So is there an actual translated version of HeroFactory, or did someone just translate a few screens and post the images?

The latter, unfortunately -- they're just images for reference while using the program.

WEll. Better that than nothing, I suppose. I never knew the young male model was called Prodigy!

'Marvel' also would have been an acceptable translation.

And, if anyone's interested, found a City of Heroes character generator, sort of.  It uses the entire client, so it's a long download, but the entire costume generator is there to use.  Just make sure to save the costume before entering game, so you can come back and tweak it later if you want.
