Doktor'd! Cheval A small update, to make his Power of Ogoun array a bit more readable. No mechanical changes, just writing it a bit differently. GM "Ladies and geeeentle-men! I give you... Levity!" The announcer's voice barely cut through the roar of the crowd, as Levity took to the sky, her jet cutting through any static and noise. Clear skies for Levity to start her show, all other planes had circled far away or landed by now. She was, after all, the main attraction. Nothing in her way, nothing but her and the plane. Of course, from the ground below, things might look different. At least to Chromium. As he stared up at the plane, he noticed something else. A rapidly growing shadow in front of the sun, something or someone rapidly approaching.

Alright, here's the social thread: Justice has sent out the call for the heroes of EC to meet up, so join up if it sounds like something you'd do: Calling All Heroes There's a few threads going atm, which is great. If anyone want to get something set up for their characters, let me know here, on discord or by PM, and I'll start setting up threads for you. Tell me what you'd want to get involved in, and I'll make it happen.

Justice 8PM, March 14th, 2020 Betlehem Heights, the noodle place on the corner of 14th and Ramos Robin was nervous. Not quite to the oh-god-I'm-a-wreck level of nervous just yet, but she was nervous. She wasn't the only hero in Emerald City, which was great, but everything was just so random. One day, she'd run into Emerald Spider, then it would be months before she saw someone else. Emerald City was big, sure, but it was almost like everyone was staying away from everyone else on purpose, and well, she'd been nervous about trying to rock the boat there. Emerald City didn't have many heroes, she didn't want to get on the bad side of anyone by pretending she could be the one to call everyone together and boss them around or anything like that. She really didn't want to do anything like that, but, well... things were changing, right? They'd probably seen the news of the Mars Ultio Suits, if they hadn't already run into them on the streets. And well, she knew some things about them that the others might not. At least she had a little bit of local fame with the whole thing with fighting the Wall getting on TV and when she helped put Devlin back in place, so she wasn't a total unknown. Still, she was still nervous about this thing. She was wearing her costume. Red with light grey boots and gloves, a pink lion on her chest and wearing her red domino mask. She wasn't quite ready to let everyone know who she was here, but wearing the full armor would be weird, if she wasn't about to fight someone at least. God, she hoped nobody would start fighting. So, Robin put out the call on HeroHouse and CapesList. A simple message: Hey, everyone in Emerald City, this is Justice! I know we're not really a close-knit community or anything, but things seem to be changing, and I'd like everyone to meet up. I'll be at the noodle place at the corner of 14th and Ramos in Betlehem. I hope I'll see you all there. Right, so, she had met Emerald Spider, Meta-Naut and Kanunu. Hopefully at least one of them would show up, maybe some of the other heroes that had started running around. At least the owners of this place were good people, they didn't mind people in masks and costumes. Maybe she'd even get the chance to thank Emerald Spider for introducing her to the place. So, she waited. Eyes on the door. Hoping that at least someone would show up.

