GM The bone glove smacks into Toxin's armored face. There is a cracking sound, and she slowly turns to look at Ghule. The look in her eyes behind the dirty visor is a mix of pain, anger and fear. Out—out are the lights—out all! And, over each quivering form, "You don't understand! He has to die! He's..." She stops and stares at Ghule, then reach out, a burning touch from her hand as she yells. "To hell with you! Get out of my way!" Acid burns from where Toxin opened her suit, pressing her hand against Ghule's abdomen, where it begins to burn through clothes and flesh. The curtain, a funeral pall, Comes down with the rush of a storm.

That's a hit, with +3 to DC, for DC26. TOU save: 29 Toxin tanks the hit! She is pissed and attacks Ghule with an acid touch: 18, which is enough to hit. @Lone_Star: Give me a DC25 TOU save. Spaceman "I'm just... I just think I'm going to take a few steps away from that..." Parker says, looking at the faint glow. Baz is a great guy, even if he's weird, but he's a bit too casual about the radioactivity. Stepping back, closer to the edge of the roof, Parker shrugs at Lawrence's question. "I don't know. Just feels weird. Like deja vu, like I said." He stops. "But while we wait, I never did catch up about your mom after the big reveal at the party!" The slightly worried expression turns to a grin. "C'mon, your mom's Velocity! How did you keep that a secret?"

GHOST Casper stops in his tracks, staring at Grimalkin as she turns. Yeah, that motion does all kinds of interesting things to her dress. "Yeah, uh, just... just a sec." Ghost quickly pulls his mask up, raises the glass to his lips and empties the champagne, before putting it down on the tray of a passing server without looking. Holding his hand out, he offers it to Grim, while he pulls his mask down again with his other hand. "I gotta warn you, though. I'm a terrible dancer." At least he's got enough control not step on any feet.

The STORMCROW Charlie flinches for a moment, pausing as a message pops up on the upper left corner of the HUD on the inside of his glasses. Doktor Archeville had arrived to join the party. Charlie had never met the man, but he had been in the files that Alek had made him go through on numerous occasions. Should he do something? No. Probably not. The Freedom League is here, and according to the feed in his glasses, it does not seem like Archeville is here for trouble. He shakes it off instead. He can keep an eye on things, but there's people here more qualified to deal with Archeville if there's trouble. People with history. "Well, let's party then," Charlie says, holding out a hand and smiling at Bernadette. "Unless you just want to find another mistletoe, of course."

GHOST "Sure. Better you than me," Ghost says, raising a glass that he had grabbed while they chatted in a toast. "Knock 'em dead." So, what now? Hang around and wait? Go look for more food? Or maybe... Ghost perks up a little bit when he notices two people that he knows. He smiles under his mask, as he begins literally moving through the crowds, floating through several people, most either calling out to him to cut it out, or just at him, clearly creeped out. Finally, he moves through the back of a man dressed in a nice tailored suit, raising his glass to Grimalkin and Fleur de Joie as he comes through in his costume with the added red butterfly. "Grim, Fleur! It's been a while, how are you?"

The STORMCROW Charlie is already by the side of the stage when Multiplicity leaves to cheers, smiling widely at each in turn. "You were great! Even better than last time I caught a show!" Well, maybe he shouldn't have said that, but hey, he can always tell Bernie what he means later, if she catches it. "So, what's up next?" he asks, before stopping as Velocity pulls off her mask. "Huh. I did not see that coming." He doesn't sound as surprised as he is, though. Security's tight here, of course, but there's people like Bernie's band (he has of course made sure to vet them himself), and a bunch of kids around that might catch it, or well, a lot of people. "Sorry, Bernie, but I think she just stole you guys' thunder there."

