  1. GM Ms. Scorpion shrieks, taking a step back the moment the device explodes into the rapidly expanding foam. Casanova starts cursing up a storm, struggling but failing to get out of it. "Who did that!?" Her scream is barely heard over the general screams of shock and terror from seeing Paper's dinosaur. Except for her, Ghule and Shadowborne, no one seems to notice what has happened to Casanova. Moving closer, she begins to pull at the foam, but with little effect. "Somebody help out here!" From behind Ms. Scorpion and Casanova, Chump has pushed up from his sitting position. He is already mid-leap when Casanova is caught, pulling himself to the side as he flies straight into the paper dinosaur in a flying shoulder tackle.
  2. The STORMCROW Despite the situation, despite what is going on down there, with a friend caught up in Shields' plans, despite however many people Shields got on his side, Charlie can't keep the smile from his lips as he sneaks through the building. He had seen Bernie, Luke and Leon approaching, he had passed over them, unnoticed and entered the building from above while they took a more direct approach, and now? Now they are drawing all the attention while he is kneeling on the rafters above, his dark cape wrapped tightly around him, helping to hide him from sight. His friends will probably be pissed, sure, but he had to get things right, had to get them all ready... well, at least until he found out what Shields was up to with Muirne. It isn't quite time to reveal himself, though, instead he speaks into his communicator, barely a whisper. "The gang's all here. Let's go for some shock and awe. Try to aim a bit South of the center, then you'll avoid me." Reaching into his belt, he pulls out a small, bird shaped device and smiles again. Shields is gonna hate this. From his position above, he drops it, watching as it hits Shields' shoulder and explodes into a rapidly expanding dark grey foam, which begins to harden as soon as its covered him, keeping him in place.
  3. Alright, time for me to to do some things Stormcrow is in hiding somewhere, and will try to Snare Casanova: 26, which is a hit. Casanova rolling Reflex Save vs. DC20: 11, ouch, bound and helpless unless someone helps him. Notice vs. spotting Charlie: 7, nope. Ms. Scorpion tries to free Casanova. DC19 TOU save for the Snare: 21, it holds. Chump runs for the dinosaur and attacks it. @Spacefurry give me a DC30 TOU save for the Giant Paper Dinosaur Whenever anyone fights anyone that is not Ms. Scorpion, Chump or Casanova at a range close enough to see their faces, make a DC20 Notice Check. If you pass, read the spoiler: And @Heritage is up once I finish writing my IC posts, followed by @Lone_Star 27 - Bluebird - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 4HP - Unharmed - Giant Paper Dinosaur: TOU+10 - Unharmed? 22 - Stormcrow - 7HP - Unharmed 22 - Ms. Scorpion - Unharmed 22 - Chump - Unharmed -> 19 - Shift - 3HP - Unharmed 18 - Ghule - 1HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 18 - Toxin - Unharmed 16 - Casanova - Unharmed 12 - Multi-Girl - 1HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 4HP - Unharmed 10 - Shadowborne - 3HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 5 - Minions - x10 - Unharmed
  4. GM "Intruders!" the figure in the doorway yells, pointing towards Multi-Girl. As he turns away, the greenish light from the floor. Then, a woman yells and there is a whistling sound. The man in the doorway just has the time to throw himself away, before an empty metal barrel comes flying into the room that Multi-Girl, Paper and Nightscale has begun to enter. It hits the door, which ruins the aim, and it crashes along the ground without hitting anyone. With the door way no longer blocked, the group can see Bluejay, the vice-principal's telekinetic daughter. Her blue hood and costume is noticeably more ragged than the last time any of them saw her when she graduated at the same time as Luke and Leon. She had been part of Casanova's New Young Freedom, and, some of them at least, had fought against her on multiple occasions. She had always been more interested in the fame than the heroics, which was just why she had worked Casanova in the first place, but right now, she seemed strangely silent. Inside the main warehouse, Bluebird is not alone. Various old containers have been pushed aside, clearing the middle of the room. The floor is painted with all kinds of arcane and eldritch symbols, candles are burning around them with greenish flames, wavering in the wind after the barrel that had been thrown. Ten or so men and women, who, judging by their clothing, seem to be homeless turn around from the tasks they were performing to stare at the door. They all have a vacant look in their eyes. By the wall opposite of the door that the heroes are standing by, a large man sits on the floor. Chump. Super strong, super tough. He does not seem like he is happy to be there. He is wearing a pair of jeans and a dark blue shirt with the sleeves torn off. The cop's badge he used to display so proudly is still attached to the shirt, but it is bent. Toxin looks down from above, sitting on a container. She is still dressed in her containment suit, but it is dirty. The yellow and black