  1. Paper Paper smirked at TKO’s last attack. His confidence appreciating the ego boost. “Nice try.” He snarled. “Next time, bring your ‘A’ game.” He raised his hand the more paper swarmed around him. Just as he started to strike again something caught his attention. Someone calling his name, no more then one. “Huh?” Paper chances a side glance to see if one of his classmates needed help. He suddenly froze in surprise at the sight of the two teens. “What th-“ Around him, the floating paper faltered, several sheets even floating towards the floor as his hold on them wavered.
  2. GM Teens With the heroes and Bear-Knuckle focused on each other the two teens clear the sandy remains of the wall and head for the door of the adjoining office. The girl yanks it open and passes into the main room. She’s quickly followed by the boy in the long coat, leaving the door open. Once in the main room, they quickly notice the main exit being guarded by TKO. The girl quickly looks around, spotting the broken window. “This way.” She barks, grabbing the boy’s elbow and pulling. But a sudden jerk stops her and she looks back in annoyance. “Da fu-“ She starts to yell, stopping mid word as the boy points. Snapping her attention in the indicated direction her anger changes to surprise to match the boy’s. The pair stare in the direction of Leon with looks of mixed shock and concern as the see the young hero trading blows with the telekinetic villain. “Paper!” They echo each other without thinking.
  3. Paper Leon approached the pool, bringing up the rear. He caught sight of Wilona midair before gravity did its thing and she plunged into the water. He noted the scars but paid them little mind. ‘She doesn’t look too bad in that.’ He found himself watching the water a little longer then he had meant before realizing who it was he was looking at and yanked his attention away. He passed Neko as she was settling into one of the deck chairs, tossing his things into another empty chair as she began to strum her conjured instrument. “Nice.” He glanced in her direction as he pulled off his shirt. He gave her a smile and nodded slowly along to the melody. He moved pass the lounging Carmen over to the poolside just as Wilona hopped out to help Naomi with the grill. He gave a low whistle as he stopped next to Owain, patting him on the shoulder. He brought up an arm as Luke as he decided to follow Wilona’s example. “Don’t worry, man. They probably still have somebody that comes around to clean it once a month or something. No one that lives in place like this cleans their own pool.” He chuckled as he wiped off some of the water from the splash. “At least the scenery is nice.” Leon grinned, nodding back towards the lounging cat girls then glanced over at the other two by the makeshift grill. He watched Naomi as she walked over to sit on the pool’s edge. “You’re on.” Leon called back to his roommate with a grin.
  4. Paper Leon looked at Wilona and smirked. “Really? Well I guess that makes her even more useful then you.” He said with snark then looked back at Naomi. He caught sight of something in her expression, but couldn’t place it before she mentioned their little ‘field trip’. His brow furrowed as she brought it up and it took a moment for what she meant to sink in. “Oh…? Oooooh…! Ssshiiiit.” Leon had the grace to look abashed and glance away. “I’m sorry.” He muttered and chanced a glance at Wilona, he already knew she’d be glaring daggers at him, then looked back at the girl beside him. “Pay no attention to me, just gonna sit here and see how much more of my foot I can fit.” He really didn’t know much about Naomi. Wilona’s constant presence and her own shyness made it hard to talk to her sometimes. Even without that though, parents weren’t a topic he ever cared to talk about. His own having abandoned him to the uncaring system at a young age. Still, even if he had no love for his own parents, there were others he cared about and was afraid of losing. So he could empathize. When she showed him the picture she had doodled he was a little surprised but immediately started to chuckle and grin. “You make it look so easy. I a little jealous.” He leaned a little closer and gave her a conspiratorial wink and lowered his voice. “Not that I’ll admit it in public.” He chuckled again and leaned back. The bus soon arrived in front of the fenced grounds of a large estate and Leon filed off the bus with the others. He eyed the fence and the grounds beyond, giving a long whistle. “Nice. Looks like a place we woulda hit.” He grinned at the thought for a moment then turned his attention to the others. He watched as Carmen easily leapt the barrier and chuckled. “Show off.” The little rivalry between her and Neko was really entertaining sometimes and he glanced in Neko’s direction to see her reaction. He saw what she was about to do an instant before she touched the fence. The fence that Wilona had just mentioned was tied to the alarm system. “Shi-!” Leon’s hand snapped out and paper swarmed from his hoodie. It coalesced into a chain link fence millimeters from the real fence. The act was so swift and the cat-girl so intent, she didn’t even notice until she and Owain were already over the barrier. He let out a breath and let himself relax. He looked up after Felix. “It’s cool man, come on back down. Before you call unwanted attention.” Looking back at the others he flashed a grin and waved his hand at the paper. The fake fencing fell apart and swarmed again, reforming into. Something simple but obvious. An old fashion ladder and slide mounted over the fence, like something straight off a public playground. “Let’s have some fun.” He spared a glance back to James in the driver’s seat and flash himself a smirk. “And remember, you’re an accessory.” Once over the fence Leon turned his attention to the manor house. He had no hang ups on trespassing, dead owners or living. In this case, dead owners meant they couldn’t complain. Besides, maybe he could take a peek inside later. Who knows what he could find hidden away in such a fancy place… No, he wasn’t suppose to think like that anymore. But old habits died hard. Leon shook his head and turned in the direction of the pool and followed after the others. The paper slide collapsing and flowing back into his hoodie once everyone was over.
