REBELLION Rebellion jumped down from the truck, landing heavily next to the Meta-Naut before standing up to stare straight at the cop. "Why? She's showing no signs of any change. Everyone else was changed immediately, and the change seemed to affect their appearance, as well as their psyche. And there seemed to be no discomfort. The Meta-Naut was obviously hurt when she was hit. Everything points to a different kind of attack." He started approaching. "What was that weapon? What do you know about it?" His voice was going deeper, his eyes was almost glowing. Rebellion was not afraid to use what he had from the Terror to find out what this man knew, if anything. If not? Well, maybe one cop that wouldn't try to question him, or others near him.

GM Rita screamed, ducking to the side as the mice came in, while Nicole moved around at the rather confined space in the elevator, attempting to squeeze the mice. She only just managed to stay out of the way to give Nicole room to work as the mice moved through the elevator. Brilliant scientist or not, she seemed to be completely out of her element here. The mouse made a weird crunching noise as Nicole smashed it under her wheels. It was soft, and yet metallic. Like it was something harder than what it was supposed to be, something not quite metal, and yet not quite flesh. The crushed mouse left a silver smear on the floor, while the other two kept moving about. With a loud squeak, one of them changed direction from Nicole, heading straight for Rita's leg, quickly running up her body. "Getitoff!" Rita did her best, but the mouse dodged any attempt she made, until, finally, it reached the back of her neck, where it bit into her. She screamed in pain, then fell silent. Though still standing, she slumped forward, with the mouse, its eyes now glowing yellow, still attached to her neck. The last mouse headed for Nicole, attempting to run up her leg.

Connor couldn't suppress a small grin at Mamba actually having a super sonic stealth jet, and that it was actually hovering just above them right this moment. Yeah, of course someone here had to be the type to have more money than they knew what to do with. Not that he could complain, he'd been living off the old man's money ever since he was taken in. Made sense that this would be the guy to have something like that. A freaking super sonic jet. "You know I was only joking, right?" Still, made things easier for the crew going to Belgium. So, what? That made Corona, Black Mamba, Grimalkin and Fast-Forward for Belgium? He noticed that the only one that had actually volounteered to go stick with him was Hologram. At least somebody was coming along, then.

REBELLION Elliot took a moment to think about it. She did have some good points, there. Wouldn't look good for the Meta-Naut if she tried to take that gun. Himself, on the other hand? He could do it. But not here. That would just cause too much attention, and he didn't want everyone coming looking for him. "Yeah. No point getting into a brawl in the middle of the street." Didn't mean he'd discounted the idea, not yet at least. Besides, he had other options. He stood up straight. A gun like that, and someone dressed like that using it? Weird. Even weirder than the rest of Emerald. If he was a regular, then Rebellion would need to know more. "Feeling like a villain yet, then?" He wasn't completely serious, even if his voice might sound so. The other people that had been hit had at least seemed like regular people. What did it do when a super hero got hit with a gun like that?

REBELLION The police took the people, cuffing them and everything. Elliot had seen them being changed when hit by the gun. Whatever they had done, they were not responsible. So, what was this? Somebody in the conspiracy needing some good scapegoats for something or other? And they took the gun, too. He didn't trust the police with something like that. Emerald already had its fair share of bad guys, even if they were behind the scenes, so who knew what they could do with a gun that turned people into criminals? Perfect fodder for new recruits to the academy. He was brought out of his thoughts when the Meta-Naut floated up to him, startling him for a moment. Too lost in thought again. He had to stop doing that. "Rebellion." His answer was short and curt. So, a hero. Great. "That gun changed those people. I don't know if I trust the cops to take something like that." So, what kind of hero, then? Let's see.

Arsenal'd By Durf Archer Spending that sweet 5PP on some more tools. First, 2PP on Will Save +2 Then, 3PP on updating his Bow and Arrowsto rank 5. REBELLION One hit, and the man was sent flying from the truck. Somehow, it avoided him, leaving him to stagger to his feet. Catching the ricocheting baton in his hand, Rebellion held on to the truck for his dear life, remaining kneeling as this Captain Crime figure shouted threats at him. He'd heard much worse at the academy, something like this honestly didn't bother him. He was about to jump down and throw his baton again when the woman swooped in from out of nowhere and shot him with some weird blast... and the man just crumbled. Weak. This guy wouldn't have lasted a day at the academy. The woman checked on him. Was that a thing you were supposed to do as a hero? Did it matter that much? He was about to stand up when Captain Crime's henchmen came out. The police were already coming in, and Rebellion wasn't keen on tangling with them, so he made himself scarce. Well, he seemed to disappear, at least, but he stayed on top of the truck to watch what was going on. After all, he had to agree with the flying girl. This had been way too easy.

REBELLION The almost comically looking man atop the armored van shouted something at the woman. Something about rueing the day, his name being Captain Crime. Rebellion honestly wasn't listening, he was more focused on the fact that he had jumped from the building he had previously been on, and he was now falling through the air towards the van. The man fired a shot from his weapon at the flying woman, Elliot hearing her cry of pain as he landed on the moving truck. No time to worry about that, though. The man still had his weapon, after all. Not that Elliot was any different. Pulling out one of his batons, he threw it at the man, angled perfectly to bounce back down at the truck, and then into his waiting hand.

