GM Charlemagne shot a glance at Barry as he walked in. The penguin looked embarassed, even if it was a bit hard to tell, since he was a penguin, after all. "An escape! And a most daring one at that!" He chuckled a bit as Barry hurried up while pushing his cart with tea and cakes. "My cockatrice escaped after someone forgot to wear their protective goggles. It led to a bit of chaos, and it managed to bring a jackalope along and escaped into the city. Obviously, I would like to have them brought back here safe and sound, but they could be anywhere out there, and the cockatrice can at least be quite dangerous."

ic Meanwhile at the stately Summers Manor...
RocketLord replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in North Bay
"Guess partner's the word, but I'm good with sidekick. At least until Alek thinks I'm ready to fly solo." He returned the smile, and then froze briefly as she introduced herself. Wait. Callie Summers? As in the previous Raven? He put his hands up, trying to pause the whole thing as he tried to get just a little bit caught up on what was happening. "Wait, wait, wait! You are Callie Summers? This is Callie Summers?" Yeah, Ashley might have kind of shot him down with just a short look and the nod before ignoring him, but no, he needed to get in on this. Time travel, clone, dimensional displacement? Alright, Alek and Ashley had probably seen it all before, they would figure something out, but stuff like this was brand new to Charlie. If Ashley was just gonna talk past him, then at least he'd be the one to talk with Callie. He crossed his arms, grinning at the absurdity of the situation. "So, how'd you get here? I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be way older than me." She probably knew everything, right? Still, he'd let Alek decide that before he went into details.- 47 replies

-- Omw -- It didn't take long for Charlie to get there, approaching the group in a pair of black gym shorts and a dark grey tank top. He was sweating, a short white towel around his neck as he approached. "What's up, boss?" He paused when he noticed the company. The older woman was Ashley Tran, Copycat or Watchdog, depending on the time. They'd met a few times, just something brief. Introductions to the newest member of the Raven family and all that. "Oh, hey Ashley." The other one was new, though... and pretty good looking, too. He stood up just a little bit straighter, grabbed the towel around his neck with both hands and grinned at Callie. "Hey, I'm Charlie." No idea who she was, so best to stick to secrets so far, right? Even if she seemed strangely familiar, somehow.- 47 replies

GM Maybe one day they would. But not this day. This day, Emerald Spider and Justice had been heroes. They had saved people, but it was clear that there was something more to it all than it had first seemed. Bittersweet as the victory might have been, it was still a victory, as they left the Morgenstern warehouse behind.

GM "That damned shadow!" Obviously, Ahab had met Forever Boy's shadow before. And he didn't seem to like it. He yelled something, he cursed and screamed, then threw a harpoon that went very wide, flying past Forever Boy and somewhere into the darkness of the whale. "I will kill you! Both of you! I am the hero here! You are nothing but gnats! The whale will die!"

Forever Boy Pan spreads his hands out to the side. Oh, no, this was not the time for talking anymore. Well, not only talking, at least. It wasn't something that anyone was likely notice, but far below, on the ground, his shadow was gone. "Come now, Ahab. Is this any way to act? This is not your world, things are different here." From the building Ahab was climbing, Pan's shadows stretched out, grasping on to Ahab's legs and pulling at him. "Stick around! You wanted the whale, now you are in it!"

Ahab Initiative: 17 Forever Boy sends his shadow to attack Ahab. Since Ahab is on his guard and know's Pan, he's not caught flat-footed despite the Indirect 3 and Subtle. Attack roll: 21, that's a hit. Ahab reflex vs. DC20: 18, he's entangled. The shadow anchor's him to the ground. Forever Boy does a Feint as Move Action: Bluff: 45 Ahab can't reach that, so he's feinted. As a Free action, Pan uses Setup to give that to Gauss. Rather than try to free himself right now, he throws a harpoon at Forever Boy: 11 A miss, and Gauss is up. 22 - Forever Boy - 4HP - Unharmed 17 - Ahab - Unharmed, Entangled (ATK/DEF-2, Dex-4) 11 - Gauss - 3HP - Unharmed

GM "Ah, if only you weren't right, my friend." Charlemagne eagerly shook Oz's hand, before he turned his attention to Blackstaff. Approaching, the jovial man extended a hand towards the newcomer. "And you must be Christoper Daye of Blackstaff Investigations!" His grip was firm, but not hard. Barry waddled by, disappearing into a room. "I am Charles Charlemagne, and as our mutual friend implied, I am afraid this is not a social call." He paused. For dramatic effect, maybe? Turning to address both, Charlemagne continued. "Some of my pets have gone missing. I would like your help in finding them."

