  1. That’s right you did bruise Bear-Knuckle. I seemed to have forgotten for mark that bruise. The person you protected is able to get to their feet, letting you attack the boss man. Toughness save for Bear-Knuckle: 20 That’s another bruise and he’s dazed. Nice. Star loves those sucker punches. Teens - unhurt Paper - unhurt, 2 HP Goons - 4 unhurt Nightscale - unhurt, 2 HP Villains - Snap-Maw - Bruised Fly-Boy - Bruised TKO - unhurt Bear-Knuckle - Bruised x2, dazed Heavyweight - unhurt Shooting Star - unhurt, 1 HP Artificer - brusied, 1 HP Owain - bruised Neko - unhurt, 1 HP
  2. That’s fine, it makes sense.
  3. GM The shark-man and bug-man suddenly froze in place. By the door, the man with the glowing eyes held a hand out towards them, his eyes flaring up. “Stop being cowards.” TKO snarled. “We’re stronger then a bunch of kids. Unless you want to face Bear-Knuckle, act like it.” The man with glowing eyes glared at the two and they swallowed. When released from their invisible bonds the two turned to face the young heroes. The fear of their leader was obvious on their faces. Fly-Boy hesitated, even with the threat of discipline didn’t seem to be enough to get him to move against the heroes. Unfortunately, Snap-Maw seemed more then motivated as he roared furiously and rushed Artificer. The memory of his humiliation at the Atlantean’s hands still a fresh wound. With a roar of rage the disturbingly wide shark mouth snapped down on his victim, catching Artificer’s arm. When the villain opens his mouth again, obviously readying to take another bite out of him, the Atlantean can feel the warmth of his own blood as it begins to spread from the bite. In the office, Bear-Knuckle sneers at the giant wolf in front of him. “You’re outta luck mutt, I’m not above a little animal cruelty.” He said as he lashed out with one massive bear-shaped hand, the back-handed strike connecting squarely. The blow knocked Owain into the heavy desk with enough force to move it several inches. An sound of surprise barely escapes from under the desk and the big man obviously notices as he spares a quick glance at the desk.
  4. Quick Stealth check for the teens: 19 Bear-Knuckle Notice check: 24 Teens - unhurt Paper - unhurt, 2 HP Goons - 4 unhurt Nightscale - unhurt, 2 HP Villains - Snap-Maw - Bruised Fly-Boy - Bruised TKO - unhurt Bear-Knuckle - unhurt Heavyweight - unhurt Shooting Star - unhurt, 2 HP Artificer - brusied, 1 HP Owain - bruised Neko - unhurt, 1 HP Do I have everyone’s HP correct? @Kaede Kimura @Dr Archeville @Avenger Assembled Just to speed things up a bit you can all post when you can before the start of the next turn. It helps that you’re all kinda dealing with separate problems.
  5. Paper “Whoa, whoa, whoa…” Paper yelped as he dodged Yellow’s tantrum. “Okay girly, that’s enough outta you.” The paper now in his hand collapsed in on itself, reforming into a nightstick. Dodging another of Yellows telekinetic busts he struck out at her, but a last second bust from her knocked the blow aside. Paper cursed his luck as he prepares to dodge her next outburst.
  6. TKO uses his turn to grab his cohorts and give them a stern talking to. Given their fear of their leader’s rage I’m gonna roll for them again with a ‘fear of boss’ bonus to overcome Neko’s intimidate. Fly-Boy: 16 Snap-Maw: 26 Fly-Boy isn’t running again but he loses his actions for the round. Snap-Maw snaps out of it and attacks Artificer. Melee attack: 18 Just barely hits. @Dr Archeville That’s a DC25 Toughness Bear-Knuckle attacks wolf-Owain Melee attack: 20 @Avenger Assembled That’s a DC25 Toughness Heavyweight is not in the room. And I’m just gonna start using their real names, instead of descriptions.
