  1. GM The man yelled, doing his best to evade, but failing, as the emerald lightning crackled around him, several blasts hitting him straight on and dancing over his body. He dropped to a knee, while letting out a loud curse. Now that he was not directly in the light, Oz could see that he wore a light brown armor, with padding at the chest, arms and legs. He wore a full face mask in the same color, with black goggles over his eyes and a gas mask over his mouth. His heavy boots had, somehow, not left any imprints in the ground. He was stunned for the moment, giving Oz another chance.
  2. That's a hit, with a +1, so DC30 TOU. TOU: 19, fail by 11, Hunter - Staggered, Dazed Oz - 1HP - Unharmed You're up again, and let me get a Notice check.
  3. GM Astrid's club collided with one of the pirates, a fellow with an eyepatch and a peg leg. He had a full black beard, which appeared rather grimy. One had to wonder if he had ever washed it at all. His lips split into a wide grin despite the hit, and he seemed none the worse for wear. Astrid might be mighty, but it appeared that the pirates were strong as well. Perhaps Pan's stories of them had not been exaggeration, despite his other habits. Vegas read the lists that Nicole were presenting him, quickly putting down notes. Despite his obvious disarray, he was doing what he could. He was a company man, after all, and he was not about to argue with Veronica or her friends. As he noted the items he mentioned a few he knew where to find, and some that they didn't have, but he would do his best, at least. The second pirate ship continued its approach. It was slower than the first one, but it fired a cannonball that shook Zenith's dome as it struck it, a thundering explosion rocking the entire building under it.
  4. @Zeitgeist Blue: Let's start off with Knowledge (Arcane Lore) and Knowledge (Technology) for what bits and parts you can use. Vegas will be able to get you most of the tools requested by the end of the next round. @Cubismo: That's a hit for the first guy. TOU: 33. He's tanking the hit! @Tiffany Korta: Ship A is closest, and will remain so. I'll assume you're approaching it. Ship B approaches, moving slower. It takes a shot at the dome. 26, that's a hit. Rolling TOU for the dome for saving time, vs DC27: 22. Fail by 5, another Damaged to the dome, but its still standing. *32 - White Lioness - 1HP - Unharmed - Waiting for a lift for the rest of the turn 26 - Thunderbird - 2HP - Unharmed 25 - Veronica Danger - 3HP - Unharmed 24 - Forever Boy - 4HP - Unharmed 23 - Ship A Crew - Undamaged - 5 Pirates near Danger building - Unharmed 21 - Ms. Thursday - 2HP - Unharmed (Currently DEF 5) 19 - Salvo - 2HP - Unharmed 15 - Ship B Crew - Undamaged *11 - Zenith - 2HP - Unharmed Other Zenith's Dome - Toughness 10, Def -7? (5-12) (Awesome Size) - Damaged x3, Disabled (hole in the barrier) Fog/Rainclouds around the building, courtesy of Thunderbird The cannonball that didn't break the dome was destroyed, the other is now inside the dome, not too far from the people near the entrance, with pirates appearing from it. Current situation, to summarize: The institute is currently surrounded by a Toughness 10 dome, which the teens can pass or shoot through without harm. Zenith, Thunderbird and Veronica Danger are outside, with fog and rain clouds giving them some cover. Forever Boy has reached Ship A, flying near it. White Lioness is approaching Ship A. Salvo has moved further inside the complex to try to figure out the Horologium. The flying Sky-Pirate ships are approaching from above. Ship A is about 1000 feet away at this point, and Ship B about 1500 feet away at this point, but approaching rapidly. Both are about 200 feet above ground. A group of 5 pirates have appeared from a glowing light from the cannonball that managed to break through the dome, Ms. Thursday is in melee. They're within the fog/raincloud cover that Thunderbird has created. @TheAbsurdist, @Tiffany Korta, you're up.
  5. @Grumblefloof It's fine. Give me a post when you can.
  6. Check! I'll let @NineOfSpades go first!
  7. Alright, your move then!
  8. Forever Boy Pan frowned at Selena's comment. Get away from the insanity that was their school? But why? Even with everything that had happened, he had to admit one thing: He had rarely been bored. Except for during classes, of course. Now those could be boring, dragging on endlessly at times. "Honestly, I quite like it at the school, insanity and all. If anything, it is a grand adventure. There are few things worse in the world than being bored, and aside from the classes and homework. Besides, I have done many things, but I do not believe that I have ever attended a school before." He honestly couldn't remember. Maybe he had spent some time in a school at some point back on Neverworld, maybe he had not, but nothing like Claremont, at least. He did like being up high, at least. He slowly chewed some popcorn, savoring the flavor, while he looked up at the screen. Now that Selena mentioned it, there was actually something he remembered that he wanted to ask her. "Why did you decide to come to Claremont? Everyone seems to have their own answer to that."
