U.F.O. 777 was getting closer to the Praetorian signal. It was sure of it. Everything was whirling past in hyperspace, a blur of the universe around it, but 777 knew what paths to take, knew how to track the system. It was excited? Was that the right emotion it was feeling right now? Alone for so long, then travelling the stars, but now finally, it might find the Praetorians again? Exiting hyperspace, 777 hovered above Draede III for a brief second before putting all power to its engines. It could track the signal much clearer now, as it broke through the atmosphere. So many signals everywhere, but the Praetorian vessel stood out! Yes, 777 was sure that this was excitement that it was feeling. It was a very exciting feeling to experience, as it soared directly over the battle, barely even noticing, coming to a complete stop right in front of the Praetorian ship and the Traveller.

Feel free to narrate that. You won't find anyone except for the heroes, the beat up security from earlier, and the cultists.

"Yes, yes, I am sure that you smelled all kinds of interesting things, used your nose for all kinds of interesting actions," Pan commented to Lorenzo, not quite agreeing with the idea to ingest any of the mushroom mountain, despite the strange sorcerer's wishes. And yet, Oswald proved to be far less resistant to such an action, seemingly agreeing to actually eat it. What a curious fellow he was. "Do you believe that to be the best course of action, Oswald?" he chimed in. "This is, after all, not just a fungus, but a mountain as well. It might be too heavy for the body." And Pan had still decided that he did not trust Lorenzo.

"Would you give it a rest already?" Yeah, Robin was just done with Kidd now. Justice and the law was not the same. She was more than aware of that, but what Kidd wanted to do wasn't Justice either. They had witnesses, and of course it would be Blowfish's word against theirs, and he had an army of lawyers and yeah, this probably wouldn't turn out that great, but she'd deal with it, somehow. Not quite sure how yet, but somehow. And Blowfish still didn't know about Amber, at least. "You're the cop, right? Maybe you should do your job and make sure that everything we found on Blowfish and Johns sticks, yeah? And would you cuff him already?" Her glare moved from Kidd to Blowfish, and she begun approaching. "Is there any chance any of you two won't try and hit me while I try to help him?" she asked, motioning towards the bleeding bodyguard. She wasn't a doctor or anything, but she could at least try. "And would someone call an ambulance already?" She should just leave, shouldn't she? That would be the smart thing to do here. Still, didn't feel right. Instead she approached the guard and kneeled down to try and stop his bleeding, hoping both Blowfish and Kidd would leave her alone while she did that.

GM The King paused for a mere moment, as he looked at the card, then flicked it towards Lament, the card landing directly at Lament's chest. And he stood, slowly approaching Lament. "Yes, you have lived up to your end of the bargain, mortal." Now, would the King keep his promise? Would he release the children? "Release the children." It appeared very much that he would, indeed. Applause filled the cave, the King's subjects seemed overjoyed to have him back with a smile on his lips. Then it quickly died as he turned again, while guards opened the gates. He moved, and he sat heavily on his throne once more. "You held true to your bargain, mortal. Know that you have my boon. Do not waste it."

Agreed to the no soul selling. Again, Pan's soul is worth much more than that. Let's see how the knowledge works out, and if nothing else, Pan can try to distract Baal to give everyone a cheap shot at him.

Alright, positions as they are now, as far as I think they are. Feel free to correct me if you think its different somehow. And sorry for not doing this in the previous post. Top floor, center of the building Inside the room that appears to be covered with ink: 3 cultists. Just outside: Mr. Strix Two floors below the top floor: About 160 feet from the Cultist room, counting moving around stairs inside the building Inside the room that you all lit on fire, which is on the side of the building with windows: Lady Horus Outside the room you all lit on fire: Ronin, Wadjet Somewhere between those two floors: About 60 feet from the Cultist room, counting moving around stairs inside the building Doctor Thorne, heading up towards Mr. Strix EDIT: Some more info: The Cultist room has a round table in the middle, with 3 books on it. The room itself is about 50x50 feet in size, with no visible features aside from the table. Everything else seems to be covered in hardened ink.

"Well, not really invisible," Pan felt that he had to at least try to make Penny feel a bit better about him using the same trick. "More like an image of us just not being here, I suppose?" It was true, honestly. It was a fun little trick, one of his favorites, and he would have it addressed properly. And he couldn't keep a laugh from his lips as Penny did something to Lorenzo that sounded like it hurt. Yes, that was magnificent. "I am afraid that the Black Rose is right. Singing will not quite do, it might give us away. Now, let us make haste!"