REBELLION Elliot stared, his eyes widening slightly as he stared at Ms. Wells, then pulled back and let out a short laugh. "You sound absolutely crazy, you know that, right? Look, Mars made this to help people, right? And now you're talking about all the things that it might be recording and sending to MarsTech, and you want to borrow it what, make it better? Or steal all that data you say it might be tracking? Seriously? You do know how shady you're sounding about now, right?" He stood up, shaking his head. "Yeah, sorry Ms. Wells, but that all sounds a little bit too much like some industrial espionage, and I'm not really into getting into that kind of trouble. Sorry, but I'm out." Turning around, he started walking away.

RocketLord replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
Julia scoffed at how carefree the rest of the team seemed. These people were going to save the multiverse? She could only hope their mysterious backer had some backups ready. And then... chaos. Julia was silent, watching and standing back, but there was something different about her silence. It wasn't her general silence, there was awe as she watched the female Centurion fly by. The gold and blue. Even in her time that meant something. But then... Science police? This wasn't her time. Police might not be all corrupt here, and this place was very different from home. Was the Centurion the bad guy? Mastermind the good guy? People had fled from the blue and gold, after all... She hesitated. She had to see more. Had to hear responses. -
Photokinetic: PL10/150PP The photokinetic is fast. You're not just playing around with light and lasers, with Insubstantial 3 you are light and lasers. With While the normal Flight at rank 1 might seem a bit low for a semi-speedster, it can be boosted up to Flight 11 by how you configure the Light Morphing array and Light Speed Dynamic Array, letting you zip around the battlefield at full speed, elping wherever you go. Aside from the Flight speed boost, the Light Morphing array is your utility and defenses. You can change your appearance with Morph, go invisible with Concealment or help everyone around you by glowing bright enough to blind everyone you want with your Obscure. Your defense are completely dynamic, being able to change your defensive trade-offs completely (within PL) every turn if you want, by using the Light Speed Defenses array. Offensively, you use the Light Attack array for blasting and punching. Single target laser, cone area laser, Autofire punches (which you can use while Insubstantial because of the Selective feat on that power), or maybe you just want to Paralyze everyone in a cone area by blasting light to scramble their brains? The Photokinetic isn't really strong and their stats don't go far, but their powers are where its at. Skillwise, the Photokinetic isn't really great yet. I imagined the character as someone very much in the vein of DC Comics' Impulse. Rabbit Totem: PL10/150PP So, here's a guy with rabbit powers. Maybe he's got a magic ring that let's him transform into a magic hero, maybe he's chosen by a rabbit god, or who knows, he got bitten by a radioactive bunny? At any rate, he's pretty quick, he can leap around and can burrow through the ground for sneak attacks. He's all about moving around and making quick attacks, focusing on different kinds of kicks to take down foes. Stay mobile, use your Move-By Action, Acrobatic Bluff and your luck. She might not be the brightest bulb, but the rabbit totem's a social hero with high wisdom and charisma, and with the feats and skills to put that to use. As alternatives, go for some different attacks effects (or spend the rest of the PP in those array slots), or maybe move around the stats or skills a bit. @Growth Spurt: Alright, I'll let you do that over, so we can get it done in the right order. First, roll your attack as normal: 1d20+Attack Bonus. Then, if that hits, I'll roll a d20 for the guy that you hit. On a 11-20, you'll miss. I'll just do those hit/miss d20 rolls, since I'm doing the GM'ing. How exactly those are rolled can differ with the GM.

Well, as far as I understand it, the Covers Scent feat means that whenever Reb shapeshifts, his scent shapeshifts with him. So you can't just pick out that he's transformed by him smelling differently. Bluff: 23

So, what was this? The things that erupted, took on form and screamed, then fell back into the puddle? Had it absorbed them somehow? Made them part of itself? It was weird, but the thing just wasn't stopping, even with everything Parker's ally threw at it. He really needed something to call her. It was slippery. Evading every attempt at trapping it and keeping it trapped. Break free at every chance it had, but if his punches couldn't hurt it, he would have to stop it in other ways. So, focus. Close down all distances around it. Make every single move it makes unending, double the distance, then double that and so on. Maybe those memories could be saved somehow.

Let's try a Snare one more time, around the whole thing: 28 Alright, that should hit, DC20 reflex save.

GM Inside, Salvo could see the invisible Mrs. Doors well enough as she raised her gun and quickly fired. For a brief second, her entire body seemed to flare up, like some current was running through her entire body, then it was like everything about her folded in on itself, like something was bending all of everything around her for a brief moment. And then she was gone. Completely gone. Outside, the blast of electric hit the fleeing Mrs. Doors in the gut, but it didn't seem to deter her in any way. Instead, she just stopped and turned around, quickly taking another shot. "No use playing with you, then." She reappeared, but now it wasn't Mrs. Doors that stood before Justice. It was Justice.