Spaceman Parker's eyes go wide the moment Velocity pulls off her mask. Before she even says who she is, he is staring at Lawrence, forgetting everything else he had been thinking about before. He recognizes her. He knows her. She is Lawrence's mom! "Your mom is Velocity!?" he exclaims, all pretense of trying to be calm and at home at the party all but gone. "That means... you, your powers... and..." He stops for a moment, shaking his head, when Mizuki moves over to ask him to dance. "Lawrence, we gotta talk later. This is wild." So, this means... Alright. Parker can guess why Lawrence would keep it secret, why he wouldn't want to share it even with him and Baz (or did Baz know?), but Velocity is just fast, right? Not time powers? How would that even... Parker stops himself. It's not something he knows anything about. He will have to talk with Lawrence instead, but... for now, Consuelo has gone dancing, Mizuki is going dancing with Lawrence it seems and... yeah. They completely ignored him. Great. "Hey Baz, I think I see Vicki with Michael and Carmen. I'll head over there and give Mizuki and Lawrence some space." Pun definitely intended. Making his way through the crowds, it takes a moment for Parker to reach Vicki, Carmen and Michael (unless the last two have left). "Hey guys, that was wild about Lawrence and his mom, right?" he asks, before turning to Vicki specificially. "You've known Lawrence for a while, right, Vicki?" he asks. "Me too, but I had no idea. Did they ever tell you anything?"

Spaceman "I don't know," Parker responds, looking over Lawrence. "Seem like it's too cold for anyone to want to try anything." Parker is dressed in a pair of jeans and heavy boots, with a thick white winter jacket over himself to keep warm, all over his Claremont uniform. "Do you guys feel weird?" Parker asks, holding his arms around himself to try and keep warm. "I'm not sure how to explain it. It's like... something big is coming? More than the robbers we usually stop? Kinda like a deja vu?"

GM A Saturday evening in early January... It is dark and cold, but the streets in Southside are active anyway, with people moving around, doing their business, whatever it might be. Southside is not the nicest neighborhood in town, but it is not the worst either. Still, there is a good chance of trouble, and it has been one of the spots where Parker, Baz and Lawrence has snuck out to look for trouble and do some patrols. It has not been a regular thing, but they have done it a few times so far. It has mostly been stopping purse snatchers or would be robbers. Nothing big, nothing that they couldn't handle pretty easily. But today, as they're watching from the top of a building overlooking a street, waiting for anything to happen? They all have a feeling that it might be different.

GHOST "Eh, it was much better than anything I would've come up with," Ghost says with a shrug, before holding up his hand. "One sec." He quickly stuffs the snack he was holding into his mouth and quickly chews, before pulling his mask down over his mouth. "Sorry, it was getting awkward to hold on to that. And I get it. I'm only around Freedom, and I'm plenty busy myself. Lots to do all the time." "Honestly, I had no idea that anyone ever read those reports." Ghost takes a breath, and then. "So, uh... Sorry about some of the more rambling moments. And the jokes. And, ah, the points where I start going on about how boring it is filling out reports... and the ones where I had to rush off mid report and then never got back to it."

Spaceman Parker turns to Velocity the moment she is on the stage, forgetting everything around him for the moment. The Freedom League... they're the ultimate goal to him. Becoming a member, maybe more... becoming like the Centurion. They're all muddling through, all just trying their best. So maybe he doesn't have to put himself up to such high standards yet? Maybe it's fine to just relax and do things at his own pace, instead of trying to be the very best already? And then... music. That is Bernadette, right? Multi-Girl. She is a few years ahead of Parker, but he has met her a few times. She is good. The band is good. And maybe he should follow Velocity's lead and relax a little bit. "Sorry, but, excuse me," he says to Fleur, instead turning towards Mizuki, Consuelo, Lawrence and Baz. "Do you want to get out on the dance floor?" It should be easier with more of them, at least. Then he's not asking anyone specific out with him.

