Sorry for the delay. DL has Knowledge (current events) So say DC15 Luke and SD can try Intelligence checks Say DC15 as well. If successful: You can recognize her from old news coverage. She escaped custody about 2 years ago while being transported with a couple other artificially created monsters. At least two were left dead in the escape. Authorities hinted for her for several months, but she evaded capture. As interest died the hunt became less and less of a priority until it seemed be forgotten about. @Nerdzul If he succeeds he will recognize her as one of the creations of the masked Creepshow he encountered in the underground lab. If he doesn’t succeed, she just looks really familiar.

GM “Wha-“ Was all Detective Ramsey managed before Sea Devil was already moving. The Deep One’s howl of rage echoed through the trees and out into the park. Branches snapped as the watery hero propelled herself through them in a single powerful leap. The ground shook a little as armored rage landed behind the grappling pair. Sea Devil’s trident easily wrenched the woman’s head off Nightscale’s arm, leaving bleeding bite wounds in her wake. The sound of the woman’s indignant outrage was cut off by the crack of her head connecting with a solid helmet. The woman fell to the ground limply, but very much still breathing as the blood around her mouth slowly began to run down her cheek to drip on the dirt.

SD’s attack is brutal and effective leaving the woman pinned to the ground like a bug on display. There’s an ear-piercing shriek from her before she seems to fall still, gasping but unresponsive.

Predator Using the latest maps she had access to, Predator guided Echohead’s driving when necessary. Otherwise she was a quiet companion, which probably did little to help the sense of emptiness her companions felt. She would give short simple answers to any questions but did little to initiate conversation. It wasn’t intentional, she simply found herself preoccupied. Aside from a few satellite photos, she could not find any documentation on the scientific facility they were heading towards. Even with her A.I., Cynthia, helping her she was coming up empty handed and it was beginning to aggravate her. When the fence comes into view, Predator slips out of the car. Her smooth armored helmet sweeping one way, then the other, taking it in. The lock was simple but the junction boxes spaced along the fence in both directions were more than enough of a warning. “They obviously aren’t but so concerned with security.” Her voice carried more than expected in the quiet jungle. “The lock is more for show. The fence is electrified.” The two ear-like units on the sides of her helmet split along invisible seems and open, revealing smaller arrays of lenses and antennas. The units twitch and the smaller arrays swivel with faint whirls as they scan. Inside her suit, multiple screens open as she scans their surroundings. Infrared and ultraviolet data create colored overlays as audio enhancement programs attempt to amplify any distinguishable noises. Algorithms she’d been using for years attempting to pick out any useful information.

GM The weight of the woman’s will pressed down on everyone, only some more than others. Detective Pascal seemed to completely freeze up under the mental attack. Detective Ramsey shouted something in a sharp tone, but it was lost in the ruckus as Nightscale closed the distance and tackled the homeless woman. The two falling to the ground in the struggle. Suddenly, Sea Devil’s cry of rage cut through the ruckus and the ground seemed to open up and swallow her, dragging Diamondlight and Detective Pascal along with her. The trio found themselves unceremoniously dumped just outside the trees of the hidden path. Sea Devil’s portal dropping them at the edge of a small pond half hidden in the brush. It was just large enough to soak Diamondlight before the well dressed hero disappeared in a flash of light. For his part, Pascal dropped to a knee and gasped. “What was that?” He managed to mutter before struggling back to his feet and looking around. “Ramsey? Shit!” He cursed when he realized they had been separated. He looked back at Sea Devil. “Are you okay?” He asked the armored hero. ****** In the clearing, Diamondlight returns just in time to see Detective Ramsey hesitating. Her weapon pointed at the ground as she watches the two struggling. Suddenly the clearing is lit up like small sun for an instant. Detective Ramsey curses as she unsuccessfully tries to cover her eyes from it. The woman hisses as she looks away and shuts her eyes against the flash. ****** Beyond the trees Detective Pascal and Sea Devil are bombarded by slices of light cutting through the trees. Their intensity catching the officer and hero. Detective Pascal raises an arm against the flash but not fast enough. ****** Nightscale struggles with the woman on the ground, easily grappling her. Almost too easily. Blinding light fills the clearing and the woman hisses and flinches. Then, with a snarl she lunges in Nightscale’s grip and sinks long teeth deep into the boy’s bicep. Blood pouring across her lips, running down her chin and his arm as he can feel her trying to literally drink his blood.