Alright, here's me having reworked what you got. I haven't touched the skills, that's up to you. As is, this build uses 130 out of 150PP available, leaving you with 20PP to spend as you wish. As I said, your descriptors need some more work, and mind the notes in red. Paper Power Level: 10 built as 8 (150/150PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: None In Brief: Fell through the cracks of the foster system. Ex-juvie, out on conditional parole for ‘good behavior’. Catchphrase: None Theme: None Alternate Identity: Leon Moore (Secret) Birthplace: Seattle, WA Residence: Claremont Academy Base of Operations: Claremont Academy Occupation: Student Affiliations: Claremont Academy Family: Foster brother and sister Description: Age: 17 (DoB: March 19, 2003) Apparent Age: 17 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5' 10" Weight: 175 lbs. Eyes: Grey Hair: Black Description: Black hair, cut short and brushed back except for a few bangs that won't cooperate. Leon keeps himself in shape, and trains to keep his agility. He likes to dress casually in his free time, anime/cartoon themed t-shirts and jeans usually. His ‘costume’ use to typically consists of a black short sleeved shirt with red trim, blue jeans and sneakers. This is accompanied by a slim, black backpack with a few various books in it at any time, along with some personal items. Several small black pockets on straps around arms (1 on each), thighs (2 on each) and 2 each hip of his belt. Each pocket is large enough to hold a deck of index cards. Hanging on back of the belt is a case that holds 2 rolls of paper. History: Born in Seattle to a teen mother, she moved to Freedom City when he was still young with her then boyfriend. When Leon began to show signs of not being ‘normal’ the man abandoned them, his mother felt she could not take care of a ‘special’ child and surrendered him to the foster system without telling them of his ‘nature’. Shortly there after she returned to family in Seattle. Leon has not had any contact with her since. In the system since age 8, Leon was moved from home to home several times, unable to settle, acting up, and trying to run away. At first, he blamed his powers for his mother abandoning him 11, then he landed in the same foster house as two other children with powers. With their help he accepted his powers and embraced them. The three agreed that they could only rely on each other and swore to always be there for the others. Believing the system was a failure and that no one else could or would see them as more then either a burden or a paycheck, the three ran away together and turned to small crimes to do what they thought they needed to survive. Personality & Motivation: coming Power Descriptions: Leon can control and manipulate paper, altering its shape and strength at his will. He can make paper as stronger than metal and sharper than any normal blade. He can make it solid enough to resist liquids and gas. He can even resist heat and fire to a point. It can easily protect from an explosion with little harm to the paper, but repeated or continued exposure will eat away at the paper. Shaping it, he can create nearly anything from simple weapons and gear to clothing and simple golems. Many pieces of smaller papers can be melded into a single, seamless construction and when done with them the constructs fall apart into their original pieces, or what’s left of them. Aside from his power over paper, or perhaps more because of it, Leon has taught himself how to use simple weapons. These would cover most blades, clubs/maces, spears/staves, bows and arrows, and throwing objects. All things he can easily create with paper. Skill wise, Leon is quick and agile from practicing often. He is not overly strong, equal to anyone his size that works out every so often. He has also developed a firm sense of balance. Complications: And I don’t give a damn about my bad reputation: Reputation: Leon and his foster siblings have records with the juvenile courts, and he doesn’t care if others know. Being predisposed to thinking that, in the end, everyone is looking out for themselves. It’s just a flesh wound: Disability: Leon lost his left arm not long ago during a robbery attempt. During the robbery Leon and a rookie officer were caught in a building collapse, he protected the officer, but his arm was crushed mid bicep. Leon uses his powers to create and maintain a paper arm that looks real enough. "Of course, it is perfectly normal for anyone to start talking about me. I do tend to come up naturally in any conversation." A bit of a teasing tone to his voice, but Pan did sound confident. He could just as well be telling the truth as he could be teasing, while he placed his hands at his sides, thrusting his chest slightly forward. "Why, yes, purely an ironic date." Of course Pan mirrored Eira's words from when she proposed they go together. He seemed to take some joy in doing just that. "We have plans, of course." He looked at the others, flashing his best devilish grin. "Secret plans."

REBELLION The ash would not go undisturbed for long. Soon, a solitary figure before it, glowing white eyes from the darkness under a blue baseball cap scanning the area. The pile of ash was small, but it was there, in the middle of the street. It would be gone soon, wind and time doing its thing, but before that, Rebellion had found it. He stood above the ash. It wasn't meant to be here, it wasn't supposed to be here. Someone would need to have burned something to leave the ash behind, someone would need to have burned it fast, and it would have needed to be a certain size to leave a pile of ash like this behind, still not taken by the wind, but he hadn't seen any fire. Even then, fire would have left some marks beyond the ash, and there was nothing. Rebellion bent into a crouch, tracing the ash with his fingers. It felt... off. It was a weird feeling. A strange sensation. It was just ash, after all, but he couldn't shake it. This was all wrong for the city's patterns. Ash shouldn't be here. So, he looked. There had to be something here. Anything, any kind of clue that could lead him to what had caused this. Tracks on the ground, feelings of heat... noises in the distance. It couldn't have been here for long. The ash wouldn't last long. It was a mystery. One that he wanted to solve.

Rebellion tries to find any clues to where whoever left the bunch of ash went, with a Search check: 11 And I roll a 1. Wonderful start.

GM Alice didn't follow Micah. Her confusion seemed to give away to frustration. Her hands tightened into fists, she stomped her foot into the ground. "No. No, no, no, no! Don't touch her!" She didn't even seemed to notice Ashley having raised the gun. "Who cares about what your mother thinks? I'm here for you, not for her! Teach me this thing if is so important to you! I'll learn, I'll be just what you want me to be!" She seemed to be flaring up again, starting to glow. Angry bursts of light while her voice rose to yells and screams.. "You... you're all just... you just don't want Micah to be happy! I can make you happy, Micah! I can make you love me! Don't do this to me... to us! Don't do this to us! You're better than this!"

