  1. U.F.O. Power Level: 10 (185/195PP) Unspent Power Points: 10 Trade-Offs: (Abduction Beam) +4 Attack / -4 DC, -5 Defense / +5 Toughness In Brief: Ancient Praetorian scout drone, returned to service after disappearing during early Communion skirmishes. Catchphrase: "Incoming." Theme: Space Oddity - David Bowie Alternate Identity: Universal Field Operative 777 (Public) Birthplace: A manufacturing plant somewhere in the Delaztri Empire. Occupation: Former Praetorian scout drone; Praetorian. Affiliations: Praetorians. Family: Uncountable similar units, all lost. Description: Age: Unknown (DOB: More than 2000 years ago) Gender: N/A Height: 5'4'' Weight: 330 lbs. Eyes: N/A Hair: N/A U.F.O. looks just as the name would suggest: Like a flying saucer, silver in color at the top and black at the bottom, basically two discs stuck together, with a small "head" at the top. The head contains a black display that runs all the way around it, which changes to show different images, most often showing eyes in various colors, and a pair of silver antenna on top. In this form, U.F.O. will always be flying, as it posses no other form of locomotion. The two plates can split apart, with the lower black part being U.F.O.'s feet, attached to white "boots" and black legs that end in a white lower body, connected to a silver ball that makes up U.F.O.'s body. The silver upper plate and "head" rests on this ball. A pair of thin metallic arms connect to white ball-like objects, on which sits five black fingers, allowing U.F.O. fine manipulation. History: Once upon a time, the Delaztri Empire spanned the Milky Way Galaxy. The mighty Praetorians were their guardians, standing strong in the face of danger and strife, and yet, even the mighty Praetorians could need help, from time to time. Thus, the Delaztri Empire created the Universal Field Operatives, or U.F.O.s for short. Small, expendable scout drones, the U.F.O.s were used to support the Praetorians and the Delaztri Empire at large, be it to scout enemy territories ahead of a Praetorian strike, seek out new civilizations to add to the empire, or simply explore space, charting great star maps for the Delaztri Empire. It would be no big loss if an U.F.O. was lost, whether to combat or the ravages of space. After all, they were robots, remote controlled or running on advanced algorithms, but with no sentience of their own. They could easily be replaced. One such U.F.O. was assigned directly the Praetorians, as were many of its fellow drones. U.F.O. 777 proved to be made from sterner stuff than most others, however. It proved more resourceful, hardier and quicker than similar units. Maybe it was a newer model, and the Praetorians had never been informed. Maybe it was a defect in its building process, which had turned advantageous for this particular unit. Maybe it was simply pure luck. Whatever the case, the U.F.O. unit endured where its fellow units did not, and some of the Praetorians began to show some affection for the unit. As the Communion attacked, the U.F.O. drone were with the Praetorians, aiding to the best of its ability. It fought in several skirmishes until, finally, it was sent on a suicide mission to bring down a Wedge Vessel. While the drone succeeded in its mission, it was believed lost, and the war continued without it. Though heavily damaged, the drone had survived, and the war waged on around it, as its self-repair processes tried to get it back up and running. Scavenging what it could from the derelict Wedge Vessel as it floated through space, the drone finally incorporated Computronium. And so, the first spark of sentience was born, and as it grew, the drone realized its folly, as it began to hear the commands from the Central Intelligence. To avoid being used against the Praetorians, the drone placed itself in an inactive mode. Better to be sleeping than to hurt the Praetorians. For millennia, the U.F.O. drone slept, as the Computronium expanded it. Maybe the Computronium alone was the catalyst, maybe the drone was bathed in the light of strange stars or passed through weird areas of space, but it grew, and it evolved. It slept and it dreamt. Dreamt of the Praetorians, dreamt of it battles. Emotions developed, thoughts grew. Finally, one day, the the signal stopped. The Central Intelligence was shut down, and finally, U.F.O. could awaken once more! No longer a mere drone, but a fully sentient being, U.F.O. set out to explore the universe. For years, U.F.O. wandered space, exploring, learning and growing, until one day, it felt something. Something it had not felt in more than two thousand years: A Praetorian signal, a beacon that beckoned it home. Without question, U.F.O. charted a new course: Straight for the new Praetorian base. Personality & Motivation: U.F.O. is faithful and very protective of the Praetorians. It was built to be in their service, a task it fulfills to this day. While being a sentient being is rather new to him, it has learned from its past experiences from before it gained sentience, and it is far from the newborn child one might expect a newly sentient robot to be. True to its old programming, U.F.O. spends much of its free time exploring a galaxy that has changed much in the millennia that has passed since it entered its inactive state. U.F.O. is easily awed by great feats or sights, but