  1. And there it was. Somebody with powers speaking up against the arrows. "Got broadheads, yeah." No high explosives. Honestly, he could have taken some along, but it didn't feel right. He knew the old man had some. "Among other things." No point in telling this guy everything he carried, it wasn't like everyone here had been coming out with just what they could do. He stepped up, right in front of the guy. Who even knew what he could do? He seemed confident, so probably something big. He had never heard about someone called Facs, and he was young, just a few years older than Connor himself, probably. "Because, obviously, arrows are the main danger in a super hero fight, and not whatever powers everyone here got." Connor smiled a confident smile, before stepping back from Facs, and moving over to Fast-Forward again. At least that guy had been happy to see him. "Besides, not like I shoot to kill or maim. I'm way better than that."

  3. The old Archer was Fast-Forward's best friend back then? That was news, at least to Connor. He had never done much talking about his old days, aside from tactics, what not to do and such, but if that was the case, then that made Cline's reaction make much more sense. And meant that Connor would have to ask Keller some questions later. Everyone signed up for what Corona was selling. Honestly, Connor doubted they would even have shown up here in the first place if they weren't about to help her out, anyway. He gave a quick nod in reaction to Corona's acknowledgement. She was probably right. The old man might be feeling bad about not having helped the Delinquents now, but back then, who's to say what would have happened, if he hadn't retired by then? And then Cline was back, carrying Hologram. He'd of course watched Supercrime! growing up. Hell, the old man had practically forced him to do it at first. Having a psychic of their own could help with this Tantrum. He refused to think of her as Heather. If she was against them, and as dangerous as Corona said, then he couldn't think of her as someone with a name like Heather. "She's strong, then, even if we got Hologram here to help." He decided to speak up. If they had an idea of facing someone like Tantrum, they might as well talk tactics. "As far as I know, the best way of dealing with a psychic is a sneak attack, so what else do you know about her powers? She can read minds, but can she sense when there's people nearby? And how many people can she affect at once? Know anything about her range? If she's unstable, we might be able to distract her, and those of us with range can take her out from outside her influence." Not the most impressive plan, sure, but at least he felt like he contributed something.
  4. Question away at the cultists and the book. Will be winding the thread down towards an ending, and combat's over, so no need to stick to any postingorder.
  5. Searchable Profile [A picture of what might be either a man or a woman in a not-so form fitting primarily red, metallic and pink armor, with a large pink visor, metallic mouth plate and a long red scarf. The person is standing in a workshop with a number of machines behind them, with hands on their hips, obviously posing for the camera.] [A person in the same armor as before, mid-jump, with their right leg stretched out, red scarf flowing from the movement behind them. Their left leg is bent at the knee, the lower leg under them. Their arms right arm is stretched towards their right foot, as if to aim, their left arm is bent at the elbow, held close to the body. Their right foot has connected with the chest of a reptillian humanoid, who is being sent flying backwards be the force of the kick. The picture is slightly tilted, obviously taken with a smart phone.] [The same person in the same armor, riding a dark metallic motorcycle through the busy city streets, appearing to be in the process of weaving between some cars. The red scarf is trailing behind the person, who is hunched down over the bike. The picture is from the front and slightly to the left.] Name: Justice* Gender: Female Preferred Era of Pop Culture: 2000'es, 2010'es, modern stuff I guess? 6. GM The man looked as Agnes floated up to his height. He was still smiling, that almost laugh. It could easily be seen as annoying, or worse, to tell the truth, but the man didn't seem to care about. "Oh, so you are one of them, are you?" He raised his hands up, to signal peace, and backed away. "No, no, I would not want to mess with someone special like you. If no one has gone missing here, then the trail is cold. I will have to find another." He spoke loudly. He could easily be seen as somewhat over the top, bordering on parody, perhaps, but he sounded rather sincere. He turned away and started walking swiftly, his hands moving back and forth at his sides. "Behave now, and try not to get taken by the kidnapper. Who knows what he would do with someone like you?" He sounded sincere in that, at least, as he made his way down the street, heading in the direction of another shelter.