Forever Boy "I will take the long path if necessary." Pan was right by Ashley's side, shimmering sword in his hands, ready to strike if Übermensch rose. "Adam, Benny, go, I will keep Ashley company until everyone is out. You have knocked him down, now run." His entire body glowed, Pixie Dust falling from him in greater amounts than any of them had ever seen. He lit up the area around them, while slowly backing away together with Ashley. "I do not leave friends behind, Ashley." His voice was lower, his tone somber. "If you want me to go, then you are coming along, too. After all, can you imagine imagine what Judy and Leroy would get up to if you stayed behind in the past?" His playful tone returned for the last bit.

GM Übermensch struggled to rise. Even through the daze as blows continued to rain down, he was still far from done. They had hurt him, yes, an impressive feat in and of itself, but he was far from out. They only served to fuel his anger, as his fingers dug into the ground. The laser fire rained down on him. He barely felt them sting, instead he simply glared up at Ashley as he fought to regain his bearings amidst the assault. More and more people from the village entered the cave. Macedon stood by it, yelling in French for them to get inside. So close, only a few seemed to remain. If the heroes held their ground, then maybe they would be able to save them. Of course, maybe also meant Übermensch would get the chance to strike back.

No need to roll, that hits even without the startle. He still shrugs that off with no issue! Pan is of course not gonna listen while there's still people there. That's why I did that attack, to help you learn it, since a good use of Create Object is walls, just like you did! You'll want to look at the Damaging Objects section at page 166 in the core book. Basically, objects only take lethal damage, not the non-lethal that's normally used. Like with characters, they can take Injuries, which gives -1 to further saves, become Disabled, which means equipment no longer functions and walls have holes or, when Dying, its completely destroyed. So, your 28 and 25 passes the save. The 11 fails by 11, which, as per house rules, means it is Disabled, and there's now holes in it! The 19 is an injury, so -1 to further rolls, but further attacks might get through the holes! You can use Create Object to create new walls, of course! Or repair the old ones! 16 - 4x Thugs - Unharmed, 1x Shaken 8 - Knight of Earth - 4HP - Bruise (x1) - Wall TOU+10 - Disabled, Injury (x1) 7 - Spectre - 1HP - Unharmed

GM "Shaddup, punk!" Well, the hard light holograms did their best to emulate some actual terrorists, too. From the control room, Armstrong leaned back in his chair and rolled his eyes, but remained silent. The program was running on auto right now, he had no need to get involved. From up above, the four enemies continued to rain down fire, laser blasts hitting all over the walls that Ivy had created, doing their best not to give the two heroes a chance to break through.

