  1. Alright, Mattie's gonna be the distraction, then, unless there's any objections?
  2. GM "Alright, kids! Are you ready to show us all what you can do?" They don't really recognize the voice that's speaking to them. It's a man, probably someone in his 30'es, not anyone that they have met before. "We'll run a simple thing here, give you all a chance to show off and show us what you can do." The Doom Room changes. They find themselves in the middle of Freedom Park, in an area filled with trees, some rivers, and ahead, a gazebo. There's a number of men and women inside the gazebo, kneeling on the floor with their hands behind their heads. They are surrounded by a group of 8. 7 of them are men, all clad in various sports themed uniforms. Football uniforms, baseball uniforms, soccer outfits, baseball outfits. 6 of those are holding rifles, while the last, clad in a baseball player uniform with a blue mask underneath, has a backpak with various tools, and is tossing a baseball up and down. The 8th member of the group is a young brunette woman, clad in a pink bathing suit and pink mask, with a yellow cape, as well as purple glove and pixie boots. They all seem to be on the lookout. "Alright, you got some bad guys to take care of here. Thought I'd bring out some classic. Your mission's to save all the hostages, so get to it."
  3. Alright, sorry for that delay. Heri is gonna stay out of this for now, so let's get going. Init rolls: Bounce: 26 Princess Poison: 7 Sportsman: 21 Thugs: 10 26 - Animist - 3HP - Unharmed 26 - Bounce - 3HP - Unharmed 21 - Sportsman - Unharmed 20 - Hurricane Jones - 2HP - Unharmed 18 - Harlequin - 3HP - Unharmed 10 - Thugs - Minions, x6 7 - Princess Poison - Unharmed which means that @Nerdzul gets to go first!
  4. GM "Hey!" Tracy does not sound happy about being taken away like that, but at least she understands why. "You better get back there as soon as you can and help out! If that big brain thing is a psychic, then try to break the connection or something!" Back in the laboratory, the Big Brain stares intensely at Iris and Daniel. It seems like he doesn't even care about Tracy, Michael or Parker. He seems to radiate pure hatred, as the Apparation moves towards Iris. One moment it is by Daniel, and the next it is by Iris. Teleportation? Or just fast? It doesn't matter. It reaches out for her, but before it can touch her, Parker is between them. The creature's touch sends shocks through his body, but he can take it, at least for now.
  5. Spaceman Everything goes too fast. And Tracy is there, and she's in danger. What should Parker do? Save her? Help his friends? Michael takes care of that issue, at least, when he speeds off Tracy. Alright. Everyone is still in danger, but now everyone here can fight, at least. Can he even touch that thing? He isn't sure. Instead, he focuses and tries to freeze it in place... and it doesn't work. It's too damn quick. He'll have to punch it, then.
  6. @Poncho saving Tracy gets you a HP, but you'll have to spend a Movement action to get back into the fight on your turn. For ease of posting, I'll move Cerebellum up to take his turn after Cerebral, since that's all heroes in order anyway. Parker is going to try to Paralyze the Apparation, which is a DC19 Reflex Save, which it just makes by getting a total 19. Big Brain continues to power up the Apparation. The Apparation strikes back by attacking Cerebral. Spaceman interposes for that: 21, which is a hit, meaning Parker will have to do a 21 Fort Save. Fort Save: 27, tanked. Then @Dracostern is up! 33 - Big Brain Projection - Unharmed 26 - Apparation - Bruise (x1) 17 - Cerebral - 1HP - Unharmed 17 - Cerebellum - Unharmed 9 - Golden Star - 2HP - Unharmed 5 - Spaceman - 4HP - Unharmed
  7. We are effectively out of combat, but things are turning bad now, so we'll keep the turn order. The Holes in Reality are multiplying greatly, destabilizing the area! Anyone touching them will be hurt. @Poncho is up! 25 - Rex Atom (Miniscule Size) - 4HP - Unharmed 20 - Hole In Reality A - Bruise (x1), Dazed 17 - Hole In Reality B - Unharmed 17 - Madame Raven - 4HP - Unharmed 16 - The Dreamer - 1HP - Unharmed 16 - Hole In Reality C - Unharmed 13 - Hole In Reality D - Unharmed 9 - Devon 51 - 3HP - Unharmed Save the Woman: 8/8
  8. GM With the Dreamer's final effort, the woman is pulled free. The interdimensional energies from the breach dissolve the gremlins, as the blonde woman falls to the ground. Shards of rainbow light from the breach between realities fall all around them. The woman is young. 15 or 16, maybe. She has long blonde hair. Her outfit is damaged enough that it is difficult to make out what it is. A super hero uniform, a regular outfit from her world? The strain of finally breaking into Z-Space knocked her out, at least. In the rip behind her, the Academics can just see another hole in reality peeking thorugh, before it closes. As the woman lies on the ground, the holes in reality freeze. And then, there are more of them. And more. The very air around the heroes begin to become wobbly. Gravity begins to shift. The remains of the building that they are starting up to begins to crack. They have little time to escape.