  5. Paper Leon echoed Wilona, rolling his eyes. ”Don’t encourage her.” He sighed at his roommate before they joined the others. Leon smirked and grinned, not knowing Naomi’s context for the reference. ”Why, thank you.” “Oh? Well, his loss.” Leon gave a silly grin. “I can do that.” He chuckled as he started walking with the others. “Every try pretending to be a tiger? I’ve read that they actually like the water.” This time it was Leon elbowing Luke with a smirk. Leon turned, walking backwards. ”Sure, more the merrier, and all that. Just hurry up or get left behind.” “Not the school pool?” He asked curiously, before pausing to stare at the bus. ”Da fu…?” Watching her mount the steps and greet the driver (dressed like a butler?), Leon recovered himself. He followed Neko as Owain rejoined them and took the seat next to her. He frowned and looked around. With a sigh he dropped into an empty seat and gave Naomi a raised eyebrow and smirk. ”So… who did you rob to pay for this?” He asked in an obviously joking tone.
  6. Predator Jean had allowed herself to be pulled into Set’s personal bubble at Ashley’s insistence. She admired the agent’s ability to embrace her role as an overly excitable party attendee. She did not have that skill herself, but she was able to emulate some level of awe. Jean followed Ashley’s cue and gave Set, what she hoped looked like, an apologetic smile before smiling for Ashley’s ‘selfie’. She turned her attention back to Rainshadow again, giving him a smile. “We’ll, if I can be of assistance in the future, you can most likely find me at Atomic Tower in Freedom City.” Jean bid the man and mongoose a small nod as he turned to greet another figure. His intended target being an obvious sea-dweller. She turned back to Set and gave a short, polite bow. “Thank you for honoring us with your time.” Jean may not be able to pull of giddy and excitable, but she could do polite and semi-formal. It was a balancing counter-point to her companion’s act.
