  2. Cassidy had heard people ranting like this before. He was on something, and it didn't take a genius to figure out what. Cassidy's friendly face quickly hard. As did the rest of his body as he stepped in between the rich kid and Amy. She could handle herself, but he'd seen her get tripped from that side before. What the hell was that drug? Someone getting high and going out of their mind, he could deal with. But how did that kid track it here? And all the crap he spouted? "Back off, kid. I'm not gonna ask you twice." Pops would get pissed if he got into a fight here, but Cassidy didn't really care. At least it wasn't out front.
  3. Pan grinned at Abigail's mention of all she could do being tricks. "I do like tricks. I have a few of my own." He couldn't help himself as he waved his hand over his hand, a few sparkling fireworks flying from it. Nothing bright or loud enough to annoy, but enough to look pretty at least. He was sure that others here could do much better than him, but he wanted to show off a bit too. He smiled, setting off from the ground again and floating over to catch up to Danica. "That all sounds absolutely lovely. I have heard of ice cream, is it as good as it seems? And what are these burgers? Can you put anything on them?" Maybe ice cream would be good on one of those burgers. He couldn't help but wonder.
  4. Pasta? Yeah, that helped with the legality here. Cassidy paused when the younger man spoke, turning to look at him. Expensive clothing. Not the kind of guy that normally showed up in Southside. In contrast, Cassidy was wearing a pair of worn in jeans and a t-shirt at least one size too small with the shop's logo, a cowboy riding a soup can like he was at a rodeo. Cassidy shot a quick look at Amy, wondering if she knew him, before turning to the stranger. "Sure, that might've happened." There was something about the other man's voice that annoyed Cassidy. Still, he tried to remain polite. He was at work, after all, and Pops had come down on him for being rude more than once in the past. "What're you looking for? We can check if it fits with our shipping manifest or not." Rich kid. Could be he was the one that had the questionably legal things. Maybe worth looking into.
  5. So, potentially legally questionable organic drugs in the crates. Cassidy frowned again. Yeah, he would have to check on everything. Still, it wasn't Amy's fault, and he knew that. "Don't worry, I know you're clean." He really hoped so, at least. "I mean, except for that Dave guy down at the distribution center. Pops swears that he's on something every time he gotta call him." Cassidy added the last with a grin, before he turned to carry the box in, while Amy continued getting the things off the truck. He had to at least try to make sure that nobody would try and open the boxes before he got them sorted, though. Better safe than sorry. He could just imagine old Granny Sanchez getting her hands on some Vietnamese mushroom or something like that when she tried to find something to put in her stew. After a quick sidetrip to the office to get some big red markers, Cassidy returned outside. He had marked everything he'd already put inside with big "DO NOT TOUCH" and his attempt at a skull. That would hopefully do the trick. "Alright, got anything else for me?"
  6. Pan readily accepted Micah's hand, shaking it vigorously while he returned Micah's smile. "Hello Micah, I'm Pan! Nice to meet you!" Pan let go and looked around at their small room. Micah had clearly already chosen a bed, but it wasn't like Pan had any special preferences, so he quickly dropped his bag on the other bed, then sat down to test it, bouncing a bit on it. It was nice. Not too hard, not too soft, but much better than what he had been used to. Pan was curious, though. And not about the bed. "So, I've seen a lot of people with great powers here today. What can you do?"
  7. "I hear ya." Cassidy wasn't a fan of the job, but it paid the bills, and it helped his parents, but he liked when Amy showed up. There were much worse drivers out there, and at least she tended to help. Some people just dumped everything in the middle of the road, and then he had to scramble to get it out of the way before any other trucks got here. He'd always liked her, but ever since the incident at the desert he'd found himself looking at her in a different way. He was changed, he knew that. He was pretty sure that she had noticed too. He could've sworn he had seen her looking at him different when they met in the gym. For a brief moment he considered using his newfound powers to haul the groceries inside, just to show off a bit, but it was probably better that he didn't. The mix up news brought him out of it. "Mix up? What happened?" He eyed the box he was carrying suspiciously for a moment before setting it down. Without waiting for a response he opened it to inspect the contents. "Sorry, gotta make sure we got all the right stuff. Pops'll kill me if he finds any mummies or meteors in here." He flashed a short grin at Amy before turning his attention back to the box. Damn, he would have to check everything here.
