Question answered in Discord so Seraphim with spend her round slapping King Cole awake. I kid. But Healing will occur, so King gets to make a recovery check with a +8 bonus.

Paper Leon ignored Aaron’s comeback as he caught the lunchbox. He gave the young man a glare before he instinctively shielded his eyes as Aaron vanished. When everything else came to life, he was briefly concerned and then it too vanished leaving the boys alone. He regards the spot where Aaron vanished as Luke suggests moving outside and nods in agreement. “Yay, good idea.” Outside the old warehouse Leon is unusually quiet at first, only nodding along as Luke tries to talk it out. Leon didn’t have family to worry about, not like Luke did, but he thought he could understand his friend’s feelings. “She’s our friend, and one of us.” He said. “But I don’t think he knows that.” He looked at Luke and frowned. “If she was a civie, I’d say keep her in the dark. But…, if she winds up running into him suited up-” Leon shook his head. “I don’t want your family in danger anymore than you do.” He squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

Lark is meant to be a sidekick for Blackstaff.

Lark Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: None In Brief: Part-time college student/part-time secretary/part-time werewolf Catchphrase: *** Theme: Bad Moon on the Rise Alternate Identity: Lark Williams (Secret) Birthplace: Emerald City Residence: ECU Dorms, Emerald City Base of Operations: Blackstaff Investigations Occupation: College Student, Business Major Affiliations: Blackstaff Family: Mother and Father Description: Age: 25 (DoB: September 17th, 1998) Apparent Age: mid 20s Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’ 10” / 7’ 3” Weight: 138lb / 242lb Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dirty-Blonde / Light Brown Description: Lark looks average enough in her size and build, but take a closer look as you can notice the defined muscles under the softness of college life. She shares a lot of her looks with her mother including her dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. As a werewolf, Lark is capable of assuming a giant sized wolf or the stereotypical hybrid form. Her fur is a light brown but her inhuman eyes keep their hazel coloring . Razor sharp claws and fangs complete the look. History: While in her freshman year as Business major at Emerald City University, Lark was attacked by a werewolf one night. She was the only survivor of the group she had been with. Weeks in the hospital and questions from police and media left her feeling scared and tired, but it wasn’t until the next full moon approached and the nightmares began that she truly felt the terror. She had transformed into a savage beast like the one that had attacked her for two nights straight before stumbling across Blackstaff’s office. He had already been investigating the attacks that were occurring every full moon, when Lark explained she had survived the previous attack he quickly agreed to help her. Using her connection to her attacker the two tracked down the werewolf responsible for the ‘Full Moon Murders’ as the media had dubbed them. With the werewolf responsible for turning her dead, Lark’s nightmares stopped. But in truth she was still deeply afraid of her condition. Blackstaff attempted to remove the curse, but was unable to. Instead he promised to help her control the transformations and the easy now inside her clawing to escape. So, she began working at his office as his secretary/office assistant. Though she has recently pressed Blackstaff to be more involved with cases. Personality & Motivation: Lark is cheerful and upbeat. She had planned on a simple life running a business of her own. And while her condition complicates things, she still wants to make something of herself. Courageous and strong willed, she has practiced with her werewolf nature to better control it. She isn’t afraid to put herself in danger to help someone else, though she still sometimes overestimates her abilities. Power Descriptions: Lark is a werewolf, complete with all its weaknesses. Silver and wolf’s bane being two biggest. Her curse is magical in nature. Complications: Silver Bullet: The touch of silver can burn causing her to be weary of it. Herbalism: Wolf’s bane can cause a range of reactions depending on how it is handled or processed. Mark of the beast: Other creatures can sometimes sense when a predator is near. This can cause complications ranging from unintentional intimidation to unwanted irrational fear of her depending on the creature and situation. Call of the Wild: Strong magical or mental forces could cause her to change uncontrolled, perhaps even enraging her and driving her to attack indiscriminately. OOC for here It'll probably have a bit a of a slow start before something happens so they can enjoy the mall for a bit.
-
GM Wednesday afternoon Sept 18 Millennium Mall Crowds moved through the mall in their usual ebbs and flows as the people shopped and wandered about. The food court was bustling with activity as the lunch crowd buzzed with chatter. And in one of the central intersections of the mall a crowd gathered to watch the small film crew that had set up camp to capture the mall as background for its ‘on-location’ shooting. A local daytime drama, popular with local viewers for being set in the city and sometimes filming on location. Uniformed FCPD peppered the perimeter of the filming crews. Just like any other day in Freedom, the multitude of civilians had no idea just how many superheroes found their way into the mall on a daily basis. Today was no different as several members of one of the newer teams, the Young Guardians, ventured into the mall to enjoy a well deserved lunch after a reprieve from training by their leader and taskmaster. But they are far from alone the only heroes blending in with the crowds this day. Eira, another Claremont Alumni, was at the Childrens’ Museum nestled within the giant mall. The new interactive exhibit easily coming together as she worked.

