  1. That's just Fly-Boy and TKO left... but where exactly is TKO? He doesn't take any visible actions. Archer goes for Fly-Boy, firing a bunch of Rapid Fire Standard Arrows: 23 A hit, but not enough for extra DC. Fly-Boy TOU vs DC21: 21 Just makes it! And Fly-Boy goes for Archer, flying at him: 16 That's a miss, and Facs is up. 26 - Fly-Boy - Bruise (x2) 20 - Facsimile - 0HP - Bruise (x2), Staggered 20 - TKO - Unharmed 14 - Bear-Knuckle - KO 11 - Archer II - 2HP - Unharmed 6 - Heavyweight - KO
  2. Justice Alright, knowing what these things were and why they were out here would be good, right? Still, Robin felt kinda weird about actually interrogating them. Sure, you'd expect that heroes would have to do that, but she never had to do that until now, at least not on the whole "wake them up and threaten them" bit that Meta-Naut seemed to be getting on to here. But alright. These things had attacked them first, and she didn't like the thought of them living right next to the AnneX. Pulling out her rocket hammer, she held it ready. It looked more menacing than any of her other tools, at least.
  3. GM The creature slowly opened its eyes and looked up. They were bright yellow, a sharp contrast to its grey skin. Up close like this, the skin seemed almost like stone or clay, not entirely organic. <"What?"> the creature snapped back, still groggy as it tried to stand up, then stopped when it noticed the weapons pointed at it. <"You come to this place, you come for us, and you dare threaten me? Is that it?"> Still, its eyes narrowed on the Meta-Naut's weapon. <"Ask, then. Not like it will matter when you blast a hole in my head.">
  4. The race had been fun, and fast, and Pan had spent most of the rest of the day chatting with Veronica, floating along with her as she swam and generally keeping her company. Now seated for dinner, he saw little need to let Veronica be the only one with a glass of wine. He prefered it red (or maybe some rum instead), but he had to admit that white wine was a better fit for the salad and bread. Still dressed in the same clothing as earlier, which he managed to still look great, of course, he carefully picked at the salad with his fork. It was not that he was picky, he just wasn't entirely fond of salad. He looked up at the photographs. Sunken ships. There could only be one answer to Davyd's question, as far as he was concerned. "What about treasure?" There was a certain rare shine in his eyes, while he handed the pictures to the next at the table. "This is a sunken ship, is it not? There is bound to be treasure on something like that, no?"
  5. A being from the stars, a cosmic lover, has come to Claremont, setting its sights on the student body as it attempts to find the perfect love! Its first target? Thunderbird! Of course, the cosmic lover is fickle, and what might be complete devotion and true love one moment, might be discarded if something better shows up. Anyone interested in helping Micah fight off the cosmic lover's advances, or potentially ending up the target of their love? I figure this will run with a bit of a revolving cast, with me bringing in and ushering out characters as they will pop up.
  6. @secondling: That's a hit! 19, he's staggered and dazed. @Avenger Assembled: There's a bit more distance between them than what Interpose normally allows since Ashley moved to the other end of the church, but yeah, I'll allow it. Give me some saves and an IC of it and I'll follow up with a GM post to end the round, then go to the next. 29 - Forever Boy - 5HP - Unharmed24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed23 - Die Walküre - Bruise (x1) - On frontlines, near Forever Boy and Specimen22 - Sea-Wolf - Unharmed, No dodge bonus - On frontlines, between Forever Boy and Specimen (near the bridge) and the church. 7. Big and ugly made his intentions clear. Tried to headbutt Terrifica. Alright, that was everything Connor needed. With Terrifica moving and countering, he had to wait for the right moment when she put just enough distance between herself and the toad. Didn't take long. Terrifica was good, staying close without sticking too close. Connor took his shot, or rather, shots. Three riot foam arrows fired one by one, straight at the big toad. With barely any time between each, they struck their target, each quickly expanding into a rapidly hardening light grey foam. It shouldn't take more than a moment, if they had that long.
  8. GM The priest didn't seem sure, but he stll offered a prayer in French. <"There's nowhere to run. The Nazis have come to burn this place. They want to punish the resistance fighters, and the moment you're gone, they'll be back for Oradour-sur-Glane."> While Donar and Madame Blitz yelled from the explosion that rocked them outside, a grenade dropped down from above Judy and the priest. Die Eule laughed from above as the grenade went off at Judy's feet, threatening to catch both her and the priest in the blast. He didn't bother with anything else as he moved, quickly disappearing under the cover of the explosion. The heavy doors of the church were flung open, as Madame Blitz stormed inside. She was bruised, with tears in her suit, but otherwise she didn't seem nearly as harmed as one would expect after taking a grenade to the face. "Schweinhund!!" A lightning blast danced across her hands, shooting out towards the Watchdog! For his part, Donar shook his head. The blast had taken more out of him than he would admit. Maybe now would be a good time to stirke against the thunder god?
