GHOST Had to give the kids some credit for effort, but this girl, she was just everywhere all at once, throwing herself around. Even if they could have touched her, they just couldn't reach her. Alright, alright. Casper was gonna do this, then. "Hey! Hey, lady!" he shouted out, as she moved around him, spread out into a thick mist as she was. "I'm the guy that took down your bro, remember? C'mon, I'm right here!" And that pissed her off. As she came wailing for him, Ghost reached out as he moved out of the way, touching her arm gently, then grabbing hold of her and quite litterally dragged her out of the mist and back into a solid form. "NOW!" Those kids better be ready.

Nevermore II "When we got a meeting and don't feel like showing off?" Charlie quipped back at Terrifica's statement about making assumptions, a small smile playing over his lips. Holograms? He might be able to use that idea for something down the line. He approached the the documents with the small smile still on his lips as Terrifica presented them, his eyes darting over the contents, reading them, taking it all in. The pictures, the description. "Sure. I'm a quick reader." So, locked room mystery. Obvious guy was dead, lots of diamonds missing. "Well, can't base things off just what's in the reports. Gotta actually look at the scene first. Maybe it was an inside job, maybe there's a hidden room. Maybe somebody with powers. Locked room doesn't matter much if you can teleport, y'know. Or maybe that heart attack's faked and it's not really the thief that's in the morgue. Can't attack it from just one angle."

Poof, the cats were gone and someone spoke behind him. Casper suppressed the urge to jump up. A kid sneaking up on him, just great. He looked over his shoulder at the kid. Looked young, wearing some kinda kimono. Casper wasn't big on Japan or anything like that, but he'd been on an adventure once or twice. "C'mon, kid, no need to do all that sneaking around stuff. We're all friends here, y'know." He stood up straight. Well, straight-ish, shaking his head slightly. "That hurts, y'know. Been doing this for nearly twenty years, y'know." Casper made sure that he didn't sound entirely serious, no need to upset the kid. "Just your friendly neighborhood Ghost, kid. How about you?"

GM "I got 'em, boss!" A man with a red bandana and a heavy winter coat with fur trim called out, raising his machine gun and starting to fire wildly in the direction of the sound of two voices bickering. Amidst shouts of agreeing, most of the other goons joined in, all shooting into the darkness, far away from Nevermore and the would-be-whisteblower.

Nevermore II The girl couldn't see anything, and she was clearly starting to panic. All that darkness that surrounded them, all the people screaming from Raven's attack, and now she was starting to look tired. Charlie felt it, too. A gnawing feeling, tugging on him, like something was just zapping away all his energy, it was.... It wasn't something that was gonna stop him. Charlie reached out and grab her wrist. "Hey." His voice was low, but loud enough that she could hear him. "Don't worry. We'll make it out of here." He reached into his utility belt, picked out a small ball and dropped it at his feet, then started pulling the girl along with him, through the darkness. "Come on, we got this. This is the Raven. No way they're getting past him." He kind of wanted to mention himself too, but Alek was the headliner here. Once they were far enough away, he activated the metal ball, which started playing songs of a man and a woman bickering.

Charlie drops an auditory illusion at his current position, then takes a move action to move further away with the Whisteblower. Once he's away, he'll activate the illusion to make it sound like he's bickering with the Whisteblower. The goons are tricked and fire at the sound, hitting nothing. A for effort, but we're not quite there yet @Lone_Star. There's some good distance between El, Charlie and Bernie's dupe, will be at least a turn before we can get there without any speed powers. Could I get an edit for that?

GM Despite everything, despite Muirne disappearing and reappearing in the middle of the crowd to strike at the man... he managed to turn and stare at her, before the spear struck his body. He stumbled a few feet back, tumbling into the group of people that surrounded him. Some of them looked faint, like they were about to pass out, while the man angrily tried to free himself from the tangle of people.

That's a hit, but he is in the middle of a crowd, so it's difficult to move and disappear without bumping into anyone, concealed or not. Just something to keep in mind for further round. Can Charlie access the device by the rooftop door with his Datalink within 1000 ft.?

"Maybe. There's no sentries up on the roof, but there's one of those weird devices that was by the door. I'm guessing it's some kind of motion detector or alarm or something. Probably not something we want to trigger." So, then what? The two most obvious paths were blocked, so... he'd have to make a path. Figure out what that thing on the roof was, maybe a way to disable it. "I'll get closer, stay in touch." Raising a gauntlet, he sent a line to the building and quickly swung across, activating his grapple claws as soon as he touched it, then slowly began moving up. Maybe he could connect to the device, try to disable it or something like that.

