  1. Spaceman "No idea," the girl says, trying to hold up the scanner, but with little effect. "I don't really know how it works, anyway." Parker looks back and forth between the girl that is now a teenager, the hidden door that he can sense and the scanner hidden on the wall. "Buzz, come here. We'll go first, then I'll grab you," he looks at the girl, "and then Timeout." There's too many of them for him to bring them all alone at once, but... its a door. And there's somewhere they can go on the other side. One by one, Parker changes the distance between himself and the other that he holds on to and the space on the other side of the door, bringing them over, until they are all there. "Now what?" he asks the girl.
  2. The STORMCROW "Neko's got some serious stage skills," Charlie says to Leon, as they watch from backstage. He is wearing a pair of jeans and a dark red t-shirt with a white pattern of exclamation points and question marks on the upper right part of his chest, spreading over his shoulder to his back. He's looked into her. Of course he has. He knows how complicated her story is, he knows the files that Claremont got on her and what she can do (just a fringe benefit of Callie Summers being the headmistress), but that doesn't mean that he knows her. While Bernie and Multiplicity are rocking the stage, Charlie grins at Leon. Sure, they might have their issues, but he's not going to let that stop him. "You two seem to be doing alright. So, how did you get together?"
  3. The STORMCROW Charlie's eyes go wide when Bernie all but tackles him, wrapping her arms tightly around him. This is not the Bernie he is used to. This is not... This is Bernie who needs him. He has already noticed her state. Scrapes, cuts, bruises, blood, but she can handle that normally. This is... This is different. He wraps his arms around her, holding her close, letting her cry. Letting her know that he is there, that he has her, that she is not alone. When she stops for a moment to explain, he looks down at her. Confused at first, then understanding. "Do you mean..." He pauses, not sure if he wants to even say it, but he has to. "One of your duplicates?" He can't even begin to imagine what it would be like...
  4. GM Time passes, and the A.E.G.I.S. arrives to take care of the people that had ben injured and to contain the area. A breach like this, even contained, is something to be taken seriously. Some heroes are gone by the time A.E.G.I.S. arrives, others might not be. After letting the others know that he would be in touch, Stormcrow disappeared. The Conqueror Worm's puppets slowly awaken. They remember little of what happened, but they all feel tainted, violated to their core. No one escapes the Conqueror Worm's touch without a mark. Bluejay, once a promising hero, the daughter of a Claremont vice principal, is all but catatonic. She moves, she responds, but she refuses to take any action. Is she in control? Is she controlled? She cannot know. Not after this long. Toxin is angry. Where Bluejay seems to have given up, she is pissed off, angry at the world, and right now, especially angry at the A.E.G.I.S. crew that is bringing her in for questioning, as they try to figure out what actions she took willingly, and which she did not. Ms. Scorpion is taken into custody. Ranting, raving, swearing revenge against everyone and everything. Clearly far more unbalanced than she were before. She is taken away by A.E.G.I.S., yelling all the way, even as they attempt to offer her medical attention. Chump and Casanova are gone. Whatever might be left of Sebastian Shields are keeping them hidden, untraceable. Or maybe they are just that far gone. For now, the day is won. The Young Guardians stand triumphant. The Conqueror Worm is conquered. Everything is fine and resolved. Everything is over. --- The near future Eddie Fell doesn't like it. He doesn't like it at all. Everything was supposed to be over. Everything going back to the way it used to be, just him and his buddy hanging out, taking care of each other, keeping each other safe. He even got them an apartment while his buddy got better and got back to normal. Got a job to take care of them, plenty of food in the fridge and everything, and still... It just isn't working out like Eddie hoped. Eddie is leaned against the door frame by the bedroom. His friend is in bed, still out of it. Staring up at the ceiling with open eyes, without seeing anything. Eddie doesn't like it. He doesn't like it at all, but who can he go to for help? Things are supposed to be fine now. Everything is supposed to be back to normal. "... and the angels, all pallid and wan..." His friend is muttering that poem again. That terrible, terrible poem. "...uprising, unveiling, affirm..." Eddie looks at the bent police badge on the kitchen desk for the hundredth time this day. All he has left of his dad, and he let it get to this. What would his dad have done? Would he have tried to stop his friend? "... that the play is the tragedy, "Man,"..." As Eddie Fell watches, a sudden realization comes over him, when he sees Sebastian Shields close his eyes for the last time... "... and its hero..." A stranger's eyes open, where once was Sebastian Shields. Eddie Fell decides that today is not the day to live up his nickname. Chump turns and runs. "The Conqueror Worm."