  9. GM *BANG!* The sound was loud, and efficient. Even if Oswald had not called out the man's location, both Charlemagne and William would have noticed him by now. How had he entered the world of the painting? That remained a mystery. His intent, however, seem quite clear, the bullet flying straight towards William, with only Oswald's emerald cube standing in its way. The pig squealed, quite loudly one might add. William was not happy with the prospect of being hunted, it seemed, and neither was Charlemagne, quickly diving to shield the pig with his own body. "A poacher!" Charlemagne almost snarled the word. "In my menagerie!"
  10. And, action. The bad guy shoots at the pig, but in time for the shield to come up: 29 Give me a DC24 TOU roll for your shield, and let's just go with a bit of pseudo initiative, with action already having started First: Oz - 1HP - Unharmed Second: Hunter - Unharmed Third: Charlemagne & William
  11. Pan did his best to keep his attention on the stories that Danica and Judy were sharing. It was not that it was boring. Truly, it wasn't, but there was just so much going on with the credits still rolling on the big screen, people around them and everything like that. It was quite exciting, to say the least. His attention was not drawn around for a lack of interest. Besides, the names of the stores and drinks and what not were not really something he was able to grasp in any way. Still, he paid enough attention to respond when Danica directed a question to him, making an exaggerated shrug and a smile in response. "Yes, there were quite the lack of malls during my childhood, I am afraid. I suppose I will have to make up for lost time, so lead the way!"
  12. Rebellion The door moved away, as if carried by something, gently sliding to the side. Yeah. Someone was there alright. But what was whoever it was up to? The moment he stepped inside the room, he appeared... and he really didn't look like anyone that Elliot had seen before. A guy in a purple poncho, with a hood pulled up tightly. That was all that Elliot could see from behind him, at least. But what was he up to? Was he even a student? And what had caused him to become suddenly visible like that? No, Elliot felt no need to approach him quite yet. Stay back, watch and listen.
  13. GM The door offered little resistance, once the screw were removed, at least. It slowly slid off the deadbolts, while Screech entered the office. There were indeed psi jammers inside the room, much as he had expected, but not of the kind that he had. The moment he was inside, he would immediately become visible to Rebellion, and any other onlookers that might come through the hall. Attempting to reach out with his mind, he instead found those very powers blocked. The room itself was rather spartan. A bookshelf with a few books on one end of the room. A coat rack, currently empty. A desk, with a laptop placed on it, currently closed, a comfy chair positioned behind it.
  14. You've entered a Nullify (Mental/Psionic) 12 effect. Opposed power check: 32 For now, your powers are shut down.
  15. Can I get a Will save?
  16. GM Oz might be taking his time, but others were not. While Charlemagne was happily, and somewhat obviously, petting the pig, Oswald noticed something else. A shadow, a person kneeling in the distance, what appeared to be a rifle in his hands, raised and aimed towards Charlemagne, Oswald and the Pig. He could not quite make out the man's features. The sun was behind him, and he appeared as nothing but a silhouette against it, but even then, his intent was clear... and Oswald had but moments to act.
  17. GM Another loud bang, and another cannonball flew through the air from the ship that Forever Boy had flown towards. The cannonball sailed past him, colliding directly with the dome. It shook once more, but still held, leaving the single hole. Perhaps more trouble was the cannonball on the ground inside the dome. The flashing red light grew in power and intensity, until the cannonball opened, the top splitting from the bottom. A powerful red light shone from the core, before taking on the shape of a sparkling red doorway. Five men quickly emerged, dressed very much in the style one would associate with a pirate. Eye patches, peg legs, flintlock pistols. Bandanas, a fancy hat or two. But not a single one with a hook. At least having moved through the sparkling red doorway seemed to temporarily faze them, giving the young heroes a chance to act.
