  1. GM "Sure, sure. Beats getting shot at, kid." The voice was calm, jovial even. It seemed Chromium would have to try pushing some different buttons, if he wanted to get a rise out of them. The small room, or cage perhaps, shook with Chromium's show of force. Not a lot, not enough to make it topple over or anything like that, but enough to at least be noticable. There was a knock from outside the cage, on the wall right in front of Chromium's face. "Knock it out, kid. You really don't wanna be on the Commander's bad side, so no need to cause a ruckus, hear? Just chill out and breathe, you'll get plenty of chances to work out later."
  2. CHEVAL The wooden building gave away. Of course it did. The entire place was rotten, and someone being made out of iron was not exactly light. Marcus let out a surprised yell as he fell, reaching out to try and grab onto something, but it only caused him to create an even greater hole. Down, through the next floor, through ceiling, plaster, floor, down to the very foundation that cracked under his weight. He rose slowly, his eyes trying to see something in the darkness around him. The floor felt sticky. Did he really want to know what he was standing in right now, or would it be better to not know? His musings were cut short as he noticed the burning pentagram. Rot, decay. The air was thick with it. The entire room was filled, far worse than the rest of the building he had seen so far. And then, that voice. Biting into him. He wouldn't let it shake him. He couldn't let it shake him. "Who are you?" He stood up straight, dusted himself off and looked around. Where was the voice coming from? Who was it? He slowly shifted into a boxing stance, fists held up in front of himself. "What have you done to this place?" Did this demon know him? Maybe, maybe not. If the sticky floor meant what he thought, then at least he had a trick or two up his sleeve.
  3. No damage from the spikes, then!
  4. Forever Boy Explosions from far away. A big bright light show from Judy, probably, out near the bridge he had seen while flying. They could be in danger. They probably weren't, knowing Ashley, but they could be, and Pan didn't like the thought of that at all. Not when he and Benny only had two guys still standing around them. He shot Benny an apologizing glance. "You can handle these two and the people in the school, right? I believe it might be time for some air support!" He could hardly contain his grin. If this was that World War that he had read about, then these people were really bad guys, not just the kind of bad guys that you would stop from robbing a gas station or something like that. No, their leadership had done atrocious things, and to be fair, Pan did like the thought of messing with them. As far as he remembered, their enemies had bombed them in great flying machines... Pan flew high up, into the sky. He was glowing, he was visible, but that was fine. He focused. It had to look right, but he didn't have to worry too much about details. After all, it was high above the ground now, and as he dove towards Ashley and Judy at the front lines, five great dark planes emerged from the clouds above, the kind of planes that one would expect to carry bombs, no less! He grinned at his own idea once more, before catching up with the sisters, quickly flying besides them and winking at Ashley. "Having fun?"
  5. Alright, there's just two soldiers left, so Pan is gonna leave them to Rebound and fly off towards Watchdog and Daystar. On the way, he uses Endless Forms Most Beautiful to create an illusion of planes coming out of the sky all around him, sounds and all, to create a distraction to draw some attention away from Watchdog and Daystar. @Thunder King, you're up, followed by @TheAbsurdist
  6. GM The next tank came to a complete halt after Adam's strike. The turret moved slightly, before it simply gave in, smoke rising from it and the hatch being thrown open. A number of soldiers, all cursing in German, did their best to escape the disabled tank, while the rest of the soldiers around the pair of bruisers did their best to get out of the way as Legatus smashed into the second tank. The entire thing rattled, even if it wasn't outright stopped, and it seemed the crew needed at least some time to get it fully operational again after that blow. "Der Zenturio! Hilfe! Wr brauchen die Übersoldaten!" The soldier with the radio was still screaming into it for help.