  5. As discussed on Discord, that means that the Immunity powers does not have the Flaw Permanent. I have updated the sheet to make it clear that they are Continuous instead.
  6. The STORMCROW It's a quiet night, for once. Nothing on the scanners, nothing worth going out on patrol for or anything, so Charlie has been spending the evening and night so far, so time to work some personal projects, while the rest of the people in the mansion sleeps or does whatever they do at night. He barely even heard Bernadette enter, as she raised her voice. He turns around immediately, the concern visible on his face as he sees her. "Bernie? What's happened?" Charlie is on his feet almost before he talks, moving across the room towards her.
  7. GM Looking at Baz, Doctor Macedon smiles lightly and pats her side. Or rather, pats the holster on her side that seems to be holding a revolver. Turning back to the two students that seem willing to learn at the moment, she looks at what Carmen is pointing out. "That seems right, Carmen. See those rocks over there?" she points out a formation that, if you squint, look sort of like a man with a top hat. "They're right there." She pauses, and points to another spot on the map. "So, if we need to get here," she points at another spot on the map, to the North, "what direction do we need to go then, if you look at the map and the compass?" Once Carmen and Bernadette figures it out, Doctor Macedon lets them take the lead through the desert, while she does her best to make Baz and Vueriz come along.
  8. GM Slowly, slowly, ever so slowly, Haven moves into the hole. His body is only his perception, contorting and shrinking as he sees fit, but even then, the transfer rate through the firewall that surrounds the Emerald City is agonizingly slow. It feels like forever, as his body shifts and changes. Behind, he can hear the Woodsman. "Almost there! Almost there!" over and over, followed by "Don't forget about me!" It is like he is passing through the looking glass, into another place, one that requires that he shifts and changes. The moment that Haven finally makes it through, his body is stretched and shrunken, resulting in a strange, mishapen body. At least there is no one on the other side of the wall as he now finds himself standing in a majestic, futuristic city cast in emerald. Above hangs the red planet.
  9. Spaceman "I kind of want to see how far you can get it if you really try," Parker says to Michael, crossing his arms. "I want to see how far out you can get it before I can grab it. Not like I can do like that at Claremont, in the middle of the city." A ball isn't easy, not at distance. He can feel anything out to a certain distance, everything around him. Like another sense, one that he's pretty sure the rest of them doesn't have, but a ball isn't big. It's not easy to grab hold of, and a place like this, where nobody can watch? That's the perfect spot. "Go for it, Carmen. I'll grab the ball before it gets too far away."
  10. Spaceman "The burgers are pretty good..." Parker tries, even if he doesn't know if it matters at all, given Vueriz's potential dietary concerns. Michael calms down a bit, at least, but then already throws more questions at Vueriz, while she is still going with Consuelo. "How about you just pick a direction and go there, Michael?" he asks. "It's not like Vueriz knows where anything is, anyway."
  11. The STORMCROW Everyone's engaging the bad guys, fighting them, trying to drive them back, find out who the enemies are and what they can do and Charlie knows that he should be doing the same, but the moment he sees Bernie fall... All of his training, every strategy and tactic just goes out the window. "Multi-Girl!" She'll be fine. Of course she will. She's tougher than him, stronger than him and still... Raising a gauntlet up, he shoots a line towards a nearby building. The moment it connects, it pulls him in, catapulting him over the battlefield. He lets go mid-air, spreading out his cape to soar towards the two Legion that are standing over Bernie. He is already reaching for the collapsible staff in his belt. The moment he lands, he swings it in a wide arc towards both of them, trying to force them back, away from Bernie. "Get away from her!"
  12. Charlie moves into melee with the two Legion that attacked Bernie and attacks the first with his staff: 19 DC25 TOU save if that hits. And just in case it knocks the first Legion out, I'll use Takedown 2 from the staff to attack the other one: 20 Also DC25 TOU save, if the first one's knocked out.
  13. Hope it's alright I use the PL12 sheet that'll be approved when I get a second approval Initiative: 26
  14. GHOST Aaaand there it was, the other shoe dropping, right after everything seemed to be fine and dandy with the Star Khan and everything. "Nice ideas, kid," he responds to Artificer. He is starting to feel kind of responsible for him, especially if they're bringing him over there, and even if they were both given a tour, Casper was the one that had brought him along in the first place. "But the rest of us'll be there too, and you got no idea how their bodies might react to that anaesthetic, if at all." "Sooner we get there the better, right?" he asks no one there in particular, before looking at Gaian Knight and Velocity. "Let's get over there and make friends with the Star Khan."
