  1. You're already stealthed, but moving around on the floor would provoke another stealth check. So, you'll need to do an attack roll to and a grapple check, which he'll then oppose. Since he's unaware of your attack atm, he'll be using his flatfooted defense.
  2. Sounds good to me.
  3. Opposed stealth to notice: 21 Still stealthy! Gorgon actions coming later
  4. GM <"Yes. Hubris. I know it well."> As the Gorgon moved into the mists, just out of reach of Moira's strike. Moira could almost swear that she saw a fanged smile playing over her lips, before the creature disappeared completely. Not even her shadow seemed visible, and the slithering sound of her movements seemed to all but disappear in the thick mists. And yet, Moira could hear laughter. It seemed to come from all around her. <"Perhaps you should be the one to worry about hubris, Godling.">
  5. Save vs. Taunt: 22 Not demoralized! Miss, due to mist miss! The Gorgon disappears into the mists, slithering out of view! Stealth: 20 Gotta beat that with Notice or Search to find her! 20 - Scion - 2HP - No damage 19 - Gorgon - No damage, Stealth Mist - Partial concealment: Defender rolls: attacks miss on 17+, including the Gorgon's petrification stare
  6. GM The Gorgon shrieked as Moira charged through the mists and slammed into it, but it still held onto its bow, even as it slithered out of Moira's attempts to grab at it. Now that she was close, Moira could see the Gorgon clearly: The lower body of a snake, with dark grey scales. The uper body of a woman, dark green with not a hint of clothes or a want to wear them. A bow held in its hand, snakes slithered around the head in place of hair, and then, as the Gorgon glared at her, she saw its face: A beautiful, dark green woman with shining yellow eyes. And yet, the stare. The petrifying gaze. Could she escape in time?
  7. Normally a hit, let's see if its a miss due to the mists: 14 You hit! TOU save vs. DC21, per chat: 27 Damn, acing that. Now, opposed grapple: 24 Gorgon wins the grapple! Then, in response, it glares at Moira. First of all, at 17+, the mists blocks the gaze: 11 NOPE! In that case: First make a Reflex Save vs. DC18. If that succeeds, you escape the effect. If you fail, do a DC18 Fortitude save to avoid being turned to stone! 20 - Scion - 2HP - No damage 19 - Gorgon - No damage Mist - Partial concealment: Attacks miss on 17+, including the Gorgon's petrification stare
  8. GM There was a short pause. Moira could hear slithering sounds from the mists, she could see the shadow move. But of course, the question was, how long would she be able to watch? "<Fine.>" The voice was still as hard as before. Almost like the Gorgon had gravel in its mouth as it spoke. "<Unless your pets interfere, I will not harm them until you are as still as stone."> There came a THWACK! sound from the mists, and, as if to punctuate the response, an arrow hit the ground not far from Moira.
  9. Bluff resist: 18 The gorgon accepts, but... then attacks, firing an arrow at you: 13 That's a miss! You're up!
  10. GM Sliding under the cracks of the door, Chromium found himself between the legs of a large man dressed in a dark grey military-styled attire, an assault rifle in his hands. He was shaved bald, and seemed rather gruff and focused. The man didn't seem to notice the puddle moving between his legs. At least not yet. The room itself was long and brightly lit, a pathway leading to the anchor room, which they obviously determined should be guarded. With the puddle moving across the roof, the man at least didn't seem to notice, but as Chromium reached the end of the hallway and the open door, he would have to come into the man's field of vision if he wanted to move on, unless he decided on trying something else, of course.
  11. GM "I kne-!" Joey's shout at Moira saying she was a hero was cut short when the woman turned to stone before them. "Damn!" Everyone fell in line immediately, closing their eyes, covering them with their hands, arms, cloth, whatever. Either they had figured out the same thing as Moira, or they just knew better than to question her already. A voice called out from the mists, a hard, jagged voice, replying in Greek. "<There are no innocents, Godling. Do you offer yourself in their place?" Moira could hear the slithering sound from up ahead, even if the Gorgon moved through the mists. She could see a shade. It was not too far away, judging by what she could see... but did she actually want to see the Gorgon, and face what its gaze could do?
  12. Gorgon initiative: 19 The 6 people (1 turned to stone) will act as necessary 20 - Scion - 2HP - No damage 19 - Gorgon - No damage
  13. GM "Yeah, where is home?" Joey quipped back, before he heard the sound, and headed back to Moira and the others. For his part, Charlie shook his head. "Man, this is just... its too weird. You deal with this kinda thing all the time?" A woman in the early twenties went away from the group, despite Moira's warnings, leaning closer to the statue. "This shouldn't be possible." Her tone and voice was rather flat, as she studied the statue. "Look, even the clothes have wrinkles in them, and it looks like jeans and a t-shirt, and..." The slithering sound again. And in a moment, the woman stepped back and gasped, the froze, her entire body turning to stone.
  14. Alright, Rebellion, Mighty Meta-Naut and Mag-Mite it is. Reb will be a bit above the others, but that's easily handled. Thread (hopefully) coming early next week.
