  1. Nevermore II "Sure, have you seen the number of dragon guys running around? Its pretty common, y'know." Charlie grinned playfully back at Luke. "Now demons? That's much more exciting, don't you think?" "I don't really know too much about demons and such." His tone turned serious. "Its not the kind of thing the Raven usually deals with, but I know we gotta figure out how they got there, and hopefully be able to figure out how to get them to leave. Just kicking their asses probably won't be enough." He stretched his arms above his head. "Lead the way, Nightie. I'll just do my thing." With a soft laugh, he disappeared into the shadows.
  2. Nevermore II Charlie went silent as he fell. He saw the guy in red... and he recognized him. "Crap." Reaching for his belt, he pulled out a snareline and fired it towards him, but the guy in red moved out of the way, easily dodging it. Quickly switching to his gauntlet, Charlie fired a grappling hook towards one of the plaza's buildings, letting the line pull him in towards it. Stay up above it all, get an overview. "Guys, that's the Red Death!" Callie should at least recognize the name. The others? He wasn't sure.
  3. GM Trawler moved far faster than the lumbering frame would suggest, quickly moving away from his burning colleagues. He obviously had little care for what happened to his companions, while he raised his right hand towards the flying dragon. He fired a quickly expanding steel mesh net towards the dragon, which quickly started to wrap around the mighty dragon's wings! The Fearmaster moved ran, ignoring the flames that licked across his costume. As the Ravenrangs hit near him, he stopped in place, staring up at the rapidly descending Madame Raven. "Are you sure you're not afraid of heights after all, little bird?"
  4. To avoid too much double posting I'll put Trawler and Fearmaster's actions in the same post from now on, even though Nevermore's happen before Fearmaster. 5. GM The wolf yelped at Zhenshchina-voin's blow to its guts. All the wind was knocked out of its lung, it bent over, gasping for air. It tried to huff. It tried to puff. But it could not quite do so, with little air to use.

  8. Give me some rolls for stealth and attack, then.
  9. Nevermore II "I'm... not really sure there's room for everything at once," Charlie mentioned, after following El into the line. He looked into his wallet. He had the cash, so, alright. Could go that. Alek probably wouldn't appreciate it if he used the emergency credit card he'd given him to pay for all the pizzas. "... 'sides I'm not really sure I could afford that..." Alright, he didn't want to rain on her parade or anything, but the stipend from the Summers' estate didn't cover everything. "So, uh, how about you pick out a few slices you want to try instead? I got you covered."
  10. That's a hit. TOU: 17, bruise and dazed. Give me an IC and I'll follow up. 24 - Little Mermaid II - 5HP - Unharmed 20 - Zhenschina-voin - 2HP - Unharmed 20 - Big Bad Wolf - Bruise (x1), Dazed 17 - Synapse - 3HP - Unharmed 12 - Three Little Pigs - Unharmed 9 - Shadowborne - 3HP - Unharmed
  11. Archer II "I wouldn't count on that. I'm not really a big name in the hero community, y'know." No time to get dressed up, then. That was fine. Reaching into his bag he quickly pulled out his red mask and tied it on, then his quiver and folded up bow. He unfolded the bow with a quick thrust forward with his arm, then picked an arrow. "Don't need a fire escape. But thanks." Alright, he had to admit that he wanted to show off just a little. All these people with powers everywhere, like it was nothing. He fired a grappling line arrow, hitting the wall just a foot away from the other Merge. "See ya up there, I guess." He pulled on the line and let it pull him up, quickly landing by the other Merge.
  12. Initiative: 7 Ah, yes. Keep going with low initiative rolls for Charlie.
  13. That's a hit, but miss on 11+: 9 He's not really able to take a hit, so he's effectively down, and we're out of combat.
  14. GM To Eira's disappointment, steps before the castle were all but empty, manned only be automatons. Vaguely human looking machines, they were dressed in red shirts and blue trousers, with black bearskin caps on top of their heads. They were all armed with rifles incredibly more sophisticated than Eira would at first. The rifles were long, dark metal, with faint yellow power lines running through them. As she touched down, the automatons, the metal men of Victori, were at first slow to react, but then they raised their rifles. A voice called out from a large speaker placed above the steps to the palace. "Go away. We have all the science we need, thank you very much miss Eira Katastroff Natt Och Dag."
  15. Nevermore II Honestly, it was kind of amazing watching El's reaction to, well, everything. There were a lot of people around, even during the afternoon, and there were a lot to take in, but her curiosity about everything was just something else. "Don't worry, we'll take everything at your pace. You need a break, we'll take a break, alright?" Once at the food court, Charlie couldn't help himself from snickering as El moved from place to place, taking every sample she could, studying everything before finally deciding. "Pizza's great. I love pizza." He motioned with his head towards a place called Freedom Pizza, just one of a few pizza places at the food court. "C'mon, Freedom Pizza's the best. Just, y'know, read what's on each I guess? There's lots of different pizzas. And you can get pineapple on it if you want, just, people are weird about that for some reason. Some people think its weird for some reason." Charlie shrugged. "People get worked up over the weirdest things, y'know."
