  1. REBELLION Can't keep up the trick with the shadows. Too strange, too new. Didn't even know he could do that before the moment of desperation. They're all getting up. More zombies, Mingzhu keeping her distance, Abracadaver teleporting away. Whatever else Mingzhu might be able to do, Abracadaver controlled the zombies. He had to be the first to be taken down, no matter what. He could teleport, which meant he could at least try to keep up if Rebellion ran. Melee, then. Up and away from the zombies. Shapeshifting his body, drawing the shadows back into himself, Rebellion ran and leapt, soaring up and land in front of Abracadaver. A quick, careless punch followed. He doubted it would hit, but it could at least keep Abracadaver on his toes.
  2. Alright, free action to back to Enhanced Strength on the Terror array, then running and leaping to Abracadaver's location. Gonna punch with a Power Attack for -2ATK/+2DC: 13 And I think that's a miss, but that's how it goes! Otherwise, DC28 TOU save.
  3. GM "What? Who are you?" Alice looked genuinely surprised. Of course, aside from the name, this was not the same Alice that Micah had met. In the middle of the fury or thunder, he might not have realized... or perhaps he had already realized that this was his Alice. Whatever the cause, Alice didn't appear to recognize him. Alice seemed genuinely scared now, quickly moving behind Felix, her hands on his shoulders. She was almost trembling. "Please, Felix, don't let him hurt me! Look at that lightning! He's dangerous!" Felix would, of course, see that it was the right thing to do. Of course he would have to protect Alice. Micah was obviously out of control!
  4. That was Callie Summers, the second Raven! Charlie had met her before, but he was still a bit awestuck whenever he met her. She was one of his heroes, but unlike with Alek, he hadn't quite gotten used to being around her. Not that it stopped him from talking, when she asked the question. "So, you knew she was there? Why didn't you tell us?" And why hadn't they heard about a Raven running around in New York in the first place? Seemed like kind of a big deal. "You've been here for a few months, so why show up here now? There's gotta be some kind of reason for that, right?" He paused, looking over at Alek at the request. Time travellers. He was going to look for time travellers. "Already?" He was a bit disappointed, to be honest. "I kinda wanna get to know teen Callie a bit first?" He still moved over to pick up a smart pad connected to the Rookery's computer, looking through the files. Doctor Tomorrow was an option. Some kid at Claremont... not a whole lot available, really.
  5. Right, forgot I'd made it a full round action. Just gonna stay in position and use it, then.
  6. REBELLION Zombies everywhere. Abracadaver. Mingzhu. He should have run, shouldn't he? He should be afraid. But he wasn't. He didn't feel any fear like this. Part of him was worried. The rest didn't care. As everyone bore down upon him, he felt something inside. A darkness, a hunger. The part of him that was the Terror? Something else? It didn't matter at all right now. He let it out. Slamming his free hand into the ground, he let it all out. Solid Shadows poured out around, slashing and tearing at everything near him. Hit after hit rained down on the zombies, on Mingzhu, on Abracadaver, sending them flying back. The zombies were torn to pieces, unable to rise on their own power. Mingzhu and Abracadaver were knocked down, away. Only he stood. The perfect time to get away? Probably. Rebellion didn't care. He wasn't afraid. He never was. Once more, he slammed his fist into the ground, waves of shadows exploding from his fist once more, into the room.
  7. Spending a HP to get rid of fatigued, so I should be down to 0HP now. Right, sticking with using the stunted power from above on the AP! Leaping to Abracadaver so he's in melee range... and doing it again. Should hit Lady Mingzhu and Abracadaver both, though depending on distances and how you wanna rate a melee attack the +4 to hit might apply to Abracadaver, and -4 to hit might apply to Mingzhu? Your call! Not sure exactly how far they are from each other. Attack roll: 20 (without the prone modification) DC25+any bonuses from Autofire if that hits them. Your call if the FEARLESS/FOOL complication should apply again for sticking around instead of running again.
  8. You can't take any actions while Dazed, including move actions. Despite being dazed, you notice that the Justice you're carrying is awake again.
  9. GM The man rolled to the side, the energy and the kinetic blast rolling off a force field that appears for just a second over his body. Grabbing his gun with both hands, he raised it. The small pellets rained down over Salvo, sticking to the armor, where they started releasing powerful electric shocks into her systems. Up close, they almost looked like tiny little bees. "Got nothin' to tell ya, man. Yer out here, attackin' heroes! Just cus there's two people dressed up as Justice don't mean ya gotta attack 'em!"