Blackstaff Blackstaff gritted his teeth, watching as the two powerhouse heroes seemed hard pressed to keep Anarchilles down. As the villain seemed ready to struggle back to his feet, the wizard’s eyes scanned the surroundings for an idea. He was fairly positive he couldn’t just hold the walking tank of a man and their attacks, while each was substantial, weren’t enough on their own. Maybe he just needed to approach this from a different angle. He knew what he wanted and the spell quickly came together in his mind. The chant was quiet on his lips, ironically, as a finger traced a glowing pattern in the air an inch from his throat. He was quick, and hopefully precise enough. Before he closed the final circle of the pattern he yelled to the other two heroes. “Clear the way!” A moment later the circle closed and he felt the power swell in his throat. Blackstaff sucked in a painful breath and then a scream, like a banshee in a wood-chipper, erupted from the wizard. The light from his throat flaring with it.

Blackstaff “Don’t worry about it.” Blackstaff quickly replied with a smile. “You’re getting the Damsel in distress, pro bono discount.” Lark rolled her eyes and smirked. “Let me get you that tea.” She smiled and stepped away towards a short hall towards the back of the building. Blackstaff looked thoughtful. “Size and appearance aren’t always a constant in magic, but when you find a look that works…” He trailed off for a moment, then nodded. “You might be onto something.” The wizard walked over to the hall Lark had disappeared down. But, at the entrance to it he leaned around the corner and looked upwards. “Morrowind!” He shouted up the stairs that were set back a bit in the hall. “Your presence is kindly requested.” He spoke it like some kind of formality, then walked back towards the desk Lark had been sitting at. He leaned against it and seemed to wait. He took a sip of his coffee as Lark returned carrying a small tray. She set the tray beside Dreamer on an end table, the cup of tea was steaming and a selection of sugar and cream was there if she wanted them. Lark stepped back and leaned on a chair back. The two seemed patient and after a moment Lark wordlessly held up three fingers. She dropped them one at a time in a silent countdown. And when the last one fell, as if on cue, a slim figure drifted down through the ceiling. She was slender and ethereal. Pale blue-white and translucent. Her features were delicate but stern and pointed ear tips were noticeable through the long hair that rustled in a nonexistent breeze. “You know I dislike leaving the library.” Her voice sounded distant, but clear. Everything about her cried out: ghost. “I know.” Blakstaff said. The ghost took notice of the various ‘dreams’ roaming the office and tilted her head. “Fascinating.” She said, seeming to have lost interest in the wizard. She drifted over to one to examine it. The ghost turned and looked directly at Dreamer curiously. “What manner of magic are you?”

Predator Behind her helmet Jean’s brow furrowed and she frowned. It took only a moment, but then she had an idea. Cutting off her external speaker, she quickly began opening programs and files. “Cynthia, search all recordings of encounters with subject: Dennis Deacon. Isolate all audio of the target and begin compiling a vocal pattern.” “Yes, ma’am. Beginning search and compiling.” Jean wasn’t even listening for the AI’s reply. She was already constructing an algorithm to feed the vocal pattern. “Compiling complete.” Cynthia chimed again a few moments later. “Excellent, confirm algorithm stability and feed the pattern to it.” “Checking… Algorithm stability nominal. Feeding program.” Jean opened a program she rarely had need for but had kept updated ever since the first time she had needed it. One never knew when it may be needed again. Externally, it seemed as if the armored figure had gone frozen and silent. Several long moments stretched on and suddenly Predator moved again. Standing close to it, Echo could hear a slight sound as the external speakers came back online. But when she spoke, it wasn’t the familiar husky voice, or even the smooth synthetic voice of her computer companion. The voice of a man came from the armored figure. It was study and even, but carried an unmistakable hint of fear and desperation that Echohead was all too familiar with after coming this far. It was a byproduct of the only recording Predator had of poor Mr Deacon, but she hoped the alien computer would recognize it as the original. “Hello, my name is Dennis Deacon and I request for you to terminate the assistance you have provided for me.” -
Predator Dr North couldn’t see the corner of Jean’s lips curve up behind the smooth faceplate of the Predator armor. “Yes, yes I am.” The armored hero moved to take the doctor’s position at the keyboard. It took only a moment and she was in. Multiple passcodes and security measures attempted to stop her, but with Cynthia’s help she easily subverted nearly all of them. A few persisted, but they would fall eventually. For now, Predator was content with sifting through the message chains and transition notes. Names, dates and locations scrolled across the screen. “Cynthia, make a copy of everything. Usual security protocols, attempt to freeze and isolate any malware until it can be dealt with later.” “Confirmed.” The computer’s voice replied as Predator plugged into the system. “A backup copy will hopefully ensure no loss of valuable data.” She commented to Dr North as she glanced at the screens. While her AI’s works on copying files Predator accesses the camp’s CCT network to watch for trouble.