  8. Ignore this. Accidentally posted in the wrong active threads, sorry.

    Roommates

September 4, 2018 (Takes place after School Daze and Out For A Spin) After finishing Danica's tour, Pan had decided that it was finally time for him to actually find his room. He had a roommate that he was supposed to meet. As he walked through the hallways to find his room, his thoughts began to drift to a certain revelation earlier that day. Someone in this world had written a book called Peter Pan, and it had someone like him and someone very much like the Hooked Man. Pan wasn't sure why, but the thought of the book's existence disturbed him. Pan pushed the thoughts away. That was for later, not for now. For now, he had someone new to meet. His roommate. One Micah Roebuck. Great! Another new friend. At least he hoped so, otherwise it could be a long year in the same room together, but Pan was confident that he'd be able to win his roommate over if that was the case. So, showtime! With his back of few belongings slung over his shoulder, Pan pushed the door open and got ready to greet Micah if he was in the room.
  10. Like many of the others, Pan stared at Dio for a moment. Then he broke into a wide grin. "A dragon! That is brilliant!" He had only ever heard tales of them, but to see one in the flesh! His choice to join the academy continued to pay off. Still, try to focus on the events at hand. They are going to play, and they are introducing their characters. Good good. He's the last one to do so, and Alex has just given him the perfect opening, after all. "Then perhaps Oberon Underhill shall sing the songs of Lugnut's weapons! He is a Halfling bard!" He had put on a bit of dramatic air for his big reveal, as he planted his character sheet on the table. "The Underhill family are rich merchants from Baldur's Gate, but Oberon didn't care much for that. After some trouble, he eventually set out to be an adventurer! He seeks to find great tales that he can write greats songs about. And its even better if he can write about himself too!" Alright, not that different from himself with the lust for adventure, but Pan did like adventure. After finishing talking, he poured a bit of some dark brown liquid into his cup. It said Cola, and he had never tasted that, even if the color was a bit odd.
  11. "So many books..." Pan muttered, as he ran his fingers over some of the books at the top shelf while he floated by it in the direction that Adam had pointed out. He hadn't visited the library often, not since checking out the Peter Pan book after his first day, but he was always amazed. He had never seen this many books in his life before coming to the library. He really needed to come here more often. He had followed Ashley's example and was in full costume, including his mask. He knew he didn't really need it here, but he liked it. The darkness didn't exactly make it easy to see in here, but he did his best as he found one book by this Shakespeare fellow. At least the books seemed to be in order. "Oh, he wrote a lot of things, didn't he?" A volume? How many volumes did this fellow write? "The books are over here. Which one was it again?" He paused for a bit. "By the way, who is Dewey, and why should we curse him?"
  12. "Oh that is brilliant!" Pan exclaimed when the books floated. True, he was easy to amuse, but he it was still so exciting to see what everyone here could do. He managed to stay grounded this time. "Do you mind if I...?" Pan leaned closer, stretching a hand out to one of the books to show his intent. If Abigail didn't mind, he would touch one gently. Otherwise, he would just keep marvelling at them for a moment before turning back to the others. He felt his stomach growling at the mention of food. It would be nice with some good food here, even just some snacks would be nice. Not wanting to interrupt Danica's question, he simply followed as Danica led the way.

    Assemble!

