  1. Bluff: 1d20+8 = 19
  2. GM The troll cursed and yelled as it struggled in the deep dark bubbling void that filled its lungs. A horrible feeling, for any thing. It seemed to pure lose its will to pursue the Sultan of Sorrow, as it struggled to just breathe, and to quell the feeling of the foreign object that now invaded its very lungs. To meet something much worse than itself in this night, where it had tried to follow the faerie lights. The lights closed in behind Lament, soon leaving the troll behind in the fog. The Thane of Tears continued to run, following the lights, until he found their destination. A great big tree, in the middle of a forest. It seemed quite different from the ones that surrounded it. While they reached above Lament, standing at least 10 meters tall or more, they were relatively thin, being roughly 30 cm in diameter, maybe half a meter at most. The majestic tree that stood above Lament stretched into the sky. He was not sure how high. It stretched into, and beyond the fog. It was wide. At least 3 meters in diameter, wholly unlike the other trees that surrounded him. The lights ended at the root of the tree, at what appeared to be a great big hole that led under it. Would the Master of Melancholy dare to enter?
  3. Con check: 1d20+6 = 10, for previous round where it should have been rolled (misread that rule), so just making that And Con check this round: 1d20+6 = 26, so its still standing, but purely academic, as the troll falls behind in the fog.
  4. Really? Kidd had to go and make jokes like that now? Really ruining Robin's dramatic entrance and everything like that. And his threats sounded somewhat desperate to her. Was he just all talk and bravado, after all? "My pea shooter got a bigger boom than you're guessing, big guy." Oh god, now she was doing it too. "There's plenty of backup just waiting for our signal. We'll bring the entire place down if we have to." She eyed the dynamite. The blast cap needed to lit to make them actually explode, so the contents wouldn't easily explode. A kinetic blast from the Justice Buster shouldn't do that, so it was a possibility, if any of them tried anything. Still, the weapons were dropped, and only the wall seemed threatening at the moment. "Detective Kidd, would you mind cuffing these guys?" The Wall could probably tear through cuffs in a moment. Was he just big or strong, or did he have powers?
  5. With those extra senses, Sgt. Shark makes the roll too.
  6. The Wall's a priority target.
  7. Alright. Now or never, then. What should Robin do? Stand up and shoot? It felt wrong to not at least give them a chance, but they were handling dynamite. They might set it off. But shooting someone in the back, without giving him a chance to give up... that felt wrong too. But they were basically terrorists, they wanted to blow a lot of people up... so what was she going to do? Even taking out one of them before things escalated might be smart. She was sure she knew what Kidd would do, and right now, he seemed almost reasonable. Almost. Ugh. Fine then. Justice Buster held in both hands, she stood straight up. Full hero costume, red and gold. She was aiming straight at the Wall and his cohorts. "Freeze! Drop your weapons and hands where I can see them!" That's what they said on the cop shows, right?
  8. The moment any of the men turn a weapon on them, Justice will take a shot at them as a prepared action. Rolling prepared attack roll for that now, just in case, and to make posting smoother: 1d20+9 = 23 DC20 Toughness if shot is made, and it hits.
  9. The fun and dance and changing of reality itself came almost to an abrupt end, when a voice called out. Pan continued dancing, even as he looked over at them. He had never met or even heard of these two before. Were they fellow students, or something else? They sounded like trouble, at the very least. Big, strong, dressed in ridiculous clothes. "Anyone you know?" he asked Zenith. He knew little of the fashion of this world, but he at least thought that the pair looked ridiculous. He had moved closer to Zenith once more before he had asked. Pan did not try to hide his annoyance at the interruption, either from Zenith or from the two muscular men.
  10. "Would you just shut up!?" No more word play, no more yapping with people that wanted to spread addictive drugs that turned people crazy and "opened" their mind through the cosmos, and doing it by using the Magic Mesa. The magic energy slammed into him. Once, it might have killed him on the spot, but Cassidy was the Dust Devil now, and he was made of sterner stuff. Everyone kept calling him out about what he knew and didn't know about the Magic Mesa, and sure, there were much he didn't know yet, but he was still the Dust Devil, and he was finally starting to understand the weight that came with that title. He flew forward, the sand that made up his body combining into a rock solid body. If Venomax had to get a chance at making any of his poison work against Setho, then he needed to get up close and keep the Lemurian sorcerer busy. He threw a quick punch, aimed directly for Setho's face. That should hopefully keep him distracted.
  11. Putting Walking Desert Array in Solid Rock Form, putting Magic Mesa Guardian array at Guardian's Strength. The Sandstorm should keep raging, just to annoy Setho. Flying straight for Setho with a punch: 1d20+10 = 21 DC 25 toughness if it hits.
  12. GM Barney the penguin was quite displeased, even as he was let go and the world returned to its proper place. He squawked, hurrying over to the man. "But master! This ruffian forced his entry! He was not allowed in!" The man smiled, looking down at Barney. "Did he now? Curious." The man's voice was calming. He looked at Oswald through his glasses, a little smile playing over his lips. "Yes, quite a mage, I suppose. I have never been much for such labels, or to overstate my proficiency in the arts." He walked closer, extending a hand. "Charles Charlemagne. What brings you to my door, my good man?" "But, master!" Barney the penguin squawked again, frantically flapping his flippers.