Seraphim Sarah was ready to fade into the crowd, as it were, when she suddenly felt like someone was staring at her. The next moment Kadene’s distinctive accent cut through the buzz of the crowds. Sarah gave an almost cartoon ‘eep’ of surprise at the sudden call. She turned to see the pirate girl waving eagerly to her. It took her longer than she’d like to admit to realize what it was Kadene was asking. And felt even stupider when she actually did the whole ‘pointing at herself’ bit, like she was asking for verification it was her company the girl wanted. Sarah quickly pulled herself together and hurried over to the group of girls. “Um, ah, hello.” She gave Iris and Carmen nods. “It’s nice to meet you.”
-
Seraphim Sarah gave Mizuki a small nod, still very embarrassed. Her cheeks flushing again slightly, though not as bad as before. “I’ll try not to stare at anyone else.” She tried to sound confident and joking, but wasn't sure she was pulling it off. She looked back at Kadene and gave her a polite nod as well. “Pleasure to meet you, Kadene. I hope we can get along together.” Pirates? Was she teasing her again? Sarah wasn't sure if she should actually ask further. Sarah shifted her weight on her feet, losing some of her nerves as her anger quickly drained away. “I, uh, I don’t suppose you can direct me to room 406?” She asked.

Seraphim Jack’s movement caught her attention and did her best not to stare at the multitude of scars crossing the older boy’s upper body. She was thankful when ice covered his skin as it let her push it out of her mind. She glanced around at the other girls and everyone seemed eager to begin. Not for the first time she hoped she was ready too. Around them the very world seems to change. Even though it wasn’t really, her eyes told it it was. And yet, something in the back of her mind ‘felt’ the edges of the holographic environment, she could almost ‘sense’ the cops and criminals even as they were just beginning to take shape. Perhaps that was why she seemed to react first as the ‘police’ called for help. She knew it wasn’t real, but all her senses claimed different as she saw they suited men firing and she heard their bullets striking metal and stone around them. A brief flash of light and Seraphim was shimmering. Light seemed to liquefy and gather in her open palm, forming a tennis ball sized orb. She lobbed the glowing sphere up the steps of the bank, into the middle of the gunmen, where it exploded in a flash of brilliant white light.

Okay, Seraphim will attempt to Dazzle. Ranged attack: 17 Ref save DC 18 if it hits

Seraphim Sarah regretted not having a more appropriate outfit for the Ren Faire, she had to make do in a plain white skirt and blouse. A short blue jacket helped fend off any chilly breezes that might happen to stir. She stopped to buy a hot pretzel and enjoyed its warmth as she strolled through the Ren Faire market. She admired the handmade jewelry and trinkets. Armor and weapons made at home forges. The care taken with dresses and shirts sewn in peoples’ home studios. Mind you, there were more than a few resellers. But they were usually easy to spot, and she gave them a courtesy glance as she passed. A rather familiarly boisterous voice carried down the lane of vendors and Sarah spotted Kanede. She bit her lip, they hadn’t exactly had the best first meeting back on move-in day and she had to admit she had been avoiding the girl since. Sarah didn’t recognize the other girl Kadene spoke with as she attempted to gather the courage to introduce herself. She realized the two were calling out to someone and curiously she turned to look. It was only then she noticed one of the upperclassmen settled atop a nearby stall. Sarah recognized her from around campus but had never spoken to her. The way the other two girls addressed her, Sarah assumed they were friends. She suddenly felt self-conscious and thought it better not to interrupt them if they were together. She did her best to look inconspicuous as she passed them.