GHOST "That was nice," Ghost says, having moved over to where Velocity has moved after leaving the scene. His mask is still pulled up to reveal his mouth, a few snacks in one of his hands. His costume is somehow staying nice and clean white and light grey despite it all. "Real uplifting to all the kids out there." He gives her a thumbs up while he talks, even if he sounds tired, like usual. "Guess they can use that, right?" "Don't think we've run into each other much. I'm Ghost, been with the League a bit, but haven't really gotten to do much with you guys. Life and the city's keeping me too busy to show up to most meetings, I guess."

The STORMCROW Charlie adjusts his tie as he makes his way back into the party. His hair is slightly ruffled, but otherwise, he has done his best to hide any hint of the events under the mistletoe. Still, he is smiling, a big, genuine smile, one where there's no doubt that he means it. He knows what is about to happen, of course he does. Bernadette and her band. Charlie still haven't told her that he caught their last performance, but at the moment, he is focused on Velocity's speech. One day they might be up there? Maybe. It's what he aimed for one day, but not now. He got other plans. One day he and his friends will be standing on their own stage, not the League's. And he can't wait. Charlie is brought out of his thoughts when Bernie and Multiplicity takes the stage, and his smile only grows wider as they begin to perform. He suppresses the urge to lean close to the nearest and telling them that he just made out with the singer, and instead just listens to the music, while he begins to move through the crowd to try and find any of his friends. Muirne and Luke should still be here somewhere, at least.

Spaceman "I'm honestly not much for parties, but I try," Parker replies to Fleur de Joie. Stesha. She just wants to be called Stesha. Which feels very weird. "It felt rude not to come when invited." Like Lawrence, he notices the commotion with Consuelo and the shadow woman... person... well, whatever it is. He has learned from experience not to get in her business, but still... Parker raises his hand to do a short, awkward wave to Mizuki and Consuelo.

WISHED AWAY by Thev A small update for Forever Boy's description. Please change it to this, including the picture, removing the old ones: --- Pan is an attractive young man with wild, semi-long dark red hair and green eyes. He has an athletic build, which he doesn’t mind showing with mostly form fitting clothing. Pan prefers green and red clothing, rarely wearing any dark colors. He almost always seem to be smiling. In uniform, Pan wears an emerald green suit with golden yellow details. A golden yellow line runs up the front of each of his legs from his feet, where he wears flared red pirate boots with golden yellow soles and detailing. The yellow lines on his legs run up past his belt and up his ribs, curving in and meeting at his solar plexus. A pair of stylized golden yellow wings stretch out from that connecting point of the golden lines at his solar plexus and up his chest to his shoulders, where they run around and connect at his back. The uniform ends in a golden ring at Pan's neck. He wears green gloves that seem to be part of the sleeves until he takes them off. He wears a red belt with a golden buckle, as well as an emerald green domino mask. Pan has taken to wearing a dark red coat with golden details, often wearing it both with and without his uniform.

GHOST Kind of amazing, isn't it? Big christmas parties among all the heroes in Freedom and beyond, and somehow, everything is just all fine and dandy, everyone just walking around in their secret identities, chatting and introducing themselves, chatting, being friendly and everything. Well, not quite everyone. Not the friendly neighborhood Ghost, no. He is in full costume, white and grey, with his goggles pushed up to his forehead, leaving his eyes visible, and his white mask pulled up to free his mouth, leaving him free to eat as many sandwiches as he can reach. He has shaven, and added a red butterfly to his costume for the event. Most people tend to keep their distance, but he's used to that. At least the food is good.

Bernadette and her band is done. Part of him wants to go up there, congratulate her, and he can already see Luke and Leon going there, but... no. Not yet. Things still aren't ready. With a smile, he instead withdraws, pulling back into the crowds and moving towards the exit. Next time, maybe, but for now, there's still things to set up, and he still has to find out what a few of his other friends have been up to lately.

Spaceman Parker shrugs, after Lawrence's explanation. "I know that I still have a lot to learn about my powers and what I can do, so if you feel like you need guidance, you're not the only one." It isn't something that he usually likes to advertise, but on the other hand, it sounds like Vicki would feel better if she wasn't the only one.
