  1. GM "I got this... almost out... just... stupid dragon..." The man in red was clearly not having a good time, being all wrapped up in Luke's loving embrace. He pushed against him, struggling to get free once more. The woman in blue shook her head, stumbling a bit after La Puma Negra's strike. It looked like a stiff breeze might blow her over, if it could hit her, at least. And the woman in yellow that Leon had wrapped up? "No! No no no no NO! You won't! You can't! I can't, I..." She screamed, throwing her arms out to the side, a wave of golden hued telekinetic energy blasting out from her, pushing back against everyone that surrounded her, friend and foe alike. The thieves in red and blue were thrown to the ground by the blast, while the man in green quickly put up his hands, blocking the worst of it... and then stood to look at the four would be heroes, his captured friend and the bags. "Screw this." He grabbed the nearest two bags and blasted green energy out of his feet, catapulting himself towards a nearby roof and started running away from the scene.
  2. Red is still trapped by Nerdzul. Changing gears a bit, he tries to escape. @Nerdzul give me a grapple check vs. DC20 Blue recovers from being Dazed. Yellow releases a telekinetic area attack! Everyone give me a DC18 Reflex Save, followed by a DC23 TOU save if you fail, and a DC19 TOU save if you pass. Remember that the Evasion feat applies if you got that. @Spacefurry remember to roll for your Snare too. It gets no Reflex Save and uses the power rank as it's TOU save. Rolling for the other villains: Red: Reflex 20, TOU 0, Fail by 19, he's OUT! Blue: Reflex 15, TOU 13, Fail while staggered, she's OUT! Green: Reflex 24, TOU 30 Yay. One of them made it.   3. GHOST Ghost floated down near Grimalkin, quickly raising his hand to meet the high five. "Y'know, it actually went better than normal," he mused, crossing his arms, while continuing to float a foor or so above the ground, moving around Thesaurus Rex. Had to make sure the big guy was down. "Rexie usually ends up causing way more property damage than this." He paused a bit, looking at Grimalkin when she started about magic and things and... "That's... certainly words. Lots and lots of words." He shook his head. "Sorry. I don't really know anything about magic. Aside from how to fight people with magic, I guess." "You think I got money for something like that?" Casper was grinning under his mask, despite that. "I usually try to not get hit, y'know, but sure, I'm in."
  4. Nevermore II "Jordan? Alright, that's not too far." Charlie revved the bike once, then set off down the road. It wasn't far, but they still had some time. "So... what do you think happened? Do you think your friend's gonna try to attack us?"

    Run fast!

    Teased it a while back, but ideas finally got together. A group of cosmic beings are looking for the fastest being in the universe. They have searched worlds to find those worthy, and as they expected, Earth is rife with potential speedsters that just might be the fastest being in existence! How will they determine this? With a race, of course! If you got a speedster (someone that runs, not someone that cheats by flying) and do you think you might just be the fastest being there is? Or maybe you just want to prove yourself? Or try to capture your fading glory one last time? Let's see how you measure up, it's time to race! I'm not gonna set a strict number right now, but we'll see how many signs up or not for this.

  8. GM The shots kept being fired wildly, while the Born Loser shouted for them to get them. Even as the heroes' distractions began to dissipate, they were too far away. There was no way they would be able to catch up now. Not that it stopped them from trying, several setting into mad dashes, or just continuing to shoot wildly in the general direction of the Raven.
  9. Nevermore II "C'mon. We're almost there. Just a bit more!" Charlie was holding on to the witness. They were almost there. Bullets flying all around them, but... they were almost to the car. They were getting out of there, and they were keeping the woman safe. Reaching the end of a building, Charlie spread his arms out around the woman as he pulled her along, shooting a line out to break his fall just as they reached the car. Get in the car, wait till Alek got behind the wheel... then they could get out of there.
  10. I think we'll just skip ahead to Alek, Charlie and the witness getting away now and leave combat, since they're too far away, anyway.
  11. Spending a hero point to double Rocket's dodge bonus until the start of my next turn, adding +13 to his Defense for a total of +38, making the attack miss.

  13. All looking normal. More or less. Except for Century Woman, at least. Looked like she was full of some kind of nanotech? Was that some Grue thing? Or... hadn't she mentioned being married to Doc Archville or something? Hadn't he been doing stuff with nanotech too, or did Casper remember that wrong? He could just ask them all about it, it was probably nothing, or just regular nanotech in their world or something, but, he'd rather be on the safe side. Ghost floated up near Ms. Grue, and motioned to his head with a finger a few times. Hopefully she got his meaning of reading his mind. If not... he tried to think really hard at her. Yeah, yeah, he was acting like a lunatic, but better safe than sorry. If she read his mind... he tried thinking Do you recognize Grue tech? at Ms. Grue. Look at what I'm seeing when I look at Century Woman. How's that look to you?
  14. GM "Is that... ugh... the best you can do?" Sportsman yelled from under the pile of Multigirl's that were holding him. He was struggling against them, but they were too much, at least for the moment. "Do you stupid kids really think that's gonna take me down?" "Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Ms. Scorpion started swinging her whip wildly around, cutting into the air and floor near Paper, before she suddenly pulled it back, grabbed it and then extended it again, flying forward and stabbing straight into Paper's chest. There was something on the blade, poison of some kind, Leon's vision started to blur. "You're not even supposed to be here, you idiot!" But there was something about Ms. Scorpion. Something that sounded and seemed almost a bit too familiar.
  15. Nevermore II "Hey, we're here and... I guess you already knew this or..." Yeah. The whole multi person thing was going to take a bit to get used to. Charlie had to try and figure out how that worked. Multigirl seemed to be bundling up on top of somebody... was that Sportsman? And people were starting to move in close around them. They didn't really move like normal people did... Great. Charlie reached for his belt and pulled out a small capsule, throwing it to the ground. "How long can you hold him? We need to regroup with the others."

