Nevermore II "You really gotta ask?" Charlie asked. Alek was gonna be pissed. He really wasn't supposed to go out on his own like this at all. Only on patrols with Alek, but, technically, he was doing the hero thing with a Raven, right? Even if she wasn't a Raven yet? Anyway, there was no way he wasn't going to show off here. "Here, watch this." Reaching into his belt, he pulled out a little device. It looked like a little dark raven that fit into the palm of his hand. It quickly hovered, then zipped down below towards the group, quickly starting to transmit everything it saw and heard directly to Charlie's H.U.D., while staying out of sight.

"He seems familiar. Squiggly and with clothes like that? Of course he is in charge, yes? I take it he is somewhat well known?" He smiled, moving a hand up to rub his chin, pausing when Judy brought up the voice. "I have heard nothing, but maybe you should let the voice shake something up. And then let us find this Kraken, yes?"

GM Four werewolves broke free from the buildings that surround the fleeing civilians. They howled and growled at their prey, rushing across pavement and road. They moved fast. They would reach them soon, unless stopped. Blinded and deaf, Captain Thunderwolf threw his clawed hands in front of his eyes, howling to the sky in frustration. For a moment, he seemed like he didn't know what to do, and then, as lightning crackled across him, he seemed to pick up a familiar scent. The super powered werewolf flew straight for its wayward protege, slashing at Sureshock, only to miss. No matter how strong his nose was, it didn't seem to be enough to find his prey.

Justice A beast? And a waterfall? Robin was silent, looking around, scanning, well, everything around them that she could, before she leapt into the water. Salvo knew what she was doing, right? Robin really hoped she did. Buffetting herself with boosts from her boot rockets every now and again, she did her best to follow behind the others, landing heavily on the stone floor a short moment after them, quickly stancing herself with her hands raised and her feet slightly apart. And it was just statues... "Do you know any of them?" She was so out of her depth here. "My sensors are picking up a trail." She pointed it out. She couldn't really do much to make it more visible, but there was something that she could pick out, at least. "It went that way."

Waverider can feel some strange vibrations originating from the top of the tower. It is rhytmic, almost like some kind of constant signal.

GM Alice's attempt at intimidating or drawing out her attackers might have worked. They were silent, hiding among the buildings. With Billy out of the way, it didn't seem like they really wanted to make any overt moves to reveal their position. If anything, Shooting Star would have to start looking for them, actively trying to find her attackers. At least for a moment. Then the shots fly once more, raining down all around Shooting Star, two of them finding their mark, sending electric shocks coursing through her body once again.

Nevermore II What was that? That voice? Charlie felt himself gripping at the railing without even really thinking about it. Why would he do that? The guy was just talking, and... he just wanted to turn back, get out of there? How? Why? It didn't make any sense. A chill ran up his spine, but at least he noticed the big man that moved under him. Perfect position, he couldn't pass up the chance. Reaching for his belt, he pulled out a small cylinder and dropped it on the man. It quickly expanded, exploding into a wire that tried to grab around the man. Acting faster than his size should let him, he sidestepped it, evading just at the last moment. He shouldn't even be able to see Charlie, so how did he do that?

GM "This won't do at all." One of the men that had gathered under the skylight spoke up. He was standing with his foot on something on the floor, but even with night vision goggles, it was difficult to make out in the darkness. "Do as I say, and you might make it out of here," he continued, looking at two of the men, then motioning with his hand for them to go around the elevator, on either side of the containers. He looked to one of the other men, a large fellow and nodded with his head towards the elevator. It was difficult to make out any of their features at the group's current positions. While the three men moved away, he continued to speak. Something changed in his voice. There was something very wrong. It was difficult to explain, it was a primal sense of dread that seemed to spread from the man. "Run along now, little heroes. You are in our house now."

@KnightDisciple Remember that there's a Darkness Obscure effect in action, you'll need to set up some way to handle that. Notice to find Arrow, -5 penalty due to darkness and going by sound only: 14, hidden again. That's a hit. TOU: 11 He's down. That leaves the group of 6 joined together. One from the group of 6 speaks up, and everyone roll a Will Save vs. DC20. Failing means you affected by a Fear Emotion Control effect, see p. 45 in UP. The bad guys spread out among the containers, 3 of them, including the one that spoke up, remaining at the big X. One moves to near the elevator, one to the East of it and one to the West of it. Nevermore's Will Save: 28 Nevermore drops a Snare on the guy below: 23 That's a hit. Bad guy's reflex snare vs. DC18: 26, not snared. 20 - Raven III - 3HP - Unharmed 19 - Arrow IV - 2HP - Unharmed, Discovered 16 - Criminals - 3 visible on walkways, 3x KO - 4 visible among crates and containers, 4x KO (NE, NW, SE, SW) - 3 visible under skylight - 1 Big Guy near elevator - 1 to East of elevator - 1 to West of elevator 6 - Nevermore II - 3HP - Unharmed - Darkness obscure effect: 9/10 rounds remaining @KnightDisciple is up

Depends on what you're trying to do. Intimidate, Diplomacy and Bluff got some applications in combat. Right now, it sounds mostly like you're trying to Demoralize them, which would be an Intimidate check. Each gets to roll against it, taking a penalty if they fail.