Pan smiled at the thought. So, they would get put into teams to compete against each other. Oh, that would be good. Competition! Grand rivalries! He was already imagining using the exercises and competitions in the gym that Danica had shown him. Or, given what he had heard about this place, even wilder things. His eyes lit up as he happened on another thought, any memories of the curfew and restrictions momentarily forgotten. Maybe they would be judged on their adventures and the crimes that they stopped! Oh, that would be brilliant. He couldn't wait to see who he would be teamed up with.
  14. Dusted off - TA Dust Devil II As Supercape pointed out, I had Regeneration at 2 PP/Rank, while its supposed to be 1 PP/rank, so I got two extra PP to spend. Adding a feat and a power So, Regeneration should look like this: Regeneration 2 (Resurrection 1/day) [2PP] (Magic, Sand) And I'm adding Super-Movement as a power: Super-Movement 1 (Sand Man; Trackless; Flaws: Limited to Sand) [1 PP] (Magic, Sand) Changing the costs and total cost for powers to this: 27 + 3 + 10 + 2 + 1 + 12 + 5 = 60 And adding this feat: Favoured Environment [Desert] And I spotted that the Environmental Control power in the Magic Mesa Guardian Array is actually 4PP per level instead of 3, so please reduce its level from 8 to 6, which should clear up the issue. All other costs should remain the same. And for some reason Impervious Toughness in the Walking Desert Array is missing its level. It should be 10, as the math shows. Please add that. The Walking Desert Array itself should only be level 5 though. That's down to a mistake on my part. Math checks out for this. That should fix the issues.

    Assemble!

So many rules! And a curfew! And not letting them go out to explore the marvelous city that surrounded them! Pan frowned in his seat, even as he kept his attention on the headmistress. Well, for the most part at least. Hearing the commotion, he just managed to catch Nicole leaving the room. Part of him wanted to follow. Even if it was important to listen, he was not good at sitting still like this. And he was curious about what had happened. Still, he was at the front of the room, and leaving would probably attract the wrong kind of attention. With a sigh of defeat, he turned back towards the headmistress, waiting for her to continue. His thoughts quickly drifted. He hadn't been present for the Terminus Invasion, but he had heard about it from others, and he had seen the aftermath. Pan had wondered if it was the reason he had ended up here. It was probably just a coincidence, but part part of him doubted that. His travel between worlds and a major incursion into this world? If anything, him coming here could have been a side effect. At least in why he had come here out of all places, instead of anywhere else.
  16. Pan put on a mock frown, which quickly turned into a grin again. "Well, I think its nice to see everyone. Even you." His tone was a bit sour, but more playfully so than hostile. He waved after Micah, then turned his attention to another part of the group. Particularly those that had just mentioned a race. Pan immediately set of, flying over to Veronica and Dio. "I'm in! Just tell me when and where!" It had been ages since he had a proper race, not since leaving the pixies back home to join the Lost Heroes. So racing someone here in Freedom City, and someone that was an actual living dragon? That would be awesome. He blinked once, noticing that Veronica was standing there. "Oh, hi Veronica! Thank you so much for throwing the party! And to Janus too."
  17. Pan stepped out of the van next to Micah, giving him a huge grin as he took off from the ground. "C'mon, they won't bite!" Still, he decided to wait for him, flying next to his roommate as he approached the group. For his part, Pan was wearing a pair of dark red bathing trunks that went to just above his knees, with a dark green floral print on the left leg. Black flip flops barely held to his feet as he floated around, while he wore an open emerald green hawaii shirt with a white flower pattern, showing off his abs. If nothing else, he dressed in consistent colors. His red hair was a mess as usual. "Hello, everyone! Nice to see you all again!" His voice was full of his usual energy. It would be nice with a party and to just let loose.