GM The wolf grabbed it's head and howled to the sky, as it was sent tumbling back. The moment it hit the ground, it seemed to shatter, like glass being smashed by a rock, leaving behind the man that it had been before. For it's part, the second little pig was stunned, paralyzed and dazed. It was just completely impossible for it to move or even think of what it would do, and without even a house of straw to keep it safe.

Casper paused, a donut halfway into his mouth as he noticed the cats that were starting to circle him, staring at him. Oh, great. Now people were gonna start to call him the weird cat-hero. Sure, would probably be an improvement in some ways, but he could do without that, and... He paused at the sound. "Nya?" Right, right. He'd read up on the student body. There was supposed to be a couple of students with cat powers or something like that, right? Like, full on cat transformation or something like that? He honestly didn't remember. Something with cats, at least. "Nice one, kid." He took a final bite of his donut, then kneeled by the cat while he pulled his mask down over his mouth. "Cats go meow here, y'know, but nice one. Wanna come out now?"

GHOST Casper just glared at the man, then floated across the floor to Chimera. "Alright, grabbing their own computer? Bold move." He paused briefly, looking over his shoulder at the man when he started to speak up. When he stopped talking, Casper returned to Chimera. "Anything good on there?"

GM The man looked at Ghost like he wanted to strangle him, but he stayed silent. "That's our com-" He stopped before Ghost had a chance to silence him this time. With the thumb drive plugged in, it wasn't exactly difficult to navigate the folders. After a short time searching, she found files that seemed to relate to movement and specifications for advanced prosthetics.

GHOST "Oh. Great. A ghost then." Casper was completely deadpan when Horrorshow explained who the ghost woman was. And then the scene shifted, they were now in a castle at a big table. And what a chair she had. And... and this Horrorshow kid? He was good. Casper grinned slightly behind his mask. Yeah. The good old talk their heads off trick. He either knew a lot about the undead diva here, or he was playing a hunch. Either way, sure. Ghost could back him up. "Kid's got a point, y'know. I mean, look at me. I'm basically a ghost, nobody's getting scared of me. Hell, people barely seem to notice me most of the time. You really wanna settle down and just have everyone ignore you?"

James had hung around a bit, trying his very best to stay out of sight. It was nervewracking to have all of these huge heroes around. So many of these people were legends on Earth-∞, they had entire legacies and dynasties following in their footsteps, and here... here he was. Trying his very hardest to catch a glimpse of Phalanx without trying to draw to much attention to himself. He was wearing the standard golden and blue Claremont uniform, with a jacket in the same colors to keep warm. It... well, he did have a costume, but he didn't feel comfortable walking around with it all the time. Not like Phalanx. Cape and everything, he looked like the legendary hero that he was. James was, quite simply, in awe, as he stood a bit away, stealing glances every now and again.

Nevermore II Terrifica. Alek had pulled some strings, and now Charlie had a mentor-day appointment with Terrifica. Genius super hero detective with all the tools, skills and knowledge that came with that? Yeah. This was... this was just terrific. The Ravens? They had always been Charlie's favorite super heroes. Terrifica? She was second. Sure, Charlie had done plenty of hero worship with Alek, Callie and Duncan in the past, but this was something new and different. He kind of wondered if she already knew about the cover identity that Alek had helped Charlie set up for Claremont, but it didn't really matter. Charlie moved into the library with some confidence, wearing grey jeans, a white t-shirt with a big black exclamation mark on the front and an open dark grey jacket, a backpack with his costume and utility belt worn over his right shoulder. "Terrifica!" He couldn't help himself. "It's terrific to meet you! I'm Nevermore. The newer one, I guess!"

November 3, 2021 Claremont Academy Casper hadn't exactly volounteered for the whole meet-a-mentor gig at Claremont. He had sworn that he didn't do well with kids, that he wasn't the mentor type or anything like that, but hey, that was how it went, and as one of the newest members of Freedom League Auxillary, well... he had to put in the hours, somehow. Sure, he had plenty of experience, but he really wasn't sure it was the kind of experience that he should share with these kids... But, here he was, hanging around in the middle of it all, looking around Claremont, trying to do his best to seem like the kind of guy that these kids shouldn't go to ask questions.