"Maybe I do, maybe I do not! It is always so fun to find out!" Pan grinned widely at Lon. He opened his mouth to say something more, before he noticed Danica. He held up a finger, grinned at Lon, then slid across the floor with a trail of golden dust behind his feet, keeping his front to Lon the entire time, before finally turning when he reached the others. "Interesting. Lon does not like the admiral," he mused with a thoughtful tone, before turning to Danica. "What do we have here?"

"I assume the rest of you are seeing what I am seeing?" Pan placed an arm around Eira's, pulling her just a bit closer, while they moved. A quick flash of golden dust rushed around all of them, their clothes and hair quickly changing to fit in. Leon in particular seemed to be wearing the absolutely tightest skinny jeans that you could have squeezed into. "Tell me, what is this?" His tone was more amused than anything else, as he looked around them.

Alright, officially out of previous combat, so post in whichever order. Waverider - 2HP - Unharmed Protectron - 2HP - Injury (x1) Emerald Spider - 1HP - Unharmed Justice - 4HP - Unharmed Visionary - 1HP - Unharmed Some suggestions, but feel free to come up with your own ideas: - Emerald Spider might know a secret way inside! She has, after all, worked on the Airconditiong! - Protectron has already homed in on the signal. Maybe he can further his search to pinpoint it within the tower? - There's lots of vibrations outside the tower, but maybe there's something that Waverider can track inside? - Of course, you can always just try to approach from the entrance and fight through the tea party guests if all else fails.

GM Emerald Tower stood high, tall towards the sky. Emerald, glittering, it was a pretty sight. As they approached, sounds of fighting could be heard from the base of the tower. A group of five people in Ultio Suits were fighting the massive horde of Tea Party Guests that had gathered at the base of the tower, doing their best to fight they way inside. So far, they were not making much progress, in part hindered by several other Ultio Suit Users that had joined the guests in protecting the tower. They at least seemed hesitant to harm the brainwashed masses. Oh, laying siege to the tower, are we? That we can't have, no, not at all, my dear friends! We are having a party, after all! And the five of you are not on the guest list! The White Rabbit's voice boomed from loudspeakers near the door to the tower. But don't worry, my friends... soon, you will join us! He paused briefly. Remember, don't be late: It is time for your very important date!

Justice "Web up the lizard guy too," Robin offered, looking over at Bill. She really didn't want him to wake up and come running at them again. Her mind was already racing. Emerald Tower. That was Max Mars' building. Was he in league with the White Rabbit? Was there a reason that he choose that place? Or was it just random? There were too many options, too many variables, she couldn't possibly think of all them at once, right here and right now. Waverider pointed in the same direction as Protectron, so... they had to be right, right? "Mars usually means robots and tech. He will probably have some automated defenses in there." She paused for a second. "I don't think he would ally with the White Rabbit, but just a few months ago I thought he was a good guy, so what do I know?" It still stung. "Alright, E.S., can you catch up to Waverider and lead the way? If you got a way inside, we'll use that, I really don't wanna start on the bottom floor. Protectron, can you home in on that signal somehow when we get closer?" Robin shifted the configuration on her armor. Rocket boosts for a jump. They needed to move over the city. With a quick burst, she leapt up above the city, heading for the Emerald Tower.

Justice "You gotta be kidding me..." Magic wards broken? Great. Body parts rolling around them? Disgusting. Robin clasped a hand up over her mouth, or at least the mouth piece of her mask, and offered a shocked gasp when Aquaria held up the head. "Could you... let that go? Please?" She hoped she wasn't being rude, but... no. She really didn't want to look at that head. "Give me a sec, I'll get in front." Robin reached for her belt, adjusting a dial. With her other hand, she reached for her helmet. Her visor changed color light blue. Small rainbow portals opened around her, pieces of armor flying out from them and attaching to her armor, bulking her up considerably, before she stepped out in front and moved on. "Alright, let's go. I really want to get out of here."

GM From his position outside the window, he didn't see anyone moving around on the eight floor. The building had been evacuated, leaving the upper floors empty for now. If the bank robbers were on the upper floors, they didn't seem to be patrolling the eight, at least. The bank was on the ground floor, only taking up the first two floors of the building. Approaching from the eight floor let the Steel Spider sneak closer. He could see a door marked with a symbol for stairs. Otherwise it looked like some kind of open office plan, with small cubicles spread around.