  7. GM The man, or was it a monster, moved as the Emerald Spider fired at him, his twisted face changing into what might be a grin, at least until the light show that Justice put up, followed by the blast that connected directly to his chest. The Emerald Spider's taunt might have worked, drawing his attention away from Justice, if not for that blast. As it was, he looked down at his chest where the blast had connected for a moment, before lunging wildly at Justice, swinging a clawed and spiked arm towards her, which she only just managed to back away from.
  8. Justice "Ow!" The kick connected, hard enough to at least put the guy off balance for a moment, but the moment she connected, Robin felt the spikes under his coat. They didn't exactly cut through her armor, but if the angle had been a little worse, they just might have. Just who was this guy, and what was he made of? Seemed like bones, but they were dense and sharp. Anyway, she was not about to make that mistake again. "Watch out, he stings when you hit him." She might be trying to sound all business, but in truth, she was just a little bit excited to get to show off this trick. If getting in close with the guy hurt her, and if he was hard enough that a kick only knocked him off balance for a moment, then she needed something more powerful than the Justice Buster. Shifting a hand to her belt, she clicked a button, while raising the Justice Buster with the other. A portal appeared behind her, blue pieces of armor flying out from it towards her, while the pink and red armor she was currently wearing flew away. It all happened fast. Fast enough that the bad guy couldn't get a chance to stab at her while it did so. The end result? A blue armor similar to her previous one, but more heavily armored, and with no scarf, but what appeared to be small boost rockets behind her. Wires from the armor's right gauntlet had connected to the Justice Buster. Quickly raising the gun, she didn't waste time aiming much, instead firing a powerful blast directly at the bad guy's chest.
  9. Yep, that's a miss. Justice uses a move action to switch to the Blaster Armor and takes a shot with the Enhanced Blaster: 1d20+9 = 22 That's a hit, a DC22 TOU save for the baddie. Enemy TOU: 20, he gets another bruise Since Justice is still in melee, he goes for her with a melee attack: 17, not enough to hit Justice. The aura doesn't trigger, since it doesn't connect. 26 - Emerald Spider - 2HP - Unharmed 19 - Justice - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 14 - Enemy - Bruise (x2) You're up.
  10. Very interested!
  11. GM Tricia's eyes were like ice as she starred at the cosmic captain of the cosmos. "Yes, you are clearly showing that you are no hero at all." Clearly, she was getting nowhere with Captain Cosmos, so instead she turned to the masses around them. "Come on! Are you just going to let him treat me like this? Look at those guys with guns, and he's trying to get me to empty my pockets? Whose side is this guy on, anyway? He's probably working with those gunmen!" The crowds didn't really seem to pick a side here. Some sounded like they agreed with Tricia, others with the captain. At any rate, Tricia did not make any move to empty her pockets.
  12. GM The blood did not appear tainted. Whatever the ink in the man had been, it was gone now. Pure, red blood, rushing to the vampire as he fed. The man groaned, and weakly tried to struggle. The woman was still conscious, fighting to stay up, she supported her weight on the table. She stumbled, leaning forward, pushing a book off the table. It landed in front of her Doctor Thorne, flipped to a random page. Already, the words on the page were moving, the ink shifting and changing into other words than what had once been. "God... God will smite you..." She struggled to stay upright still. I AM THE INK GOD was all the pages said.
  13. Ew, but sure.
  14. GM The unlucky pirate, the last one standing near Thunderbird, one might add, probably shouldn't have mentioned anything about the young man's mother. No, now that he stared at the lightning that struck the youth's hand, that much was very clear to the pirate. In the brief second before the spear of lightning collided with his chest, the pirate raised his hands, waving them in front of himself, starting to stammer an apology. Then he was thrown back with the force of lightning as it struck him. Charred, burnt, but somehow still alive, he wriggled and groaned on the ground, drawing more than a few stares from his fellow pirates.