lines, the clear danger symbol, it doesn't stand out as clearly as it used to, and the clear face mask is no longer clear. None of the heroes can see her face. In the middle of the eldritch sigils on the floor stands Casanova. He is the only one so far that does not look like a mess. His hair is combed nicely, he is dressed in an uniform in the Claremont colors, and he is smiling. His face is not as pretty as it used to be, his nose never quite being the same after Nevermore broke it during a fight. He is staring madly at the door, the smile frozen on his face. By his side stands a woman in a skin tight grey, armored uniform, a whip in her hand. The students at Claremont used to know her as Stinger, where she would wear a cowboy inspired costume. She was outed as Ms. Scorpion, the daughter of the Sportsman and Princess Poison, during one of the group's last outings before Nevermore disappeared. Her new costume shows clear inspiration from her namesake. She still bears a grudge after Nightscale burned her, which had made her parents and her brother, the second Sportsman, to attack the group during the conflict where her true identity was outed. She is clearly happy to see Luke again. A woman that none of the group recognizes stands by Casanova and Ms. Scorpion. She has curly black hair and marble white skin. None of the group recognizes Ghule, but she has been there for a while now. And finally... sitting on the ground by Casanova is Muirne Sceadusangere. Shadowborne. Luke's girlfriend who, as far as he knows, has been in England with her family for the last several months. There seems to be a thin dark tendril of smoke that connects her to Casanova. Sebastian Shields, Casanova, stares out at the people inside the door. His smile turns into a frown. "Get them! Don't let them ruin everything!"
  5. Alright, the combat with way too damn many combatants are ready and set up, and I'll start off with a GM post to set it up and take Bluebird's action, then @Spacefurry is next. Be nice, I need to get properly back into the system, and because of course I gotta do something big for that! I have, for the ease of me not needing to make GM posts in between every single hero action, moved the combat order for the villains around a bit, delaying some of them until after the next hero. With a minion having discovered Multi-Girl, Bluebird telekinetically lifts a barrel and throw it towards the door and at Multi-Girl, and misses with a 13. That means that @Spacefurry is up next, after my IC. And whenever anyone fights anyone that is not Ms. Scorpion, Chump or Casanova at a range close enough to see their faces, make a DC20 Notice Check. If you pass, read the spoiler: 27 - Bluebird - Unharmed -> 24 - Paper - 4HP - Unharmed 22 - Stormcrow - 7HP - Unharmed 22 - Ms. Scorpion - Unharmed 22 - Chump - Unharmed 19 - Shift - 3HP - Unharmed 18 - Ghule - 1HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 18 - Toxin - Unharmed 16 - Casanova - Unharmed 12 - Multi-Girl - 1HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 4HP - Unharmed 10 - Shadowborne - 3HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 5 - Minions - x10 - Unharmed
  6. @Huckleberry It's not quite what he does here, but it just looks like he's punching at the air or moving his arms, but the hits or the grabs happen to whoever he does it too. Kinda like telekinesis but he has to actually move his arms. There will be some kirky krackle happening around him when he does it, but nothing to the same degree as what he's doing now.
  7. Spaceman Parker chuckles at the sleeve and snow comment, but shrugs, as well as he can while holding the stack of books. "This is Freedom. It always seem to snow in the winter, so you can probably expect it next year too." Baz being his usual outgoing self, saying weird things like normal. Honestly, Parker's gotten used to him, and Vicki is thankfully calm about it. And he hasn't offered her any body parts. Yet. "You're from England? So what brings you here? Most of us started back in September. Did whatever makes you, err... fit for Claremont, I guess, only happen recently?"
  8. Spaceman This is... not what they had planned. Torpedo Lass' plan had been good, but it seems like Factor Four weren't too keen on letting them follow it. Did the principal do that on purpose? It doesn't matter. Parker doesn't have time to think about it. The gas woman, she's all around him, trying to suffocate him, get in his lungs. He manages to catch a breath before she's there, but he can't keep doing that. He tries throwing a punch, waving her away, but it doesn't matter. No matter what distances he change, he can't touch something like that. He can move away, attacking someone else, but then one of the others will have to deal with it. He can't do that. Principal Summers told them not to hold back. Fine. Black crackle begins to rise from Spaceman's hands, then his arms, then his entire body. More and more, bigger and bigger. And he reaches forward. Through the distance between dimensions. Breaking the barrier between the 3rd and 4th dimension. A distorted shadow of a hand looms around Sylph, more crackle rising all around it as it tries to close around her. It is difficult to aim, difficult to control... but alright. He'll do it.
