  1. Justice Emerald Spider wanted to team up? With her? Robin quickly held a hand over her mouth, suppressing the squee that almost got out. Oh, this was so awesome! Beyond awesome! "YES!" she finally let out, before managing to get just a bit more self control. "Err... I mean, yes. Yes, let's team up!" She didn't really have the benefit of a mask to hide her huge smile, not yet at least. Should she bring out hte armor? Show Emerald Spider what she had made? Or wait till it was necessary? Maybe that was better. It might even impress her! The thought of impressing her hero made Robin positively giddy. Deep breath. Calm down, just a little bit. "I've been out here, trying to find whoever's been kidnapping people. Figured I'd use myself as bait, but haven't seen anything yet."
  2. GM Inside the package was a small box. It hummed lightly, vibrating to the touch. Almost as if it was alive, or at least powered by something inside of it. The box itself was smooth, with rounded corners and edges, but beyond that, nothing that stood out in particular, except for a single button placed in the middle of one of the sides. Almost like the mark for the number 1 on a normal dice. It appeared to be made of some sort of plastic. Not bending to the touch, but it could probably be broken if enough force was applied.
  3. GM "Have you looked at my dress?" she said, motioning down to her probably expensive dress. "What do you think this will look like if I go crawling in there? She paused for a moment, frowning. "Alright. Fine. I get your point." If Betty had any secrets, she was not too keen on sharing. "But I'll need a boost. And no peeking." If he complied, she would crawl up into the ventilation duct, cursing to herself all the while, in some rather colorful phrases.
  4. Sure, makes sense. +1 HP for Sea Devil! That's a hit. Guessing you're using the Trident's Strike, so DC27? Toughness: 24 A bruise for the Squid Leader. I'll go after your IC.
  5. Reflex: 1d20+8 = 20 Justice remains awesome! And we can all agree that she's watched too much television for trying something like that!
  6. GM The big man took the hit from Liam head one, groaning in pain, but otherwise not seeming all that bothered. He seemed like he was about to say something, if he even could, or at least like he was about to do something. With a loud twang, Ronin took his shot, which hit the large cultist in the left shoulder, passing right by Liam's head. Another grunt of pain and discomfort as the cultist took a single step back, trying to gather his wits. Things were obviously not going well for either him or his companions, and he seemed to be starting to realize it.
  7. That's a hit, and Toughness roll = 11 I'll veto that to just being a bruise instead of stagger, just to keep him in the battle a bit longer, so +1HP for Ronin. 31 - Ronin - Uninjured - 2HP 24 - Lady Horus - Uninjured - 0HP 24 - Wadjet - Uninjured 24 - Cultist 1 (Illusion Creator) - Uninjured, Grappled 21 - Cultist 2 (Big Brute) - Bruise (x3) 12 - Mr. Strix - Shaken - 2HP 10 - Cultist 3 (Shadow) - Unconscious 7 - Dr. Thorne - Uninjured - 2HP @Avenger Assembled, you're up!
  8. And a crit too! But sadly, he got immunity to crits! Toughness Roll vs DC23 = 22 Another bruise! Current situation around the room: The Cultist 2 (the big cultist) is blocking the doorway into the room. Ronin has reached outside the room and shot at Cultist 2. Liam is in front of Cultist 2, punching. Cultist 3 (the Shadow cultist) is on the floor, between Cultist 2 and Lady Horus. Dr. Thorne is outside the room as well, and Wadjet is in the hallway, having taken a shot. Cultist 1 is in the room, being grappled by Mr. Strix. 31 - Ronin - Uninjured - 1HP 24 - Lady Horus - Uninjured - 0HP 24 - Wadjet - Uninjured 24 - Cultist 1 (Illusion Creator) - Uninjured, Grappled 21 - Cultist 2 (Big Brute) - Bruise (x2), Dazed 12 - Mr. Strix - Shaken - 2HP 10 - Cultist 3 (Shadow) - Unconscious 7 - Dr. Thorne - Uninjured - 2HP @Supercape, you're up!
  9. Keep 'em off his back? Not happening. Not right now, at least. Jones was gone in a matter of seconds, shooting down the elevator shaft, and to be honest, Robin kind of wished she had a grappling gun right about now. She had to finish work on that utility belt, and soon. Use Terrifica's advice for something good, at least! She couldn't just follow him down there, and she kind of doubted that calling the elevator would help, so what was she going to do? Robin could think of one idea. It was crazy. Absolutely bonkers. No way, not something she should do. And yet... She ran, heading straight for the elevator shaft. She couldn't hesitate, she had to be fast if it was going to work. Jumping, she tried to grab on to the cable, and was very thankful for how armored the suit was, as she would start sliding down the cable as fast as she could, before Jones detached it however he would do that. He had a headstart of a second or two, but she hoped to get as far down as possible before he detached.