  15. Hate when that happens. Looking forward to the threads continuing
  16. Aura of Terror all over the goons. DC20 Will save vs fear!
  17. REBELLION Dave looked over at Raya, raising his right eyebrow slightly. "Can you handle the girl? I'm gonna try to stop the goons before they start shooting." he asked. Captain Crime didn't seem like a threat right now. The big guy was gonna be out for a moment, at least. Right now, that left Ms. Demeanor and the goons. Guns were never a good thing. Turning away from the Meta-Naut, Dave started walking towards the goons with the guns. He slowly moved his arms out to the side, his batons falling out of his sleeves and into them. As he walked, he slowly changed, his disguise fading away. The business suit became blue pants, jacket and hat. The smiling face of Dave turned into black with bright white eyes. They almost seemed to glow, at least compared to the black that surrounded them, as he stared straight at the goons with the guns. "You should run." Then, he let the fear wash over them.
  18. Cheval would agree to the offer, after having his agent read through the fine print. Sounds like a good idea to get some plans down first. Cheval would personally like to at least set up some emergency plan to call for backup in case anyone needs help with something too big to handle on their own, potentially discussion of setting up a more formal meeting space, whether its actual headquarters or not.
  19. Archer II: 3 posts + 7 GM posts = 10 posts = 2PP Kingmaker: Queen's Defence (3) Cheval: 8 posts + 17 GM posts = 25 posts = 3PP + 11PP [Extracurriculars] = 14PP Dragon's Harvest (4) Vibora Bay - Rough Draft (4) Extracurriculars: 20 Questions (+1PP) Eros Unlimited Profile (+1PP) HellQ (+2PP) Guidebook Page (+2PP) Origin Vignette: Deals at the Crossroads (>1000 words, +2PP) Reputation table (+1PP) September-October Vignette: I am Iron (>1000 words, +2PP) Forever Boy: 6 posts + 44 GM posts = 50 posts = 4PP Feelings and Other Sensitive Subjects (1) It's Mov(in)g Day! In case I've done any miscounts that's too big for the 2 extra posts to fix, please bump Forever Boy down to getting only 19 GM posts so he has a total of 25 posts and gains 3PP, and spend the remaining GM posts on Archer to (hopefully) put him up at 25 posts and 3PP.
  20. Cheval is in, of course! He's more than willing to pay for any food, drinks or venue, if that's needed.
  21. Pan watched as Claude explained and worked his magic, his right arm resting in his left hand by the elbow, his right hand in front of his mouth half-concealed a wide grin. He loved magic tricks, even if he had never heard about Robert Heinlein or any of the others that were rapidly mentioned. A renaissance man, then? A super learner? Interesting. And Ben's powers, they sounded outright strange, but so fascinating. And the way he spoke of them, he was clearly not born with those abilities, or those arms. Interesting. Observing them for a moment still, he clasped his hands in front of himself. "Alternate Earth prince, as one would have it. Not quite alien, but I have found that being alien or not can be quite relative here at Claremont. I believe that he is from a place that he calls Earth-2, as is his dragon companion, Dio." As the others, he made sure to speak in Ben's direction. "We were on the same squad last year. He was interesting to fight alongside." He paused, then his smile brightened, as if he remembered something good. "How much have you been told about Claremont, and what might happen? It is, after all, not quite a normal school, and things are rarely quiet around here."
  22. GM With a wild yell, Bear-Knuckle leapt at Facsimile again, but whether through still or just dumb luck, his blow failed to land, as the massive man sailed through the air before landing outside the arena. Cursing and yelling almost incoherently, Bear-Knuckle scrambled to his feet and turned to face Facsimile once more. "SOMEONE GET THE PUNK DOWN!" He obviously wasn't a fan of Facsimile flying. TKO was still nowhere to be seen. Had he stayed, or had he run? At any rate, Heavyweight still stayed outside the ring, just looking up at their enemy. His breathing was heavy, and he obviously still hadn't recovered from the previous action. And then, came the Fly-Boy. Buzzing and flying all around Facsimile, he seemed to be fully back in action. With a loud retching sound, he pulled back, before spitting a burning green liquid from his mouth all over Facsimile.
  23. A daze and a bruise, then. Bear-Knuckle with the big hit. TKO still does nothing Bear-Knuckle leaps at you and swings his claws again! 13! A miss! Heavyweight remains by the ringside. And Fly-Boy is back in action! He attacks by spitting at you! 24! A hit! That's a TOU Drain effect, so do a Fortitude Save vs. DC18! And then, you're up! 26 - Fly-Boy - Bruise (x1) 20 - Facsimile - 2HP - Bruise (x2) 20 - TKO - Unharmed 14 - Bear-Knuckle - Unharmed 6 - Heavyweight - Bruise (x1), Staggered
  24. GM "Dunno, its got a kind of eerie charm, doesn't it?" Val had, like the others, removed her arm and was admiring the scenery. "But all that mist is weird. Like, we're already in a maze y'know? Why make it even harder to see us?" While most of the group stayed back, Joey had taken it upon himself to move into the mist, towards one of the statues. It seemed to be in pretty decent shape, all things considered. No arms or anything missing, it seemed almost life-like. "Man, look at this chick! How'd anyone make something this beautiful outta stone?" Something drew Moira's attention. She could swear she saw a shadow moving through the mists to the right, but it was gone the moment after. A slithering sound, then it disappeared. It seemed they were not alone.
