That is indeed a hit! Thug 1 Toughness vs. DC25: 1d20+12 = 14 Failed by 11, so Staggered & Dazed That means skipping Thug 1 and going straight for Thug 2, who fires a blast of cosmic energy at Aurora in retaliation: 1d20+8 = 18 A miss! And Pan tries to catch Thug 2 with Binding Bands: 1d20+11 = 20 So a hit. Thug 2 reflex save vs. DC21: 1d20+13 = 24, so he's not caught. Aurora is up, after my IC posts! 18 - Aurora - 1HP - Unharmed 17 - Thug 1 - Staggered, Dazed 15 - Thug 2 - Unharmed 14 - Forever Boy - 1HP - Unharmed

GM "HEY!" the two thugs came barreling out of the door, audibly knocking it off its hinges, and sending it crashing into the alley, though, mercifully perhaps, it did not hit any of the two heroes. The two thugs paused for a moment, looking at Forever Boy and Aurora. One of them raised the tablet, looking at the red dot, then lowered it again. "It's them, brother!" The other one smacked the first in the back of his head. "Of course it is them! Are you an idiot?" With a grunt of disapproval, the first one put the tablet down on the steps, then they both threw away their fedoras and coats, revealing battlesuits underneath, and rather advanced ones, at that. The blonde haired thug had a dark red armor, the other had a dark grey, but otherwise, they were identical. All but their faces were covered. The chest of each bore an emblem that looked like a stylized E, and they appeared to have blasters of some kind on their hands. With a little adjustment, the two thugs put on a pair of highly stylized glasses, the color of the others' armor, connected to the armor with black cables.

Forever Boy Initiative: 1d20+9 = 14 Thug 1 Initiative: 1d20+11 = 18 Thug 2 Initiative: 1d20+11 = 15 For simplicity's sake, I'm lowering Thug 1 to 17, so you go first after my GM post. 18 - Aurora - 1HP - Unharmed 17 - Thug 1 - Unharmed 15 - Thug 2 - Unharmed 14 - Forever Boy - 1HP - Unharmed

Forever Boy Oh, this was just brilliant! Pan's lips split into a wide grin as he watched Reina transform, bright stars all around, her clothes becoming her costume. It had made his costume change seem outright boring! And they had a choice. Of course they did. They could run, but the men might just find them, depending on how they had. They could fly. Pan could, at least, and he could probably carry Reina, but, even then, maybe the men could fly too. You never knew what would happen in this world, and Pan found it absolutely wonderful! "Maybe. You can never tell what people can do around here, can you now? Still, I agree. I want to know what they want with us." He moved away from the door, taking to the air in the small alley. Why box themselves in, if they could help it, after all? Glitter falling from him, he readied himself.
-
Forever Boy Pan had honestly not expected Reina to be capable of such action. It was fast, it was bold, and... it was absolutely exhausting for Reina. He should have thought of that. He could probably have helped her move far faster, but this wasn't really the time for that, was it? He knew what he wanted to do. The men were clearly after him or Reina, maybe they had recognized him from some of his adventures? Maybe they were after Reina? He wanted to know. Not knowing would drive him nuts, he hated not knowing why he was being chased, after all. In any case, they had a short moment to make their choice. He was not quite sure what Reina's powers were, so maybe he should just leave it up to her, after all? "They'll be here in a moment." He looked over at the door, his voice rather calm, despite the situation. He had been in worse situations more times than he could remember. "What do you say? Fight or flight?" Pan's own costume was already appearing, red and green with a green domino mask, as glittering Pixie Dust spread over him.

"No violence." Robin replied to the Wall. "Unless Blowfish starts something. Whatever else, he has to strike the first blow., and it gotta be on camera, else it'll just be more trouble for you and your guys." They had to make it look good, and they had to make it look right. Kidd would get Jackson hooked. The Wall would get things started and keep Amber safe. Robin would ignore Kidd and Amber flirting, because really, that was none of her business. Right now, her business was Blowfish. And now? Now it was time for justice!