  10. Give me a Diplomacy or Bluff roll, whichever you think fits better!
  11. GM The room was indeed spartan, as was the kitchen. There were little food to be found. Some rice in an open package, a few bags of chips. Nothing healthy. Some cookware, including a casserole, a pot and a single pan. Forks, knives, spoons, plates, glasses. What you would expect to find in a kitchen, at least. There was nothing below the counter, nothing hidden above. Not as far as the Seeker could sense or find, at least. Under the fridge was another matter. There was a small package, maybe 4 by 4 inches squeezed under it. It held something hard, clearly not just paper. It felt like a small box, about 2 by 2 inches, maybe half an inch tall.
  12. Hey Bingo, just a heads up to make OOCs quicker reads: Most players usually just put something like: 1d20+10 = 30, or just the results of the roll, so 30, with a link to the roll that was made. Up to you, of course, its not a requirement, as long as there's a link! And let's see what you find!
  13. Well, the ploy worked, Oswald was useful yet again, conjuring a violet portal that spat lightning. And then he fell into it. Wonderful. Quite wonderful. A way out at least, though where it led was as great a mystery as the world they were in, and Pan had not exactly been lucky with portals this day. Oh well. "Master Boddyflock, I believe that a strategic retreat is in order! Here, let me help with your men!" Quickly flying over, he picked up as many of the Fae as he could, motioning for the others still standing to do the same, then quickly flew into the portal.
  14. GM The entire ship shook with the wave of energy let out by Asad. While several of the squids waved around the energy, doing their best to avoid its effects or otherwise managed to withstand the hit, five of them were caught in the force of the explosion, being blown back and slamming hard into the surrounding walls. While it was difficult to tell at a glance, the five appeared unconscious, the weapons floating out of their grasp and into the waters around them. Yet, the room still held 5 squids and their leader, all quickly deciding on targets.
  15. Jerk Squid Minions reflex saves: 10x1d20+6 = 23, 15, 21, 14, 8, 9, 26, 24, 16, 4 made it, rolling their toughness: 4x1d20+7 vs DC20 = 23, 24, 24, 20 All made it! Rolling for the 6 that didn't make the reflex save: 6x1d20+7 vs DC25 = 19, 11, 13, 11, 20, 12 5 squids down! Reflex for Squid Leader = 28 Made it. Toughness roll for Squid leader, vs DC20 = 30 So, 5 out of 10 squid minions down in one hit, and @Avenger Assembled is up! 28 - Sgt. Shark - 1 HP - Undamaged 19- Asad - 3 HP - Undamaged 18 - Sea Devil - 2 HP - Undamaged 12 - Squid Jerk Minions x5 - Undamaged. 5x - KO 8 - Squid Jerk Leader - Bruise (x1)
  16. Tried giving you a great opening line for that!
  17. Pan stood firm in the air, simply crossing his arms before his chest, his lips remaining split into a devilish grin. Show no fear. Show no hesitation. Do not waver in resolve, or in confidence. The few tricks and rules that had gotten him this far, that had granted him his unwavering confidence, even as Nicole cursed him from his side. He did not turn to look at her, not yet at least. The battle was not yet lost, and the demon had yet to attack. Salvo was too hasty in defeat, had too little faith in him. He could hardly blame her, given their past encounter, but then again, she knew nothing of who he was. He just smiled, staring straight into the eyes of Baal. He quite literally spit up the three that had been captured, and cursed them once more, declaring that they had made an enemy on this day. Before the demon disappeared, Pan bowed to the demon from his position in mid-air, his head held high and his eyes fixed on the demon. "And the traitors do appear, we will tell them of this day, and what happened here, and perhaps they will wonder who to fear the most: Baal, or the ones that made him run?" And then the demon was gone, and Mike was shouting and singing their praises and doing a very bad job at lying. While Nicole was quick to land and pull Mike up by the hair, Pan descended in a slower motion, eventually hovering just a foot above the ground, his arms crossed as he looked down at Nicole, not really acknowledging Mike or his friends quite yet. "Well, you did tell me that you trusted me. I could hardly let you down after such a rousing vote of confidence." He was happily smiling. Pan honestly wasn't sure if he had ever pulled a trick like this before, or if he would be able to again. With a frown, he turned his attention to Mike and his friends. "As those three and the would-be traitor... No, I quite agree. No need for any baby gloves." His eyes were glaring daggers at Mike. He was not one to get physically rough, like Nicole was proving at the moment, but he was not about to let them off the hook either. "Do you even understand what you have done? Not your friends, they were merely fools that trusted you. Mere pawns. You were the catalyst for all this, for bringing a demon to this place. What did you honestly think would happen? That no one would notice? I believe you are lucky that it is just the three of us here. No matter what punishment Nicole is thinking of, it will be light compared to what the teachers will do." No, he did quite agree with Nicole on this one. He might be friendly, and might often play the fool, but he saw no need with Mike.
