GM They were getting closer, now. They could all see it, and Sea Devil and Sgt. Shark could feel it. Like a drum at the back of their heads. They could see it up ahead. The remains of the drill that had breached the ocean floor to find the spaceship beneath. It was broken, in small pieces now, and from the hole came the most beautiful colors. They shifted, they changed. Blending from blue to purple to red to orange to yellow to green and back, and everything in between. The crack in the ocean floor was wide. The light seemed to seep out, flowing out of the water, upwards. The ocean life around the crack seemed unnaturally still, unmoving. And only Asad did not feel like, the drum at the back of the head.

DC20 Notice Check!

GM Lament moved with the stealth and grace of a cat! For on this night, he might as well be the prince of cats! Or so he thought, at least. The woman's shawl was black. The most pure black that Lament had ever seen, even greater than the darkness of the night. He could not see her face, but she sounded old. Not in the way that the Bog Wife had been. No, this was not ancient age, hidden behind young beauty. This was just ancient age. He could not see her face. It was hidden in the darkness of the shawl, draped around her body. Her hands moved as she hummed. The tune was lazy. It had little sense or melody. Just broken sounds, going where the old lady wished it to go. And her hands moved. A never ending movement, reaching for her golden coins. Stacking them before her, as high as they would go. Then, once finished, moving on to the next. A never ending task, but one she seemed to enjoy. Gold was not all that Lament would see in the cave. There were treasures of all kinds. Ancient armor and weapons. What appeared to be the remains of a viking ship. The bones of a great dragon. A great, dark chest of wonders, in the center of the cave.

@Avenger Assembled Can I get a Notice check from Lady Horus?
-
GM Doctor Thorne, Mr. Strix, Ronin & Wadjet The man stared slackjawed at Wadjet. For a brief second, it seemed like he was resisting, then he stopped, and answered. His voice was somewhat slow, though whether it was an affect of Mr. Strix's control or his usual manner of speaking was anyone's guess. "I'm not sure how many people are in here. We got at least thirty guards around. Got pulled in by the Snacktastic big bosses, they didn't want the workers ruining anything. I think most are outside. Just me and three others are still in here, just to keep an eye on things. I think Mike is down at the security booth. Keeping an eye on the cameras. Gotta keep an eye on the top floor. There's someone up there that we gotta guard, but I don't know what they are doing." Lady Horus It did not take Lady Horus long to get to Snacktastic, but she would not be able to see any of the others, as they had all entered the building by now. She would have to find her own way inside.

Huh, no screaming or yelling. That was nice. Even if Robin could totally smell the alcohol on Amber's breath even from the short distance away. The way she was talking was a bit much. Robin was really not into the idea of kissing someone like this, so not that big a fan, she supposed. "Ah, that's... fine. Just wanted to make sure you're alright and everything." Mysterious voice in the shadows? Bit long a name, but hey, she could roll with that. "I saw a guy in the crowds tonight. I think he goes by Blowfish. I heard you two have some history, so I wanted to check up on you." Again, going for the long shot here. They had history, but what exactly were the current relationship? Robin guessed she was about to find out.

"Here". Cassidy produced another of the dried leaves. Just one more left now, but so far, bringing them along had helped, at least a little bit. "I got no idea if it being dried changes anything, but you can use it for your test." He turned to the rubble of the temple. He didn't like the yellow stench. How did a smell even have a color in the first place? It made no damn sense. None of this made any damn sense. At any rate, they needed to clear this up. And he wanted to be sure that Setho was dead. Didn't want to get bitten by that snake at some point in the future, literally or not. He went to where the throne room stood before. The flowers had been growing here, so this was where they needed to work. He began moving the rubble away, searching for the flowers, Setho, and, if he happened upon them, the Lemurians that stabbed him in the back. Cassidy had no idea what had happened to them, even if he wouldn't feel particularly bad about it, if they had been smashed.
-
Sneaky! You'll see an old woman, dressed in a shawl up ahead. There's several pillars and alcoves in the room, which is dominated by a large torch in the middle, with piles of gold all around it.

GM Lament might not speak Raven, but the raven seemed to understand him. It cawed loudly, as Lament called out to it, then dove, flying into the cave ahead of him. It was silent, and it quickly disappeared into the darkness, but perhaps, the Giver of Grief would not be as alone in the cave as he had first thought. The cave was dark, but dry. It was warm inside, but not unbearably so. Still, he could feel it growing hotter, as he moved deeper into the cave. And as he moved further, he could hear a woman's voice, humming a melody, and see a golden, shimmering light. Like a torch being reflected in treasure, perhaps? At least, Lament was getting closer.

Stealth roll at DC 25 if you wish to sneak up on the the singing woman.

Grandmother once said to always bring hairpins. Guess I know why. The locks on the fire escape took a bit of work, but with a bit of tinkering, she managed to make it through, and slip out, hopefully with nobody any wiser. It really would be best if she wasn't spotted, especially by Blowfish and his crew. First thing she did once outside was ditch the fake beauty mark (safely hidden in her wallet) and put on her mask. Not a big thing, but better than nothing, right? So, she moved up the fire escape, until she found the window to the room that Amber and the rest of the band were staying in. Robin could see the booze being passed around. Great. So, she snuck in through the window, moved closer to Amber, and whispered. Hopefully, she wouldn't scream. Robin really hoped she wouldn't. "Hey, can we talk for a moment? I'm a big fan."
-
Just trying to get close enough to Amber to whisper to her. Stealth roll: 1d20+2 = 21

Disable Device: 1d20+11 = 20

"Fair enough, I suppose." He didn't really blame Salvo for the reaction, given their prior major encounter, but still, it was harsh. Not that Sam really deserved anything else, given what he had done. "Thank you!" He appreaciated Selena's help, even if they couldn't manage much. He stayed by Sam's side, when Lulu started her next little visit to the mind of the would-be-summoner. Hopefully, she would not find any traces of the demon inside that could hurt her, but he still felt he should stay close. He didn't know anything about how her powers worked, really, so if he could do anything to help in case something happened, well, he could just as well stay close. "What kind of weapons?" He asked, genuinely curious. Were there rules to demons in this world, then? Salt, holy water? Things they had to abide by? They were creatures of darkness, were they not? He thought so, at least. "How well would a sword of light do?"