There's some comments and thoughts @Spacefurry -
Dreamcatcher - WIP (Shelved indefinitely)
RocketLord replied to Spacefurry's topic in Character Building
Alright, I'll try to give it a proper look, give me a bit and I'll edit this. I won't go into any formatting things, but please format it as the sample sheet here. Bold, italics, indents, etc. makes sheets much easier to read. If you don't have extras, flaws, feats or drawbacks on a power, you don't need to list none. Just don't list anything, makes it more readable. Won't go into everything, since your Combat and Saves part are clearly not finished, which is fine. Starting from the top: Abilities Probably be a good place to cut down, but nothing inherently wrong with that. Skills: That is a lot of skills. Consider if you really need all of those, and remember your bonuses from abilities. Do you really need a +24 to knowledge physical sciences and technology, for instance? Consider trimming some of these here. For a rule of thumb, most skill DCs tend to go in increments of 5, so go for bonuses of +5, +10, +15, etc. Feats: Don't take Assessment, its just not good What do your benefit do? You probably won't need to use Skill Mastery for Craft rolls, you can almost always take 10 for those, probably better used for something else! Powers: Anthro-fox traits container: I'm guessing this has to do with their biology, being a fox and all. As it is, there's not really any reason for the two Strike powers. From a purely mechanical standpoint, they're a waste of points, since one will just be your Strength Bonus + 1 for the DC, the other will just be DC16, which is really low. I'd cut those out, saving you 3PP. If you haven't already, I'd read up on Super-Senses house rules here, since we've made some changes. Skinsuit: Immunity: The way you have it listed, its a bit difficult to understand what level of Immunity. Did you mean Immunity to damage from descriptors, environmental effects, what? Protection: Makes sense, I guess. Communication: You need to put in some more info for how the communication works with some descriptors and such. It is radio communications, bluetooth, what? Dreamcatcher armor: Powered Array: You need to add a rank to the array. You probably won't need Penetrating at full rank. It is an extra you can add partial ranks of, if you want. With just Penetrating 5 you should be good to hurt just about anyone, no matter their Impervious Toughness rank. Saves you some PP. I wouldn't bother with Boost, tbh. Just make a dynamic array for the powers instead, its simpler, probably cheaper. You could put your enhanced strength into a slot in this array, save some PP there. Powered Frame: Not much to say here, but see the notes about enhanced strength and Boost above. Comms/Sensor suite: For Super-Senses, see the house rules above again. You got some overlap here with your regular super-senses, you don't need to get the same thing twice. I would probably cut down a bit here, you don't really need all this. Extended in particular rarely comes up in play. Environmental Seals: I'd cut out Sensory Shield if you want to save points. Its cheaper to just higher Reflex and Fortitude saves, and that helps with more saves. Cynthia: You can get an onboard AI with a feature like this: Features 2 (Built-in Subtle Computer) [2PP] (Computer, A.I. System) Some big things in summary, not covered above: The protection from your Skinsuit and Dreamcatcher Armor stacks, and they stack with your Constitution Defensive Roll, for a total Toughness of +17 and Impervious Toughness 11, which breaks caps for a PL10. You can at most have a total Toughness of +15 and Impervious Toughness 10 at PL10, which would mean you could, at most, have Defense +5. Offensively, you have almost nothing that will help you hit anything. As PL10, you will want at least 1 power where your ATK bonus + Damage rank equals 20 when added together, preferably more. Aside from at least 1/3rd, rounded up, needing to come from your base attack, you can use the Accurate power feat for your attacks, or the feats Attack Focus or Attack Specialization. -

Its a tech suit, right? Start out with basics, maybe the dimensional transfer messed it up or something. Expand it as you get more PP to use. -
That's a hit, DC25 save: 19 Well, that was bad. GM 1:30 PM, March 7th, 2020 Emerald Skies Airshow, Joint Army/Air-Force Base Clark-Gordon, Cascadia The show had been coming for a while. The skies were clear and blue. Fighter jets roared across the sky, drawing colorful, emerald smoketrails behind them. The crowds cheered, the people of Emerald City was getting into the airshow. Even if the air was cool, the sun was warm. Mattus had sent Chromium to provide security. Since his arrival in Emerald City, he had spent time training at Clark-Gordon, learning to be better. Now, he was security. Just in case, Commander Irons had said. Nothing was going to happen, but it was good to get out there. See the people, see what he was fighting for. No need to be seen unless necessary, of course. A big shiny guy would stand out, but he could at least enjoy the show from the shadows. Nolan Aeronautics was here by invitation. In fact, they had asked for one Anne Mistral in particular. She was famous, after all. If anything, her presence would only draw larger crowds. While another jet soared across the sky, painting emerald circles with its smoke, the call went out that Levity was up next...

Justice No one had seen her, right? Nobody probably noticed her before now, so... Reaching for the belt buckle with her right hand, Robin clicked the button. This really wasn't the time for a dramatic entrance, no need to shout. The inner suit expanded from the belt, covering her body. So far, so good, she rushed out of the alley, as small rainbow portals opened in the air around her, various bits and pieces of armor flying out from them, attaching to the undersuit as she moved, until, finally, the helmet appeared as the last piece, her red scarf almost exploding out from the armor and trailing behind her. The jets in her boots activating, she rushed ahead, reaching one of the parked vehicles and jumping over it, reaching into another rainbow portal to pull out a slightly oversized handgun. She landed on the ground in front of the vehicle and took her shot, a burst of force shooting from the gun's barrel and hitting one of the Mafiya man straight in the chest, sending him flying back. Then she noticed the guy hovering on a spray of water. "Oh, hey! I'm Justice, guess you're one of the good guys too?" Focus, focus. Meeting another hero, cool! Very cool, but she really had to try to focus here, this was a lot of bad guys. Best thing she could do was probably get in close...