  9. Donar reflex save vs DC20: 7 DC25 TOU: 18, bruise and dazed Madame Blitz reflex save vs DC20: 13 DC25 TOU: 22, a bruise! Nice shot! Unfortunately for Judy's bluff, it seems that the Übersoldaten have strict orders for being there and won't be falling for that. Judy's danger senses save herfrom a surprise attack! DC20 Reflex save, DC25 TOU save vs. a grenade from die Eule for Judy! Die Eule then uses Stealth and Hide In Plain Sight to disappear again, give me a DC24 Notice check if you try to find him. Madame Blitz comes in blasting and fires an electric blast at Watchdog: 22. That's a hit, so give me a DC25 TOU save. Donar is dazed but gets over that after this turn. I'll be skipping the soldiers as they mostly just scatter now that die Übersoldaten are on the scene. @secondling, you're up. 10. A bruise/injury for the snare, but it still holds. What are you gonna do?
  11. @Exaccus, you're up!
  12. Forever Boy An apt vibe, perhaps. Or perhaps not? Who could tell? For his part, Pan offered his right hand to Mia. Everything around them seemed to shimmer light, as if a bubble formed around them with a light golden shimmer. "First to hide from prying eyes," he started, "And then try to look for some adventure!" Everyone around them started to ignore them. It was like they didn't even see Mia and the Forever Boy. "I heard a rumor. A little place, a curious boutique that moves about, full of all manner of interesting things. Maybe magic, maybe not? Sounded like it might be fun! Should be somewhere in Bayview now!"
  13. Justice Robin followed, she was taken in. Of course she, this was Max freakin' Mars! He was her hero, maybe even more than any of the super heroes she had idolized. Well, in a different way at least. He was a hero in his own right, wasn't he? He could do the impossible, he had made impossible things, so of course she was gonna follow. With a wide grin, she walked behind him and over to the curtained-off section near the back. What was in there? It could be anything, right? And then, the question. And for a moment Robin froze completely. Did she want to be a super hero? She was completely blank for a moment. Did Max Mars know? Was it just coincidence? He was Max Mars. He might have figured it out. He was smart enough for it, even if she'd tried to be safe. "I... errr..." Think quick, make a decision, any decision. "Yes, of course! I'd love to!" Nice, great! Deflection! Who'd think someone who was a super hero would want to be a super hero? Nice save!
  14. Archer II "You're the boss." Archer commented from his seat, looking out at the moon ahead of them. "I'm with Merge in the sneaky group, then." Sneaking, alright. He could do that. Get into a proper position to cause some chaos. He wouldn't mind staying around some of the bigger guns, but he'd manage. This was the kind of thing he had trained for, anyway. Just not on the freaking moon.
  15. GM Irons was silent for a moment, then the humming sound stopped. Whatever pull Chromium had felt on his body let go, whatever magnetic device had held him in place was deactivated. The small room around him slowly pulled apart, and the chains loosened. Irons stood before Chromium, his hands folded behind his back. By his side, the soldier was holding out a pair of high tech handcuffs. "Hold your hands out and accept the handcuffs, then I'll show you." Irons' tone didn't invite to discussion, as the soldier slowly approached, holding out the cuffs.
  16. GM The creature struggled and slashed at the quantum webbing as it was covered in it. It screamed, it roared, but even the spikes all over its body did little to help it. It toppled and fell over, screeching as Justice's blasts hit it. Lucky shots, probably, raining down on the creature with enough force to at least knock the wind out of it. The thing breathed, it seemed. The captives started running in the opposite direction, as fast as they could, towards any exits they could find, scattering all around the heroes and the monster.
  17. Justice With the webbing flying all over the creature and binding it in place, Robin leapt into action on her own. Gun at the ready, aim taken, she fired a shots at him and prayed. He was bigger than before, looked even more pissed off. They'd managed to stop him before, but it had hurt, so really, they'd need more than a little luck for this. At least she wasn't alone here. Emerald Spider was here, she'd knew what to do. With Robin's shots hitting their target, she watched with some joy as the creature grunted in pain from the hits. She shouldn't enjoy it, but this guy had kidnapped all these people, and who knew what else he had been up to? "Come on, you heard the Spider! Get out of here, we'll stop this guy!" She sounded confident, sure, but she wasn't really feeling it.
  18. Alright, I'm just gonna roll the Snare TOU then: 26, made it. Justice shoots at the monster, who has no dodge bonus and -5 to his defense from being helpless: 29 Very much a hit. Monster rolls TOU vs DC21: 14 Fail by 7, Bruise and Dazed. You're up! Please roll a TOU for the snare, since it touches on your turn. 16 - Emerald Spider - 2HP - Unharmed 13 - Justice - 1HP - Unharmed 9 - Enemy - Bound & Helpless, Bruise (x1), Daze until its turn
  19. GM Rising, the old man turned slowly and approached, only pausing when Agnes threw herself before him and called for salvation. The old man's skin was greying, maybe once Caucasian, but no longer. His eyes seemed unnaturally bright, almost like a light shone from them. He moistened his lips, dry from his prayers. "Oh, my child, there is no reason for that. Of course I will help you." His voice was grandfatherly. With his left hand, he made the sign of cross in front of himself, then reached out with his right and placed it on Agnes' shoulder. "Come now, stand. I understand you had some trouble with my dear friend Crimson Cross. I am sure it was all a big misunderstanding." The winged woman in red, this Crimson Cross, remained by the door, crossing her arms and scoffing. Jonathan remained close by, leaning against one of the pews in the old church.
