  1. Nevermore II "Got something like that, too. I'll use mine for backup if yours don't work out." Or he might just ready to hit her with her stun staff. Get her knocked out. They'd have to move fast, anyway. "You ready? Let's go."
  2. Nevermore II Terrica checking things didn't mean there was nothing there. Just meant she hadn't found anything. Might not be anything to find, but, y'know... She'd probably get on Charlie's case if he didn't check it out. "Sure, I'll give them a look." While he got to work, checking the cameras both physically and starting a program to check for tampering, he continued. "Sooo... did they catch anything exciting during the break in?"
  3. Rocket: 21 Thank god for that +18...
  4. No need. A Feinted character will lose at least half their Defense (since Dodge Bonus is half Base Defense + Dodge Focus feat), so that's a hit. Rolling TOU vs DC23: 16 That's a Bruise and Blue is Dazed. Give me an IC @MoonSimply, and then @Spacefurry is next! 32 - La Puma Negra - 1HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Bruise (x1), Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Bruise (x1), Dazed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  5. Blue can't make that save, so he's Feinted vs. @MoonSimply's next attack. @MoonSimply: One thing you can do here, aside from waiting for the next turn to attack, would be to use Extra Effort to do a Surge (Core book page 120). Using Extra Effort will make you fatigued at the start of your next turn, but you get one to do one of a few different options. The two most commonly used are Power Stunts (which lets you add a Power feat to a power, mostly used to add Alternate Power, which basically lets you make up a brand new power on the spot) and Surge, which lets you take an extra Move or Standard Action in a turn. By using Extra Effort to Surge, you can attack this turn, getting to spend your Feint immediately. You can get rid of the Fatigued condition by spending one of your Hero Points (Core book page 121). Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 2HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Bruise (x1), Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed, Feinted by La Puma Negra. 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  6. Then @MoonSimply is up!
  7. GHOST That hit to the wall must've been worse Casper had thought. Grimalkin seemed really out of it, so... He had to do his best to end this fast. "Come on, Rex. Give up, alright? Just take a breath, relax and lie down, and someone will be by to pick you up." Thesaurus Rex was still stuck, so Ghost simply reached out, sending another shock through the dinosaur's body when they touched. Any time now, and he'd give in. Casper really hoped so, at least.
  8. GM The giant dinosaur stared at the dark fae hero for a moment. It was blinking, trying to figure out what was going on, and, in it's addled state, it seemed like it barely noticed her strike. Or her miss. "I... I will eat and devour you... feast on... you. As soon... in a moment... when everything no longer... spins. Turns. Vertigo?" His vocabulary were clearly starting to suffer with the blows, especially as his entire body seemed to go into cramps for a brief second.
  9. If you hadn't rolled a 1, that would actually have been a hit. Thesaurus Rex is bound and helpless, which means you get +4 to your attack roll, making it a 16. On top of that, Thesaurus Rex loses his Dodge Bonus, and gets -9 to Defense. Thesaurus Rex clears his daze, and is still bound and helpless. The Secondary Effect TOU save from Ghost's attack hits him, DC25 TOU save: 24, another Bruise. Ghost goes for another damaging attack: 24, that's a hit. DC25 TOU save for Rex: 23, yet another bruise, and secondary effect kicking in on Ghost's turn. You're up! Pretty much anything above a 1 should hit him. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Staggered 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x3, Bound and Helpless (rank 10 effect, Injury x1), DC25 TOU save vs. Damage on Init 7 7 - Ghost - 3HP - Unharmed
  10. GM The man in red stared at Nightscale and how easily he had just taken the hit, then started struggling, pushing at him, trying desperately to break the hold. "Stand still, kitty!" The woman in blue tried to kick at La Puma Negra, but with little luck. The cat woman was simply too fast for her to catch like this. She pushed back, jumping several meters away from her opponent to put some distance between them. The woman in yellow laughed nervously at Paper as he struggled, then raised her right hand up, before clenching her first. Yellow energy gathered around him, quickly closing in to hold him in place. He had but a moment to get out of the way. Would he be fast enough? The man in green, the leader of the group, ran up to Nightscale and the man in red. Green lightning crackled around his fist as he threw a punch towards the dragon.