"Sounds about right." Annoying as he was, Connor had to agree with Facs. They needed to split up, and try to find Corona's friends. Pacify them if necessary. One could absorb tech, but was a pacifist? Unless Wu had gotten to her. The other had more combat experience than should be possible? Not something fun to deal with. Of course, if both were affected, then Heather had some serious range, or her powers were just that persistent. He looked over to the armored man and Fast-Forward. "If we're gonna regroup fast back here, then it'll make sense for those that can travel the fastest to go to Belgium, right? At least unless someone got a super sonic jet stashed somewhere." A quick pause, and he resumed. Someone had to get this started. "I guess I'll head for Rachel, unless anyone," Connor gave Facs a pointed look, "has any problems with that."

I wouldn't call this outright combat, so no need for initiative, but give me another reflex save to avoid being bitten. DC10 this time, and attack rolls if you try to smash them somehow.

GM Rita struggled to keep up. She was clearly not used to running, and even the adrenaline could only keep her going for so long. If Nicole wasn't pulling her along, she would probably have fallen behind. The mice in their path jumped at them, several falling under Nicole's wheels and being squashed, though it didn't stop their movements. No, it seemed like it would take something much more to get rid of these mice. Rita threw herself into the elevator after Nicole, the stream of mice following as the doors slowly closed. Three mice managed to spill inside, one having its tail caught in the door. It made no sound and simply pulled until the tip of its tail came loose, then launched itself at Nicole and Rita along with its companions.

REBELLION It had been a quiet afternoon so far, at least since Elliot had snuck out from the Shadow Academy. He had been running and jumping across the rooftops for a while now, heading towards the Riverfront, or, to be more accurate, the government buildings in the area. He had so far spent many sleepless nights going through the archives, trying to find anything that could lead him through the real power behind Emerald City, but so far, he had little luck. Hearing a siren, he slowed down and crouched at the corner of a building, peering down at the commotion below. He was currently dressed in dark blue pants, a slightly lighter blue jacket and shoes, and a dress shirt in the same color as his pants. Under his dark blue cap, he was completely black, with only white eyes visible. His standard look as Rebellion, really. And then the armored car came barelling past, with a man in white and black striped criminal outfit riding it, shooting some sort of ray gun everywhere. Whoever he hit seemed to turn into some kind of equally stereotypical criminal. "What the hell?" Even if there were no one around to hear him, Elliot just couldn't help it. Emerald City could be weird, but this? For a moment, he hesitated. This guy was so out there, he probably had nothing to do with the powers that be. He should just leave him alone. And then someone in a chrome helmet flew past. And the truck was a danger... With a reluctant sigh, Rebellion pulled back a few steps and set into a run towards the next building, quickly starting to bounce across the rooftops until he could get close enough to jump towards the car. Fine, then. People were in danger. Those documents would still be there later.

I think you're misreading the rules a bit here, and you start grappling now, so you need to make a grapple roll. Since you got Perception range on Move Object, your total grapple bonus is your Move Object rank x2, so make a roll at +14, and Ahab will oppose that.

GM Riverfront August 9th 2019, 4 PM The Riverfront district was as busy as ever on the Friday afternoon. City officials trying to get the last bit of work done before the weekend, locals and visitors starting their weekend in the nearby culture centers and the Yellow Brick Row shopping complex. Traffic had slowed down considerably. Everyone wanted to go somewhere. All in all, a typical Friday afternoon in Emerald City. Peace and quiet, as you would normally find in a city without super villains. Until, suddenly, several men and women stopped what they were doing, and exited their cars. A young man, maybe in his early twenties, stood nearby, appearing seemingly from out of nowhere. He was dressed in a costume with dark and light blue stripes at a 45 degree angle all over his body. He wore light blue boots and small gloves in the same color as the light blue stripes, and had a hood pulled up with the same striped pattern. His eyes were hidden behind a light blue domino mask. One could just spot his short blonde hair at the edges of the hood. His eyes seemed to be glowing white as people left their cards, starting to walk after him and towards the government buildings. Then came the sound, a loud crash as someone big came barelling through the traffic, flipping the cars out of the way while laughing loudly. The ones that caught a good look at him could see a large man, standing at least 10 feet tall, clad in what appeared to be grey armor, stylized like a triceratops, including a large helmet that mimicked that of a triceratops' head: A large flat shield, a pair of horns at his forehead, and a small horn on a part of his helmet over his nose. His eyes were hidden behind black lenses that connected directly to the helmet, while his mouth was left visible. The rest of his armor was the same dull grey as the helmet, consisting of several armored plates interconnecting along his body. He seemed to be running with little rhyme or reason, instead seeming to cause just as much chaos as he could. He didn't seem to care if he hit already empty cars, or cars that still held passengers. Moments after the man had begun his rampage, a bright light illuminated the sky. A woman in a red costume flew from the sky, leaving a trail of fire behind her as she moved. A white sun symbol at the center of her chest seemed to glow as she sent streams of fire flying randomly across the area around her. The yellow goggles that protected her eyes seemed to reflect the light from her flames as she set whatever random targets caught her sight on fire. The goggles were held in place by a heavy leather strap that went over her short black hair. Fire burning in her hands, she came to a stop, hovering above a rather large group of people. "Listen up! I'm Sunburn, and we're the Upstarts! I don't know how a city like this have been this quiet this long, but that's gonna change! This is our city now! So all of you better start handing over everything you got!" Smart phones were capturing everything already. What better place to attack than a city with no other villains? Nowhere to step on your toes or take your score? But the Upstarts had made one mistake: While Emerald City was a city without villains, it was not a city without heroes.