  7. Predator Jean nodded at her companion’s assessment of their hosts’ possible entrance. She was about to respond when a new voice interjected. Jean turned her attention to the speak and quirked an eyebrow as she took in the… well, the red. There certainly was a dubious amount of it in various shades. The silver of the lips obviously meant to draw attention to them, as were the glimpses of flesh through fishnet. This was an individual who knew how to draw attention and easily drew it. Power radiated from her intangible but unmistakable. She spared a glance in Ashley’s direction to see if she knew the woman. At first, the woman’s insinuations evaded Jean. At the references Jean tilts her head slightly in thought. A smile settles on her muzzle as she straightens again. Clarity in her expression. “I think…” She starts politely, but a second interruption draws her attention to a man that appears behind the woman. The suntanned skin was evident under the robes and armor. The breaded mask seemed to mimic the man’s natural beard, which Jean found somewhat amusing for some reason. A smirk tugs at her muzzle but she represses it as a small furry creature she identifies as a mongoose appears over the woman’s other shoulder. She was unfamiliar with the name he used, Pishamentian. She would have to look it up later. Nor was she familiar with the name he called himself, Rainshadow? Jean glanced at Ashley again to see if she recognize it. She turned her attention back to him as he continued. She nodded politely even as she tilted her head in thought again when he finished. He had inadvertently introduced himself so Jean took it upon herself to introduce herself and Ashley. “A pleasure to meant you Rainshadow. My name is Jean, but you may have seen me in the news under the name Predator. And this is my friend, and escort, Copycat.” Jean was unconcerned with who knew her as a hero, she was rather unmistakable, but she was not going to reveal her new friend’s identity. She gave pause to allow the woman to formally introduce herself if she wished. The man had called her Set and Jean mentally gathered strands of information she had come across in her initial research. It wasn’t much yet but her impression of power was well founded from what she could remember. “I was under the impression this…” Jean waved a hand and smirked playfully. “Was a rather flamboyant cry for attention.” She gave a light chuckle as she played up the simple party goer, not wanting to hint at their underlying mission. She turned her attention back to Rainshadow. “You mentioned furries?” She asked curiously, not having found that particular part of the internet yet in her investigations. “You seem to have a good impression of me.” She gave him a polite smile and nod. “I was under the impression I was a rather unusual visitor to this world. Have you encountered others?”
  8. *facepalm* I’m sorry, AA, I completely forgot about the blinding. Luckily he hasn’t taken any attack actions yet. But unless Neko wants to drop the Obscure it’s still in effect. Am I right it reading it that only Bear-Knuckle sees the illusions? Can he move out of its AoE? Will save vs Neko’s illusion DC 16 (-2 for trying to get him to hurt himself): 29 Not that he needed the help. But, between the being blind and the rage Owain does manage to score a hit. Toughness save DC23: 27 (-2 from bruises = 25) He still manages to shrug it off though. Just need an IC @Avenger Assembled Next up are the Teens then Paper. 9. Leon Leon grimaced at the mention of the omegadrones incident, he hadn’t done much better on that same test. Reaching for a coin he froze, looking up at Luke as his roommate emitted a low growl. He held up his hands as he straighten, eyeing the other boy. “It’s cool. Don’t sweat it.” Leon lowered his hands and regarded Luke. “You good?” He asked in typical male fashion. Giving his friend a small nod in acknowledgment. “Let’s get outta here before you go all Smaug on me.”
  10. Paper Leon rubbed the bridge of his nose. “I walked right into that one.” He muttered to himself, sighing as he heard Naomi devolving into a fit of giggles. It was anyone’s guess what was going through her head to cause that, but he was sure it was at his expense. Once Luke kindly closed the door he ventured into the room proper and dug out a pair of green board shorts with blue stripes running down each side. “With a mood killer like her around it wouldn’t matter who’s there.” He muttered as he grabbed a white tee sporting ‘Pray for the Wicked’ on the front and tour dates on the back. He slipped on a pair of black sandals and paper swarmed around him as he pulled out a towel of his own and plucked a pair of sunglasses off a shelf. The paper formed a zippered hoodie that he snatched out of the air and slung over his shoulder as he followed after Luke in to the hall. His demeanor changed immediately as he crossed the threshold, a familiar grin appearing as he saw Carmen and Neko standing with Wilona and the still giggling Naomi. “Hello ladies… and you.” He beamed a smile at the girls, directing the last bit at Wilona with a small smirk. He glanced around, then at Neko. “No Owain?” He asked, not having seen the other boy change and fly off.
  11. *in dwaven accent* “You have my Chimera.”
  12. Paper Even if he couldn’t hear the words, (which really, they could probably hear her in the next building) that voice was unmistakable lately. He rolled his eyes and ran a towel over his hair just to stop it from dripping. Wrapping the towel around his waist he opened the bathroom door and half stepped out to yell at Luke. Sometimes he had to to be heard over the earbuds. “Hey Luke, could you tell that little pain in the a-“ Leon recognized the grin his roommate gave him, but couldn’t stop him before he was across the room and yanking open the door. He clearly saw the girls as Luke greeted the two and cursed as hastily ducked back into the bathroom. What she had been yelling about started to register. The pool? That didn’t sound half bad. In fact it actually sounded like a great idea. Not that he would give her credit for it. “Just tell the firecracker to give us a minute to get ready.” He yelled from the bathroom. “Unless they wanna see my natural bathing suit.” That should get them to back off for a minute he thought with a smirk.