Sounds good to me. A few follow up ideas for Dust Devil: - Trying to find out more about the Mesa, and his role. There's been some doubt sown in him, and he has realized that he need to find out more. - Abdul. Is he still up to no good? Alternatively, can be handled in tying up loose ends. - There's people living around the Mesa, like Mr. Sting. He need to figure out if there's any that's up to no good.

Everything was coming down now. They didn't really have any time to get out of there, much less save Setho as he was crushed under the rubble. Not a great loss, all things considered. Neither were the other Lemurian. He would have to figure out whatever Setho meant leater, because now, they just had to get out of there. "Come on, then!" Cassidy took off from the ground, flying directly towards Venomax. He didn't wait for a response any longer, he just picked up the hero and started flying. Everything was falling, bits and pieces falling all around them. He did his best to shield Venomax from any falling rubble, until finally, making their way outside, as the temple crumpled behind them. Setting Venomax down again, Cassidy breathed out heavily. That was it, then. The flowers destroyed, he hoped. "Sorry. Had to act fast." He stood up straight again, stretching his arms. It was weird how he could still feel sore despite being made of sand. "Don't suppose you have some kind of poison we can dump on that place to make sure the flowers are dead and gone?"

Ow. Amber was really out of it. Her voice was completely slurred, she was stumbling around on high heels (Robin hated wearing those things herself, but she could guess it was a requirement for a job like Amber's). So, Robin watched as they left, and turned towards the backstage, which was of course not unguarded. I really gotta figure out how to make a stealth field for the suit It would make things much easier, wouldn't it? Going in that way, Robin would probably get turned away. It wasn't like she would expect someone to just be let in to see the talent like that, short break or not. This wasn't some boyband concert, after all. She shuddered a bit at the thought of that. She'd never attended, but she had heard stories. So, another path would have to be found! She looked around. Going through the ventilation system might be an option. Very old school action movie, but she knew it would much more noise and be much more cramped than in those movies. The kitchen? Too many to see her. Fire escape it was, then. It was probably all connected, if the building was up to codes. So, trying to be as inconspicous as possible, Robin started making her way towards the fire escape.

GM One leap, and Lament was at the forest. A second, and he stood by the cave. His course had been set, and the boots would carry the Sultan of Sorrow to his destination, as swift as the wind. Or swifter, even! The cave did not seem like much from the outside, to tell the truth. It was a hill, not a mountain (for Denmark had nothing that could truly be called a mountain), with a large hole that led into it. It was dark inside. The moon light above illuminated the night, and yet, it did not illuminate the cave itself. But it did cast light on the signs of warning that had been posted around it. In the same magic as before, understandable to Lament, yet clearly not English, they warned of the beast inside, how not to enter. The usual things for dealing with mythological monsters, really! And yet... Lament noticed something else. A raven. He had first spotted it as he was leaving the castle. Again at the forest. And now here, again, it circled overhead. He was certain that it was the same bird, not merely a different one. Whatever could its purpose be? Would he seek it out, or proceed into the cave?
-
GM The Minister of Misery would find his clue, behind the throne. A crudely drawn map, with almost unreadable words written. They must have been in Danish. Surely, what other language would be used here, and yet, Lament could read them. "IN THE CAVE TO THE NORTH, MY SON. FIND ME." The map showed an image of the castle, or what Lament could at least guess was the castle. To the North was drawn a castle, and to the North of that, a cave.

And a notice check!

There she was! Robin concealed a great big grin as she spotted Amber up on the stage, singing along to the music. She seemed pretty out of it, but maybe Robin could get to her anyway. She hoped she could, at least. Moving through the crowds, and doing her best to avoid any games and alcohol, if she was offered so, Robin found herself standing as close to the stage as she could, simply staring up at Amber. This close, Amber looked scared. Almost hollow. Kidd and the Wall was probably right about her being caught up with Blowfish, and that had to be a huge problem. Moving away from the stage, hoping to avoid too much attention, Robin looked around, trying to find the backstage area, while keeping an eye on Amber. She had to get to her as soon as she got off the stage.

"I think I agree." Cassidy's response was as short as ever. Venomax had done his best, but aside from taking out Setho the moment they had the chance. Venomax's idea was sound. He would have to do that, if they got out of here. He probably could, if he wanted to. Turn to dust and sand, fly between it all, but then he would leave Venomax behind. He couldn't do that. So, out of there, as fast as they could, while keeping an eye out for any traps they had missed on the way in. But should they bring Setho? He couldn't take them all, but maybe... "Its coming down anyway. How about we just barrel through, if you can stick close to me?"
-
GM And so, on bare feet and with great confidence, Lament entered the ruins. There was something about them, something off. Not quite solid, not quite ephemeral. The castle was not made of just rock and wood. It was made from more than just the physical. It was made up of stories, of legends. It might not even exist in the world outside of the tales and legends. Entering through the main gate, he found himself standing in a great hall. The remains of a wooden table and chairs stood in the middle. The throne at the end, once glorious, had fallen to pieces. Stairs leading up to other rooms. There was myriad of rooms to search. Maybe, he could find a hint.
