"HA! Awesome! I knew that'd work!" Alright, Robin wasn't really sure that it would work, but she had been confident that she could get it to work. Just wasn't sure it would go this fast. "Hey, no need for the bombs yet. I've got the killbots shut down. Let's figure out how to shut everything down first, right?" She really hoped that Jones would listen now. After all, she had proven she could take out a horde of killbots without lifting a finger now, right? That had to count for something. Aaand... just as important, how was that transfer going?

GM "Brilliant!" The alien horse man was obviously excited, moving his hand to his belt, he pushed a button, a shimmering golden gate appearing before them. "Move fast, now!" He waits for Mona, who would probably be into the portal already, then follows. And then, she is somewhere else, which is clearly not the Earth. Mona was met with a rainbow of color. They seemed to be in outer space, with a dark area above and around them, filled with stars in all imaginable colors. Super novas and galaxies were visible around them, moons and planets, and the sky surrounded them was absolutely filled with spaceships. As for her feet, Mona found herself standing on a large golden platform in outer space, but without any need to breathe or gasp. It was connected to similar platforms, all perfect circles, with golden pathways. On each of the portals, she saw beings like the alien horse man, joined by a colorful array of beings. Some seemed human, some were obviously not. A streak of living lightning, that zipped around its platform. A large rhino man, towering high above Mona. A glowing ball of light, glowing with black light, almost like it was sucking brightness in. What appeared to be man sized squid, with 8 arms and legs, glowing with an inner red glow. They were a rainbow of color, many dressed in red, yellow, orange or white, but many other colors as well. A quick count saw twenty other contestants. Mona would feel something familiar in them all. A need to run. "Why, yes, I do hope the others are faster than me!" Mona's horse man said, as he spread out his arms to present the other contestants. "After all, I was just the invitation! Now, these are the contestants!"

GM "Perfect! Just the answer I was hoping for!" Rita replied, before entering, letting Nicole into the laboratory. Whether it was what Nicole expected or not, the laboratory was certainly huge. At least fifteen scientists were scattered in groups around the room, huddled around screens, tables with plans. Three men were walking around a group of large containers, seemingly made from some kind of see through plastic, placed at one end of the room. They were at least ten feet tall and six feet wide each, but Nicole couldn't see what was in them from her current position at the entrance to the laboratory. Placing a hand over her mouth, Rita coughed loudly, getting the attention of most, but not quite all, of the men and women in the room. "Everyone, this is Nicole. Nicole, everyone. C'mon kid, introduce yourself." The laboratory was certainly impressive, that much was sure. Screens, 3D printers, what appeared to be very very tiny tools placed neatly on a table, the large containers that Nicole would quickly have noticed, and, now that she was fully in the room, ten cages with red-eyed white mice.

GM Elysium Academy, Emerald City May 16th, 2019 11:30 PM Elysium Academy was as silent as one would expect during the night. The students, for the most part, knew better than to cause trouble, less they risk a punishment. And a pair of students were sneaking through the night, each independent of the other. They had both overheard Mr. Stark with Doctor Trine during lunch. Something about some important correspondence from "you-know-who". Very vague, sure, but also a potential clue. One that could lead to freeing students... or perhaps to the conspiracy behind the academy and the city itself? Neither knew the identity of the other. Neither of the two even knew that there were other rebels among Elysium Academy, but it seemed that on this night, Omen and the Bronze Hornet were about to learn.

GM "Impressive. And its not even your field, right?" Rita was positively beaming, as she held her keycard up to open a door. While Nicole had been talking, the elevator had reached their destination, they had exited it and Rita had led Nicole down a hallway, past a number of labs. All had been filled with various equipment and researchers hard at work, completely visible through the glass walls. Now, they had reached what appeared to be Lang's own lab, the door quickly sliding open. "I knew I made the right choice with you." "My research is primarily in the medical field." Rita switched to all business now. "Attacking diseases directly, mending things that are broken. Quick, painless, efficient. No more being sick, no more not remembering your own children." She paused a bit, before entering. "We're close. Really close."