  20. CHEVAL Not everything is for everyone, but maybe I will win you over yet. I will see you there. Placing his phone down, Marcus found himself just staring at it for a moment. It seemed pretty clear what Persephone wanted from him. It still felt weird to think about her as anyone but Persephone, but that was not her name, was it? Camellia, then. Would bringing flowers be too obvious? It had been way too long since anyone had shown any interest in him that wasn't just because of his fame. Saturday, he stood by the door by the address in Atwater. Not the nicest place in Vibora, but better than most of the surrounding neighborhoods, at least. The driver had dropped him off a bit away. No need to let anyone know just where he was going, after all. He wore a red dress shirt with a black tie, a pair of black slacks, with a thick dark grey jacket over it. Marcus had thought much more about all this than he probably should, but still, now he was here, standing in front of her door, looking at it. He had a bouquet of flowers in his left hand, mainly peonies and stock, with a few other flowers in between. He knew little about flowers, but he had to bring something, didn't he? Looking at the door, Marcus shook his head. He was Marcus Dumont, he was Cheval! Not some lovestruck teenager! Why was he hesitating? They were both grown people, adults! Finally gathering the courage needed, he knocked twice on the door.
  21. GM With a yell of pain, die Walküre reeled back from the blow to the side of her head. The helmet had protected her from the worst of it, but Adamn was still strong enough to hurt her. Apparently not a feeling she was used to, as she took a second to regain her bearings, before starting to wildly swing her sword around herself, hitting nothing but the fog.. <"Where are you? American monster, stand and fight!"> Unless Adam knew German, he understood little of what she said, but he probably got the gist of it, especially the monster part. The terrible Sea-Wolf howled and charged straight ahead into the fog that surrounded them, thundering straight past Forever Boy and Specimen. Appearances aside, it seemed he had a plan of some sort, and was more than the mindless monster he had appeared to be at first glance. High above, Roter Adler dove towards Legatus, almost falling out of the sky towards the hero, a wide grin on his lips. <"Always wanted to fight the Centurion."> As he passed by Legatus, a powerful shockwave knocked everything around him away, even as it left the teen of adamant. "Scheisse!" Roter Adler shouted, as he continued up into the sky once more.
  22. For the record: With Forever Boy's update, his Obscure now only targets Visual senses, not Auditory senses, so those caught in it can hear. Die Walküre swings wildly around her, let's see if she manages to hit Specimen. She knows you're somewhere nearby, so let's add a -5 to her roll: 6, complete miss Sea-Wolf starts running straight ahead, trying to make it through the fog. 1 in 4 chance of hitting something along the way: 3, nope. At a base speed of 30 feet, he'll move 120 feet, which means he's still within the fog, but only barely. Roter Adler quickly descends towards Legatus and hits him with a shockwave, a cone area attack, then flies back up in the sky. DC is too low to actually hurt Legatus. Visual Obscure on villains in 100 feet radius near the bridge: 20 rounds remaining @TheAbsurdist you're up, then @Avenger Assembled is next. Still in Obscure effect20 - Roter Adler - In the air, striking at Legatus18 - Rebound - 4HP - Unharmed17 - Watchdog - 2HP - Unharmed - 1 assorted explosives used11 - Daystar - Unharmed11 - Madame Blitz - Outside church11 - Enemy Combatants_____ Tanks: 4 smashed, 1 near Specimen and Forever Boy (1 damaged: Bruise (x1), Injury (x1))_____ Soldiers: 9 KO, 4 near Legatus, 10 near Specimen and Forever Boy7 - Donar - Unharmed - Outside church2 - Legatus - 0HP - Unharmed
  23. @Avenger Assembled not quite yet! @Thunder King: +2 since you attack from Total Concealment puts you at 17, and you hit. TOU for Walküre: 30, that's a bruise. Give me an IC for that, and I'll follow up with a GM post. 29 - Forever Boy - 5HP - Unharmed24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed23 - Die Walküre - Bruise (x1) - On frontlines, near Forever Boy and Specimen22 - Sea-Wolf - Unharmed - On frontlines, near Forever Boy and Specimen20 - Roter Adler - In the air, striking at the city18 - Rebound - 4HP - Unharmed17 - Watchdog - 2HP - Unharmed - 1 assorted explosives used11 - Daystar - Unharmed11 - Madame Blitz - Outside church11 - Enemy Combatants_____ Tanks: 4 smashed, 1 near Specimen and Forever Boy (1 damaged: Bruise (x1), Injury (x1))_____ Soldiers: 9 KO, 4 near Legatus, 10 near Specimen and Forever Boy7 - Donar - Unharmed - Outside church2 - Legatus - 0HP - Unharmed
  24. Knockback fixed to be -2 instead of -3.