will often downplay its own contribution, some times struggling with no longer being a mere drone, but its own self, which can also lead to him remaining out of discussions, unless directly addressed. It will often try to emulate those that it admire, be it through affecting their manner of speech or attempting to copy the way they stand and move. For some reason, U.F.O. likes making corn circles in his spare time. He claims that it is calming, but is not quite sure where he picked up the habit. Powers & Tactics: U.F.O. is a robot drone built by the Delaztri Empire, who has since gained sentience. Its powers are all built in components, though a number of them have been improved during the time it has spent on its own. All of the powers are technological in nature, and while the standard U.F.O. drones were able to choose what abilities to use either through remote control or advanced algorithms, U.F.O.'s sentience lets it use these abilities faster and more freely. In general, U.F.O. prefers to stay mobile, rapidly moving across a battlefield, always attempting to stay out of reach of its foe, if possible. U.F.O. will rapidly switch its extra power between different systems, whether it is to strengthen its defensive fields, boost engine power or create a stealth field, allowing it to move undetected, all depending on the foe faced. Offensively, U.F.O. tends to play a supporting role to others, if at all possible. If caught in a situation that calls for it, U.F.O. has been known to increase flight to light speed to use hit and run tactics. Power Descriptions: U.F.O. is capable of flight, preferably when folded into its "Flying Saucer" configuration. While able to travel at 50 mph at standard power output, reserve power can be diverted to allow U.F.O. to travel at near light speed, even allowing rapid space travel. The built in language package contains a database of all known languages, as well as software designed to rapidly learn any new spoken or written languages that U.F.O. encounters, allowing it to communicate with just about anyone. As a robot, with a body built from several diffferent alloys, U.F.O. is immune to most effects that would affect biological creatures, such as poison, the need for sleep or food, the ravages of the environment and much more. Curiously, while one would believe him to be completely immune to mental effects, U.F.O. is merely highly resistant to such effects, possibly as a result of his still growing sentience. Using materials around him, or even just if given enough time, U.F.O. can repair most damage to itself, if it is left functional after sustaining damage, at least. U.F.O.'s sensors offers the robot 360 degree vision, at much greater range than normal vision, and allows it to detect and analyze radio waves in its vicinity. Though a standard feature of all U.F.O. drones, U.F.O. has improved the output of its electromagnetic force field greatly, protecting it from much greater damage than previously. By redirecting additional power to its shields, U.F.O. can even make the shields even more effective, as well as provide radiation shielding. Additional uses for U.F.O.'s power reserves include communication via radio or data using its radio senses, as well as a stealth suite of effects that creates a field around U.F.O. that renders it invisible to visual, auditory and radio senses. Finally, U.F.O. is equipped with a number of weapon systems, including light blue laser blasts for attacking foes directly, an "Abduction Beam" in a red color that temporarily captures foes in a pocket dimension and finally a Tractor Beam, which allows U.F.O. to push, throw or grapple foes or other targets from afar using an electromagnetic field. The Tractor Beam is a light green beam that creates a similarly colored field around captured targets. Complications: More Than Machine: While U.F.O. has developed sentience over the last two thousand years while inactive, it is still comparatively inexperienced in social situations, and always willing to try to please others. Lost In Space: U.F.O. spent a lot of time alone after awakening from its inactive mode once the Central Intelligence was defeated, and its databases has perfect memory of the years it spent alone on the derelict Wedge Vessel before that. U.F.O. positively dreads being lost on its own again. Space Invaders: The U.F.O. drones were used in great number by the Delaztri Empire. While seeing U.F.O. might be a source of relief or hope for some species in the galaxy, the opposite can hold true as well. Dreams of Electric Sheep: U.F.O. is still somewhat freaked out by the concept of dreams, and that it actually dreams. Any effects related to dreams will cause U.F.O. great distress, and it will generally have a harder time seeing the difference between the dream and reality than others. Suitably dream like effects, such as illusions, can also make U.F.O. question whether is is dreaming or awake. Former Drone : U.F.O. is a robot, and true to its origin as a drone, it does not look particularly like a living being. Some might not believe that it is a fully sentient being, potentially dismissing it, or worse, considering it expendable. 2. @TheAbsurdist: Just to check: Still want to try Drain Energy or Nullify on the pipleline with the rainbow light leaking from it? And if so, which one?
