GM Ryu was clearly shocked, taking a step back and uttering a curse in Japanese, with the Takazumi-gumi quickly moving up in between Ryu, the woman and the demon. A few of them drew weapons, handguns of various sizes, while others pulled the sleeves of their right arms back, revealing impressive tattoos of bright red demons on their arms, oni of some kind. Ryu was barking orders in Japanese by now, people starting to scatter away from the Carnifex, the Takazumi-gumi and, well, everything that was going on. And then the woman placed a hand on Ryu's shoulder and spoke softly to the Dreamer. "I am sorry. My brother meant no harm, but we are in a hurry, and his temper might have flared." She moved forward, the Takazumi-gumi only moving away with some resistance, before she bowed deeply before the Dreamer and the Carnifex. "I apologize. Please, let us pass." Her voice was soft, yet dignified. There was a hint of a deep sadness at the core of it.

"Yeah. With heat lamps everywhere, just in case the cuffs fail." Ghost paused. No, creepy was probably not quite strong enough to describe Freezeburn. Horrible would probably be better. "I've been allowed into Blackstone a few times to make sure he's still there. Been a while, but, y'know... better safe than sorry, right?" He shuddered. Last time he stopped Freezeburn had been bad. He really didn't need a repeat of that. Ever. "Herr comrade sounds downright cuddly compared to Freezeburn, to be honest." He let out a short laugh. Oh yes, that was what he needed after thinking of Freezeburn. "Now I can't get the image of Frost in flower print shorts hanging out in the sun by a beach out of my head."

GHOST "Maybe. Didn't seem like the brightest of the bunch, at least." Casper groaned as he saw the man that stepped out of the first STAR squad vehicle... O'Brian. Of course it had to be O'Brian. That guy did not like Casper's work, at all. Not that Casper really blamed him, it couldn't be fun getting stuck trying to get people out of walls or the ground all the time. People were still keeping some distance around them, so there was that, at least. Once he had helped and the cars were moving, he turned back to the with with the domino mask... and. Wait. How old was she? Older than when he started but... christ, she couldn't have been more than a couple of years when he first started out. "You alright? That bruise looks kinda nasty."

GM By the time the STAR squad arrived, Raina and Merlin was finished taking their pictures. With a few gruff greetings to Ghost and Sparkler, they began hauling first the four enhanced bikers and later everyone that Ghost had managed to catch with his first trick, with him having to go around and help getting them loose one by one. The STAR squad left as abruptly as they had arrived, sparing little time for chatting with the heroes or asking, well, anything about what the bikers could do, but at least they hauled them in separate vehicles instead of all in the same one.

Justice Alright, two guys still standing, and Ultra Girl was in bad shape. Robin would have to move fast here, take them down quick before they managed to severely hurt her and... Huh. She relaxed her stance, looking after their Ultios as they started to leave. "Gotta admit, I didn't see that coming," she finally commented, just staring after them. Breathing out heavily, Robin placed a hand on her belt buckle and pressed a button. With a *zhooun* sound, her armor powered down and disassembled, bits and pieces flying off into rainbow portals all around her, until she was left in the red undersuit and domino mask. "Are you alright? You took a couple of hits there. I got a safe place you can rest if you need to?" Robin paused and slapped her forehead. "Sorry, I completely forgot. I'm Justice. You're Ultra Girl, right? I've been looking for you."

GM The last two Ultios looked between each other, then to Ultra Girl, back to Justice, and, finally, back to each other. "Alright, I'm out," the first said, throwing up his arms and backing away. "Yeah, same. I didn't even wanna do this in the first place!" He turned away, arms in the air. "Sorry, Jessie kinda made us do this, and really, nobody says no to Jessie for long! You should really do something about that, or she'll just keep coming!" Helping a few of the other Ultios, but not the one in red that they had identified as Jessie, the Ultios began to make their way away.

Nevermore II "Man, you wish the Raven was here," Charlie added, pointing with his thumb towards Luke. "See, me? I'm not like him. I'm good at making friends. And guess what? I'm friends with a dragon." He wasn't lying, not really. "We'll get you outta here, sure, nobody gets killed while we're here, but you gotta tell us something first: You called your friends, and they're on the way. How long until they're here? How many are coming? Both people and demons, or just one or the other?" Charlie was talking fast now, counting out on his fingers as he asked each question.

GM The first little pig shook its head. It made a sound that sounded like an oink, as it treated to make the world stop spinning. The second little pig stayed close to Zhenschina-voin, caring little for the wolf's huffing and puffing. It tried to headbutt the Russian born amazon, but was a bit too late, instead stumbling a few steps forward. The third little pig counted his toes. Or at least, it appeared that he did so. His head held low, he finally stood, stepping back and forth, once more ready for the fight.

First and third little pigs clear their daze. Nevermore II Huh. Charlie had not expected that. Golden armor and... El was already attacking Dr. Midas, with a chair. Alright, he couldn't expect her to lug her hammer around aaaand... yeah. He was probably gonna get in trouble for this. Right, so. He needed to change. No chance to tell El what he was about to do, so she could hopefully keep Midas busy for a moment while Charlie made himself scarce, disappearing into the crowds and off to a spot where he wouldn't be spotted.