  7. Chimera Chimera was still staring in disbelief when Wordsmith finally fell. All tree of them had given it their all and the man had seemingly just shrugged them off. Part of her was glad the others had arrived, even as another part of her cringed at the total failure she’d been. Finally turning her attention away from the fallen villain, she glanced around. “Has anyone seen Ghost? Or the other one?” She asked trying not to sound worried.

  9. Just his Damage 9 (Paper Weapon) So DC24?
  10. Chimera Chimera pulled herself out of the dent in the Nissan and found her feet. Now she was mad. She couldn’t see Cheat Code anywhere, nor Ghost. She figured he had the gun but in hand, she wasn’t hearing anymore gunfire. She eyed Wordsmith and focused her anger. She stalked towards him, fists clenched in rage. These two could have hurt innocent bystanders, hell for all she knew they already had and she just didn’t know it. She felt the crackle of electricity across her forearms and hands. She really need to learn to control this power better. Not unlike remembering to practice with her wings. When she reach the other two with the word-based villain she slammed her open palm into the man’s chest. Electricity crackled as she made contact and Chimera smiled. The smile quickly faltered as the charge seemed to discharge sporadically, barely getting any reaction from Wordsmith. Chimera stepped back and cursed. She just wasn’t strong enough, she knew it. She was just embarrassing herself in front of two new people.
  11. ugh finally get a crit and, nope
  12. Just had to put that out into the universe. Melee Stun: 28... Holy crap that's a crit. With the +5 that should be a DC23 Fort save I think.
  13. Attack Wordsmith with Stun Do I need to roll to attack if he’s paralyzed?
  14. Paper will coup de grace yellow before she can break free.
  15. Leon basically pulled up a recreation of their encounter in Fury Road, minus Outrider and civilians of course. Just the two busted drones they fought.
  16. Paper Under the Gym, Leon and Luke stood in the control room of the school’s simulation room. Leon tapped commands into the computer. A couple last keystrokes and he had everything ready to go. Inside the simulator room the loud speakers cut on. “Remember, this is just a simulation. Getting hit will still sting, but it ain’t gonna kill ya.” In the simulation room, the walls shimmered as a street formed under the new students’ feet. Along the street, shops form down along the sidewalks with a bodega familiar to Leon and Luke appears behind the new students. In the control room Leon grins over at Luke before turning back to the microphone. “Luke and I handled this in our first year. You guys should be able to do just fine.” Sure he and his roomie had had help when it happened to them, but they didn’t need to know that just yet.
  17. Should be your turn.
  18. Paper Leon was more then ready to bail as the group turned to make a break for Southside. They hadn’t even covered a city block when the sirens reached them. Leon started to worry, but he quickly recognized that they weren’t heading towards them. ‘Good, maybe they get distracted and leave us alone.’ He thought briefly. Then the area rocked by an explosion in a nearby building. Leon cursed the universe. They were totally gonna get blamed for this, he knew it. Wilona and Naomi had a head start and Leon followed after them. He watched Naomi as she used her power to search for victims and smiled. She was smart. “Hey, Effigy!” He called ahead. “Can you put out fires as easily as you start them?” There was no sarcasm in his tone as he used her code name. An explosion in a building could easily rupture a gas line and start a fire. This had just turned from a field trip to a practical exercise. “If not, focus on search and rescue. Chelone can help. Artificer?” He called back to the Atlantean. “Got anything to fight fire? If not, think you can make sure the building isn’t gonna come down on our heads?” Artificer’s transmutation abilities could really make a difference either way he thought. He wasn’t trying to sound like he was giving orders, Leon was just confident in his teammates’ abilities and knew they would stay focused. He was sure he could cover any gap the others couldn’t. Wether it was controlling the fire, reinforcing the structure, or helping with rescues. He’d let them take what roles they felt comfortable with and pick up the slack.