  15. GHOST Casper shrugs, like he so often does, while holding his glass out to let Lynn pour him a glass as well. "We can always wonder about the maybes and what ifs, but what's it gonna matter? Lots of things that could've been done differently, y'know." He pauses to drink from his glass, before he continues "I've thought about it, sure, but her mom doesn't want me to, and I gotta respect that, at least until she's older. No need to make her worry about me and what I get up to, but, y'know, I wouldn't mind her figuring out that I'm not just some deadbeat."
  16. Spaceman "There's Jotunn," Parker says, in response to Velocity's question. "I don't really know him, but he's tall and blue, and I think he has some sort of ice powers." He shrugs. That is really all he knows. He haven't really talked with the older student, haven't seen him more than in passing, even while they were both at the island in Fiji before this. "Whatever brought us here, do we even know that they were sent to the same time?" He doesn't like to ask the question, but it has to be asked.
  17. The STORMCROW Being the singer's boyfriend does have it advantages, like being able to show up backstage. He has been hanging out while Multiplicity gets ready, doing his best to either help out or stay out of the way. Sure, he might be busy with all his own projects, but he'd feel bad if he didn't show up to support Bernie and the rest of them. He might not be close friends with the rest of the band yet, but they're on friendly terms, at least. "Just imagine them in their underwear, Mark," Charlie quips, leaned against a wall at the moment. He's dressed in his usual style, a black dress shirt and pants with a bright red tie, which is tied very loosely. "You guys got this, don't worry." He hadn't exactly let them know who he was, even if a few of them might have seen him around Claremont.
  18. GM Evening, March 22nd, 2024 A local, somewhat small, but still with plenty of room, show stage Tokyo The music is loud, and so are the fans, as Multiplicity has taken the stage. Normally, they would be playing back home in Freedom City, but ever since Neko had started helping build their social media presence, the band had started to gain a massive following in Japan. More than enough to get an invitation to go there to play, taking the stage together with Neko. Both Neko and Bernadette and Neko has both brought their boyfriends along, and despite their somewhat strained relationship, both Charlie and Leon had come along. Despite Charlie's offer of taking the Young Guardians' jet, they had traveled commercial, which had been quite an experience, but now they were here. The lightshow that illuminated the hall turns off, and the crowd goes quiet, waiting for Multiplicity and Neko to start the show.

  20. Fixed. Not sure where that score came from, tbh.
  21. Spaceman Parker is getting ready for another strike when Velocity comes out of nowhere and handily takes down the robot. Is this how easy it was supposed to be? Or was their numbers the reason they won like this? He doesn't like it. He waits for a moment, before he follows Michael down towards Velocity where Baz is stumbling over himself as usual and the others do introductions and immediately let her know that they are time travellers. Fair enough, then. Landing, he moves up to the others. He seems to be the only one that remembers what Lawrence said the moment before they all stopped. They're already making changes here anyway, so... "I'm Spaceman. We have no idea how or why we ended up here, but things were supposed to be different. I don't know a lot about this time," he is not lying, because he knows how bad he is at that, but not telling the whole truth, at least, "but you weren't supposed to be alone to fight that robot. There were supposed to be other heroes here." He looks briefly at Lawrence. If Parker says it, then Lawrence won't have to. Makes him dealing with all this easier, at least.
  22. Spaceman Parker is there as the foot comes down. Strange black bubbles krackle and rise from his skin, floating off him as he uses his powers to push it back, away from Baz and into the street. He stares at Consuelo, like he doesn't believe what he is hearing. There are people in danger, and she's deciding to sit this one out, because she doesn't believe Lawrence? She did act, at least. Like the rest of them. They shouldn't change the past, but if Lawrence is right, this is a different timeline, so it isn't their past... and even if it isn't, it doesn't matter. They have to stop this. "Star!" he calls out to Michael, as he looks up towards the giant. More and more black krackle are rising from his body. "Let's go!" Spaceman almost explodes up from the ground alongside Golden Star, leaving a stream of black krackle behind. He pulls his right hand back alongside Golden Star, a completely synchronized punch from both of them aimed directly at the giant mummy robot's face.
  23. Personal Space Control Array to Super-Strength Space Control Array to Elongation+Enh. Strength Space Movement Array to Flight Then... Parker is gonna fly up and punch it: 24 I think that's a hit, so a DC25 TOU save, and I'm gonna try to establish a grapple: 50
  24. TOU save 16 Gonna spend a HP to reroll that: 10+11 = 21+10 = 31
  25. Boosting Ghost to PL12, replacing his old sheet. Not a whole lot new, aside from increasing ranks and adding some Immunities to his Insubstantial powers.