  10. Justice Keep attacking then? Guy was tough, didn't even seem to care about Salvo's lightning this time around. Moving out from area near the tree, Justice dropped the hammer into a portal, reached into another portal and pulled out her Justice Buster. "Or just, y'know, give up. That works too!" The force setting. A burst of kinetic energy hit the man, but he didn't even seem to flinch. Some kind of force field blocked it.
  11. That's a hit, of course. Fort save: 24, makes it! Justice switches to the Justice Buster and shoots some force blasts at the Man: 28 That's a hit. TOU save vs. DC21: 26 Alright, the man gets up and fires at Salvo: 23 The attack got Autofire 1, which means a full +5 to the DC. Give me a DC29 TOU save. Give me a Notice save too, vs. DC 25, and then you're up. 14 - Justice - 2HP - Unharmed 7 - Mrs. Doors (Inside) - Unharmed, Gone 7 - The Man - Bruise (x1) 7 - Evil Justice - Unconscious 2 - Salvo - 0HP - Unharmed
  12. Got it! @Shofet, you're up!
  13. Alright, as we discussed, I'd forgotten something else I could do about the damage, and Reb was supposed to have 1 more HP, so, ignoring the previous OOC! First, I spend a HP to Dodge. That'll increase Reb's defense by 9, to 31, meaning all the hits miss. On to my turn, I start off with spending a Hero Point to get rid of the fatigue. Then, I use Extra Effort to stunt this power on his Terror array: Reb basically jams his hand into the ground, shapeshifting his shadow-y form into slashing across the entire area around him. Damage 10 (Extras: Area [Targeted Burst], Autofire; Flaws: Action [Full Round]; Feats: Accurate 3, Knockback 6, Progression [Area] 2) {31/31PP} (Descriptors: Shadow Strike, Slashing Damage Type) That's a 250 feet radius attack, so it should hit everyone in there. Rolling attack... 15 Y'know, I can do much better. Spending another HP to reroll: 26 Much better! DC25+Autofire effects TOU for the ones that get hit! And I've spent a total of 3HP, leaving me with 1, but I'm rid of fatigued until my next turn, at least!
  14. 1) Not a whole lot right where you are. You're near the seating area, which has some metal, but is mostly plastic. 2) It flaps them when it moves, so it seems like it, at least.
  15. Ignoring this! That's a lot of good rolls! At least the fatigue doesn't hit until my own turn. First TOU: 10 oof. Off to a bad start, let's reroll that: 21 Second TOU: 18, a bruise, I'll take it. Third TOU: 11 Y'know what. 3 more needed, only 2HP left, and Fatigued if I spend both of those. Let's take the KO, save some HP for after. Fourth TOU: 13 Yeah, he's down! Let' see what happens!
  16. REBELLION She was strong. Way stronger than she should be. A super human of some sort, then. Made sense. Why would the conspiracy just have one super human on their payroll? They probably had powers of some sort themselves. Rebellion remained silent as he forced he held her down, despite her struggles, despite her laugh. She just confirmed what he had suspected. She didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Not to Abracadaver, not to the conspiracy. Not to herself. Not that she even sounded like she cared about her men. He had to remember the Illustrious Song of Expressing Yin, whatever that was. Maybe it was in the book. Abracadaver rose from the basement, zombies all around him. Rebellion stayed still, stayed silent, as they began to advance. Mingzhu hissed at him. "Good to know." His response was short, to the point. With one quick and powerful throw, he tossed her straight at Abracadaver, flying across the room and colliding with him in his mass of zombies. For the briefest second, Rebellion hesistated. He should run. He knew that, intellectually. Get away from there. Escape with the book. But no. He couldn't. Pulling his right hand back, he leapt across the room, sailing through the air towards Abracadaver. Without a sound, without a word, he slammed his fist into Abracadaver's face. The hit sent him flying back towards the zombies. Good. Cleared some space, surprised him, at least. He had hoped knocking back Abracadaver would take care of things, would let him handle the zombies... He was wrong. In a moment, the ones with guns started shooting. Others started clawing and biting at him, throwing themselves on top of him. Too many, bearing down.