  11. Red tries to gain the upper hand in the grapple. @Nerdzul give me a Grapple Check vs. DC20 Blue tries to punch La Puma Negra again: 16. and she misses. She uses a Move Action to back away from La Puma Nega, putting a few meters distance between them. Yellow tries to Snare Paper: 22, that's a hit. @Spacefurry Give me a DC21 Reflex Save vs. Snare. If Paper fails the Reflex Save, he will end up Entangled, which means -2 to Attack Rolls and Defense, and -4 to effective Dexterity. Since the telekinetic force anchors him to the ground, he won't be able to move. If he fails by more than 5, he will be Bound and Helpless, which gives him a whole host of other penalties (and not being able to do much) that we'll get into if that happens. Green moves up to Nightscale and attacks him. Nightscale loses his dodge bonus to defense if they are still grappling. Attack roll: 13, which will be a hit if Red haven't managed to break the grapple. @Nerdzul: Give me a DC25 TOU save if you succeed on the Grapple Check. and after that, @MoonSimply is next! Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 2HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1) 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed, Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  12. GM "Everything was wiped." The look in the headmistress' eyes betrayed the detached front she put on. She didn't like it at all. "We don't know if it was something your friend did on his own, or if he had help." By now, Matt was far away, and yet, he was still within reach. As far as Luke could sense, Matt was still in Freedom, to the West of Claremont Academy. Odds were that he were near Jordan International Airport by now.
  13. That will work, somewhat at least.
  14. ROCKET The threadmill wasn't really giving the results that Jay had hoped for, a way to transfer his kinetic energy into, well, energy. Not something to solve any energy crisis or anything like that (at least not yet), but maybe enough to power some of his ideas at Atom Academy, make them a bit more energy independent. He came to a stop when Mel called out, before flying off. Scanning the news faster than his internet connection could keep up made it pretty easy to figure out where she was going, at least. Giant bees? Yeah, alright. That would be interesting. A quick message to her phone, and he was off, a streak of blue, black and white rushing through the streets towards the wax covered research facility. A message pinged on Mel's phone:"Meet @ bees"
  15. @MoonSimply Since Nightscale got the power Impervious Toughness 8, he can automatically ignore any attacks that requires a Toughness Saving Throw of less than 15+8 = DC23, so he ecan ignore the attack. @Nerdzul: Throwing would indeed be a Ranged Attack, and it is an autohit due to grapple. Rolling TOU vs. DC23 for Red: 26 And I roll a 20. Go figure. @Nerdzul give me an IC, then the bad guys strike back!
  16. "Sorry." James almost visibly shrunk after Wilona berated him. "I, I just thought... sorry." He looked up at Carmen. "I'm, uh, sorry, but... were you... born like that? I-I completely get if you don't want to answer that, s-sorry if I'm prying, I-I'm just curious."
  17. @MoonSimply: Fail by 4 means you get a Bruise, while @Spacefurry failing by 7 means Bruise and Daze. The more you fail a Toughness save (or another save vs. Damage, but Toughness is most common for that), the greater conditions are imposed upon you. We got a bit of House Rules here, changing the effects around slightly from the core book. I'll just get into non-lethal damage here, because that's the most common: Fail by 1-4: Bruised - Bruised Conditions stack, each Bruise giving you a cumulative -1 to your Toughness Saves to resist damage. Fail by 5-9: Bruised and Dazed - On top of getting a Bruise, you also get Dazed. The Dazed Condition basically makes you skip a turn, being cleared at the end of your next turn. You cannot have multiple Dazed Conditions at once, so they don't stack. Fail by 10-14: Dazed and Staggered - You don't get a Bruise, but you do get Dazed, and you get the Staggered Condition. Being Staggered means you can only take either a single Move or Standard Action per turn, not both, and any further damage means an instant knock out. Fail by 15+: Instant knock out. There's a list of all Conditions and what they mean beginning on page 170 in the Core book. Unfortunately, a 17 misses Blue! Since @Spacefurry is Dazed, give me a post of being dazed, then @Nerdzul is up! (And I still need a DC21 TOU save from Nightscale too) Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 2HP - Bruise (x1) 24 - Paper - 3HP - Bruise (x1), Dazed 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed, Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  18. Tagged. Gonna try for a post later or tomorrow.
