  1. CHEVAL He was right, then. Marcus let himself crack a smile. Clever, he was not, but even he could connect the dots, if he got enough of them. He had to admit, he hadn't been quite convinced if Persephone had just been flirting, or if there was more to it. His brother had often told him that he was oblivious to anyone showing any interest in him, and to be honest, James was probably right. Figured he would miss someone like Persephone showing interest. It all depends on you. If you're trying to keep your lives apart, then maybe being seen with me in public won't be the best? He sighed, then went to look up what this Mignon thing was. It was a the Symphony Hall, so he kind of doubted it had much to do with meat.
  2. Marcus gave Niro an appreciating nod at the comment. Yeah, he would have been, if fate hadn't had other plans. It would have been worth it, it would have been everything he had fought for, but no. What he did now was more important, but he would freely admit that he did miss his time in the ring. Well, Persephone was as eager as ever, explaining things far better than he could. The frictions, the issues... everything. She kept talking, which he had honestly come to expect of her by this point, and Marcus simply stood back and let her work her magic. He listened, of course, but found little to add, not until she paused, at least. "But if that is the case, you can always reach out to us. If you can't find what you need, then we might be able to." He had crossed his arms without thinking, he couldn't help it. "We will, of course, be willing to help." Make friends, not foes, right?
  3. @Darksider42: Can I get an IC post? You might have instant up, but you're still falling this round, and stuff can happen when the GM post rolls around.
  4. GM Explosions, chaos. Super powered Americans plowing through their ranks, confusion starting to spread through their ranks. The two soldiers still standing near Forever Boy and Rebound continued to hold their rifles high, continued to fire, with little luck in hitting the pair of agile heroes. "Über-soldaten! Wir kämpfen gegen Ûber-soldaten! Der Zenturio! Ruf den Kommandanten an! " one of the Nazi soldiers screamed into his radio as he watched the nearby tanks plow through the street. The first shot smashed into the street far from Specimen, while the second one managed to hit Legatus straight in the chest. Time would tell if he could take a shot like that or not. After the first grenade, the soldiers directly around Watchdog and Daystar quickly started to scatter, not wanting to be caught in another blast. The two nearby tanks had men at the machine gun turrets. The bullets rained down over the motorcycle as they attempted to bring it down and decrease their mobility, but it held on.
  5. There's currently 2 soldiers near Forever Boy and Rebound, and civilians trapped in the nearby school. There's 2 tanks and an unknown number of soldiers near Specimen and Legatus. Watchdog and Daystar have moved to the enemy front lines, where they have taken out 5 nazis with Watchdog's grenade, and are attracting all the wrong kinds of attention. There's about 10 soldiers and 2 tanks nearby, with others com The soldiers near Forever Boy and Rebound shoots at each of them, in that order: 6 14 Both miss The soldiers near Specimen and Legatus hold their fire, though one starts shouting in German in his radio. The tanks shoot at Specimen and Legatus, in that order: 11 15 Hitting Legatus. @secondling: Give me a DC25 TOU save. Finally, Watchdog and Daystar: The soldiers do their best to get out of the way and scatter to avoid more grenades and weird blasts, while the two tanks fire at the motorcycle with their heavy machine guns: 24 21 @Avenger Assembled: Alright, both hits, and since they get autofire, the first one has +2DC, so can I get a DC23 and DC21 TOU save for the bike? 29 - Forever Boy - 5HP - Unharmed 24 - Specimen - 3HP - Unharmed 18 - Rebound - 4HP - Unharmed 17 - Watchdog - 2HP - Unharmed - 1 assorted explosives used 11 - Daystar - Unharmed 11 - Enemy Combatants _____ Tanks: 1 smashed, 2 operational near Specimen and Legatus, 2 near Watchdog and Daystar _____ Soldiers: 7 KO, 2 standing near Rebound and Forever Boy, 4 near Specimen and Legatus, 10 near Watchdog and Daystar 2 - Legatus - 1HP - Unharmed Letters go weird, not sure why, but eh. Still somewhat visible? Will try to fix for the next one. @secondling: You're up for the next action, and 27 hour rule is back in full effect.