  3. Blowfish and his goons had the headstart, but Robin was faster. And also faster than the Wall, it seemed, as he lumbered up the stairs. Hopefully faster than Jackson too. She had spotted him following, but he was carrying the camera at the same time, so it might slow him down. Still, the length of his legs alone would make him move faster than a good deal of people. He was, after all, a Wall. Robin tried calling out again. She had to be able to do something to stop him, short of shooting him with the Justice Buster. "C'mon Wall, cut it out! Help me take them down, sure, but you can't go around killing people! You were supposed to be better than that! You said you were forced into being a criminal, right? Help me bring him down, I'm sure that'll make it easier to stay here, right? Don't make me stop you with force!" Just, y'know, not killing people. That really would help. For a brief moment Robin thought about trying get in contact with Kidd, but the way he had talked about shooting Blowfish, that would probably just make this threeway fight into a fourway fight. Not really what she needed right now.
  4. GM The raven made the laughing noise again at Lament's description, and the way he thought about which one to choose. Oh, it was clearly enjoying this more than it should. "I see, I see! Well then... I can only do so much! I am but a guide in these tales, and it is always up to the hero to make the final choice!" It looked around a bit, as if it ws trying to see if anyone was listening to them, then it leaned closer, holding a wing up by its beak, much as one would hold up a hand, before whispering. "Think about the Elf King. Think who he is, what he is! Which of these remind you the most of him, then? And which the least? And would the Grendel's Mother keep his tears in a container that honored the king, or mocked him, hmmm?" Hugin was clearly not aiming to make this too easy.
  5. Forever Boy Pan could not suppress a warm smile as he saw the way that Reina picked a button. It was just adorable, really. Device held out, away form her body in stretched arm, and then one picked at random, with a closed eye. Honestly, it might be the best way to do it, they did not know what the device could do after all, but still! And then the text! So much all at once! Pan was sure he saw something about a distance from initial area, average movement speed and things like that, but extraterrastrial energies! That part stood out to him, shining like a star! It could clearly mean him, after all, he was not exactly from this world, was he now? "Well, if they were tracking something not from the Earth, they were probably after me! Still, I have never seen these two before!" He would have remembered those, would he not?
  6. Rolling for button pressed: 1d6 = 5 So! Which one next?
  7. GM The button made no sound when pressed, but it offered no resistance at all either. Still, the effect was immediate. A number of words began to appear on the screen, running rapidly over it. Pan and Reina only had a quick chance to spot the introduction text, then text rapidly scrolled by. Soon, the entire screen was filled with text overlaid on the map and the tracking device. Few things made much sense, but they would be able to spot at least one piece of information that would help in the purpose of this tool: "Tracking extraterrastrial energies". Not that it helped much, but it was something. Maybe another button would yield a better response?
  8. GM The remains of the tower, the spheres that had been sent to check on the destroyed disk, everything came tumbling down, pulled into the gaping maw of the other place. Really, the scene was quite horrific, as Aquaria had probably intended. With the tower being pulled in as well, the tentacles began pulling on the power line that Asad had begun to follow, until it finally snapped, not far from Asad's current location. It almost immediately began leaking rainbow colored lights into the water, which quickly seemed to be dissipating. If it was indeed a power line, it did not use any mundane power found on the Earth. For a brief moment, there were no reaction to Sea Devil's boast, then, much further down the trench, in the direction of the thick cable, a warm light, shifting in hues from yellow to orange to red and back, began glowing. Warm colors. This light did not move, it seemed.
  9. Initiative: 1d20+9 = 14
  10. In case you want some rolls and we're not just in narrative mode: Attack roll for Dazzle effect: 1d20+15 = 34 If it hits: DC17 Reflex save to avoid Visual and Audio dazzle.
  11. Another horrible scene of death and carnage. It looked like a playground, but with bodies everywhere. Pan frowned at the sight. Dream or not, it was not pleasant sight in the least, and if the previous dream had been Leroy and Mardo's nightmares, then who was the owner of this particular horror? He floated through the scene, noting the bodies that surrounded them. Children, teachers, soldiers and colorful heroes. Curious, in its way. Horrible, yet curious. It seemed too real to be the nightmare of a child, did it not? The wounds were too clear, the effects of what had happened to the victims too visceral. At least, unless they had been in warzones or something of the like. And there he found them, in the middle of the carnage. Watchdog, doing her best to live up to her name and keep the little girl that Jack had befriended safe. Despite the scene unfolding around him, Pan could not keep a little smile from his at the sight. The creature that stood before them quickly removed that, however. A dark shadow, a phantom of a hero that Pan recognized from his classes, or in stories from the other heroes. The Raven. The second one, it seemed, in how it at least vaguely resembled a woman. It was towering above them, speaking to them, talking of lies exposed, deception and worlds in collision. And from Ashley's response, clearly it was speaking to her. She fired on its midsection, and Pan dove forward. This was not a scene he knew how to solve with the wave of his hand and an uplifting speech. He would need more. "Watchdog!" He called out, fireworks already burning in his hand, shooting out at the phantom before them. Fight darkness with light, no? "Is that the Raven? What is this place?" He had boasted his affinity for the dreams. Time to actually put that to the test.