  7. TOU save from the tank: 24. Failed by 6, so an Daze, Bruise and Injury, meaning the tank will skip next round. 29 - Forever Boy - 5HP - Unharmed 24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed 18 - Rebound - 4HP - Unharmed 17 - Watchdog - 2HP - Unharmed - 1 assorted explosives used 11 - Daystar - Unharmed 11 - Enemy Combatants _____ Tanks: 2 smashed, 1 operational near Specimen and Legatus (Dazed, Bruise (x1), Injury (x1)), 2 near Watchdog and Daystar _____ Soldiers: 7 KO, 2 standing near Rebound and Forever Boy, 4 near Specimen and Legatus, 10 near Watchdog and Daystar 2 - Legatus - 0HP - Unharmed In next round territory, gonna follow up with Forever Boy after a short GM post.
  8. My bad, I forgot to add that in. DC25 TOU save from the spikes.
  9. Notice: 30 Everyone notices, then. There's time to get inside if you want, with room fo'r maybe 2 people, if squeezed together, if anyone wants to get into the cage. @Grumblefloof, you're up first.
  10. The reroll is a 22, so that's a hit. TOU from the tank, vs DC30: 15 That's another tank down. 29 - Forever Boy - 5HP - Unharmed 24 - Specimen - 2HP - Unharmed 18 - Rebound - 4HP - Unharmed 17 - Watchdog - 2HP - Unharmed - 1 assorted explosives used 11 - Daystar - Unharmed 11 - Enemy Combatants _____ Tanks: 2 smashed, 1 operational near Specimen and Legatus, 2 near Watchdog and Daystar _____ Soldiers: 7 KO, 2 standing near Rebound and Forever Boy, 4 near Specimen and Legatus, 10 near Watchdog and Daystar 2 - Legatus - 1HP - Unharmed
  11. GM The Pirate Captain fell into the water, shaking her head as she tried to breathe water for a moment, before giving up and starting to swim up towards the surface. She didn't even have time to react before Torpedo Lass dove into the water after her. She barely even noticed, didn't even have time to react, only just managed to turn her head, and then Torpedo Lass upon her! The blow hit home, the pirate was once more blown through the water, before falling still and slowly starting to sink. Above, the pirates flocked to the railing of the ship, all looking into the water where Torpedo Lass had disappeared, while the ship overhead slowly began descending towards the area where the pirates had gathered.
  12. Yup, at 1HP. Beating DEF by 7, so +3 to TOU, meaning DC28. TOU save: 25 And the pirate boss goes limp in the water. Potentially in or out of combat after this, all depends on what you do! 20 - Pirate Captain - KO 12 - Torpedo Lass - 1HP - Bruise (x1)
  13. GM The entire thing continued to shake. The ball shook and threatened to break loose, but Archer's riot foam held fast. The Pinball Wizard cackled, his laugh spreading through the entire place. All around them, neon lights were flashing and lighting up. "Aw man, not this again!" The prisoner struggled to remain standing as everything around them shook. In a circle of about 10 feet from the cage, long spikes suddenly started shooting up from the floor, with little choice but to move up or away to get out of their reach.
  14. The ball is starting to wriggle loose, but there's more traps there! Everyone close to the cage, that will be Octoman and Spectre, DC20 Reflex Save to avoid the spikes shooting up from the ground. Spectre has a -2 penalty from having fallen. TOU save vs. a DC20 from the Snare to see if the ball breaks free: 26 Still anchored. If you can beat a Notice DC20 Check, read the spoiler:
  15. @TheAbsurdist: Well, roll for it, unless you wanna wait till the turn comes back around? Two guys left with you.
  16. Archer II Connor moved closer. The guy was clearly freaked out, not that anyone could blame him. He had been holed up in a place like this for days, with whatever the Pinball Wizard had planned for them. How long had he even been in that cage? He barely had any room to move? And then there was Octoman and Spectre. Hardly the most normal looking people out there, but at least the guy seemed to hold up relatively stable. Silly or not, they had to take the Pinball Wizard seriously "Let's hope so." His response to Spectre was cut off by the Pinball Wizard and everything starting to shake. Connor started to move, forced to shift his position, but not quite tumbling, he planted both feet firmly on the ground again. Spectre fell, the guy from the prison fell. The ball started moving, struggling against the riot foam.