  13. GM Roar and scream as it might did, the troll was a living, breathing creature. It needed air, and the oily blackness that filled the air around quickly caught the beast in its grasp. Its roars quickly became inaudible, naught but a whimper, as it struggled in the cloud. It slowed down, falling to the ground and slowly starting to crawl forward, as it struggled to breathe. The Duke of Despair continued, as the Void held the beast back.
  14. Fortitude Roll: 1d20+8 = 11 Failed by 4, so -1 on attack, defense, reflex, one standard or move action, and move at half speed. Nasty.
  15. Can I get notice checks from everyone?
  16. GM Sgt. Shark and Sea Devil gracefully dove into the water, with Asad's bellyflop attracting like attention, as they dove down. Thankfully, as Asad pointed out to himself, it was not the Mariana Depths. It was nowhere with an absolutely crushing pressure. The ocean was teeming with life. Fish of all sizes and colors quickly surrounded them, most making sure to stay a safe distance away from the strange trio. A turtle swam by, also making sure to stay clear. Perhaps it was simply that the three were foreigners to these depths, or perhaps the animals sensed Sgt. Shark and Devil Fish for what they were. It wasn't long before the came over a ridge, and up ahead, they could see lights. Light green, light blue. Flashing, turning on and off. Being projected out into the water. They still had some distance before their target, but they were getting closer.
  17. GM Lady Horus The man stared at Lady Horus briefly, not really believing his own eyes. "You're Lady Horus? Can you... can you stop this?" He was waving around some blank papers, quickly holding them out towards her. They were just that, blank papers. He was waving them wildly, seemingly not caring if he fell down on the way. "This is all the taxes! All the work! Everything, all the money trying to keep the city running! And its gone! Just gone!" Mister Strix, Doctor Thorne, Ronin and Wadjet The situation at Snacktastic were rapidly deteriorating. Another car was on fire by the time Doctor Thorne and Ronin arrived, and Snacktastic's security had begun to advance. As far as they could see, the building itself was all but empty. They could occasionally spot a guard looking out of a window, but it was a rare sight. The security forces seemed completely focused on the building riot outside the gates. Going through the front would most likely get them noticed, but any other locations might work better. So far, they were unnoticed, free to plan and act.
  18. Toughness Role: 1d20 + 15 = 34 Boom. Actions and IC post coming tomorrow.
  19. GM The troll stopped at the sight, utterly paralyzed. Its kin, burnt to pieces. So many dead, all at once. It was at a complete stop, simply staring at the sight. It made a confused noise, slowly moving forward. Lament was catching up now. He could probably get past it, if he hurried while it was distracted. Reaching out, it touched the dead bodies... only to have its hand pass through. That pissed it off. It roared loudly, turning to try and catch where Lament had gone. He would have passed it by now, if he had chosen to do so, and the lights were starting to go out behind him. The troll would have to hurry to catch him, but it might be able to, unless he did something!
  20. What will the troll do? 1-2: Fall to its knees in shock. 3-4: Try to touch the mound of bodies. 5-6: Go into a rage at the sight. 1d6 = 4
  21. Kidd was a cowboy cop, alright. Did he think that his life was just a big action movie? He had a point about them being terrorists, but still... they couldn't just kill them. Robin didn't want to kill anyone. That was part of the whole reason for making the Justice Buster non-lethal. It hurt, sure. But non-lethal. "My gun can probably take them out without killing them." she finally admitted to Kidd. We have to stop them, but we gotta at least try to do it without anyone dying. For all we know, they could be using that dynamite to go fishing."[/color] Alright then, time to face the music. She had to get out there and do something, before it was too late. Let Kidd say whatever objection he had to doing it without killing, then she would make her move.
  22. GM The troll hurled forward, sometimes using its long arms to support its run, much like an ape or a gorilla would. There were no trees that could support its weight to swing from, however, and no billy goats or bridges inside, so it simply trampled down the path that the lights were showing. It was a race, indeed: A race for a goal, for a price. A race for the children, it seemed. Then the Void appeared. It was as if the troll could sense it. Maybe a kindred spirit? While running, it turned to look at the oily black being that came hurling towards it. It pushed back against the Void, it would not be stopped so easily, and yet it stumbled, a single step, maybe two. Enough for Lament to get closer.
  23. Will save for the Troll: 1d20+6 = 25 Still, the troll is suitably startled by the visual of the Void, losing a step. You're slowly catching up, but it is faster than Lament. Just running won't be enough!
  24. Robin at least understood that they wanted revenge, and it seemed to be aimed at Blowfish. And Detective Kidd had made it more than clear that he didn't like Blowfish one bit either. She didn't like those dynamite sticks one bit, even if it seemed kind of cartoonish. Did people really use real dynamite sticks like that anymore? Wasn't there some more elaborate bombs or something like that? Deciding not to correct Kidd, since it wouldn't really help with anything, she looked over at him. "So... Dynamite sticks. Really?" It was probably around the time that they should make their presence known in here... even if she didn't like the five vs two odds. Stop this before it actually goes anywhere. "You know more about this sort of thing than me. Is there any chance they'll stop if you tell them they're under arrest? I know they're bad guys, but shooting to kill doesn't sit right with me... if you can even stop the Wall with your gun." Robin's Justice Buster might do the trick, but it wasn't like Detective Kidd really knew about it. She looked around the room. Maybe there was something she could use to try and get an advantage.