GM The chair was swung and... with a loud *clang* it didn't really do a whole lot against Dr. Midas' golden armor. He paused for a brief moment and looked at Outrider. "Turd? You call me a turd!? Haven't you heard of me? Haven't you heard the screams, you lummox!? I am Dr. Midas! And I will not be stopped by a chair!" He raised a gauntlet towards Outrider and fired another golden blast that... instead destroyed part of a wall. "I meant to do that!"

Unfortunately, he still passes the TOU save! Dr. Midas blasts at El: 11, miss! Charlie ducks into hiding to change and will be out for a few rounds. @Lone_Star, you're up! Forever Boy Pan frowned as he saw the burning tree. "The Dreamwoods, the source of the Pixie Dust!" The voice was not fear, but it was as close as Micah had heard from Pan. He bit his lips, then smiled. "Oh, no, there is a fire. Whatever will we do to stop such a thing?" He grinned at Micah, made a gesture with an open hand towards the tree, then dove towards the forest below.

GM As the young men approached from the sky, the source of the smoke soon became clear: A massive tree in the middle of a grove, one that towered above the rest. It was burning, set ablaze, with Sky-Pirates briefly becoming visible as they moved between the trees below, flashes of fire and smoke from their torches broken by quick glimpses of gold among them. The tree was mighty, and yet, given time, it would be nothing but cinders.

GM With cleanup completed, it was time to leave. They could hear the sirens in the distance as the Unkindness raced through the night. Later, Bowman would be able to relay that had he been attacked by multiple assailants, all dressed in Victorian clothing, much like the Ushers that had attacked Raven, Nevermore and Arrow inside the building. A woman and two men, they had overwhelmed him. Much like the man inside the building, they all seemed to posses powers of some kind. The House of Usher had returned, now possessing powers. So far, that was all they knew. What had changed? Why were they back? And, perhaps most important, what were their plans?

Nevermore II "Alright, alright, let's get it done." Harsh, but, alright, Charlie couldn't really blame her. He wasn't sure how he would have reacted if it was Alek on the stretcher. The moment Alek spoke, Charlie froze completely, just for a second. He made a motion to Arrow, a thumb drawn over his throat with an apologetic smile, then quickly got back to work. He knew that tone. Not the time to test Alek's patience. This was bad.

GM The group seemed to be compromised mainly of campus security and a few cops. As Jennifer followed them up the stairs, she was stopped by one of the security people, a man in the late 30'es with a brown crew cut. "Hey, where'd you come from? This area's off limits, somebody broke in! If you got work here, you gotta wait until we're done!" Before Jennifer had a chance to reply, a man in a hoodie appeared from behind her and pushed through, running towards the room she had just left. "Hey! Stop! Come back here!" The guard followed, leaving Jennifer behind, with no one to stop her.

You take him down and don't seem to be noticed.

Justice Out of all my characters, Justice is probably the one that I consider the most heroic out of all of them. As such, the majority of her themes deal with her path towards heroism. Big Heart - Kirby Krackle Starting out, Justice didn't exactly have a lot of skills or clues what she was doing, taking most of her ideas and initiative from super hero shows and the like. She was pretty much a fangirl with a super suit and a highly advanced gun, she had as many losses as victories when she dealt with anything outside her own weight class, and as a result she was manipulated and thrown into situations where she only her sense of right and wrong ended up saving the day. The Moment - Miracle of Sound ft. Karliene The moment Robin finally put on her suit and became a hero was a rush, everything she had waited for and more. She was still learning, of course, but that moment, and so many others, all leading her towards eventually becoming a real super hero. Harder Better Faster - Daft Punk Robin learned from her victories and losses. She's become better and stronger, she's learned and improved and expanded her arsenal to help her deal with situations she's encountered. Plus, she likes to listen to Daft Punk while working on her equipment. Stand Out - Tevin Campbell Robin noticed that Emerald City didn't have a lot of heroes, and the few that were around were all very recent? So, why was that? And why shouldn't Emerald have some more heroes. The song represents her choice to become a hero with all it entails, standing out from the crowd to do what is right. Light Up the Sky - Thousand Foot Krutch If Justice was part of a TV show, this would be the theme that played whenever she transformed into her suit for the first time in this episode, with the full version playing whenever she got into any major battles. Robin's here to protect Emerald City, and she'll light up the sky and make sure that everyone knows she's there to keep them safe. Superhero - Simon Curtis Robin's ultimate goal is becoming a hero, and not just that, she is hoping to inspire many more to become active in Emerald City alongside her. The song's an upbeat anthem that follows Robin's own thoughts that anyone can be a hero if they're given the chance and means, depsite what MarsTech has proven so far with the less than heroic Ultio Suit Users. Falling On - Finger Eleven There's two reasons for this song being on the listen. Initially, I choose it due to Robin's own feelings and conflict on whether she actually could become a hero early in her career, but as she's grown to become a main part of Emerald City's growing super hero community, I also feel it fits with her aim to be there for any of the other heroes that need her. The Champion in Me - 3 Doors Down Another song dealing with Justice's struggle to become a hero. She fought long and hard, trained, planned, built and improved again and again, learning harsh and hard lessons along the way until she ultimately rose to become the champion that she knew was in her. Hell No! - Mel Senese Robin's defiance of anyone or anything thinking that she wouldn't be enough, her main theme, that she would rise to become a hero, that she will never back down no matter what hardships she face along the way, be it idols betraying her, grave losses or worse. She's a hero, and she knows it. Hell Yeah - Rev Theory How the lyrics can be understood aside, this song is more for the title and music, as the theme for Justice's H.E.R.O. Mode Armor. In H.E.R.O. Mode she goes all out on speed and power, and the title is a nice follow up to Hell No! as her main theme.