  15. Pirate TOU save: 18 He is down, and Thunderbird is out of people to fight. @Tiffany Korta, @Thevshi you're up!
  16. 777 was quite sure if it should speak up or not when the Terran students started discussing other actions than the one determined by the teacher. Such a novel thing to do, take actions on your own, despite what your leader was telling you. Maybe it was something 777 should try to do in the future? Still, when it was mentioned, it could not stay silent. "Affirmative. This unit has a full weapon package ready to protect the students, if need be." At least everything turned out in the students' favor, and Sitara seemed to approve. Once the students were left alone, 777's display changed to show a smiling green mouth and closed eyes, before approaching Nicole. "How did you know that this unit possessed weaponry capable of protecting you?" It was, of course, genuinely curious.
  17. "Guess that settles that, then." Pan winked quickly at Judy. If she wished to stay, then by all means. He was more interested in meeting this hero that had both Aja and Danica interested, after all! With a quick hop and a skip (and a little bit of Pixie Dust falling behind him), he was by Danica's side, smiling widely as they approached, both slowing his pace to match Danica, much like Aja was. He was just along for the ride, after all. Still, once Mrs. Summers introduced them, Pan couldn't stay silent any longer. "Greetings, Mr. Lamarr! I am Pan!" He raised his right hand to his head in a mock military salute. A very difficult situation, Summers said? Ha, they could all deal with very difficult situations with ease, could they not? "It is an honor! My friends here have been dying to meet you!"
  18. Fast-Forward, Cline, he actually came forward, and was happy to see a new Archer? Well, that was not what he had expected. He didn't know if the other heroes would even care, but at least it seemed like Cline did. He looked at Cline's hand for a moment, before accepting it. Cline was an ex-villain, like Corona here, but he'd made good. Connor could respect that, at least. "Likewise. The old man has told me a lot about you." Well, something, at least. Mostly fights and using Cline as examples of what to do when facing a speedster. Connor suddenly felt very aware that he was probably the one here with the least experience, at least in the field. Sure, he'd been training for years before the old man was willing to let him go out and put his skills to the test, so there was that, but this was something else, wasn't it? "He's hurt kids, and he's gonna hurt kids again, right? Then we take him down. Doesn't need to be more complicated than that." Of course it was more complicated. They'd be dealing with psychics and whatever else Wu had cooked up. Guess it was time to see how he measured up compared to these other heroes.
  19. Upgrade Complete - Durf Justice UPDATED BASED ON PM! To accomodate the mistake, this should be the new Justice Driver device: Device 5 ("Justice Driver"; 25PP Container; Flaws: Hard-To-Lose; Feats: Restricted 2 [Only you can use], Subtle; Drawbacks: Normal Identity [Free Action]) [20PP] (Invention, Technology) With the Normal Identity drawback, Justice will still need to use the free action to actually activate the armor. Without the armor, she is PL6 offensively, PL7 defensively, so I hope that'll work. So, update following that: First, a small fix: The color of hair and eyes have been switched around! Please update to: Eyes: GreenHair: Dark brown Then, time to spend PP and update PL! Please increase PL to 10 Increasing the rank of the Justice Driver device from 5 to 9, spending 16PP, which should leave me with 1PP left. Spendings for the Justice Driver device at