  18. Oh, Pan was late. He was very very late. But the book had just been so exciting! So many adventures to be had, so many fantastic things to do and stories they could tell! Pan had never even heard about a roleplaying game before, but now he was hooked after reading through the book a few times. He had realized too late that he had basically none of the things needed for this. Like no dice! So, he had made a run into the city and had managed to find some nice emerald green dice with white numbers. One of each, from what he understood. He wasn't quite sure what to bring, but it seemed customary to bring something to eat, so he had picked up as many bags of chips and assorted candy that he could carry along with his book, dice and character sheet. With a wide grin, Pan flew into the room, quickly apologizing. "Sorry, sorry! I know I'm late! I only realized that I didn't have any dice an hour ago!" He put the bags down and did a quick bow. "I bring offerings! I hope I did it right!" Standing up straight, he grinned his usual happy grin as he looked at the assembled group. He knew most here, but wasn't sure if he had met Adam. "I'm Pan, so nice to meet you! And sorry again for being late!" He should probably start apologizing now, but he genuinely felt bad about it, now that Adam had gone out of his way to organize this.
  19. That didn't really work out the way Pan had hoped. His energy bands just swirled around inside Facsimile instead of actually holding him in any way. The garbled mess of voices that were Facisimile's voice made sense to him, and he couldn't hold on much longer. Whatever they did, he might end up destroying his way home. He had already decided it wasn't worth somebody's life, so instead he listened. The bald man, the odd one, he shouted about the armbands and throwing them into the vortex. So, a choice. Porpoise or Eagle, who should he go for? A quick flight over to the paralyzed Platinum Porpoise on the floor, and Pan began to try and pull the armbands off. If he succeeded, great. He would throw them straight at the vortex. If they were locked on too tightly to be moved, he would go with plan B and pull Platinum Porpoise off the floor and try throwing him into the Vortex instead.
  20. I'll join the thread once I'm back from vacation next week so I don't hold it up. Pan sent a text that he was running late or something like that
  21. Pan was just about to let out a victory cry, and then everything went crazy. They had it, they stopped the bad guys, and then the Facsimile guy went absolutely crazy. Pan hadn't seen anything like it ever before. He was constantly shifting, changing. There were uncountable voices, he was a blur of motion, energy leaking everywhere creating rifts all around them. Pan paused for a brief second, considering the possibilities. One of these rifts might lead him home to Neverworld, but if it were doors to other worlds like the villain had said, then it could destroy everything here. Even if he returned home, that really wouldn't be worth it. So, stop Facsimile. Contain him and stop all those random movements. Glowing bands materialized in Pan's hands again, before he threw it at Facsimile, hopefully containing his movements and the random energy pulses. "Do anyone know how to stop this?" Everyone else here had to know more about this machine and Facsimile than Pan did.
  22. Pan's going to try to contain Facsimile and the leaking energies with his snare. Do I need an attack roll or another roll?
  23. Pan turned to the new voice, his right hand already rising in a happy wave. It was clear that she and Danica knew each other, so Pan waited with a smile while Danica did the introductions. He made a slight bow, attempting to mimic the one that Kam had used earlier. "Hello Abby, nice to meet you." Standing up straight again, he offered his hand to shake. "I'm Pan." He decided against telling about Neverworld, he had just gone through that with the others, after all. And he still had to try reading that book.
  24. Pan will be there to compete with Leroy for getting way too much into it. He will be a bard.
  25. Pan stopped his movements in mid-air completely as Platinum Porpoise called out to him. He would lose his home forever if that strange thing they had come to steal exploded? Wait, that thing could actually let him get home, and if they kept this up, that whole thing might explode and rob him of that? Honestly, Pan wasn't quite sure if he fully understood what was going on, but he wasn't about to be robbed of his chance to go home. His thoughts raced a hundred miles a minute. The other guy, the one that had just called out to him, he was using the power of the doorway, somehow? Is that what would caues the doorway to explode? They had to end this quick, then. Another ball of energy flickered into Pan's hand. He should throw it at the bird. Get him down for the count. Keep going. But he turned to the Porpoise instead, quickly flying down closer to him while pulling his arm back for the throw. "Shut him down! Quick!" He threw the golden ball straight at Platinum Porpoise, but the sudden panic in his voice was very different from the confidence he had shown just the moment before.