  9. I'm going to do a stunt off Parker's Space Control Array Move Object 8 (Extras: Damaging; Flaws: Action [Full Action], Distracting; Feats: Affects Insubstantial 2, Homing, Indirect 3, Subtle 2) {32/32} (Descriptors: 4th Dimensional Shadow, Spatial Manipulation, Dimensional Breach, Gravity) Spending a HP to get rid of the Fatigue for that next turn, and then I'm gonna spend a Full Action to attack Sylph: 16 I doubt that's a hit (but the Indirect 3 and Subtle 2 might help?), but in case it is, that's a DC23 TOU save for Sylph, and I'd like to establish a grapple: 24 The effect of the power around Parker is full on kirby krackle/dots.
  10. Just putting things together first, then I'll edit when I do the bad guy rolls. Stormcrow: 22 Bad guys Casanova: 16 Chump: 22 (after Stormcrow, smaller bonus) Toxin: 19 (after Shift, smaller bonus) Bluebird: 27 Ms. Scorpion: 23 Minions: 5 27 - Bluebird - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 4HP - Unharmed 23 - Ms. Scorpion - Unharmed 22 - Stormcrow - 7HP - Unharmed 22 - Chum - Unharmed 19 - Shift - 3HP - Unharmed 19 - Toxin - Unharmed 18 - Ghule - 1HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 16 - Casanova - Unharmed 12- Multi-Girl - 1HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 4HP - Unharmed 10 - Shadowborne - 3HP - Unharmed, Under the effects of DC22 Mind Control 5 - Minions - x10 - Unharmed
  11. Spaceman Parker is carrying a number of books. He didn't exactly expect that he would have to do normal homework on top of everything related to being a super hero, but turns out, Claremont wants you to actually become a functioning member of society too. It is not really annoying, just unexpected, and now he had needed some books for a philosophy class. Not the easiest thing. Science? That was much simpler, and that all made sense. Looking up from his stack of books, he smiles warmly at Vicki, shifting the books to his left hand and holding them, while holding his right hand out to her to offer to shake her hand. "Hi Vicki, welcome to Claremont." His tone is friendly and welcoming. He has done enough to make people mad at him already, so he would prefer to not do that with one of Lawrence's friends. "How are you finding the school so far?"
  12. Fort Save: 28
  13. @Thevshi @Nerdzul @Spacefurry @Kaede Kimura @Lone_Star give me some initiative rolls. Just use the values for your updated sheets for those with new sheets or pending updates. @Nerdzul feel free to make a post still!
  14. Spaceman The scene shifts around them, and with nothing to hold onto, Parker lets go. He can't do anything against a Hologram that isn't there anyway. And then, the new scene, he feels like he has heard about those four elements before. Factor Four? He doesn't really have time to react to it anyway, before Consuelo flies up to him and unloads. He can feel the pressure from her, pushing at him, an anger burning under his skin, pushing up against him, wanting to explode, to yell at her about how she should do better then, but... No. He won't let it. Because... "You're right. I don't know anything about what you've gone through or what your life has been like. I'm sorry." He is clearly struggling against Consuelo's aura, but his voice is calm, and he does sound truly apologetic. He makes sure to look in her eyes as she speaks, not looking away. "I didn't mean to put you down or criticize you, and I'm sorry that I made you feel like that was what I meant to do." A breath. Steel himself against that feeling. Show Consuelo that she does not have to feel like she can't get close to him because of her powers. "But you are wrong about me too. I don't know who else principal Summers might mean when she talks about holding back, but I'm one of them. I've destroyed plenty of beds. And walls. And cars. And pretty much anything else. I am always holding back. I don't know what your powers feel like, or what it is like when you let go, but me? I'm constantly struggling to keep things at the right distance, to not push something away, to not flatten the space between atoms and squashing something." Parker sighs and shakes his head. His own experiences doesn't matter here. "But that still doesn't excuse making you feel like that. I promise you that I'll do better." He waits for a moment, before floating down to Mizuki. "Sorry, you're right. We'll need to work together." Elements. What can he do against them? "I like the plan, but the principal said we need to keep the people safe too. I got pretty much unlimited range, so I can try to run interference to keep them safe, and then help out the rest of you when I can?"