GM Corner of Kissinger and Michigan, Southside, Freedom City May 15th, 2019 9 AM The morning had been slightly chilly when the homeless shelter near on Kissinger had opened its doors, the attendants gently prodding the homeless back out into the streets, at least until the night. The small shelter had barely any funding, only enough to offer beds to sleep in during the night, with nothing but a padlock keeping the doors closed during the day. Still, even if the morning had been chilly, the day promised to be warmer, and the sun was bright in the sky. One might even suspect that it could be a good day, living in the street or not. And yet, the men and women that left the Kissinger shelter seemed downcast and paranoid. Most stayed together, huddled in groups, looking down every alley they came past. It was not without cause. The homeless population of Southside has slowly, but surely, been thinning during the last few months. Screams in the night, disappearances during daylight. And yet, none had seen the kidnappers. It was just homeless people disappearing, and the police cared little. But maybe the homeless of Southside did not need the help of the law. Maybe they needed a different kind of justice.

Danish Super Humans The number of known Danish super humans are low, even given the country's size. The small size has led to a a relatively close knit community, but with little in the way of way of the traditions of the North American super humanity. While the country has produced relatively few super villains, the Danish super heroes are still kept busy, dealing with attacks from foreign super villains that try to stake their claim in Denmark or threats from their country's mythology. History Denmark's heroic history stretches into the past, to the time of the vikings and beyond. Before the time of the Pact, the Aesir would walk their lands, or stride across their sky. Magic ran its course, creating heroes and monsters both, with Elves, Trolls, Giants and more living through the lands. Their tales would be told by the skjalds, but most were lost as Christianity took hold. Of particular note of this era was Holger Danske, also known as Ogier the Dane. A powerful warrior, a hero once in the service of Charlemagne, he would eventually retire to the catacombs of Castle Kronborg, where he turned to stone. Time and time again, when Denmark has been in need, Holger Danske has returned to fight for his country. In the 19th century, the author as H. C. Andersen discovered the power of the fairy tale. He created manuscripts that held the power of his stories. He intended to use the stories to create heroes and wonders, but when he saw the horror of a man using the power of the Snow Queen to freeze Øresund, he decideed it would be better to hide the books and the power they contained. While some were hidden in Denmark, where they would be used by future champions, H. C. Andersen travelled across the world, scattering his works across the globe. Prior to 1940, Denmark had few super humans, but still more than this day. All that changed when Nazi Germany invaded Denmark in 1940. Though the country's super human defenders fought valiantly, they, along with their country, were defeated by the superior Nazi Übersoldaten within hours, and the country capitulated. The known Danish super humans subsequently surrendered to the occupying force to prevent them from bombing Copenhagen. The few remaining Danish super humans went into hiding, fighting secretly against the Nazi occupiers as part of the Danish resistance groups. Holger Danske would return to fight the Nazi occupation time and again during the war. Most, if not all, of the Danish super humans were killed during the occupation. In the years since, leading up to the modern era, few super humans revealed themselves. More often than not, they would be villains, but often than not, it would be handled by local authorities, or with the aid of UNISON. It was not the year 2000 that super humans began to appear in earnest in Denmark, though still in far lower numbers than other Western nations, beginning with the debut of the Little Mermaid on Christmas Eve the same year. Following the heroine's appearance, both heroes and villains would begin to to appear in the country. Notably, Denmark saw a greater appearance of mythological beings than many other creatures, with beings such as giants and trolls making their presence known once again. With the number of Danish heroes still low, their efforts stretched thin across the country, the Danish government decided to charge Anders Lund, the country's leading genetist to focus his research on what he has dubbed the "super-gene", to create their own super heroes. While so far, Lund has been succesful, several nefarious organizations, including S.H.A.D.O.W., has taken an interest in the research. Denmark is under attack by opportunistic foreign super villains, an ever rising number of mythological beings making their presence known, shadowy organizations having designs on the country's fledgling experiments to create super humans and is relatively close to Talos' Rurland. With all the perils that seem to plague Denmark, is it any wonder that Holger Danske's throne at Castle Kronborg now stands empty? Notable Persons and Organizations Beowulf: A mythological Danish hero, who fought and killed the Grendel, the Grendel's Mother and more at some point between the 8th and 11th century. Danish Dynamite: A well meaning, but ultimately ineffective Danish hero, active since 2013. The former soccer player uses his heightened agiliy and strength to fight primarily smaller scale crime, having had little success against super human enemies. Elverkongen: The Elf King. The king of the mythological and fairy tale Elves that live just beyond the sight of the world of man. From his throne he reigns supreme, sending Elf Maidens out to steal whatever catches his fancy. A powerful player in the world of myths, he follows a strict code of honor. Last reported active in December 2018, where the New Orleans native hero Lament saved a group of children from his grasp. Grendel & Grendel's Mother: The enemies of Beowulf, a powerful giant humanoid monster and his mother. Despite their defeats and supposed deaths at the hands of Beowulf and others, they have reappeared several times throughout history, most recently being involved in Lament's conflict with Elverkongen in December 2018. H. C. Andersen: 1805-1875. Danish author, known primarily for his fairy tales. He created a number of books, sources of power based on his fairy tales, that he has hidden around the world, with a few located in Denmark. These true editions now empower a number of Danish and international heroes and villains. Holger Danske: Also known as Ogier the Dane. Holger, son of King Gudfred, served as one of the Twelve Knights to the French King Charlemagne, wielding the sword Curtana. He led the French to victory against the Saracen, where he defeated the giant Brehus in single combat. As a wandering knight, he travelled across Europe before he returned to Denmark. At Castle Kronborg, he sat on his throne, where his body would turn to stone, appearing as if he was a statue that bore the inscription: "When Denmark is in peril, then Holger Danske will awaken". Throughout history, Holger has risen from his slumber when he was needed, only to return to his throne once his work was complete. He was last confirmed active during World War Two, aiding the Danish resistance groups against the Nazi occupation, before returning to the throne. Now, as Denmark is besieged by enemies from without and within, is it any wonder that Holger's throne stands empty once more? Jens Vejmand: The protector the free town of Christiania, keeping it safe from outside interference. Vague and mysterious, he has acted as a guru and leader of the free town since he first appeared in 2008. His powers are as mysterious as his identity and origin, he has so far demonstrated levitation, force blasts of unknown energy, the ability to instill illusionary images, sounds, scents and feelings. He will often travel across Denmark, always walking by the road, appearing at his destination far faster than he should be able to. Jormundgandr: The Midgard Serpent. The God Killer. From before the Pact was sealed, it encircled the world. Its reach is far, in the minds and hearts of men. It seeks only Ragnarok. King Crab: A rogue Atlantean pirate with gargantuan mechanized crab armor. Since at least 2015, King Crab that has started attacking Danish transport ships and harbors, among other maritime targets in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. He seems to have a particular fixation on the Little Mermaid II, often comparing her to her mentor. Little Mermaid I: Formerly Denmark's premiere super hero, active from Christmas Eve 2000 until Christmas Eve 2017, where she was succeeded by Little Mermaid II. She could breathe under water and manipulate water, sing siren songs and, upon entering water, she would grow a mermaid's tail, allowing her to swim at incredible speeds. She was a known as a kind and loving heroine. Little Mermaid II: The successor of Little Mermaid I, she tries her hardest to live up to her predecessors legacy. Possessing the same powers, she seems to be physically stronger than the first Little Mermaid, but still has a lot to learn. Active since Christmas Eve 2017, she patrols the Danish seas and coasts. A beloved heroine. Lund Biovidenskab (Lund Life Sciences): Denmark's premiere genetic research division, funded and rund by Anders Lund, one of the most advanced biological laboratory facilities in Europe. Focusing on studying the genetic make up of super humans, the scientists and researchers of the group race against time to create Denmark's first artificially created super humans in an attempt to stave off the super human threats to the country. While so far unsuccesful, the group is making progress, and to most, it is only a matter of time before they succeed. Several shadowy organizations have shown interest Lund Biovidenskab, including S.H.A.D.O.W. and Labyrinth. Metalhead: A super villain, active since June 2009, where his powers first manifested during his attendance as the yearly Roskilde music festival. His entire body appears to be composed of an unknown metal alloys, including softer areas, such as eyeballs, eardrums, tongue and more. He is able to absorb machinery and weapons into his body through touch, becoming stronger and able to accomplish new feats in the process. After causing trouble in Denmark for years and being defeated by the Little Mermaid I and the Snow Queen in several incidents, he left Denmark for greener pastures in 2015, after being defeated in his first encounter with Jens Vejmand. He has since worked as a villain for hire across the globe. Snow Queen: Denmark's most powerful hero, the Snow Queen is able to create ice and cold, manipulate temperatures and freeze the hearts of men. A police officer, Julie Mikkelsen gained the powers of the Snow Queen after finding one of H. C. Andersen's true fairy tales. She is at the moment Denmark's only super hero without a secret identity, still working as a police officer, enjoying all the resources and fame that comes with her job and powers. A Danish celebrity, she travels across the country to aid where she is needed. Active since the January 2010.