  19. Chimera Chimera grinned. her last blow had landed solidly and she was starting to feel good about this fight. This wouldn’t be so bad, she needed to put the floating jerk down then she could turn her attention back to the fiery one. Then a new comer entered the flaming ring and dashed her hopes. It wasn’t fair if they were gonna keep sending in new opponents. The anger swelled in her and without thinking Chimera lashed an arm out at the Gentleman. A tendril of techno-organic symbiote lashed out from her arm and gouged a rut into the ceiling near where the villain hovered. Chimera looked back at her arm in surprise. As the tendril pulled back and wavered. ‘We’ll… that’s new.’ She thought with a calmness that surprised her even more the the tendril did. Should she be concerned by that?
  20. I’m gonna spend an HP for a stunt. Switching out her Combat Array for Damage 8 (Range: 2 8’ increments [16’]; Feats: Accurate 2; Extra: Ranged; Drawback: Reduced Range 2) [16PP] And attacking Gentleman again: 12 But missing.
  21. Predator Predator nodded at Mirror Knight, letting the hero take the lead as the drops and smears of ichor shone under the UV light. “So this happens with some frequency in your world.” She asked with all seriousness at Mirror Knight’s quip as she watched him conjure up his light. She looked back at Rocket as they began to follow Mirror Knight. “It was visible normally when it attacked me, before that I didn’t see it. It was fairly rocky terrain and something in the local stone was interfering with my radar.” She answered Rocket’s question. The trail of ichor led out into the hall. The building’s dim interior was eerie and quiet, it was a Sunday after all. Following the shining trail was like something out of a horror movie. Predator’s smooth face plate slowly moved as she watched the hall ahead cautiously. Small noises from her joints and the soft hum from her ready blasters were the only sounds coming from her for several moments before speaking again. “Judging by the visible technology, it appears your world is close to my own in basic advancements. Tell me though, are there any advanced research centers?” She asked, the helmet’s speaker giving her off-handed tone a minor distortion. Jean cursed mentally, even small repairs had been hard to make in the last world she’d landed in. “If I have the time after this hunt, I may endeavor to petition for their aid in facilitating repairs before my next shift.” The trio followed the trail down halls in a random pattern, the creature unfamiliar with the environment. Moving deeper into the interior the only lights were a single long bulb every twenty feet or so. At one point the path seemed to split, but Mirror knight could see far enough ahead that he could tell the creature had doubled back and taken the second path. A small plaque on the wall indicating restrooms, the HR office, and a server room were in the new direction.
  22. Chimera "What the...?" Chimera was completely surprised but Grimalkin's sudden appearance and visibly flinched as the heroine's claws tore through her sticky binding. The girl couldn't have been much older then herself at a glance. Recovering from her initial surprise, Chimera nods in agreement. "Sounds like a plan." Pulling herself free of her temporary prison she was again surprise but the sudden appearance of a familiar, white clad hero. Chimera groaned audibly after Ghost greeted them and sank into the street. This was going to be the second time she looked like a fool in front of him. "I hope he didn't see me like that." She wished uselessly, positive that he had. And it wasn't going to be helped as Chimera realized she wasn't paying attention and Wordsmith's attack nearly hit her squarely. She reacted too late and found herself clipped by one of the O's, being slammed back into the car. The impact dazed her and she steadied herself on against the car's hood. She was going to feel real guilty about this when the owner came out to find their vehicle trashed because of her.
  23. Reflex save: 20 Just made it. Toughness save: 15 So of course I miss the Tough save. That's a bruise and a dazed for her.
  24. Chimera Chimera continued to struggle against the sticky remnants of Wordsmith’s attack. She was cursing under her breath, tired of winding up on the losing end of villainous encounters. Maybe she should reconsider the whole ‘hero’ thing. Jamie would just talk her into staying with it. Once more she took a breath and summoned up the enhanced strength grant to her by the symbiote. With a goal of effort she tried again to break free of her sticky prison. She strained for a long moment, she felt something strain with her. She thought she hear something snap but couldn’t be sure. But in the end she was still left panting and stuck. She could only watch as Wordsmith turned on Impact. She still didn’t know who the other man was… Other man? She just realized she couldn’t see the gun nut. She looked around, trying to spot Cheat Code.