  16. "You can try," Pan responded to Ashley's very good friend with a wicked grin. He listened to Judy's explanation thoughtfully, nodding along the way, his eyes darting between Ashley and Fa'Rua. "Yes, yes, the being that were to take care of the children were not quite emotionally invested in their well being. Perhaps your space force should look into that, yes? Child endangerment by potentially higher beings should be punishable, no?" At Danica's outburst, he raised his hand up, pointing to the sky. "There is only one thing we can do, Danica, my friend: We must rescue your mount!"
  17. That's a miss vs. Fearmaster, give me an IC and I'll follow up.
  18. GM Ultio Red was sent flying by the force of the blows, crashing into a wall and slowly sliding down, obviously completely knocked out. The last two Ultios looked between each other. "Err... now what?" They really didn't seem too keen on continuing the fight now that they didn't have numbers on their side.
  19. Justice Crap! That blast seemed way more powerful than the last few that the red Ultio had thrown at Ultra Girl. She looked hurt. Like, really hurt. She was still conscious, at least. "Got it." Everything fired up right, suit to full effect, she punched straight at Ultio Red. Full power behind the blow, she seemed to surprise her with the force behind the blow. As the red Ultio stumbled backwards a few steps, Justice touched her belt quickly with her left hand, redirecting the power to her legs, then spun her right leg up, straight towards the red Ultio's chest, trailing a shimmering energy rainbow behind her leg, her foot colliding with the red Ultio's chest and sending her flying. Justice quickly shifted position, moving in between Ultra Girl and the last two Ultios. "Anyone else?" That sounded badass, right? She really hoped that sounded badass.
  20. Justice Defense status: M.O.V.E. System set to Armor Plating for DEF+5/TOU+15, Imp. Tou 10 Standard Action: Justice Strike vs. Ultio Red: 16, miss. Spending a HP to reroll that: 27, that's a hit. TOU Save from Ultio Red vs DC25: 13, staggered and dazed. Free Action: Surge to get another Standard Action. Standard Action: Justice Strike vs. Ultio Red: 25, that's a hit. TOU Save from Ultio Red vs DC25: 18 She's down. Move Action: Move in between Ultra Girl and the two Ultios. The last two Ultios stop attacking at that, not really knowing how to proceed. You're up. 20 - Ultio Red - Unconscious 20 - Ultio Suits x7 - 5 down (1x Blaster, 1x Stealth) 15 - Ultra Girl - 1HP - Bruise (x4), Staggered 12 - Justice - 3HP - Unharmed, Fatigued on next turn
  21. GM In the end, the battle outside the Emerald Tower proved to be the greater spectactle, as Protectron and his army fought their way through the mind controlled masses, the laughing party guests soon coming to their senses. Inside, Emerald Spider and Justice managed to disable the machine that the White Rabbit had used to spread his influence over the city, freeing the guests. Furious, the White Rabbit had fought them, but proved no match for the two heroes. My, oh my. I believe this is the place where I will say goodbye. The Dormouse appeared from nowhere, whisking him away. In the aftermath, the city had seen its heroes. The Ultios now had competition.
  22. Nevermore II "Yeah. That makes sense," Nevermore agreed with Arrow. "Kingston's pretty much been a hole in the ground since the invasion, right, boss? Gotta be all kinds of weird things happening here." He frowned, looking at Arrow. It was weird seeing Bowman like this, at least to him. How would it be to her? He was her mentor, like Alek was to Charlie. "Are you alright?" Nevermore was worried about her, that much was obvious in his voice.
  23. Unless something comes up, I'm gonna do a GM and Nevermore post by Friday if @Tiffany Korta haven't posted by then.
  24. Archer II Returning to the roof, Connor had an arrow ready and was already aiming. Hearing the big guy yelling and shouting in panic made him lower it, his lips twisting into a grim grin as he heard what was happening. Part of him felt like he should correct Shooting Star, but, nah. This worked. He would just be silent, let her work things out for now.
  25. GM "Alright, alright, please, just, don't drop me. I'm... I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Despite his size, Billy's cries were pathetic at best. As confident as he had been just before, he was a mewling wreck by now. "The big man made me do it! Told me to call him if anyone ever came looking for trouble! Didn't want anyone trying to stop him! Just... just don't drop me! I'll tell you where he is, I promise! Just... just don't drop me!"