GM "HEY!" The man with the tablet shouted after Reina and Pan as they dashed away along the museum floor. "Stop!" The two men looked quickly at each other, then gave chase. A quick view of the tablet would have shown the red dot focused on Reina and Pan, but the two men were not looking at it now. They could see their targets, they didn't need to use the scanner anymore. The crowds parted around Reina and Pan, then spread even further away from the large men. A man tried to step up, shouting for the men to stop, but he was quickly brushed aside as they ran, almost as if he wasn't even there. Whoever the men were, they were fast and strong, and they were slowly gaining.
-
Forever Boy Oh, what was this now, then? A pair of men, dressed rather oddly. Pan had only seen clothing like that in movies before, so this was curious. And they demanded that he and Reina come along? And that they would not hurt them? The not hurting part was a plus, was it not? Still, wanting them to come along with no explanation? No, that was not good enough, was it now? He was already starting to gather Pixie Dust. A slight glow was forming in his hands. Keep a secret identity, that was what they taught at Claremont, but he did not really have an identity to hide here on Earth, did he now? And then Reina grabbed him and run, the glimmering dust falling behind for a moment as he was pulled along, dashing across the museum floor. Now that was unexpected! Pan could not help letting out a laugh.

GM The terror was still clear in Grendel's Mother. She was growing weaker by the moment. It was clear that it took everything she had just to remain standing now. She was absolutely exhausted, her breath heavy and labored as she backed away from the nothing monster that made its way towards her. She held her hands out in front of her. "No! Stop!" Did the Void know who she was, what she had done? Perhaps not. It did not matter. She would not die here. A weak wave of dark miasma washed out from her hands, radiating out in the area around her.
-
Once again with an area attack, but a bit weaker this time: Reflex 22 for half effect. Toughness Roll DC23 if you fail, DC18 if you don't.
-
GM The talk about the Atom Family would have to wait, it seemed, no matter if Reina got started or not. Both of them noticed a pair of men that approached. The very pair with the trenchcoats and fedoras, looking like very bad attempts at disguises. One of them was still holding his tablet, holding it up in front of himself. He lowered it slightly, his lips splitting into a wide grin. "Hey, brother! That's it!" He raised his free hand, pointing towards Reina and Pan. Who he was pointing at exactly was a bit unclear, and it just seemed to be in their general direction. People around were starting to notice the two large men in trenchcoats that clearly seemed to have intentions for the two teenagers, most trying to keep their distance. The other man responded, moving closer to Reina and Pan. "Come now, we ain't gonna hurt you kids. Just come along."
-
And Pan's notice: 1d20+7 = 26 Both pass, and GM post will reflect that.
-
Forever Boy "Ah, don't worry! You'll do great!" He didn't worry. Why should he? Sure, there were problems and lots and lots of teenage drama at Claremont. Pan was not blind to that in any way, but he did like to focus on the positive aspects. She would probably get along great with Judy, though Reina and Micah might end up with a very silent, very awkward room. He dispelled the illusion around them, and pointed the way. "So, what about those guys over there? The Atom Family? Know anything about them?"
-
Notice: 1d20+7 = 9 Ha... Well, not that it'll matter much I think, but just in case, Pan got Accurate Hearing and a Danger Sense Super-Senses.

