  1. Let's see if we can make more baddies run away instead of causing trouble. Will Save DC20 for all the criminals that Rebellion can perceive or be very very scared.
  2. REBELLION "A distraction. Or maybe he's just crazy." He had already started walking when the Meta-Naut asked him if they should head inside. There was no reason to linger here, except to take out everyone here. Sure, that could work. Quiet some of the sure to be upcoming chaos, but that would just give Captain Crime more time for whatever he was planning. He eyed the ones around them as they walked. A wide, bright smile appeared on his dark face. Well, he could try to do something about them, after all. He spoke up, addressed to all of the converted villains around them. "You should run." He let the primal fear in him loose. Anyone not made a criminal would be spared. Anyone else in his range? Not so much.
  3. Archer readies an action to fire a Thermite Arrow at the entrance the moment Roadkill or Rayburst pops up.
  4. Archer Connor still held his bow, with the string pulled tight. Kombat's dig at the old man and the use of bows? Not appreciated, but nothing worth getting worked up over, either. Still, he couldn't resist a short, but cold reply "Sure, if you're not good enough to do things the hard way." Adrian was probably lucky that he'd never met the old man in his prime. The first Archer would've wiped the floor with him, as far as Connor was concerned. Honestly, he wasn't quite sure what that Compound P thing was, except that it could take out Heather, fatally. Whatever she had done, had Kombat even thought of a non-lethal way? Of course, Connor shouldn't be one to judge here, either. He hadn't met Heather, only had Corona's word for who she used to be. He froze as the phone rang, and a woman's voice came through. He should've stayed outside. Should've kept watch. Now someone had them cornered in here. His arrow still aimed at Kombat, he took a few steps to the side, moving further away from the door. "Shut that thing off." They couldn't make any plans of action as long as the people outside were listening in. Kombat had to know that, too. He really hoped so, at least. "How reinforced is this place? Is there any other way down here?" Kombat was prepared for everything, right? He'd have to have another way out. He had an idea to buy them some time, but it wouldn't be any help if it trapped them. Roadkill and Rayburst. A speedster and a blaster, judging from the names, and they had the group cornered. He quickly switched to another arrow, holding it tight, aimed at the entrance.

  6. GM "Gah!" Metamind obviously wasn't a fan of actually getting into combat like this, when the Shrike's grenade exploded. He took a step away and shielded his eyes, but otherwise, he was unharmed. Still, his concetration slipped. Or maybe he just didn't care about the civilians nearby, now that the Emerald Spider had caught most of them in her net. "You'll pay for that!" If anything, Metamind had the super villain clichés down pat. While the people he had previously controlled to attack the Emerald Spider started complaining about being stuck in webbing, he placed his left hand's index finger on his temple, while pointing with his open right hand at the Shrike. A swirling light blue beam shot from his hand, but missed her and went wide into the sky.

  8. GM Despite the woman being asked, the sneer she was putting on was almost visible anyway. She moved into a standing position, crossing her arms across her chest. There was light shining behind her, casting her in a somewhat divine looking appearance. "You protect these scum?" She either hadn't heard, or didn't care about Agnes' question. She motioned with her head towards an homeless man that was looking through a garbage bin for something. "I really should have known. You have that smell on you." Her tone was as arrogant as her posture, but she kept her distance. "They are scum. Barely above animals. Why would you waste your God given talents on protecting someone like that? They are to be kept away from the proper citizens of this fine city! Just think about how Southside would flourish, if they were to simply... disappear!" She was starting to get worked up as she preached to Agnes, her voice raising, growing passionate and angry.

  10. Pan was already gone by the time they reached the Horizon, leaving little but a cloud of Pixie Dust behind as he flew to the top of the sail, then down around the boat, and coming up from under the middle of the catamaran, a wide grin on his lips as he came to hover by the rest of the group, quickly waving at Prudence and Dr. Durant. "This ship is amazing!" He could hardly contain his excitement. "How fast can it go?" He flew past Dr. Durant and Prudence, holding a hand up to shield his eyes from the sun. "I wonder if it could go between Trader's Haven and the Wish Isle in a week..." He was lost in his musings for the moment.
  11. Updated map:
  12. GM The path led on. The light was blinding, coming from further North of the path. The others made various approving sounds and and shouts, with Val, Joey and Charlie taking the lead after Moira. The rest of group followed behind, leaving just the other two people that had disappeared from the statue room before Moira reached it. As they continued, two paths appeared on the left, both leading to the West, while the path also continued onward, towards the intense light source coming from the North. Both the paths to the West didn't have the bright light, but otherwise seemed to be as abundant with flowers as the path they had first taken.
  13. GM Heavyweight frowned, but that about it from reaction, then he started running. It wasn't entirely fast, but he got up close, at least. He took a rather lazy swing at Facsimile, not even getting close to catching him, but to be honest, he didn't seem to care much, either. Or maybe it was just his regular expression. It was kind of hard to tell, with how he was affected. "C'mon, you can do better than that!" Bear-Knuckle was clearly not amused.
  14. Heavyweight charges! 15 A miss, but he's up close now! 26 - Flyboy - Unharmed 20 - Facsimile - 3HP - Unharmed 20 - TKO - Unharmed 14 - Bear-Knuckle - Unharmed 6 - Heavyweight - Unharmed, -2Def (One round)
  15. GM The quantum filament was quite effective, it seemed. With everyone gathered as close as they were, the Emerald Spider managed to catch almost everyone, with just a few stragglers at the edge of filament making it out. Sunburn flew above, flying even higher, making her best attempt at getting out of range from any of the heroes on the ground. She laughed loudly at the sight of the people caught in the Emerald Spider's web. "Oh, come on, that's just nasty, Spider-Chick! Those people are gonna clean webs outta their hair for weeks now!" Flames gathering in her hand, she threw a fireball towards Shrike. The ball went far, barely even getting close, drawing a curse from the burning woman. "Comin' thru!" The Dinostroyer charged forward, trampling through anything in his path as he went straight for Kanunu. Head lowered, he tried to skewer him with the horns on his costume if possible, or at least push him far back with force of his charge.
  16. GM Joey whistled, looking down the path. "Yeah. That do seem much nicer." He was about to start walking when Val placed a hand on his shoulder, pulling him back. "You sure about this, Morley?" she asked, looking over. "I mean, maybe its just making the bad path look nice, right?" "Or maybe they're equally bad." Charlie piped up from the middle of the group, quickly joined by various murmurs from the other people in the group, advocating either going one way or another.