  9. GM Max Mars is, if anything, a narcicist and a egomaniac. Even in a cyber space like this, that no one should realistically see, he would have to put his mark on it. "Center of the city, of course," the Lion responds, as if it is the most obvious answer ever. "The Wizard's the admin, y'know. The guy with all the power. He's a user with full priviledges. He can do anything in here." At least it sounds like Haven knows where to go from here.
  10. Will Save: 29 No damage, but let's see what happens depending on your IC @Avenger Assembled
  11. GM Purple Haze shakes his head and groans. The big dragon guy that flirted with his sister that one time is on him. He is still in his gaseous form, he is still spread out, blinding everyone else, but the dragon's claws hurt him! That shouldn't be possible! If these damn heroes would just get out of the way it would be over soon. But the Paper boy insulted his sister, and this damn dragon... Cueball yells and, with a massive blow, his axe cuts through his bindings. He whirls around, shouting incoherently. Who's next? Who can he find and chop to pieces?
  12. The STORMCROW Staying outside the purple haze filling the area, Charlie surveys the scene. Angel and Buddy are the most dangerous ones there, but Purple Haze and Scarlet Mist can rip them to shreads... and they need to be able to see, so stopping Purple Haze from making everyone blind would be nice. It's a long shot, but he sends a flashbang flying. Purple Haze turns away just in time to avoid being blinded. "Paper, Nightscale! Keep the focus on Purple Haze, take him down as quick as you can! We need to see!" They can do it. They're good.
  13. Stormcrow is going to attack Scarlet Mist with a Dazzle: 19, that's a miss. Purple Haze clears his Daze. Cueball is giong to attack the Snare: 27, which hits for a Crit, meaning a DC31 TOU save for the Snare. I'll roll the Snare's TOU to avoid waiting: 20. Lethal damage by 11 means the Snare is diabled and Cueball is free. Then @Lone_Star is up next! All villains except for Scarlet Mist are currently covered in Visual Obscure focused on Purple Haze: Total concealment (Can't attack directly, 50% miss chance on attacking target) 29 - Shadowborne - 2HP - Unharmed 26 - Multi-Girl - 3HP - Unharmed 25 - Multi-Girl Dupe - Unharmed 25 - Stormcrow - 5HP - Unharmed 20 - Purple Haze - Bruise (x1), (taunted until Paper's turn: -2 Attack Rolls and Checks) 19 - Cueball - Unharmed 19 - Ghule - 2HP - Unharmed 17 - Paper - 4HP - Unharmed 15 - Scarlet Mist - Unharmed, Fatigued (-2 Str/Dex, -1 ATK/Def, Cannot move all out) 12 - Buddy - Bruise (x1), Dazed 10 - Angel - Unharmed 8 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed 7 - The Born Loser - KO
  14. The STORMCROW Charlie has, by now, given up on helping Bernie out when she starts going on with her dupes and sending them to do household tasks, like getting the pizza ready. She's got it covered, and that's well enough. He squeezes her hand lightly to show he appreciates her effort, at least. "Sounds like you're not keeping up with your patrols then, Leon," Charlie responds with another grin, making it clear that he is joking. He smirks back at Leon again when he teases him with the pizza place. "Nothing beats that pizza place back near Claremont, anyway."
  15. Spaceman "Hey guys." Parker had been delayed getting to the faire. More trouble on the way, like usual. Stopping a purse snatcher. Getting a kid out of traffic before he got. The usual things. He should really start to leave early soon. He is dressed in a simple peasant's outfit. Nothing fancy, nothing that makes him stand out too much. He would rather just watch and participate instead of trying to stand out with a fancy armor. "Looking good, Baz." He's happy about Baz being able to go out like this, though. It was nice to see him out and about. "How did you make all that stick?"
  16. Spaceman Parker nods at Alden's explanation. It sounds about right, with what little he has learned about magic during his time at Claremont. So, Jack and Alden had met before this, fighting someone together with Lawrence's sister from another reality? He understands, kind of. The metaphysics of it all, at least. Still, people from other timelines being around is still an amazing thing. "Sounds like it was a good thing you were all there to help out, then." He speaks to both Jack and Alden. You should praise good effort, right? Turning back to Michael and Alden, he shrugs his shoulders lightly at the idea. "It feels weird when Michael powers you up. It's like... there's a sun inside you? You're full of unlimited energy, like you can do anything. For me, I was powered up. Stronger and faster, I could do so much more than normal." He pauses briefly. Maybe he's being too cautious, but he can't help it. "Maybe it would be best to let some teachers keep watch if you try it out?"
  17. Spaceman "Ah, my mistake," Parker responds to Lawrence's statement about the timelint. All these planes do depend on the other parties being willing to do as they ask, of course. He finally shrugs when Lawrence explains what they will do and what changes they might make. "I can't speak for everyone else, but you know more about this than the rest of us. If you say this is how we do it, then we'll do it." And then... Michael volounteers him to go and get Paradigm. Parker winces for a moment. He's not sure if that is what he should be doing. They had wrestled her down together, and they had freed her, but even then, it feels off. Still, he nods at Michael and follows him towards Paradigm, hovering by them as he starts explaining everything. Parker gets what he is doing, but it is going too longwinded. "What Golden Star is trying to say is that we could really use your help. There's an entire timeline that could end up falling to Omega, and we're not nearly strong enough to make a difference. Would you please help us?"