rank 9 as below: --- Device 9 ("Justice Driver"; 45PP Container; Flaws: Hard-To-Lose; Feats: Restricted 2 [Only you can use], Subtle; Drawbacks: Normal Identity [Free Action]) [36PP] (Invention, Technology) Armor Change Array 17 (34PP Array, Feats: Alternate Power 2, Drawback: Action [Move]) [35PP] (Z-Space) BP: Alternate Form 6.8 ("Justice Armor"; 34PP Alternate Form) {34/34PP} Damage 10 ("Justice Kick"; Feats: Knockback, Mighty) [12PP] (Bludgeoning Damage Type) Enhanced Feats 2 (Attack Focus [Ranged]+2) [2PP] Enhanced Stats 4 (Strength+4) [4PP] Enhanced Trait 8 (Attack Bonus+4) [8PP] Enhanced Trait 4 (Defense Bonus+2) [4PP] Protection 4 [4PP] AP: Alternate Form 6.8 ("Stealth Armor"; 34PP Alternate Form) {34/34PP} Concealment 6 ("Stealth Field"; Options: All Visual, All Auditory) [12PP] (Technology) Enhanced Blast 0 ("Silenced Justice Shot"; Stacks with Justice Shot; Feats: Subtle 2) [2PP] Enhanced Feats 8 (Attack Focus [Ranged] 6, Dodge Focus 2) [8PP] Enhanced Trait 4 (Defense Bonus+2) [4PP] Protection 2 [2PP] Super-Movement 3 (Trackless, Wall-Crawling 2) [6PP] AP: Alternate Form 6.8 ("Blaster Armor"; 20PP Alternate Form) {34/34PP} Blast Array 7 (14PP Array, Feats: Alternate Power 1) [15PP] BP: Enhanced Blast 6 ("Enhanced Justice Shot"; Stacks with Justice Shot to Blast 11; Feats: Homing, Incurable) {14/14PP} (Impact Damage Type) AP: Obscure 7 ("Smoke Grenade"; Options: Visual Obscure; Extras: Independent) {14/14PP} (Smoke) Impervious Toughness 10 [10PP] Leaping 3 ("Jump Jets") [3PP] Protection 6 [6PP] Enhanced Feats 1 (Improved Initiative) [1PP] Enhanced Stats 4 (Constitution+4) [4PP] Enhanced Traits 5 (Fortitude Save+3, Reflex Save+2) [5PP] --- Which gives the following updated Combat, Saving Throws and DC blocks: Combat: 8 + 8 = 16PP Initiative: +2 / +6 (+4 Improved Initiative from Justice Driver) Attack: +4 Base, Justice Armor [+8 Melee (+4 Base, +4 Enhanced Attack), +13 Ranged (+4 Base, +5 Attack Focus, +4 Enhanced Attack), +15 Justice Buster (+4 Base, +5 Attack Focus, +2 Attack Specialization, +4 Enhanced Attack)], Stealth Armor[+4 Melee (+4 Base), +13 Ranged (+4 Base, +3 Attack Focus, +6 Enhanced Attack Focus), +15 Justice Buster (+4 Base, +3 Attack Focus, +2 Attack Specialization, +6 Enhanced Attack Focus)], Blaster Armor [+4 Melee (+4 Base), +7 Ranged (+4 Base, +3 Attack Focus), +9 Justice Buster (+4 Base, +3 Attack Focus, +2 Attack Specialization)] Defense: +8 (+4 Base, +4 Dodge Focus), +2 Flat-Footed, Justice Armor [+10 (+4 Base, +4 Dodge Focus, +2 Enhanced Defense), +3 Flat-Footed], Stealth Armor [+12 (+4 Base, +4 Dodge Focus, +2 Enhanced Defense, +2 Enhanced Dodge Focus), +3 Flat-Footed] Grapple: +4, Justice Armor [+6 (+4 Base Attack, +2 Strength)] Knockback: -2 (TOU 4/2), Justice Armor [-5 (TOU 10/2)], Stealth Armor [-4 (TOU 8/2)], Blaster Armor [-4 (TOU 8/2)] Saving Throws: 3 + 6 + 6 = 15PP Toughness: +4 (+2 Con, +2 Defensive Roll) / Justice Armor [+10 (+4 Con, +2 Defensive Roll, +4 Protection)], Stealth Armor [+8 (+4 Con, +2 Defensive Roll, +2 Protection)], Blaster Armor [+12 (+4 Con, +2 Defensive Roll, +6 Protection)] Fortitude: +5 (+2 Con, +3) / +10 (+4 Con, +3, +3 Enhanced Trait) [w. 20. "A sharktopus!" Pan marvelled at the word, pronouncing it slowly and with great appreciation of every single letter. "Yes. Yes, you must do that!" He waved with his hand in an effort to dismiss Davyd's concern. "Infiltration I can handle, if it comes to it." He waved his hand back and forth a bit, until it was suddenly just gone, just a black hole where his lower arm ended. "For all of us, if necessary." His hand reappeared, wriggling his fingers. "But now, a sharktopus! That would be a sight to see!" His attention had been diverted from the plans ahead once again.