  18. GM "Man, I don't care what Moira says, that %&#$ she's pulling is not just some self-defense." Val had crossed her arms as Moira got to work on breaking down the other secret door down. Joey, the woman having disentangled herself from him and moved a bit away, just shrugged. "Hey, at least she's smashing the walls, right?" After a few thundering strikes, the secret door North of the Zeus statue gave in and crumbled. And where the path North of Hades where filled with dead leaves, the path North of Zeus were practically brimming with life and light. Flowers growing on the walls and grass on the floor, and light so bright that it blinded you coming from the end of the path. It was impossible to see further than about 50 feet down the hallway, but all in all, it appeared rather idyllic and peaceful.
  19. Aside from dead things being associated with Hades, this doesn't seem to correspond to any descriptions of the gates of Hades.
  20. GM "I dunno about that. I mean, you found me and the others, right?" Charlie shot back, as he stood up and looked over the secret door or whatever it was, placing his hands at his hips. "Man, that weird Chara lady isn't even the weirdest thing here, is she?" Val's pounding on the door didn't seem to do much. When Moira started hammering on the door North of Hades, it didn't have much effect either. Well, at least at first it didn't. As she started hitting the door harder, slowly increasing the power of her blows, it began to shake with each blow as she slowly began going beyond the power that a normal mortal would show. Finally, as she put even more power into it, the wall began to crack. She kept on and on, until, finally, it gave away, revealing a path forward. True to the nature of Hades, the leaves and branches on the path ahead were withered and dying. The ground was covered in dead leaves, with the hallway leading further and further ahead, disappearing into mists about 50 feet down from the room they were in. Joey and the woman came closer, along with the others. "Man, that does not look nice."
  21. GM The woman got up, holding one arm while trying to stop crying. Joey, in a somewhat uncharacteristic feat of noticing other people, placed an arm around her and started talking to her, trying to comfort her while Moira started looking. The guy with the dreadlocks moved up behind Moira and started looking. "So, what are we looking for?" he asked, while rustling through the leaves. "I'm Charlie, by the way. Sorry about that back there, think I'm getting better now." As it turned out, their search were succesful. They found not one, but two secret doors, or something that seemed like it, at least. Just North of the statues, at the exact points where they were pointing, in fact, there were indents behind the vines and leaves. Something big that was not a natural part of the wall, easily able to fit a person much taller and wider than Moira. They seemed to be closed shut, with no visible places to put your hands to open. "Maybe there's some kind of secret switch somewhere?" Val suggested, while she tried knocking on the door North of the Hades statue, to little effect.
  22. GM "That seemed like more than just self defense," Val muttered to herself, when Moira let go. There was a hint of suspicion to her voice, but it seemed like she would let it go, at least for now. The guy with the dreadlocks nodded. "Yeah, I think they went in there. What is this crazy place, anyway? It was just supposed to be a labyrinth or something." He was obviously distressed. Almost hsaking a little bit, but Moira taking charge of the situation seemed to help a little bit, at least. The room to the East different. About half as wide as the previous room, but maybe one and a half times as long, ending in a dead end. Not a whole lot of space to move around for a group of eight people, but they could fit somewhat comfortably, at least. The room was dominated by a pair of statues, one about one third into the room, the other standing at about two thirds into the room. The first statue seemed to be a classic depiction of Zeus. The other of Hades. Both were standing facing the entrance that Moira and her group had come through, while stretching their right arm out, pointing towards the North. An Asian woman was sitting at the foot of the Zeus statue, sobbing. Her black hair was tied into a, by now, rather loose bun at the back of her head, her white t-shirt stained with drops of wine, and the knees of her jeans had been worn out. She was bare foot, having lost her shoes somewhere along the way. "I-I don't know what happened! I looked away, and suddenly everyone else was gone!"