  7. GM "Wait, what?" Sunburn might not have paid attention before, but now that Kanunu started talking like that? She didn't even have the chance to avoid the water before it hit her straight on, putting out the flames that let her fly. Bubbling and cursing, she fell to the ground, quickly rolled around and got to her feet. She was drenched, but fire still burned in her hands. "You're dead! All of you!"
  8. My bad, I completely missed that! Let's do a proper power roll with Flight rank vs. that to see if it countered: 9 And down she goes... She's about 30 feet above ground atm, so that's fall damage vs DC18: 22 She made it.
  9. At first glance, it can seem like a lot of powers, yeah, but that all depends on how it gets built. Also remember that you can stunt the Alternate Power feat, meaning that, as long as it makes sense, you can suddenly use an ability you might not even have on your sheet. It will really be best if you try to build the things, fill it into a character sheet, try and build the powers, and then present that, but I'll try and give you some starting points here: Electricity powers: A lot, if not all, of these could probably be put into an array of alternate powers, but you might not even need to have all of them. Some could just be stunts, like I mentioned above. - Absorbing electricity: You should try and stay clear of Boost. It's not a good power, since you can't go above PL limits, which means that for it to be usable, the effects you try to boost need to be below PL when you aren't being boosted. If there's some powers that you want to only be usable when you drain electricity for a boost, like draining electricity to heal yourself, you could give it the Source [Electricity] flaw, or you could use a Drain power, with Electricity being the thing you drain. - Electrically charged melee: For this, you just need a Damage effect with the Electricity descriptor. Maybe give it the Mighty feat, to add your strength bonus to the damage. - Shock people that touch him/reactive defense: This will get very expensive. It would be a Damage effect with the Aura extra, which requires you to buy the power's duration up to Sustained with the Duration extra, which would be Duration 2 for a damage effect, on top of the Aura, would mean a cost of 4PP/rank - Ranged Zaps + Exploding ball lighting: The blast power with the Electricity descriptor, and the Area extra for the exploding ball of lightning - flash bang grenade: The Dazzle power, maybe with the Area extra to affect multiple people. - Stun attacks (ranged targeted? Area?): The Stun power handles that, with appropriate extras. Armor Suit abilities - Enhanced strength, speed, etc More of a dex build: Just Enhanced Ability for the stats you want, the Speed power for movement, etc. - So many Sensors: Look at the Super-Senses power, especially our house rules here: https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/house-rules/powers-r8/ - Detect electronic devices and/or detect EMF (devices, power lines, etc): Also handles with Super-Senses. - Internet access for Jack of All Trades: Grumble gave you some great suggestions here on discord earlier, so I'll take the liberty of copy pasting what he said: But if you're thinking "Internet connection", then I'm guessing what you're thinking is "able to look stuff up", right? That could be, including but not limited to, Enhanced Feats (Beginners Luck, Jack of All Trades), a Library like an HQ could have but as a Feature, Enhanced Skills (Knowledges), and probably other options I can't think of at the moment. Or even just Features 1 (Built-in smartphone). - Speed of thought computer use (quickness technology?): I'm not sure if Quickness would be allowed to be limited to just one skill or not, but its an interesting idea. Again, try to build it! The legs - 4 robot spider legs coming from back: Additional Limbs power. - Used in conjunction with parkour for movement (wall climbing, speed, etc): The Super-Movement power, Speed, whatever other powers you want. - Act as antenna for sensors + Medium for Datalink?: That would probably be more descriptor based, with the powers for your sensors being described as being placed in the legs. Maybe a drawback that it can't be used if the legs are disabled. - Used for melee combat, can be electrified, used to grapple: Aside from the electrification, that's handled by additional limbs. Electrification part is just a Damage effect, as I mentioned above. - Elongation 2, maybe 3?: Just Elongation limited to the legs. - Can be used to drain electricity from the environment (stabbing into power lines to draw power, or to intercept electrical attacks intended for other people): Again, just the descriptor for a drain, maybe a drawback that it can't be used if the legs are disabled. - Used to shoot out Ranged electric attacks: Again, just the descriptor for your damage/blast effects. Other Random Ideas - Can power small electric objects (radios, cellphones, jumpstart a car) Probably a feature: Feature, yep. - Can arc weld metals using two legs at once: Probably work as a Feature, too, but how often do you think it would be used? Probably better as a stunt. - EMP: Could probably work with a Drain Electricity or Nullify Electricity effect. - The ability to turn invisible to machines/cameras: Concealment with the Limited [Only invisible to machines/cameras] flaw. - Able to see through nearby cameras. Post-Cognition to review old footage?: Can be handled with the ESP power, with the Medium of Cameras, at least watching current stuff. Post-Cognition super-sense for old stuff, or datalink to hack into old databases.