GM The guard quickly backed away with the children in his arms, quickly putting some distance between himself and the strange mortal that had come to their world. And then he saw the cards being thrown at his king, and he was almost ready to lunge at the Sultan of Sorrow! And he would have done so, had he not carried his own children in his arms! For his part, the king looked unimpressed as the cards were thrown, then outright hostile for a brief moment as they bounced off him. Aside from the one that stuck to his forehead. With a long fingered hand, he reached for the card, and he pulled it forward, glaring at it. Then saw the image. A King. And one of hearts. His lips started moving. Was this not the very reason that he had sent the mortal to Grendel's Mother? To bring back his tears, and his heart? And then, he laughed. It was a happy sound, it was a deep sound. No cold, no evil. Just pure joy.

Let's see how the King's sense motive goes against that: 1d20+20 = 30!

Robin held her breath. Kidd was just making things worse every time he opened his mouth, wasn't he? She didn't believe in death penalty. Killing in self defense, or with no other option? Maybe. She hoped she would never have to make a choice like that, but in this situation, there was no need to kill anyone, if everyone would just calm down, so maybe, just maybe, it would be nice if Kidd would just keep his mouth shut for just one moment. She was really starting to regret having trusted Kidd for even a moment. But Robin waited. The Wall was not a bad guy. His methods were bad, and maybe he belonged behind bars, but not like this. And she just couldn't deal with him, Kidd and Blowfish at the same time. He relented, he was about to leave, and then Kidd opened his mouth again. And the look in the Wall's eyes said everything. Robin was about to get ready. One more kick. Another blow to hopefully take him down. And then Kidd moved his gun, finally and the Wall bounced off into the hole in the floor. And now Kidd's gun was pointing in Robin's general direction. She turned to him, making no move to raise her gun, instead just glaring at him from behind the mask. "The death penalty's hardly universal, And at any rate, it is decided by a jury of peers, not by some maverick detective wanting to play judge, jury and executioner. Isn't that right, Kidd?" She really wasn't sure how Kidd would react if Jackson stopped filming. She had to be ready if he decided he didn't care anymore.

Pan was starting to feel younger, once more. Look the part, too. He grinned, marveling as the wrinkles faded from his hands. The golden Pixie Dust still illuminated the area around them. Imaginary or not, a dream or not, it was a nice thing to look at it. Victoria was free from her power, it seemed. And she feared what they would think of her? Pan frowned at the thought. Awful, her? No! Before he could reach her, Judy was by the child, kneeling and reassuring her... though Pan did not quite agree with the reassurance. He walked to her, waving off Dio's comment. "We might remember, we might not. This is hardly a normal dream, is it now? Besides, it appears that we have seen much about each other. Learned much that we did not know before." He might mean himself. He had not told many at Claremont about how long forever had been so far. It was not something he often thought necessary to bring up. Maybe he should have told his teammates, but he had hardly thought it necessary. And at the same time, Pan did not speak of only himself. He shot a pointed look at Ashley. He wished to learn more of what he had seen in her nightmare. He did not believe for even a second that the Raven was purely the child's imagination. But not right now. Right now, Victoria was in pain. He knelt down besides Judy, reaching out and placing a hand on her shoulder, a warm smile on his lips. "I could never think such of you, Victoria. You are my friend, and you made a mistake. It is as simple as that. Listen to Leroy, he has the right of it. Your powers are not a bad thing. it is not something you should hide away in some closet and throw the key away. They are a wonderful thing, one that you must one day learn to control, one that you may one day use to help the world. Just imagine what you could do. There are many that could use a hero in their dreams, after all."

GM Ronin As he watched, he could see the ink moving about in the container. It struggled, it tried to escape, and yet, it was trapped. Still, he could feel it moving against the container inside his coat. By the room With one brutal kick, Mister Strix splintered the wooden door, sending the remains falling into the room, while most of the outer frame was still held in place by the black substance. Everything inside the room was black, covered by the same hardened substance. Ink, most likely. Three grey robed persons stood in the center of the room. Strix had time to see them turning away from their initial position, turned against each other, each reading from a heavy book laid out on a round table before them. Now they turned to face Mr. Strix. Though their bodies might be covered by the robes he could see tattoos moving around on their faces.