  18. Good luck Zeit!
  19. It was great! I'll have at least one more post for tomorrow, but great if Heritage can bring the cavalry!
  20. GM She didn't really seem to buy it, but Betty followed along anyway, doing her best to slip on the vest. "Here," she said, handing Buddy a pair of handcuffs. "Cuff him to hte sink or something so he doesn't cause anymore trouble." She nodded along, agreeing with Buddy's assessment. "Yep, its what I gathered too. They're amateurs at best, but if anything, that just makes them even more dangerous. No telling waht they will do." There was no windows, but Buddy found himself looking at a ventilation duct above the middle of the room. It was somewhat wide. Wide enough for Betty to fit, at least, even if Buddy couldn't, but she was already protesting the moment she saw his gaze linger. "No no! No way, Buddy! You're not geting me to crawl through that!"
  21. And off he stomped, leaving Robin behind. He had a point, yeah. And it made her kind of angry that he did so. If he was creating trouble, she could probably make her way in here easier, but what if he started hurting people? She couldn't let that happen, could she? She needed the evidence to help Anna, to get rid of this place, but should she do something like that? It would be the easiest way to do it, but... Damn it. She couldn't take the easy way. Not if it meant someone getting hurt. And while Robin had been debating what to do, Jones had already moved down. How did he even know about secret labs downstairs, anyway? But those were what she would go for, anyway! So, as well as she could, Robin followed, dashing down the stairs after Jones. She would have to figure out what to do once she got there.
  22. Wait. Antibodies? Pan had learned something about the human body in the classes at Claremont, and antibodies just wished to protect a body from outside attacks. So, the entire mountain was a body? They were inside something that was really alive? "This is just plain disgusting, is it not?" he asked no one in particular, while flying down to be closer to the others. Oz was a wizard, alright. Could probably get them out. But he was not all there this moment, was he now? Alright then, no more fooling around for the wizard. He flew to Oswald. "Oh no, Mr. Teacher! I am not sure I remember how to do the spell to move everyone around us to another location. Do you suppose you could demonstrate?"[/color]
  23. Do things proper? Yeah, of course! Not like Robin would be able to change things if she didn't! "Talking? Yeah, if that works, but I'm guessing it won't for these people. Problem is, if you just smash things, they'll rebuild, come back bigger, better and badder, and ready for when you try again. You wanna bring them down for good, you gotta find evidence! Bring it to the cops, the news, whichever. Not just smash things up." Alright, she tried, but she could already see it wasn't about to work. Jones didn't seem like the kind of guy to change his mind in any way. She felt she had to try, and despite everything else she had learned... she wasn't about to take the first shot. Not if she could talk him down. "So, we work together. Find evidence of everything we can, all the wrong they're doing there. How's that sound?" No, didn't sound plausible at all to Robin either.
  24. GM The woman paused, after climbing out from the tub. "Alright, you got a point there," she admitted. Straightening her dress, the woman moved over to lean down next to Buddy as he searched the gunman. "Just call me Betty, alright? You hit pretty well for a newsman, Buddy. You're some kind of two fisted reporter?" She was smiling brightly, revelling a bit in the victory. The gunman had a few items on him of note. A handgun, a rifle, along with extra ammunition for each. A cell phone, and not a cheap one either, connected to a bluetooth headset. Whoever had outfitted these gunmen, they had not believed in old school radios to keep them in touch, apparently. He was wearing a bulletproof vest. Nothing that could really identify him. "I'll take that one," Betty said, reaching for the handgun. "So, you got us this far. Got a plan?"
  25. GM It took some effort, but with one final pull, the Seeker managed to break the lock on the window. It was cheap, like most of the building seemed to be, but then again, few expected to have break-ins at this altitude. So far, so good. No one had looked up from the street below, and if he looked inside, the Seeker could not sense anyone inside. The room appeared mostly empty, at least at first glance. There was a bed. A dresser by the wall. There was a single stove and a single table. An old refrigerator. A cheap place to live, probably. Two doors, one probably leading to a bathroom, the other to the hallway. Some papers seemed to be spread out over the table.