  17. CHEVAL The sounds, the cradle, everything happening here. It wasn't entirely unlike the feeling he had outside, the feeling of horror that had happened before. It was gone in moments, like it had never been there, but everything about that cradle and that child had felt real, like it was truly there. Not some vision, like it might have been. He remained in the door, while Persephone tended to the Woodsman. What was it he had said? He had killed someone? In defense of others or not, he had pushed a boundary, but Persephone was handling that better than he could, at least. Still, the sounds remained. Something was moving. It was not like him to stay passive, but for now, he had to wait. He planted his massive frame directly in the doorway, blocking any from entering the room. "Take care of the Woodsman. I will deal with whatever is down here."
  18. GM The creature cursed and shouted, falling as the Meta-Naut's blast hit it. It stood for a moment, staring into nothing, then fell face first on the ground. The last one standing fell to Justice's strike, and for the moment, the two were left alone in the ruins. No wind, no nothing. It didn't seem to exist in Z-Space. Just a swirling vortex of colors above and around them. It didn't seem like any of them were in a condition to talk right now. The big question would be whether they were alone or not.
  19. Justice That actually hurt. Not a whole lot, Robin had taken worse hits than that, but it still hurt. Meta-Naut was shouting something in some weird language, but it didn't really seem to do much, even as the Meta-Naut took down the one that had hit her. One guy remaining then. Alright, she could work with that. "Hey, you!" The last one probably couldn't understand her, but it really didn't matter. She just wanted its attention as she set off her jets, propelling herself up. Letting go of her hammer as she moved, she let it drop into a portal, then reached forward to grab her Power Sword from another portal, quickly landing and swinging it at the last guy. A bit brutal for her, but they had attacked first.
  20. TOU from the one attacked: 19 He's out. Justice jumps at the last one and switches Z-Space Arsenal to the Power Sword, and rockets swinging it at him: 29 A crit, so DC30 TOU save, which he can't possibly make, so the last one is out too. Combat's over.
  21. Forever Boy "Mean? Never. There's no fun in that." The voice came from above, a laugh hidden in its tone. "You looked like you could use some fun, and as always, I aim to deliver!" She would probably notice the golden dust softly falling near her, and if she looked up, she would see Pan flying upside down, his neck turned so he could look straight down at Mia, a wide grin on his lips. Mischief was on his mind, of course. "So, what do you say? Want to find an adventure?"
  22. GM Torpedo Lass' hits came fast and hard. Up close like this, she took out the Captain's advantage of the ship's backup, that much was true. The Captain might have avoided one blow, or two even, but they just kept raining down on her, with enough force and power to finally send her flying out over the ship, tumbling towards the water below. Indistinct shouting rose from the deck of the flying ship, the cannons fired again, hitting straight on the target this time!
  23. First is a miss, with +4 to DC. Second is a miss. DC29 TOU save: 16 To avoid this becoming too much of an anti-climax, the Pirate Captain shrugs off her Dazed condition, giving you a HP, leaving her with 1 bruise and being staggered. Knockback kicks in here, with +14 damage -6 knockback resistance meaning she gets knocked back 250 feet, flying straight into the water. The ship fires on Torpedo Lass: 22 DC28 TOU save. 20 - Pirate Captain - Bruise (x1), Staggered 12 - Torpedo Lass - 2HP - Unharmed
  24. GM Chromium tried to shift his shape. He tried to change, to slip from his bonds. Slowly, he started to lose cohesion, becoming fluid, as he had done so many times before. Then he was violently pulled back into his normal form by a magnetic pulse, smashing him hard against the wall behind him. Enough to hurt, at least a little bit. "Ha!" A male voice from outside the box, not one he had heard before. "Show us another trick!"
  25. The Metal, magnets, electricity etc complication kicks in due to the magnets all around you, keeping you in solid form. +1HP, though.