@Avenger Assembled Okay, so looks like SD is taking Pascal and Diamondlight with her. If the range is only 100’ the lake is too far. But that would put them back out on the regular walking path they were following.

Chimera Chimera tilted her head a little as she regarded the younger man. Basement. Monsters. Creepy mas-! She snapped her finger. “Oh ya! I remember that.” She gave a small shiver. “Thankfully I have run into that… man(?), again” Chimera shook her head and looked at him again. “Nightscale.” She nodded. “Chimera.” She offered her hand. “Let’s do this quickly. All that noise should have the police responding soon.” ***** The Lost and Forgotten was even creepier blow decks. It was dim and not for the first time Chimera wished the symbiote could help with that. Instead, she pulled out her phone and used the flashlight to read some of the crates. They listed their contents as imported bananas, but the smell hanging in the stale air of the hold suggested otherwise. She wasn’t sure how far into the hold they had walked before she stopped and panned around with her phone’s light. “I guess we should check at least one crate.” She glanced at Nightscale.

Predator The fingers of her armor were designed to relay touch pressure. This allowed her to easily locate the proper wires. It only took a moment after that and the Beetle’s engine growled grumpily to life. Tapping the dash, the needle on the gas gauge wavered only a little. She pulled up some information on her screen. “I believe there is enough fuel to get us to our destination and possibly back to the landing field.” Predator stood up. “Of course that depends on the several factors outside our control.” She turned back to Echohead. “So, do you wish to be in charge of driving? I can ride shotgun, as it were.”

It is a portal effect so I’m gonna say Diamondlight and Detective Pascal were in range. Detective Ramsey is standing on Pascal’s other side putting her just out of range. Nightscale is grappling the suspect so they’re both out of range. @Supercape if you want to roll a Ref save to avoid being drawn in you can. DC15 like AA said. Pascal is paralyzed so he auto-fails and goes along for the ride. @Avenger Assembled you can post IC as soon as Supes rolls

Predator As the plane came to a stop on the empty runway Jean once more donned her armor. She understood the pilot’s reasoning and agreed with their decision to stay with the aircraft. Predator emerged from the plane behind Echohead. The smooth polished surface of the helmet reflected the grim state of their surroundings while the suit’s ventilation filtered out the ashy residual. Sensors told her they were alone for now. “So it is.” Predator’s voice came from helmet’s external speaker as she looked out at the distant volcano. “Hopefully it remains quiet during our visit.” Her steps on the tarmac were whisked away in the emptiness of the strip. The map was open on one of her internal monitors, their destination pinned. They just needed a mode of transportation. /1976 Volkswagen Beetle-/ She dismissed the rest of the information her AI was pulling up on the car. Instead, she regarded the small car for a moment and nodded. “Cynthia, pull the wiring diagram for this vehicle.” She requested as she approached the Beetle. Opening the hood she scanned the engine. Satisfied she closed it again and moved around to the driver’s door and opened it. She bent in to reach the wiring under the steering column, her armored tail flicking side to side as she worked.

Chimera As she approached the sea vessel the dragon cast a shadow over her as it headed towards the dock. In one hand it held the mercenary, Gasman, and with its other it seemed to be waving her down. She pulled up as it pasted her, turned and followed it back down. Landing, it released Gasman and its body melted in on itself until a young man stood where the giant creature once had. “That he is.” Chimera agreed, she gave a small shiver at the memory of the night in the graveyard. Something about the young man was familiar, but she was distracted as Blowfish ran up totting what she was beginning to suspect was his signature sub-machine gun. She rolled her eyes. “I want nothing to do with this conversation.” She said dismissively to Gasman and Blowfish before turning her attention to the young man that had been a dragon only moments ago. “We’ll…” She suddenly realized she had no idea how to address him. “…ah, you.” Nailed it, she mentally facepalmed. “If you’re still up for it. I say we find out just what is so important about this ship’s cargo.”

@Nerdzul A roll of 1-10 on second roll get the +10. Sobb be that’s a 29 for Nightscale. So as it stands: Diamondlight - saved Sea Devil - failed and slowed Nightscale - saved Det Pascal - failed and paralyzed Det Ramsey - saved @Avenger Assembled @Nerdzul Sea Devil and Nightscale can act before she can.