  10. CHEVAL Vampires. Then he was right about that. Despite the situation, he couldn't help sending a knowing smirk at Persephone, though he quickly taught himself and stopped. The situation was too dire to feel happy about a little victory like that. He was about to say something about the Woodsman's methods when the other man paused and listened. Marcus followed suit. It was silent, yes. But there was something in the silence. Something too close for comfort. Another beast? Another creature like the one that laid before them? Or something else? Some other terrible monster that lived in this house? "I hear it." Marcus was short and to the point, his words directed at the Woodsman as he looked around. He was iron. He was fire. He was justice. He would not be rattled by strange noises. These things didn't like fire, it seemed. That was something he could work with.
  11. Sunburn's caught off guard, so that's flat footed and a hit! Resist with Acrobatics: 23 Trip resisted! @Exaccus, you're up after Durf's IC!
  12. @Shofet, you're up
  13. Alright, let's see how many get caught in the blast radius, rolling between 4 and 7, since its kinda vague how many there is: 5 5x Reflex saves: 7 22 21 21 15 That's 3 saves vs. DC20, 2 vs. DC25 DC20 saves: 19 8 8 DC25 saves: 22 18 Watchdog takes out 5 nazis, creating some major disruption! There's no fortifications, so that'll be attacking a tank for Daystar, so that's a miss! Gimme an IC, and I'll follow up with GM post soon.
  14. Forever Boy Pan opened his mouth to speak, but found he made no sound. This was less than ideal. No room to talk, no way to communicate except for signs between each other. They were still visible, however. He could help with that. He waved his hand a bit, Pixie Dust sparkling around, then, an one way image appearing in the room. The side towards them had the words "ONE WAY WALL" written on it. Aside from the letters, they could see through it, whoever was back there could not see them. He gently placed his bags on the floor, couldn't risk hurting the gifts for his friends, after all, then motioned towards the image with his head. He slowly crept forward. Not making any noise was a nice trick, one that he had used many times before, so it was kind of amusing to see someone else using that same trick. He couldn't suppress a smile, despite the noise, as he moved behind the counter and peeked inside through his image.
  15. Pan uses his Endless Forms Illusion to make an image at the backroom, so it seems like the room they're in is empty. @Thunder King, @Thevshi anything to add before a GM post?
  16. You should be able to use your Selective Illusion for that, yeah, so no reason for a stunt.
  17. Sorry for the delay! @Ari That's a hit, opposed Grapple: 25 You got him, give me an IC.
  18. Archer II That took care of most of them. All but one, the man with the weird blaster. Great, things couldn't be easy, could they? Connor reached for another couple of arrows, leaned over the building and... what the hell was that guy up to? Clicking away on the gun, then throwing it on the ground, and then it made a force field of some kind? Since when did the C's have tech like that? The man ducked away into an alley, but c'mon, there had to be more to it than that. What else did he have? Wait, then. Arrows ready to fly, see if he popped up, or if he just ran.