Edit request canceled by player due to budgetary constraints. Request will be re-filed at a later time. - Fox, 2019/01/21 Justice 4PP to spend for Justice! I'd like to buy the following device: Device 1 ("Grandmother's Amulet"; 5 PP Container; Flaws: Easy-To-Lose, Feats: Only you can use) [4PP] (Magic) Super-Movement 1 ("Z-Space Portal"; Options: Dimensional Movement [To and From Z-Space], Extras: Portal (+2), Feats: Progression [Portal Size] 1) [5PP] (Dimensional, Magic, Z-Space) (Up to 10ft x 10ft portal) And that should put her at 121/121PP spent Please replace the Eidetic Memory feat with Jack-of-All-Trades. And a new Complication, based on the new device: Grandmother's Amulet: Robin's amulet might give her special, magic abilities, but she knows little of the origin. Her grandmother simply found it in an alley in the 70'es, and who knows if the original owner might show up to reclaim it, or what it even is? And for the new device, and my previous update, an update to Justice's power description: Power Descriptions: Robin posses no innate powers. All her abilities come from trained skills, technology she created herself, or her grandmother's amulet. At the moment, Robin's main inventions are the Justice Buster and the Justice Driver. The Justice Buster is a slightly oversized gun, but not too large to be fired one handed. It fires bursts of kinetic energy rather than any kind of bullets. The Justice Driver is a device in two pieces: A belt that takes commands from Robin's cell phone, or the voice command. By starting a special program on her phone, which requires a passcode entered with Robin's fingerprints, she can cause a lightweight body armor to appear from the belt, hiding her identity. Alternatively, she can use the code word "Henshin", for situations where her hands are busy. At the moment, the suit also enhanced Robin's strength constitution, makes her more resistant to damage and enhances her aim. The first built in weapon is what Robin calls the "Justice Kick". Using a number of small motors and servos, built into the legs of the suit, all drawing directly on the Justice Driver's energy source, she is able to deliver kicks with devastating power. Robin was recently gifted with her Grandmother's Amulet, which she once used as the super heroine Miss Step. The amulet is a silver disc, roughly 2 inches in diameter, and about 0.15 inches thick. A multifaceted purple gem in an oval form rests in the middle of the amulet, roughly ½ inch on the long end, and a quarter on the short. A silver chain holds the amulet, which Robin usually wears around her neck. While Robin and her grandmother know little about the origin of the amulet, it seems to have bonded to Robin, allowing her to create portals to Z-Space, the dimension between universes Thank you!

She was tall. Now, Pan had never been accused of that particular characterization, but looking up at Zenith (or was it Corinne now? No, it was probably still Zenith, the way she talked), this was one of the few times he had even considered people's height. Tall or not, Pan did however agree. Not everyone with powers were meant for action or adventure, were they? Power, or magic, or extraordinary abilities, seemed to be more common back on Neverworld, though usually weaker than what was found here on Earth. Corinne, or Zenith, possessed great power. Far greater than him, probably. She danced again. And Pan was simply staring. Her moves held great beauty, and he was captivated for the moment as she rose up, and planted her lips on his forehead. It felt... nice. It had been a long while since he had been that close to someone. Still, he took a step back, shaking his head as he smiled. "There are always moments, are there not? You are upset, so why would I not follow? I must admit, I did not seek anything in return, but I could not leave a friend alone." He looked out at the images on the sky. They were changing a bit. The ships disappearing into the clouds. "You can never please everyone, or at times anyone, can you? And yet, if there is one thing I have learned, it is this: Be you, don't be someone else. It is admirably to be a hero, sure, but it is not for everyone. And I do not mean to say that doing something else is anything but brave! If you wish to dance, then dance!"

GM "Ah, a visitor, then? Or perhaps a migrant?" Charlemagne gestured for Oswald to follow once more. "What brought you to Emerald City, then? Surely, there are many excellent places on this Earth! And where are you from? Who knows, I might have visited once!" He was seemingly not surprised at all by Oswald's origin. They left the hall, instead entering the study. The walls were lined with bookshelves, themselves filled with books to the point of bursting. The great desk had piles of books all over. A cursory glance revealed that the vast majority of titles related to animals, both mundane and magical. Charlemagne gestured to a pair of comfortably looking armchairs in the corner, both crimson in color. A small round table stood between them. "Come, sit, sit! And tell me everything!"
-
GM Her last, best attempt. Utterly failed. The wave of dark miasma barely nudged the Void of nothing that stood before her. Grendel's Mother made a sound. It was strange, it was small, so different from how she had acted until now. She had no fight left in her. Instead, she simply crossed her arms in front of her, slowly backing away. "STOP! No more! You are not a man! You are something... less. I give in! Just, please... leave me in peace!" She did her best to stay out of the reach of the Void. But would she succeed?
-
That is indeed a miss. Still, Grendel's Mother stops fighting. The question is, will the Void do the same?
-
A new step of the plan, then. "Alright, then here's what we'll do. Kidd, you get Jackson on the hook. Tell him what you need to get him to take the bait. If we're lucky, he'll do the investigative work on Johns. Wall, do you think you can get some of your people to cause a disturbance? No violence or anything, but enough that Blowfish is gonna want to come down and check what is going on with the protest and counter-protest and whatever. We have to stay clean on our side here. If your guys go out and start hurting people, then this won't work. If any of you have a better idea to get Blowfish out here, then I'm all ears. Otherwise, I think its best if you stay out of sight Wall, and keep Amber safe. We don't want Blowfish's goons coming for her." She rubbed her forearm a bit, where the bodyguard goon had hit with his stick. "They're not bright, but they're plenty strong." She paused for a moment. So, what then? "Once we got both Jackson and Blowfish in position, I'll make my entrance. Full suit, catch phrases flying, and confronting him right then and there. Hopefully, I can get him to lose his cool, and then we'll go from there. If he gets violent, then I'll deal with that. Should only work to our advantage. And just to make sure I haven't forgotten anything: I rile Blowfish up, I mention the bribes to Johns, the cheap, illegal labor that Blowfish brought in himself, how he pressure you guys into being criminals, the shoddy construction, and all that just being the tip of the iceberg for his crimes. Anything else?"