Nevermore reaches Multigirl and Sportsman, but she seems to have it well in hand. He plants an Obscure effect with Darkness descriptor on the floor next to them, with a trigger set to be at his command. Ms. Scorpion goes for Paper now: 29, that's a hit. @Spacefurry: Give me a DC18 Fort Save vs. Dazzle and a DC23 TOU save vs. Damage. @Kaede Kimura, @Nerdzul, @Spacefurry: Give me DC15 Notice checks, read the spoiler if you pass: Current setup: All doors are blocked by some kind of force field near the doors, they can't be even be touched. All signals are blocked. The entire mall is filled with people. Depending on the situation, they might make combat more difficult! Some kind of sickness, poison or virus are spreading by touch among the people in the mall. A group of people are unconscious. A short distance away from the entrance, around a corner: Nightscale has just been hit by Sportsman II, who are now moving through the crowds. Ms. Scorpion has appeared and attack Paper. Shadowborne is in the same crowd. Multigirl is facing Sportsman near a toy store, having dogpiled him into a snare. The group of sick people near Multigirl has gotten up and started attacking her. Nevermore and the Multigirl duplicate will reach Multigirl this turn.   17. GM For now, Matt seemed to have stopped moving. He was still at the airport, which they should be able to reach without too much trouble, especially on Charlie's bike, which wasn't exactly conventional. The question was if they would get there in time, and what they would find once they got to the airport.
  18. Nevermore II Charlie crossed his arms. Yeah, Luke had told him and the others about Matt, he'd told them them a bit about the whole cyborg thing, losing control, and being in the infirmary. And Charlie had used some of his own connections to learn a bit more. A not-so-young bird might have told him a few things. "Alright. Let's go, then." His bike was ready. "Get up and lead the way, I'll drive. We gotta be quick, right? And if Matt or whoever's got him sees you flying in..."
  19. It didn't take too long for James to regain consciousness. The Bird of Prey kept talking to him, complaining to him. His wings were, for at least a moment, pretty much stuck in the cockpit, but he had done his job. He had kept the pilots safe. That was... that was something, at least. Right? "I-I think we're alright. P-please calm d-down." He was obviously not speaking to any of the others as he retracted his wings. Standing back, he looked around the others and winced when he saw Patriot bleeding. "I-I... I d-don't think I c-can..." Panic was clearly starting to build in his voice.
  20. Nevermore II "Nevermore, likewise." Charlie returned Miracle Girl's handshake, a very non-cowl-like smile playing across his lips. Had Charlie noticed that Terrifica was already there? He didn't act like it, at least, but he didn't jump either, when Terrifica spoke up. Shaking his head with another grin, he moved to join Terrica and Miracle Girl at the other booth. "Hey, networking's always good, and I figure I can just as well learn from everyone I can, right?"
  21. Doktor'd! Ghost Please update Ghost's picture to this: And the costume description to this: The friendly neighborhood Ghost wears a light grey and white costume with thick black accents. The costume is mainly light grey, with white boots and gloves, separated from the rest of the costume with thick black lines. The middle of his chest and lower body is white, separated from the light grey with the same thick black lines, which also show the difference between pants and shirt. Thick black lines stretch from just under his chest, under his arms and connecting on his back. He wears a white mask that covers his entire face, leaving just his eyes visible. Casper wears a pair of x-ray goggles with light blue glass that seems to glow over his eyes. While they seem to be built into the costume, each lens can be moved and placed separately. His logo is a stylized light blue ghost that almost seems to be glow, placed directly in the middle of his chest. Offensive use of Ghost's powers tend to create a chaotic light blue energy effect . Thank you.

  23. GHOST Casper let out a breath that he didn't know he had been holding as dinosaur finally fell down. Sooo... yeah. That was probably what Grim could do when she got worked up enough. He hadn't been kidding when he considered his little trick to be draining, though. He was gonna be feeling that tonight. His arm was already sore. "Nice." Ghost floated down in front of the dinosaur, waving his hand in front of it's closed eyes. "Yeah, I think you got him good. Guess he should've stayed in that cage, huh?" This was good. Great, even. Rex usually caused way more property damage before Casper managed to take him down.
  24. GM The beast cried out in pain and frustration, reeling back from the strike, as it's hat and monocle were thrown off by the blow. "You... small, insignificant... small.... sm..." It's lower jaw started opening and closing, like it had trouble articulating, before it fell forward, faceplanting into the ground. The entire area shook as it hit.
  25. That is indeed a crit! TOU save: 14 Fail by more than 15, he's knocked out, and we're out of combat!