  19. Archer stays on the lookout and readies an action to fire a couple of Stun Arrows with the Rapid Fire Arrows Add-On if the gangster shows up. Readied attack roll: 21
  20. The pressure was extreme. It was exhausting, just staying upright in the seat as they rocketed through the atmosphere. The others might be handling it better, or they might not, but Connor stayed silent in his seat, just staring ahead. They had powers. They could handle it, right? He had been flying around in state of the art machines before, but not like this, nothing where he had actually left the planet. No pressure quite like this. It felt like forever. When they finally hit space and the artificial gravity kicked in, Connor let out a deep breath. He felt weird, nauseous, but he didn't really care. They were in space. This was incredible. Just incredible. He stayed strapped in for now, staying silent, just watching out, only barely noticing that Corona was going through paper bags.
  21. Forever Boy Make A Wish "Open your eyes. Trust me, it will be fine." Pan's tone was reassuring, but the young girl by his side resisted. She shook her head violently, refusing to open her eyes. Pan frowned. It should be fine, after all. She should be fine. Sure, she did not have the easiest of lives. She had been through much trouble already, she had to keep so much in, and yet, she did so well. She thought so little of herself, but really, all she had to do for this to work was simple. "Come now, just think happy thoughts, and everything will be fine. Think about your friends, think about fun. Think about Christmas, think about your dreams, think about playing. Think about your birthday, and fluffy puppies and kittens!" It had to work. She needed this. Needed some happiness, and Pan was sure that he could deliver. They had reached out to him a while back, almost a year ago now. Well, Ms. Lupine had been the one to make the call, routed through Nicholson to Claremont. The little girl with the weight on her shoulders, the one that trapped others in her nightmares, without even meaning to. Little Victoria, who loved the stories of princesses so, who loved the story of Peter Pan, and just wanted to get to know him. Of course, Pan had agreed with little thought, and since then, he had often spent time at Nicholson, trying to help, as best he could. And now, here they were, Victoria holding on tightly to his face, her eyes closed as they hovered just above the ground, sparkling Pixie Dust falling from them and joining the snow beneath their feet. "I will be right here, Victoria. Do not worry. I will let go, but I will be right here. Think happy thoughts, and you will fly! Just trust me!" "But it's scary!" Victoria protested. This was her wish, what she had said she really wanted, and yet now, she protested. She fought back against him. This was hardly as Pan had imagined it would go. Share some Pixie Dust, have some happy thoughts, go flying around a bit in the Nicholson gym. Of course, that entire plan had depended on Victoria actually opening her eyes and trying to fly on her own. Not this. Not being scared of something she actually wanted to do. Ms. Lupine was sitting on a chair a bit away, watching them with the eyes of a hawk. Or, perhaps the eyes of a wolf? It was not like the Nicholson School could allow him to be all alone with Victoria, after all. "Then, what do you propose? That we stop, before we begin? That you give up?" He felt Victoria's hand tighten its grip on his own. "Nuh-uh! I wanna do it... but its scary!" Fear was something strange, something unknown. Not something that Pan knew much about. Not something he had expected to meet here, but of course, Victoria had much to fear, herself most of all. She had made such progress in the year he had known her, and yet, she still held on to old regrets and fears, but what could he expect from one as young as her? So, what could he do? Give up, stop before they began, as he put it? She would be disappointed, would probably pout, but on the other hand, he would have done as she wanted. He had met this resistance in Victoria before. This fear of change, of something new, even if it was something that she had wanted to do. Giving in would be the wrong choice, he thought. Challenging her fear would have to be the only course of action. "Tell me, then, why are you afraid? All you need to do is open your eyes." His tone was calm, slow, understanding. It ate him up inside to take things this slow, he wanted to go flying, he wanted to fulfill Victoria's wish, but taking things too