Forever Boy The overarching theme for the majority of Pan's music is freedom and adventure, some of them with a hint of something a bit darker behind it all. He's a Pirate - Hans Zimmer/Klaus Badelt I feel like I'm repeating Gizmo here, but He's a Pirate really is the greatest theme for a a swashbuckler there is. It is climatic, it is bombastic, it is joy and it is freedom, and honestly, that (and a whole lot of trickery and friendship) is what Pan is all about. Climatic battles, swinging alongside a pirate ship while fencing with Sky-Pirates? There's no better theme for that. Storytime - Nightwish A song about stories and tales, with references to Peter Pan and much else, with adventurous, yet somewhat omnious music. The song is a tribute to storytellers and their stories, and, well, Pan is a story come to life. The song just sparks my imagination and was one of the original inspirations for Forever Boy that evolved into many of the themes and plans I have for him, even including him coming from another world with lines such as "Searching the heavens for another Earth". A few lines such as "the empty crib of Peter Pan" and "follow the madness" hint at darker undercurrents that Pan has displayed just a few times so far. Fly - Blind Guardian Much like Storytime, Fly has influenced many of my thoughts and ideas about Pan. It is quite blatantly about Peter Pan, and well, I couldn't skip a song like that. The lines above everything being make believe fits particularly well with Pan and some of his more meta-conceptual concepts of being a story, and just what he can do and why. The Vagrant of Love [Extended] - Bravely Default OST This music is adventure. From the opening to the melody and instruments, it is one long promise of adventure and freedom. The track is happy and lacks any of the more omnious undertones of other tracks, showing Pan at his best and brightest. The Greatest Show - The Greatest Showman Pan puts on a show. His entire life is one great big show, from start to finish, an adventure unlike any other (at least if you ask him), the greatest show of all. For an alternate meaning, his tactics often involve putting on a show to trick and confound enemies and allies alike, or just when he really puts his charisma to use. The Greatest Show Rock/Metal Cover - Jonathan Young & Caleb Hyles An alternative to the above, when Pan is influenced by Eira, with many of the same meanings to the Pan, but suitably different from the changes that their relationships have brought to his life. Friends - Miracle of Sound Friends and friendship is important to Pan! In fact, the friendships and relationships he's forged at Claremont has served to make him better than he was, particularly his closer relationships with Micah, current and former members of his squad and Eira. He is there when they need him and he value them more than anything, but with that said... Friend Like Me - Aladdin Pan is not quite like the rest of them, and according to himself, they have never had a friend like him! This fits both with Pan's theatrics and flair for putting on a show and his commitment to friendship. Run Boy Run - Woodkid Back to some of the darker themes, Pan's past is not as happy as it might seem at first if you have only seen movies or read books about his counterpart. He ran from Neverworld, though it is unclear how much of it was his own doing and how much was the crocodile. There's darker undercurrents to his story, as events in the Return to Neverworld storyline are starting to show. Kamikaze Love - Poets of the Fall Pan has seen his share of love and pain in the past. He is forever, while others are not. Will his relationship with Eira be different? Another song that also deals with themes of imagination and fantasizing about things being different.

GHOST What the hell was this guy even made of? It was insane. The other guy was setting him on fire, Casper was throwing everything he had at him, and he just kept going and going. Whatever had given these guys powers did their best job on the hairy guy with the axe. He waited, just a second... ghosting through someone tended to leave a bit of a lasting effect, it should hit any time now... any time, please and... Then he fell over. "Oh god, finally." Moving up out of the ground, Ghost looked around. At least everyone around them seemed to be recovering by the time the bikers were down, so... that was good, at least. He looked up at the hero, giving him a thumbs up. "Hey, nice job. I guess his secret weakness was bikes, huh?"

GM "Wha?" Cueball looked up, raised his arms up in front of himself, and was then knocked back a few feet when the burning motorcycle collided with him. "You..." Cueball's words were slurred by now. "You little..." He really seemed to have trouble even talking by now. "Gonna... gonna ¤%&# you up an'..." And then, finally, something seemed to just glitch inside him and Cueball fell over, face first into the ground... just as the STAR Squad arrived...

Cueball clears his daze. Ghost DC30 TOU save from Cueball: 14 Fail by 15! KO! FINALLY!