Kill. Right. Now that sounded like a good idea, if it referred to the killbots, at least. But... these things didn't really seem to be using any weird kinds of power, did they? That was probably good. And the gun didn't work. "Ha! Hey, look at that! They're not even finished!" Hopefully, that would make Jones stop blowing things up, and give a chance to finish the transfer and make sure he didn't take out the entire city. Because, c'mon, even Jones had to admit that was a bad idea. So, the entire system here. It seemed way overloaded, if the killbots couldn't even get power for their weapons, which one had to suspect would be their most important and prominent feature. The entire power system was just a mess, but, she could do that. Leaning in close, she got to work. Parts of her armor could maybe work, maybe the gun... time to give them a headache, at least!
-
Gonna try to give the system a power surge. What roll would you like?

GM "Want you...?" The leader didn't really sound like he knew how to process what Captain Cosmos was asking of him. "SHUT UP! I GOT A GUN! I WILL SHOOT!" Most of the other gunmen had lowered their weapons by now, and was kind of awkwardly letting the hostages they had been holding go. But not the last one, no. He seemed as defiant as ever. The leader still seemed confused, then pointed up at him. "Alright, alright! I want you to stop him! That guy will end up shooting someone! C'mon!"

Keeping a mind that its not your specialty, you'd know the rough basics of nanomachines: Very tiny machines, that can be programmed for a variety of purposes. They have not seen much use in either public or private sectors yet, having been a mostly theoretical science, that has now evolved into an emerging technology. There are theories that they can be used to do anything from 3D printing to biochips, nanoassembly, use in medicinal fields and more. All the information you had been able to find on Dr. Lang kept her actual area of expertise for nanomachines intentionally vague.

GM "Yep, pretty standard stuff. Gotta keep the lawyers happy." Rita was rocking a bit back and forth, from her heel to her toes, while Nicole read the NDA. Once she had finished signing and clipped on the visitor's pass, Rita started gesticulating towards the nearest elevator. She barely even seemed to acknowledge that the receptionist was there. She let out a quick laugh at Nicole's question. "No, no. Its great, and its grand, but I'll let you decide for yourself. Some people just doesn't seem to understand why what I'm doing here matters, and some seem to do, so, I'll let you decide whether its worth dropping your jaw or not. But yeah, I've been working on this for years, and I think it'll be ready soon." Rita winked at Nicole while she pressed the button, then paused, before asking her own question. "So, tell me, what do you know about nanomachines?"

GM As the clouds began to gather and the rain began to fall, the group outside would hear a whistling sound. Or rather, a pair of sounds. Like two projectiles hurling towards them at great speed, flying through the air. Inside, the group could see just that, smoke rising from the ships where their cannons had been fired. To those with enhanced senses, it was clearly more than just lumps of iron and metal. Intricate designs were woven into the cannonballs, glowing with a bright red light that left trails behind them, even as the speed of the projectiles made the exact designs impossible to see. The group gathered outside barely had time to react before the cannonballs slammed into Zenith's barrier, the impact shaking the entire thing, leaving behind a gaping hole.

GM The squids were, as far as they could tell, absolutely terrified, absolutely glowing yellow now. They all snapped to attention, huddled around each other as they were, one weakly pointing further into the ship at the question. The one that had pointed started flashing. Duller and brighter, shifting through much of the color spectrum. It was difficult, but Aquaria understood, at least. They are further in the ship. I will show the way. Please do not hurt us anymore. It paused, flashing more colors in response to the question of its comrade. He hid. He was scared.

Well, the Nazis were clearly looking for something here. Cassidy was the first to admit that he had no idea what any of the weird Atlantean text on the walls meant, or what the Nazis were saying for that matter, but he was not going to let that get in the way. They were Nazis in full uniforms, and you didn't try to reason with Nazis. Even if they weren't exactly the pure white and blonde Nazi stereotype that he'd expect, but did it really matter? And then Tsunami decided to make her move. The water rose up, blocking the path and she stepped into the light, addressing the Nazis. Right, no issue there. The question was how would they react? Cassidy had an advantage here. While Tsunami might have announced herself, he was still hidden, and if the Nazis proved hostile? Well, better to get into the right position, then. The sand moved across the floor, as if a wind was blowing. Slowly, almost impossibly, moving in between the men, right in the middle of the group. Time to see what they'd say to Tsunami, then decided on what to do.