GM With Sgt. Shark leading the way into the trench through the crack in the ocean floor, he was the first to see it. A machine, but not the one he had seen in his vision. This appeared to be a tower of some kind, planted at the bottom of the trench. At the top was a wide disk, which seemed to be creating the ever shifting light, shining it up through the crack. The tower itself seemed to be pieced together from various bits of technology. Some seemed human. Parts of items salvaged from the crew that had woken up the aliens, perhaps? Other parts were clearly alien. Strange, coral-like structures, looking as much grown as built. On closer inspection, the disk at the top of the tower seemed to be made from the same coral-like material. There was a long powerline running from the tower, leading further into the trench.

Pan found himself drawn out of his focus for a moment as he heard Ashley swearing. It was really not a nice thing she was stating, even if she did have a point, he supposed. "Such language!" he declared in a faux haughty voice. What kind of language was it that she was speaking? It was not English, of that he was sure, but what then? He had little experience with languages from this world. Maybe he should look into that. On the other hand, she did just call Victoria a potential hivemind. And he didn't like that either. "Victoria is a good girl, Ashley." There was a firmness rarely heard in his voice. "Is the purpose of her learning, her visit, and Miss Lupine's care, not to make sure that she will learn the control necessary of her abilities that she do not become a hivemind, as you put it?" He had not really challenged Ashley like this before. He did not normally feel a need to do so. But he liked Victoria. Even if Ashley was his friend too, and she had a point, she could have put it nicer. But no! Not now! Victoria and the other children were in danger. And even if they could not be actually hurt, then the children were most likely scattered all around, and scared out of their minds, and would feel hurt. That could be just as bad, in its own way. "There is little question about our next action, is there?" He looked around at the others. His voice still held the firmness from before. "We find the children and protect them from their nightmares, until we can find a way to wake them up. We can always wonder about blame and and guilt later, if it becomes necessary. For now, the children should be our only priority."

GM Lady Horus, Mr. Strix The guards were all but stunned at the display of power, making them easy prey for Mr. Strix. They were left in a heap. As far as they knew, that was the vast majority of the guards still inside the building. According to the man that Strix had controlled, only the last guard at the guard station was left. Still, there had been an unforeseen consequence of Lady Horus' strike. All the books had fallen to the floor around them, and the black liquid was now flowing out on the floor, far faster than one would thinking. It would be moments before it covered the entire floor. Ronin, Doctor Thorne, Wadjet(?) The guard fell. No guards left in the building, as far as the mind-controlled guard had known. The cameras showed him the other guards falling, even if they could not see Strix. Many of the screens were completely black, especially on the upper floors, as they were placed nearer to the room that were supposed to house their target. It was not solid black, however. It seemed to be moving around. Once he was finished, Ronin could quickly scrub the drives, hiding the group's actions, while a loop started playing. If Doctor Thorne continued to watch the books, she would see the black liquid, perhaps even earlier than her companions. From her different angle, she could see that it was not simply flowing out to cover the floor, but seemed to be moving with purpose.