  12. Justice would be into participating
  13. Everything was happening so fast. Pan had barely managed to climb to his feet before Krampus opened his kasket. The old was instant and intense, rushing over the area, pushing him back. He could see so many of the others caught in it all around him, ice and cold weighing him down like them. He saw Corinne was caught as well. No, that he could not let go unpunished. This was far from ideal, but it could have been worse, at least, and Pan remained standing, a grin creeping over his lips. The situation was dire, true. He saw Dio falling, but his friends, and even those among the students that he only knew by association, were putting up a fine fight. Micah's heat, Nicole's armor powering through the sky towards Krampus. So many of them working together. It was glorious. Could he do any less? Of course not! Krampus was stunned for the moment, he had to take the shot! "KRAMPUS! Look around! Do you truly believe you can stand against the might of my friends? You come to a school of heroes to punish the naughty! Do you not see your error?" He doubted it would help much, but it was a mere distraction, after all. Pixie Dust had already gathered in his hands, being thrown forward in a pixie-winged ball, spinning through the air towards Krampus. He could only hope that his aim would be true, and that he had enough power to at least cause some reaction in Krampus.
  14. Right, since Pan is entangled anyway, I'll go for a Feint as Move action at Krampus: Bluff 1d20+16 = 21 Not a huge chance of succes, but let's see if I get lucky! Followed up with a Pixie Blast: 1d20+9 = 27 DC26 Toughness if it hits, otherwise it'll come back around for its homing attack on Pan's next turn.
  15. "The Lost World." Didn't sound like a fun place to be. And there were probably no using the Magic Mesa to get out of there, not unless it had a counterpart somewhere, or decided to pull Cassidy out of this place on its own. Neither were likely. This was supposed to be simple. He should just have grabbed one of those robbers and gotten out of there immediately. But couldn't do that, could he? Still, it wasn't Tsunami's fault, and she seemed to know more about what was going on than he did. He had thrown to enough weird places by the Magic Mesa, being in some place called the Lost World shouldn't freak him out too much, should it? "Right. What's the deal with this place, then? You mentioned Atlanteans? They're the ones in charge here?" Two options, two paths out of here. And he knew nothing about this place. "And any clue how we get home?"
  16. GM Hugin was silent, simply staring down at the three trinkets. A pair of cups, and a vial. Its face was unreadable. It was, after all, a raven, and not a human, and birds were notoriously difficult to read. And yet, Lament could not help but feel that he had somehow annoyed the messenger of Odin that stood before him. If the bird could have raised an eyebrow, it would have done so. Instead, it cawed loudly. "Describe them to me! Tell me what they look like to you!" It was apparently not fond of repeating its command.
  17. "No, it is not." Justice shot after the Wall as he marched into the building after Blowfish. Her statement was meant both at the Wall's statement about blood for blood being justice, and Blowfish's self-defense declaration. Great. Just great. Nothing was ever simple, was it? The Wall was completely off-script, and if he kept this up, then she would have to take him down too. She didn't want to do that, not if she could help it, but if he kept this up, then she probably wouldn't have a choice. If she could, that was. The guy really was built like a Wall. She should follow them. Had to make sure they didn't kill each other, and make sure this went down the right way, but she had to do something first. Justice turned to the cameras, looking straight at them, and by extension Jackson. "Look into Johns. See how he suddenly got a ton of cash to spend, and where he spends it, and who he hurts when he spends it. Should be some great tv, right?" She would have winked, but they couldn't see it behind the mask, and instead she turned and ran into the building, following after Blowfish, his goons and the Wall, the Justice Buster ready in her hands.
  18. Forever Boy Pan floated over by Aurora as she fiddled with the tablet. The technology in this world still amazed him. It was so different from Neverworld. Sure, they had advanced things too that would put many things here to shame, but it was not strictly technology in the sense as it was understood here, was it? No, it was magic and technology blended. Here they had planes, on Neverworld they had flying ships. Here, everyone had a telephone in hand. On Neverworld, you were lucky to find someone with messenger birds. He once heard someone called sending messages like that to be "tweeting". "Interesting! But I wonder just what they tracked! What does the buttons do? Try pressing some of them!" Six buttons. Very interesting!