fast? Now, that would never help with her. From her seat, Ms. Lupine followed the events closely. Her face showed little of what she thought. Victoria hesitated for a moment. Her eyes were still tightly shut. "... That I'll stop thinking happy thoughts..." she finally admitted. "I don't wanna think about the nightmares, I don't wanna think about the bad stuff, but I'm afraid I'm gonna anyway..." Could she be blamed for such thoughts? No, of course not. Victoria's position was unique. To most children, their dreams were just that: Dreams. To Victoria, her nightmares could come real, drawing in everyone around her. Of course she was afraid that a bad memory of a nightmare would come back to haunt her. Pan nodded in response, even if he was aware that Victoria could not see it. He squeezed her hand tightly. "Listen to me, Victoria. You have been through such hardships, you have seen such horror, from your dreams and others, and yet, here you stand. You are already flying." Slowly, he started easing his squeeze. Ever so slowly, bit by bit, not all at once. "But, bad things happen to us all. You might think that you are not allowed to be happy, but that would be wrong. So tell me, what makes you happy? Tell me, what makes you smile?" What are your happy thoughts, he almost said, but caught himself. No, that would be too obvious, would it not? Again, Victoria hesitated. Pan was almost ready to stop, call it all off, when she finally responded. "My mom and dad... They make me happy, when they come see me." Pan smiled. Slowly, he inched his hand closer to freedom, while Victoria continued. "Miss Lupine's great. And Mr. Bear, my teddy... and my best friend Tracy, and my other friends, and school, and fairy tales, and reading..." She was going now. Faster, and faster. Letting it all loose. Pan managed to let go. He held his hand up, Victoria had no even noticed, as she just continued talking, listing all that made her happy. "... and ice cream, just not pistachio, and Disney movies, and... and..." She paused for a moment again, sounding almost embarrassed. "And spending time with you, when you come visit, Mr. Pan." Pan's smile grew even wider. He couldn't help it. He loved spending time with Victoria, and he knew she loved it too, but it was still so nice to hear. "Open your eyes, Victoria. You are thinking so many happy thoughts, and I do believe it is time for you to fly." She finally did as he asked. Slowly, Victoria opened her eyes, and looked down, then to the right, to see Pan waving at him. She tried moving a bit, floating up, to the side, a bit down, back and forth. Gaining confidence, beginning to move, while Pan stayed close. "Now, this will not last forever, my dear Victoria, so I have one proposal, before the Pixie Dust fades!" He was standing in mid-air before her, looking serious. Victoria nodded, she seemed a bit unsure. Pan's lips split into a grin, as he took off. "Catch me if you can!" For as long as the Pixie Dust lasted, for as long as she could, Victoria and Pan chased each other around the gym, flying high, flying low, with laughter filling the room.
  22. GM Darkness. Numbness. A feeling of being moved. Everything a haze. Then, light. When Chromium opened his eyes, he found himself sitting against a wall. His arms were up against the wall behind him, hell in heavy restraints. His feet were secured to his seat, a solid metal slab. There was a hum all around him, in a small box with maybe half a meter of free space on each side of him, aside from the wall behind him where he was secured. The humming was strange. It was like he was held in place, like some sort of force was holding him in place. He could hear voices around him, but the loud hum made it difficult to make out what they were saying.
  23. And that's a KO, yet. We're out of combat, let's see what happens.
  24. GM The creature was completely surprised when the Meta-Naut shouted back at it in its own language. It didn't even hvae time to respond before it was hit straight in the groin, bending over and just rolling over to the side. Well, it was out of it. Painfully so. The creature that Justice had struck soon came flying through the ruins, crashing into a wall close to the one that was still standing and attacking the Meta-Naut. It seemed unfazed by its companions being taken out, pulling back the string of its bow to shoot an arrow at Meta-Naut. The shot went wide, but its friend, after snickering at Justice's choice of weapon, was more lucky, the arrow hitting Justice's legs with enough force to affect her even through the armor.