IMMORTALIZED by Fox The blue background is usually an artifact of some version of the sheet being copied out of a spoiler box; it's starting to stripe as edits get pasted in. If you ever hear of a solid way to fix this let me know, and I'll see about cleaning it up for you. Forever Boy Spending some of Forever Boy's PP: Buying this power: Luck Control 1 ("Forever Lucky"; Option: Force Rerolls) [3PP] (Luck) Buying feat: Luck 3 6PP spent, leaving him with 7PP left. And some fixes/minor changes - A fix to the Illusion array. I had Alternate Power 1 listed twice, both on the array and on Illusion, so please replace the current Illusion array with this one: Illusion Array 3.5 (7 PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power 1) [8 PP] (Pixie Dust, Trained) BP: Illusion 1 ("Endless Forms Most Beautiful"; Affects: All Senses; Extras: Duration 1; Feats: Progression [Area] 2) (Duration: Sustained, Area: 25 ft.) {7/7} AP: Obscure 3 ("Hide & Seek"; Feats: Selective) (Duration: Sustained, Radius: 25 ft.) {7/7} - Remove the Quick Change feat. It fit better as an Enhanced Feat. Please add this power instead: Enhanced Feat 1 ("Forever Uniform") (Quick Change) [1PP] (Pixie Dust) - And with the above, an updated Power Descriptions block, also removing the Stun power I got rid of in Forever Boy's last update, adding the two new powers and removing some old redundant text I never got rid of: Power Descriptions: Pan's powers come from one of two sources: His alien genetics as a resident of Neverworld, or his usage of Pixie Dust, gifted to him by the Pixies of Neverworld. Any powers with the Pixie Dust descriptor, save for those explicitely told otherwise, tend to have a golden glow and leave behind golden glitter that disappear after a few seconds. Pixie Dust are, opposite to what would be believed from popular culture, explicitely not magical, and appear to be based on manipulating sort of intense light instead. Anyone is able to be empowered by Pixie Dust, if it is given as a gift by the Pixies of Neverworld, though it might cause different effects. The only standard effect for everyone seem to be the ability to fly. Pan is currently able to use his Pixie Dust in a number of ways: - "The Forever Boy": Pan doesn't appear to age, which seems to be an unique reaction to the Pixie Dust. - "Forever Uniform": Pan is able to use his Pixie Dust to summon his costume at will. - "Fairy Flight": Pan is able to fly, leaving behind a trail of golden glitter as he does so. - "Endless Forms Most Beautiful": Pan spreads the Pixie Dust, creating illusions capable of fooling all the senses. He is able to shape the sounds, sights, smell, taste and feel of his illusions. One of the few Pixie Dust powers that do not leave behind golden glitter. - "Hide & Seek": Using his illusionary powers, Pan creates an all concealing fog in the area around him. - "The Forever Blade": Pan creates a sword of Pixie Dust in his hand, glowing with the light of the dust. - "Pixie Blast": A Pixie shaped blast of light that homes in on Pan's enemies. - "Fireworks": A flash of light and sound, to leave his enemies dazzled. - "Binding Bands": Pan spreads Pixie Dust that solidifies into glowing bands that hold his target. Pan's alien heritage as a Neverworlder leaves him tougher than a regular human, along with greatly enhanced hearing and a sixth, mental danger sense that warns him of danger moments before it happens. His mind is sharp, even for a Neverworlder, letting him complete mental tasks at incredible speeds, and he is able to understand any written or spoken language. He has always been exceptionally lucky, from being found by the Pixies to ending up in a place as interesting as Earth-Prime.

Robin grinned. Oh, so if Blowfish got to him first, then he would use Jack? "Sure, that's a thing, but I wouldn't put it past Jackson to switch sides again, would you?" They just had to dangle the right bait in front of him to get his way. "Besides, we got an advantage here. We got a few things that'd beat any story: Corruption in city hall, gangsters, cops and robbers teaming up, an angle where he can be all heroic for selling out his friend and, the best thing for getting Jackson's attention: A super hero right in the middle of it all." She paused a second for dramatic effect. "So, is Jackson still hanging around? Better get to him sooner rather than later, right? And I don't think we can keep all this waiting for long, anyway."