GM The king's smile quickly faded, replaced by a frown. Mission completed or not, he was not about to give Lament the joy of having caught him. "No. Not at all. A mere yawn." He paused, and he could not keep the smile from his lips still. It was slight. A mere crook at the corner of his lips, but it was there, even as it was well hidden. "Perhaps... a final trick could do the deed." His voice had changed. It was no longer as uncaring, or as unfeeling, as it had been when Lament had first met him. He sounded amused, at least.

He just kept going. The Wall was strong, so strong, and while he was doing this the wrong way, Robin could symphatize with him. Blowfish had put the Wall and his people through hell. Luring them here with great promises, then forcing them into being criminals. He was standing up now, towering above her once more. And Kidd and Blowfish was encouraging her to bring the Wall down now? He looked like he was barely standing in the first place! Was this what she was going to do? Was this what she was all about? She had to try to stop him. Make him see reason. One last time. He had slowed down so much, maybe she could finally reach him. Make him stop this. "I don't want to beat you! When are you going to get that?" A guy bleeding on the floor. Blowfish with a barrel against his mouth. Robin trapped between a wall and a hard place. "All I wanted was to help all of you! Then you two!" Robin made sure to point Kidd out along with the Wall, "You two just had to go all murder happy! Killing someone is not any kind of justice! Not even someone as bad as Blowfish!" Robin took a step back from the Wall. She could feel the heat on her legs, could feel the engines whirring in her armor. "This is your last chance. Please just give up." How was he even still standing?

Pan had followed along, singing along with songs, but otherwise observing the land around them. Full of life, yet. Horrible, horrible life, for a lot of it. He saw the rot that infected everything, and he did not like what he saw one bit. No, this was the stuff of nightmares more than the stuff of dreams. Pixies, Fairies and Fae of all kinds should not live in a world such as this, but he could see how it would suit Lorenzo's needs. But to have a buddy made of fungus? That would be a bit of a horrible thing, would it not? To be honest, Pan was more interested in the adventure here. And maybe making sure that Lorenzo did not get quite what he wanted. Yes, that could always be an option down the road, depending on how he acted. For now, he would be content with simply mocking Lorenzo. "Or maybe, a little bit of Pixie Dust is better than science!" He stated, raising his hand and snapping his fingers. A brief flash of bright Pixie Dust, more for effect than anything else, then they all appeared to be gone, hidden behind a veil of nothing. An illusion of them simply not being there. Pan did like that little trick.

She is, I know, who is, who knows? Keeping track of Zenith and Corinne was a bit challenging, to tell the truth, but Pan was up for the challenge! Besides, he was having fun. And then Corinne brought over the food, and Pan's eyes went wide. It was a mountain of yellow and green and brown. So much of it. "Fell with the grace of a dancer, you mean." Pan grinned back, reaching out for one of the cups. He was thirsty. He had tried sodas before, but this seemed new. Something tasty too, he hoped. He looked into the cup quickly, to see the white colored, then raised it to his lips and drank. His eyes went wide as he put it down again. "This is great! Which one was it again?"

U.F.O. Flying through the colds of space, Universal Field Operative 777 could not help but wonder. It had been some time since it had reactivated, after the Central Intelligence had shut down, and it had yet to find a purpose. Much had changed since it had last been active, it seemed. It had been drifting. Floating to wherever something managed to attract its attention, observing, recording, doing as it was meant to do. And then, one day, it had caught the remnants of a Praetorian signal. Could it be true? Had the Praetorians managed to survive into this strange new future? Universal Field Operative 777 had been intrigued, and old commands had flooded its artificial mind. Commands remembered fondly. Feeling something about old commands had in itself been a strange feeling. It had now been searching for a while. The Praetorian signal had been faint, difficult to track, but 777 was not about to give up. It had nothing but time, after all. And then, there was something. Something else. Another signal. Definitely Praetorian! And close! For a moment, 777 hesitated. It could quickly reach the new signal, and it might indeed be the Praetorians, but what could happen? Much had changed for it since it had last seen a Praetorian. It was no longer just a drone. Would they accept it for what it was? Would they believe it still infected by the Central Intelligence? No, they did not know about that last part. And yet, old commands and memories resurfaced. Fighting alongside the Praetorians, as 777 had been programmed to do. It was fond memories. Much better memories than all the time alone, trying to repair itself. The course was clear. The navigation was programmed. The small drone activated its mighty engines, and in an instant, it was gone, heading for the source of the signal as fast as it could.