  17. Leaping back to get into melee range with Abracadabra, then I'm gonna surge for an extra standard action and punch him with a Power Attack maneuvre for +2DC/-2ATK: 9 Gonna spend a HP to reroll that: 9... and rolling the exact samer roll, but at least adding +10 makes it a 19. If that hits, then DC28 TOU save for Abracadaver. Any chance that jumping back and attacking instead of running triggers Reb's FEARLESS/FOOL complication, since staying and fighting really doesn't seem like the smart choice here? FEARLESS/FOOL: As Rebellion, Elliot feels no fear. While this is a great advantage, it is also a disadvantage, as he has been known to take actions that were extremely dangerous, if not outright suicidal. A GM may award Rebellion a Hero Point whenever he is in a situation where his fearlessness leads him into trouble.
  18. Grapple Check: 33 And then he throws her at Abracadaver. I figure that at the very least, Mingzhu's hurt. Maybe even hits some of the others near Abracadaver if my roll is good enough (even if Abracadaver isn't hit) Anyway... ranged attack is bad, but let's see what happens: 24 Aw yes. That's a crit ? I'm guessing at least Mingzhu (and maybe Abracadaver) gets hurt from that? DC31 from Reb's Strength with Crit added, and whatever other fun things you'd like to happen cus of the crash. I'd like to see the effect before using my Move action.
  19. Pan was not unhappy, but he was impatient. Pan had been most stuck at Claremont (in theory at least). He had been going around Freedom for the most part, but he had been looking forward to seeing Eira again. ANd to visit her home for the adventure, of course. Obviously, going somewhere else was the important point, not seeing her again. He was dressed in an emerald green dress shirt and slightly darker green shorts. He wore sandals, with a pair of sunglasses pushed up to his forehead. He flew around the others, obviously impatient, looking around trying to spot Eira. "Eira was supposed to be here now." He looked down at his phone, to see nothing again. "Have you heard anything?"
  20. CHEVAL Marcus stepped inside, carefully avoiding any of the piles. If she hadn't responded to him the moment before, he could've sworn that she had been sleeping. For his part, Marcus was in his costume, with a grey jacket over it. Not much to conceal his identity from people, but that didn't matter much anyway, did it? "Sure, I'll drink." He took the seat, reached for the glass, raised it with a "Salut!" and emptied it. Marcus had to admit that he didn't know Betsy too well, but he hadn't expected her to be the type to drink like this. "It's good to see you again, Mrs. Brooks. So, what do you need?"
  21. GM Barry the Butler huffed at Oz's question. "Yes, that is what they do here. I will make sure to fetch you some protective goggles." Charlemagne shook his head with some amusement at Barry as the penguin waddled away. "Neil... that's the cockatrice, by the way... is just an adventurous sort. He honestly doesn't know how dangerous he is, he just wants to go out and see the world. Meet some people. Unfortunately, his gaze isn't the best for being around people. He will probably be somewhere outside with a lot of people. A market, a park, something like that. Travis the jackalope is a bit, well, different. He's probably finding somewhere high up to take a nap. I honestly don't know why he bothered to escape in the first place." "As for the time..." Charlemagne looked at his arm, where a watch materialized. "I had the invitations delivered to the two of you about 3 hours ago, so I'd say they've been gone for about 4. I would like to go myself, but its not so simple for me to leave. I need to tend to the rest of my pets, of course."
  22. GM The man tried to move when the shockwave hit him, and then... he just sort of stood there, lightning crackling around his body. Justice came out of nowhere, swinging her hammer at him. It hit something though, some sort of field that protected him. He was still knocked out of the bushes and into the light in front of Salvo, but not nearly as worse for the wear as he should have been. The man looked fairly normal. Jeans, a grey jacket. He was bald, African American. He still held on to his gun, the exact same make as the ones the two heroes had seen the two Mrs. Doors using.
  23. Justice Finally! Keeping herself steady, Justice stood, watched and waited while Salvo spoke. She was paranoid, which, granted, might do Robin some good to be a bit more paranoid, but that just wasn't her. Robin simply nodded in response to what Salvo was saying. A guy near the trees, alright, she could see him. They'd been jumped a few times already, and these people were shapeshifters, at the very least, so no need to play this safe, but... Salvo let out the electric wave. Justice disappeared, reappearing next to the stunned man, already swinging her rocket hammer. She hoped they weren't wrong, it'd be awkward to apologize for hitting someone like this.