  18. GHOST "Sure, sounds good," Casper responds to Lynn when she explains about the book. He never really got into those kind of books himself, but hey, if Carrie likes it, then it's all good by him. He's sure that she'll be telling him all about it. "How about it, short stuff?" he asks. Carrie thinks about it for a moment, looking at the book after accepting it. "I'll stick to one for now, I think. I can always come back for the rest, right?" Carrie says, starting pointedly at Lynn, obviously trying to make sure that she is going stick around.
  19. GHOST Naturally, the accusations start flying. Ghost sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose with one hand. He knew this was going to happen. Too much bad blood. "Honestly? I got no clue who did this. I saw the fire, and decided I'd rather pull your bacon out of the fire instead of looking for them, but think about it for a moment. You Gators and Eagles have been fighting over Tucker's for a long time. Sometimes you're in control, sometimes they're squatting in the theater. If they wanted the place, then why would they burn it down?" Will it work? Maybe. "At any rate, wait here for five minutes, and I'll see what I can find out. Deal?"
  20. ARCHER II Connor can't help himself from grinning, ever so slightly. A snowmobile. "Yeah, I can work with that." Swinging his legs up on the snowmobile, he revs it a little. Connor doesn't mind it being old at all. "I'll do my best chief, but no promises. I mean, not like I'm looking for trouble or anything." He is in a hurry, though. A final nod to the chief, and he speeds off through the snow, of course not heading East towards the science station at all.
  21. BOUNCE! The lecture was fine, but sitting still and listening had never been one of Mattie's strengths. Still, it had been fine, she supposed. It didn't take long for Mattie to get into costume once they got the call. Her form just shifted, and then she was wearing her purple and white outfit, her features changed slightly and her hair was purple. The whole secret identy thing still felt weird, but at least it was easy for her to get into costume. "Aw, that's a real bank robbery! I didn't know people still did those in the big city!" Mattie says to the others, as they stand around looking in. The cops doesn't seem particularly happy that they're here, but that's fine, they're probably just grumpy on account of that robbery. "I mean, I can do the whole sneakin' thing if ya'll want me to. I can shrink down and become a mouse or something an' get inside, then sneak up on 'em?"
  22. BOUNCE! "Gookgak! That's so not what I meant!" Mattie shouts after the goblin as he disappears. Renee finds the entire situation hilarious, and honestly, Mattie has to agree. She turns back to Lynn with a sigh and starts laughing at herself. "We really oughta teach that boy some manners some day, don't we?" she asks no one in particular. Kadene showing up throws her off for a second, before she resumes her usual bright smile. She hadn't really talked much with the other girl, but she was supposed to be from some other world. Kinda like Lynn. "Hey Kadene. I, uh, I might have accidentally sent Gookgak out to do some Robin Hoodin', and he thinks the King's some evil guy now. I didn't do it on purpose, he completely misunderstood what I meant, right Lynn?"
  23. Spaceman Parker had been carrying more than his fair share of the books, but it was fine. He was by far the strongest of his new squad. Physically, at least. He could carry as many of the books as they wanted to, far more than he should physically be able to hold, so he had volounteered. He would have gone on his own to save the others the trip, but the new rules prevented that. Still, it was fine. It meant he could spend some time and get to know his new teammates a bit better. As the monorail crashes, time slows down. Parker instinctively reaches out with his senses. He can feel everything around them and where it is moving. The crashing train, the falling car, the pieces of debris. People moving around them. Lynn is already gone, far faster than he can follow, just a vague blur to his eyes and his spatial senses. She is there, he can feel the distance, but can't keep up with the feeling. Diego does his thing, the train starts slowing down. Parker can't say that he fully understands it yet, but it is useful, at least. Vueriz goes for the civilians, calling out to him that they have to get people to safety. "Don't worry, I got them." A breath, focus. All the falling debris. He can sense it, he can feel where it is. Parker reaches out, raises his hands and grabs hold of every single falling piece of debris, stopping it. To everyone else, it seems like it just starts floating in mid-air, before gently being lowered to the ground, away from everyone.
  24. Parker will activate his Area Strength, Super Strength and Enhanced Strength + Elongation in his arrays, then use the 40 ft. radius from that to catch all the falling debris.
  25. Spaceman They can't just leave things to collapse, but they need to move, too. Lawrence has an idea on what to do about Omega, who the others are facing? Looking around, Parker has an idea of his own. "This timeline was collapsing, right? Could we bring everyone here to help deal with Omega in the other timeline? Make it a better place like that?" He's not sure if it's possible or even something Lawrence can do, but he feels wrong leaving anyone behind if this timeline collapses.