  14. Predator Jean smiled from Ashley’s arm as a herald announced their arrival. She admired the pillars and statues as they entered the party proper, but her gazed scanned the attendees for minions Ashley had briefed her on. Agent Tran had filled her in on the government’s standing with Hades and his subordinates before meeting the ‘too well timed’ taxi that had carried them to the waterfront. They made small talk as they rode along, not chancing the the loyalties of the driver. The duo avoided the media circus as they were guided to the boat that would transition them across the ocean. As they rode along with a few other guests and their silent pilot, Jean recounted a tale or two of her own interactions with self proclaimed gods and deities. A woman calling herself Ishtar had set up a small temple in her own city and offered help to the romantically inclined. And a minotaur with reality warping powers had claimed a chunk of land just outside her city for his labyrinth. She had started to describe how her best friend’s husband claimed to work for a manifestation of Destiny itself when the boat had arrived and they disembarked. Once among the party goers Copycat, as Jean was told was Ashley’s cover for the party, introduced her to a few old acquaintances. She pleasantly greeted them each, filing them away in her mind for later reference. She would most likely spend some time later researching them all out of both curiosity and a need to know more. She didn’t get nearly as many stares as she had expected, which was fine with her. The hero community seemed much easier to integrate with despite her appearance. Tho after seeing some of the other attendees, it wasn’t hard to understand why. She followed Copycat’s example, choosing a bottle of water for herself. She offered a smile to a man with slightly disheveled hair, that he had obviously attempted to reign in but only barely so, in a finely cut black jacket covered with what appeared to be arcane runes. He smiled back as he waved a hand over two flutes of wine, wisps of color trailing his fingers as he did. Seemingly satisfied he picked up the two glasses and gave her another smile as he produced a card from seemingly nowhere. She accepted it politely and thanked him before he turned and carried the drinks over to a woman in a thigh length forest green dress and half jacket, who handed a black wooden staff to him as she accepted one of the flutes. Jean glanced at the card, private investigator and wizard it stated. She raised an eyebrow but tucked the card away for later inquiries and returned her attention to Copycat. “There certainly are a wide variety of guests.” She commented and chuckled. “Almost makes me feel at home.” Jean’s eyes swept over the crowd. “I suppose our gracious hosts will make a grand entrance later.” She mused and took Copycat’s arm again as they moved on to continue mingling.
  15. Snap-Maw Reflex save DC19: 27 He avoids the cage, sorry. @Avenger Assembled Neko and Owain are up
  16. Atomic Tower Some time earlier… Jean stared at the envelope sitting neatly on her table. It hadn’t been there when she had turned in the night before. Cynthia had given no indication of intrusion, and yet there it was. It bore her name, written in a smooth formal script. Though plenty of people knew she had taken residence in the tower, she could think of no one who would send her mail, let alone a mysterious letter. She frowned at her own hesitation and took up the envelope. Breaking the seal, she pulled the contents out and studied them. Opening the invitation she read it twice. Brow furrowed, she wondered if it was a joke. Turning her attention to the card she actually recognized the shop’s name. It was well known in her own world by those ‘in the know’ as it were. Card in one hand, she read the invitation again, giving it more weight. She had met a handful of entities claiming some form of godhood in her adventures, as some would call them. Destiny and her ‘champion’, Ishtar, and a few others. If this was indeed being hosted by entities claiming the Greek pantheon she would do well to give careful consideration, though she was still hesitant. It was an unexpected visitor a few days later that solidified her attendance to the gala and shortly thereafter she stood before the doors of an unimposing tailor shop. A small bell chimed as she entered and she waited for the gasps or other sounds of surprise from the staff. To her own surprise the proprietor approached her with a practiced friendly smile and asked how he could help her. Jean returned the smile and withdrew an envelope from her pocket. City proper Sometime later… Jean regarded herself in the mirror as she smoothed the hips of her dress. She had been surprised by the shop’s staff, they hadn’t even batted an eye at her appearance when she presented the invitation. They were flawlessly professional with her and she found a sliver of comfort in