  18. Ship A shoots at the dome again: 22 Another hit. @TheAbsurdist I hope its alright that I just roll the defense to save time: 1d20+9 = 15 vs. DC23, fail by 8. The Dome takes another damaged effect, but no new holes. And five pirates appear from the cannonball, but they won't get to act until next round for the Ship A crew. 32 - White Lioness - 1HP - Unharmed - Waiting for a lift for the rest of the turn 26 - Thunderbird - 2HP - Unharmed 25 - Veronica Danger - 3HP - Unharmed 24 - Forever Boy - 4HP - Unharmed 23 - Ship A Crew - Undamaged - 5 Pirates near Danger building - Unharmed *21 - Ms. Thursday - 2HP - Unharmed *19 - Salvo - 2HP - Unharmed 15 - Ship B Crew - Undamaged 11 - Zenith - 2HP - Unharmed Other Zenith's Dome - Toughness 10, Def -7? (5-12) (Awesome Size) - Damaged x2, Disabled (hole in the barrier) Fog/Rainclouds around the building, courtesy of Thunderbird The cannonball that didn't break the dome was destroyed, the other is now inside the dome, not too far from the people near the entrance. Current situation, to summarize: The institute is currently surrounded by a Toughness 10 dome, which the teens can pass or shoot through without harm. Zenith, Thunderbird, Ms. Thursday, White Lioness and Veronica Danger is outside, with fog and rain clouds giving them some cover. Forever Boy has reached Ship A, flying near it. Everyone else is inside. The flying Sky-Pirate ships are approaching from above. Ship A is about 1000 feet away at this point, and Ship B about 3300 feet away at this point, but approaching rapidly. Both are about 200 feet above ground. A group of 5 pirates have appeared from a glowing light from the cannonball that managed to break through the dome. They're within the fog/raincloud cover that Thunderbird has created. @Cubismo, @Zeitgeist Blue, you're up. @Tiffany Korta, feel free to take your late action.
  19. Forever Boy Attack it was, then. Completely fine by Pan. The enemy ship was approaching quickly, and they had already managed to smash through Zenith's wall with their first cannonball. They would only keep up the barrage, unless they were given reason to aim elsewhere. "Get in close! Their cannons are slow change aim. The closer you get, the better your chance of evasion."/color] He made a quick pause, looking over at Salvo, he motioned to the Horologium. "I will try buy you some time to figure that out." And up and away, Pan flew, rushing right past Veronica, Micah, Corinne and Àjàṣorò, leaving a trail of glowing Pixie Dust behind him. He had his sights on the nearest ship. He could not waste any time. Find the jammer and disable it, that was the best plan he could think of right now.
  20. Forever Boy moves all out to fly as fast as he can towards Ship A, putting him at Defense 12 until next round.
  21. GM The small man with the large hat, the mayor as Gretchen had thought of him, looked up at Gretchen with wide eyes as she sunk into the ground before him, until only her head remained. "I-I... appreciate that. Thank you." He slowly lowered his cane, but still held it in his hand. He did not seem to trust Gretchen completely, and even with her head down at his height, he stopped a foot or two away from her, keeping his distance. He cleared his throat, straightened his clothes and looked at Gretchen. "Welcome to the Town of Liliput. I am Mayor Smalls. What brings you to our fair town? We are not quite used to giant women falling from the sky."
  22. Justice "Again?" This gave Robin a bit of hope, at least, even if Gretchen didn't really make it come across that way. She'd done this kind of thing before? Then she'd probably know what to do, at least. Good. That was great. Robin was all about finding out solutions, but she really wasn't that big on magic. "You've tried this before?" She trailed off a bit, falling silent, looking around while Gretchen went to talk to the little man with the way too tall hat. He fit in perfectly with everything else. Toy sized houses, toy sized man. Looked like a little doll. It was weird. She'd seen some magic before. She was wearing a magic necklace, for crying out loud, but this was just so very different. And then Gretchen sank into the ground like it was water, and that was just so weird. It was just like the ground wasn't there for her. Alright. Gretchen had powers, no question there. Robin was leaning towards her being more on the heroic side, at least. She might be a bit sour and grouchy at times, but she was ultimately a good person, right? And didn't seem to care much about showing Robin what she could do. She'd have to ask about that when she got the chance.
  23. Rebellion What the hell? Slowly, but surely, the doors screws were unscrewing themselves? Just what was going on? It was just one a time, moving ever so slowly, but moving nonetheless. Elliot had seen more than a few things as Rebellion, but this was just weird. Was someone else here? Trying to break into the same room at the same time? Another student? He didn't know of anyone that could turn invisible like that. This was so weird. Still, probably best to see what was going to happen. Rebellion took a step back, away from the door, standing with his back against the wall opposite of it, and waited.
  24. Let's see... A DC25 Notice for Rebellion to notice the screws being unscrewed sound good? 1d20+12 = 32 Aw, Elliot's first 20.
  25. GM One by one, the screws began to be unscrewed from the hinges on the frame. It was not a quick task, but it was suitable, at least. One by one, the screws would come out, and the door would soon be able to be opened. The question was if someone would notice the screws being moved away or not. And when the door was opened.