  19. GM "Wait, what?" The man in red didn't really seem to understand what was happening before Nigthscale was on him, grasping on to the tall man. "Boss! It's a freaking dragon!" He struggled against him for a moment, before opening his mouth again. Energy gathered inside for a brief second, then let loose a wave of bright blue, almost white, energy straight at Nightscale's face. Blue stepped back, grimacing at La Puma Negra after taking the hit, but didn't look like it bothered her all that much. "I got some kinda cat here!" She put her hands up in a boxing position, while she grinned slightly. "C'mon then, kitty." She took a quick step forward, throwing a step towards La Puma Negra's guts. The woman in yellow screamed and threw up her arms, with Paper's weapon glancing off a yellow energy shield. "What the hell? Is that... is that some kind of paper? What the hell man!?" She pushed her right hand forward towards Paper, only to see him move out of the way before the yellow burst of telekinetic energy flew out where he stood just before. "Guys, guys! They're just kids! Just flatten them!" Green threw his hand upwards, green lightning arcing off his hand and arm, to the ground and up towards Paper, crackling over his body.
  20. Red, while grappled, can still use his Mouth Blast. @Nerdzul: Give me a DC21 TOU save. Red doesn't need to roll to attack since they're grappling. Blue tries to punch La Puma Negra: 20, that's a hit. @MoonSimply give me a DC23 TOU save by rolling 1d20+your Toughness modifier. If you fail the save, you will be affected according to how much you fail. If you get 23 or higher, you take no damage. Yellow attacks Paper with a telekinetic burst: 17, which is a miss. Green tries to blast Paper, but with a -4 to his roll, since Paper is in melee: 25, which is a hit anyway. @Spacefurry give me a DC25 TOU save. And then @MoonSimply is up next. Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is grappling Red on the sidewalk. Green a bit further down the street. 32 - La Puma Negra - 2HP - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 3HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed, Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  21. @MoonSimply: Grappling in M&M 2E is, as in many other systems, a mess, so we got some extensive House Rules on the subject. Basically, you make an attack roll with your Melee Attack Bonus. If that hits, you then make a roll with your Grapple Bonus, and the target makes a roll with their Grapple Bonus. This is listed on your sheet, and generally equal to Melee Attack Bonus + Strength Bonus + Super-Strength rank, though there's a lot of ways to affect this roll. If the attacker wins the roll, then the target is Pinned, and then all those house rules and what actions you can take in the link kicks in. Opposed grapple: 15 And I roll even worse. @Nerdzul give me an IC, Red is pinned. 32 - La Puma Negra - 3HP - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 3HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed, Grappling Red 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed, Pinned by Nightscale 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  22. Actually, since I'm guessing Paper is using his Paper Weapons power from your description, and you rolled a 19, that means it's a Critical Hit. Per the House Rules, you can choose a number of different actions when you make a Critical Hit, but the most common is to add +5 to the DC, which is what I'll go with here. That's a hit, TOU save from Yellow, vs. DC28: 28 Well, would you look at that. Just made it. @Nerdzul is up. Overview: La Puma Negra is in melee with Blue in the middle of the street. Paper is in melee with Yellow next to Blue and La Puma Negra. Nightscale is across the street, with Red being closest, and Green a bit further down the street, on the opposite sidewalk. 32 - La Puma Negra - 3HP - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 3HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  23. Closest is the Blue Villain. Rolling TOU vs. DC21: 25 Unfortunately, she's unhurt! @Spacefurry is up after @MoonSimply's IC. And for the record, you don't have to wait for me to react to what you do OOC before you post your IC post. 32 - La Puma Negra - 3HP - Unharmed 24 - Paper - 3HP - Unharmed 11 - Nightscale - 3HP - Unharmed 10 - Red Villain - Unharmed 10 - Blue Villain - Unharmed 10 - Yellow Villain - Unharmed 10 - Green Villain - Unharmed
  24. +10, since you rolled less than 10 on the Dice, which means 23, which is a hit. Are you using your Strike power for the attack? Give me an IC, and I'll roll tou once you tell me what you use to attack.