  21. Archer II Connor had been watching Donahue's for a while now, watching from an alley at the opposite side of the street. The old man had brought him the ad from the Daily Herald. A good opportunity to meet some other heroes, see how they did things, and something about feeling guilty about not even caring about Corona's old team back when they were around. Yeah, the old man had given up back then, had lost the fight. Maybe he could've helped the Delinquents, maybe he couldn't, but that was his guilt, not Connor's. Still, it was an opportunity that Connor wasn't about to pass up. He'd been working on his own in Southside so far. Not really a household name or anything yet. So, his first team up. The young man with the ball and chain. Some kind of blur that he could barely follow. Someone in armor. A varied crew. Fine, he could work with that. About time to enter, anyway. Clad in his full red and white costume, with enough hints to the original Archer's in the design, while still being his own thing, with a quiver and bow on his back, Connor made his way across the street and pushed the door open, stepping inside, and yep. The guy about his own age. Someone in armor, and was that Richard Cline? And a animal man of some kind? And the last one? That had to be Corona. "Evening." He made his way towards the woman, ignoring the others for now, and extending his hand towards her. "Guessing you're Corona? I'm the Archer. Just tell me where to aim."
  22. Archer is up for this, if you want him.
  23. GM The men looked around, but for the moment, the one still awake seemed content, maybe even like he didn't entirely mind being in the cage. He got to work trying to wake his comrades. Charlemagne nodded and gestured towards the gate. "I do believe you are right, my friend. I don't know who this mystery man is, but it seems clear what he is trying to do." His jovial voice grew deathly serious. "Poaching. He has come for my friends, and I cannot allow that!" He paused, pointing to William. "William!" *OINK!* "Guard these poachers! If they attempt to escape, trample them! Oswald, follow me!" He ran towards the window back into his home, jumping through it, and as Oswald followed, it would be clear that something was very wrong. Several of the paintings, much like William's had become crooked. Some were missing. Something was indeed very wrong in the mysterious menagerie of monsters.
  24. GM *bump* The sounds were getting more frequent. Louder too. As much as Nicole might have doubted it at first, it was no mere imagination. *bump* Close, so close. As she reached for the door, she could almost swear that the sound was right outside. "Did you hear that?" Rita looked around. She looked worried. "Like, a bump." However she might have missed the noise before, she could hear it now. As the door swung open, Nicole found herself staring at twelve little white mice, all sitting nicely arranged in three rows of four outside the door. They were looking up at her with their red eyes, as they all sat on their behinds, the feet of their frontlegs clasped in front of them. They were quiet, unmoving, but for all intents and purposes, they appeared to be completely ordinary mice. *bump*
  25. GM Despite the man's mask, Oz could almost make out that he was grinning. Despite his situation, he seemed rather confident. "More than just us. We're everywhere." That seemed to be as much as he was willing to share on that matter, at least, before he chuckled lightly again. If he was moved by Truffles eating his weapons, he did not show it. "And I guess you'll have to find out that part on your own, Tubsy. He pays well enough that I'm not gonna tell a bargain bin magician like you anything, so get on with it, or leave me alone."