  15. Rolling to resist Rot's angry aura: 18 Parker does not turn hostile! Also, Personal Space Control array switched back to Impervious Toughness and Immovable.
  16. Spaceman Parker smiles at rather determined smile at Lawrence. "I never said they were." He knows what he can do, of course, but he doesn't know the limits. Or if there are any, beyond him. And honestly? Part of that scares him, just like Lawrence's powers could be scary. And then... Owain rides in on a horse. For some reason, that just catches Parker completely off guard. He's not even sure why, but something about it is too out of place, and he's taken out of it. "Owain, I've been meaning to ask, do you bring that horse everywhere?"
  17. Well, spending a HP to get rid of the Fatigued state that I would've been in, then rolling initiative: 11 Hey, slightly better than last time
  18. Spaceman "Fair enough, but..." Spaceman pulls his right hand back, while still keeping his left hand clenched and, then throws a punch with his right hand. Even at this distance, even without it seeming like he actually touches the hologram, he takes Strand down with a single blow. "Is that what you would do if this was not a training exercise?" Consuelo knows her powers better than him. She knows what she is doing, right? Baz went down, but he's tough, and there's both him, Consuelo and Mizuki out here, dealing with the last two, while Lawrence is on his own... Turning towards the labyrinth. He can sense two people moving around in there. Lawrence and the Blur hologram. Lawrence is running around hitting the buttons, so he has to be closer to those, the other one has to be Blur. And then, he reaches out, and the space around Blur seems to constrict around him, running endlessly in place. "Timeout! I've caught Blur, hit him!"
  19. Alright, gonna Surge to get an extra action, and use free actions to switch my Personal Space Control Array to Impervious Toughness and Immovable, and Space Control Array to Move Object. I'm gonna try to grapple Blur using Move Object (Perception Range), which puts Parker's defense down to just 11 since it's distracting. 1d20+28 = 48 to try and pin him (and maybe make bound and helpless too?). I'm not sure if a rolling a 20 when establishing a grapple counts as a crit or not, since it's not the roll to actually hit?
  20. Can I use my Super-Senses to find out where Blur is inside the labyrinth? Super-Senses 6 (Distance Sense, Spatial Awareness [Sense Type: Mental, Extras: Accurate, Acute, Radius, Ranged]) [6PP] (Descriptors: Spatial Senses, Enhanced Senses, Mutation, Space/Spatial, Z-Space)
  21. Alright, who's left?
  22. Since I got the feat that lets me use my other hand while grappling with one hand, I'd like to do a Coup de Grace on Strand using a full round action, while maintaining the grapple as a free action. I'm doing it as a Power Attack, so DC+2, and it will be an automatic hit and Critical, so TOU save DC30 for Strand. If Strand isn't KO'ed by the attack, she has to make a Fort save at DC25 (DC10 + 8 from Strength + 2 from Power Attack + 5 from Crit) or get KO'ed. Depending on how that works out, I might have some more things I'd like to do.
  23. GM Bernadette and her duplicate enter through what seems to be a loading dock, where the crates would have been prepared, but it is now mostly empty. It is cut off from the rest of the building by a wall with a door that stands open, which seems to be the source of the greenish light. It would be reasonable to guess that the room that the door leads into is the main warehouse floor. As the duplicate moves closer to the bound man on the floor, it becomes clear from the look in his eyes that he is not quite there, almost like his body is just moving on its own. He barely seems to notice, and doesn't react to the duplicate at all at least, continuing to struggle against the bonds. Suddenly, a figure blocks the green light from the open door, casting a long shadow on Bernadetta and her duplicate. Like the one on the ground, their clothes are ragged, but it is otherwise difficult to make out anything about the figure. They watch, they have clearly spotted you, but they don't call out. Not just yet, at least.
  24. For the record, since I'd forgotten to roll at the start: Master Plan roll from Stormcrow: 18, so that's a +3 bonus to all skill and attacks rolls for 3 rounds, before decreasing by 1 per round until the bonus is gone. A good roll for Notice see if they spot you at 22, though the 22 notice means that you spot them too! IC coming up, and then I'd like to see what @Nerdzul and @Spacefurry are gonna do!