that. It was almost like being home again. The black lace of the top fanned out from a loose bow at her neck to the top of the dress over her chest, leaving her arms and shoulders bare. The cobalt blue fabric was silky and smooth to the touch, bringing the blue of her eyes. It was accented by the faux corset that, to some embarrassment, helped to accentuate what little chest she had. In the back, the corset sat just above her tail and an opening in the dress settled just under it, leaving her tail free and comfortable. At her waist the dress spread out in a high-low style. It was shorter in the front then in back, showing her slightly digitigrade legs up to just below her knees. Visible within the interior hem a lace trim hid stylized foxes in playful poses if you looked closely. Jean had to admit the shoes were a bit of a cheat. The natural shape of her feet already emulated the position the heels would have had human feet at. The open toed heels were matching blue with straps that wound around her ankles. Small dark blue flowers decorated the hair comb that pinned back her hair on the right. Small sapphire teardrops hung from her fox ears, their gold fittings complimenting the gold rings around each wrist. Her features didn’t allow for makeup in the regular sense for the most part. Mascara and some blue powder though we’re able to further bring out the blue of her eyes. She hoped her escort, Agent Tran, would find her appearance acceptable. She wouldn’t want to embarrass her after so kindly inviting her along on such an important errand. She paused for a moment and thought about it. When Ashley arrived she would have to find out want name the agent would want to be addressed as while at the gala. Glancing aside at the clock, the time told her they should be there soon. It wasn’t the first ‘formal’ gathering she had attended, though she had to admit it was most likely the nicest dress she’d ever worn. Giving herself a final look in the mirror she hoped she would have no reason to call on her armor, she wasn’t sure what it would do to the lovely dress.

  18. Jean returned Ashley’s smile. “Of course, just a work associate being friendly and attempting to make the new arrival feel welcomed.” She chuckled, but didn’t stop her guest as she explained her use of the word ‘stag’. “Fear not, I can keep a professional manner.” Reaching back she picked up the envelope and withdrew the card inside. “I suppose that means I should take the time to make myself presentable. I wouldn’t want to embarrass my kind escort. I’m afraid my armor is hardly considered ‘formal attire’.” Jean chuckled again before she stood and offered her hand to Ashley. “Again, I apologize for not having any iced tea. I’ll endeavor to rectify that before another visitor requests it.” She smiled again and gave the woman a small nod. “I’m sure you’re a busy agent. I look forward to working with you.”
  19. Chimera The symbiote bristled as Chimera looked around in surprise at the sudden new voice, small spines sprouting in response. Spotting the green and red clad man Chimera looked at him curiously. She was suspicious and glanced around at the others to see if they recognized the man. When the man didn’t seem to be a threat the spines withdrew, smoothing back into the tendrils. She watched as he made his way to the street. When he introduced himself she frowned. She didn’t recognized his name, but she had heard of A.E.G.I.S. before. She didn’t say anything and looked from Ghost to Grimalkin to see if either of them recognized him.
  20. To the best Ashley could tell, Jean’s express was serious as the agent expounded on their ongoing discord with the mythical entity. She nodded as she listened intently, her ears perked forward. Her tail the only thing betraying her calm exterior as it swayed in a more agitated manner. “I… see.” She said slowly. Her attention seeming to shift to a spot somewhere in between them. Her mind was already beginning to contemplate the matter, but her attention snapped back immediately when Ashley continued. “Understandable.” Jean commented as Ashley hesitated briefly, curious how this would involve her. When Ashley fumbled through her invitation, Jean couldn’t help my give the agent a reassuring smile. She leaned back, one arm crossing the other she tapped side of her shirt muzzle thoughtfully. She didn’t say anything for a moment as she weighed the options before her. Her eyes searched Ashley’s in that moment, as if gauging the agent. When she finally spoke, her tone was even and matter-of-fact. “Using me as a distraction while you assess the motives and actions of the event’s host unobstructed.” She watched Ashley for a moment, then a smile spread across her muzzle and she gave a quick nod. “A tactic I can approve of. I would be honored to assist you mission.” She chuckled and added with a small grin. ”And if necessary, reassure your partner that it was strictly work related.”