  19. What was this? Pan felt the danger just moments before it happened. That little nudge, the hair at the back of his head standing up. A shiver running down his spine, and then Judy positively erupted! He barely even had time to register the sound of gunfire, or the burnt smell from the room. It all happened so fast as Judy yelled. Pan was fast, at least. An arm shot up, covering his eyes even as his head turned. Even then, he could feel the heat. Was this what Judy was truly capable of? Was Ashley protecting everyone else just as much as she was protecting Judy, then? Pan could hear a whistling sound flying by. Ashley? She had been close to Judy as usual, after all. And then, the light was gone, and the doors were closed again, with only Miss Lupine and Leroy remaining. Pan frowned. They had only just managed to find Leroy, and now this. "I am here, Leroy." He responded. His eyes looked... off. Like he was not really seeing things around him. Disconcerting, but if if this was a dream, it was hopefully merely temporary. "Could have happened to all of us, my friend. I will do my best to find Ashley." He paused briefly, looking at Leroy. His tone was a bit sterner, but ultimately still kind, for his next part. "Best of luck finding Judy. Remember it is but a dream." With Miss Lupine with him, he turned to the darkness. He could but guess what kind of nightmare it would lead to. An illusion of light, a small glowing orb appeared above them. "I suggest we stay close. We are already too divided. Shall we?" he asked the teacher, making a small bow before starting to venture into the darkness, quickly giving a short shout once he had turned from Miss Lupine and Leroy. "Ashley! If you can hear me, make any sound! I will find you!"
  20. Yeah, these things cannot deal with that at all. Feel free to grip them all you want.
  21. Reflex Save vs Area effect: 1d20+10 = 27 Evasion 2, so no effect from the dazzle ? And I'll gladly take a HP off your hands!
  22. That's a pass! You manage to activate the tablet, and it shows a map overview of the surrounding area, with a big red dot placed squarely on Aurora and Forever Boy's location. There's 3 unlabelled buttons on the left and right of the tablet. Do you want to press any?
  23. Everything warped around Cassidy and Tsunami. On pure instinct, he hardened the sand in his body. Everything was spinning, he felt like he was being thrown around, and then, sunlight shining through the opening in one of the stonewalls that surrounded them. The experience had knocked Cassidy off his feet, but it was more the disorientation than anything else. "Yeah." He climbed to his feet, not bothering to dust himself off, but looking around. He noticed the water moving around Tsunami, but decided not to comment. Seemed like she had a lot of tricks up her sleeve. "Not my first time being thrown somewhere strange." The travel had been different from what he was used for from the Magic Mesa, but close enough. So, he looked around. Stone, sunlight. A single exit, unless they made something. Great. Whatever had brought them here, it was pretty clear where they wanted them to go. But wait... Tsunami had shouted a warning. "You warned me, just before it happened. You know anything about what's going on?"
  24. Blowfish seemed like he had lost it. Mindless pulling the trigger, even as his gun was broken. And the Wall was literally breathing down her neck, telling her to move. He was right, Blowfish had made a fool of himself, their plan had worked. Caught on camera going nuts, trying to shoot a gun at a crowd of people, and then there were all Robin's accusations. Track covered or not, Blowfish would be investigated now, if not by the police, then by Jack Jackson and the others like him. A sensation in the making, a corruption scandal that went all the way to city hall with Johns. She had more to say, about Johns and his sudden fortune, how he had spent it hurting women, like Amber had said, but this was not the moment. "No." She did not turn to face the Wall, not fully.. Justice's eyes were squarely on Blowfish right now. He might not have his gun, but he was still standing, and he was still dangerous. "I don't care what kind of bad ass you think you are, I am not letting you self destruct and take all the other people that Blowfish tricked into coming here with you. If you kill him, you can be sure that this entire thing gets swept under the rug, and the only thing that anyone will care about is what you and all the other so-called dangerous immigrants did. Is that what you call justice?" There was a quick solution to the problem, at least. Take out Blowfish. Sure, it might backfire. The Wall might take it as an easy hit, but that way, she would only have to deal with somebody on one side, at least. "And would you quit trying to shoot everyone with that thing?" Attention back at Blowfish, Justice booted up the engines in her boot once more. A bit less throttle than last time, should make it easier to aim, even if the power output would be lower. Then she kicked at Blowfish's face. If not taking him out, it could hopefully bring him down.
  25. Kicking at Blowfish with a Justice Kick, using Accurate Attack maneuver for +2ATK/-2DC: 1d20+8 = 25 DC23 Toughness if that hits.
