Leon “Oh sh-!” At Yellow’s outburst Leon deftly backflipped out of the way. As he landed paper swarmed to his hand, forming a paper bow. As his other hand pulled the paper bowstring back a paper arrow formed. A twang rang out as the arrow released. It exploded against Yellow’s chest and more strands wrapped around her, covering not just her body but her eyes and ears too. Blind and deaf the poor villain fell to the ground bound and helpless in a paper cocoon. ”Just sit tight while we gather up your friends.” Leon smirked, then realized she couldn’t actually hear him and frowned. ’Right, can’t hear me.’ He thought and rolled his eyes at himself. ”Wasting one-liners.” Leon turned his attention to the rest of the fight.

But it does Obscure her sight and hearing. So he’s hoping that stops her.

Sunday, February 27th 2022, Midday afternoon Predator /Shift end in approximately 14 seconds…/ “Thank you, Cynthia.” Jean snarled as the tentacles tightened around her, trying to crush the armored shell protecting her from the alien environment of the dimensional transition. Servos strained as she fought to pull herself free of the creature. She didn’t even know what it was or what it wanted, and frankly she didn’t care. Honestly, she didn’t even know if it was actually sentient. It had been pulled into the space between worlds with her when she shifted. She’d been through this often enough that she’d been able to tune her sensors to the subtle signs of when a shift would hit her and estimate when it would drop her into a new world. Seconds ticked down as she fell through the nothingness between worlds, struggling against an abomination nearly four times her size. Freeing an arm finally, the fingers of her gauntlet retracted and a click-snap was lost to the colorful void. A foot and a half long blade extended from the back of the hand of the foreplate, just under the Duster plate and clicked into place. With a vicious slash, the edge bit into the tendrils ensnaring her other arm. Again and again she hacked until her other arm was freed. In an instant, a matching blade appeared and Predator began driving the mono-edged weapons deep into the rubbery flesh of what seemed to be the main ‘body’ of the creature. Purple ichor ran from the numerous wounds she dealt it. /4…3…/ The numbers echoed in her ears as she desperately tried to free herself. /2…1…/ Crap, wherever she was about to wind up, it seemed she was going to have an unwanted tag-a-long. /0…/ Inside her helmet, Jean shut her eyes against the disorientation of shifting. Nothing happened for a full two seconds. It was only an estimated timing after all, it wasn’t right all the time, to be honest it was never 100% correct. Another second passed and a tentacle slipped around one of her arms again. She pulled her other arm back to slash… A new reality slammed into the combatants. The force driving them apart as the duo fell through open midday air. Predator quickly recovered, it wasn’t her first shift after all. Noting the pull of gravity on her again she twisted as she fell, getting a view of where she was falling to. Below her a city stretched out beyond her current field of view. Inside her helmet, screens flickered and shifted as a wave of new data was being processed. /Locate gravity detected…calculating time to impact…7 seconds…6…/ Jean grunted, but her primary concern was the mass of tentacles and teeth mere meters away from her. It was slightly lower then her, most likely due to their relative orientation when they shifted. Somewhere in the corner of her HUD the local time and date synced and she made a split second decision. ‘Sunday…’ She thought briefly. /5…4…/ Predator twisted again, bring the hands of her gauntlets to bear on the creature. The blades click-snapped, collapsing and sliding back into the forearms of the suit as her palms opened to reveal the focusing lens of the twin blasters set within. Taking only a moment to note her surroundings and judge her attack. /3…/ Light erupted as the energy blasts struck the creature. The force actually slowing Predator’s decent even as they drove the creature down with more momentum. The angle of the attack drove the thing into a nearby building, sending it plowing into empty offices before it could land on the populated street or sidewalk. The sound of the impact alerted those below, causing a commotion as people either ran for cover or pulled out cell phones. /2…/ It didn’t matter to Predator though, as long as they stayed out of harm’s way. Using her maneuvering thrusters she slowed her fall and angled into the opening in the building’s exterior. Inside the ruined office Predator rolled with her landing and came up with her palm blasters ready, Cynthia’s countdown cutting off. The creature was not in sight though. Dust and papers fluttered in the air, settling around the destroyed furniture. She could hear the buzz of damaged lighting and the interior was dim, but not dark. It had only been a moment between her shots and her entering, it should be in sight. Slowly the smooth faceplate of the helmet scanned the room. Nothing registered on her sensors and she began to worry. /Negative signs of movement…/ Cynthia offered. “Gimme thermal vision.” Jean ordered. /Engaging.../ On her screens the color palette of her imaging switched to the colorful gradations of infrared thermal sight. It was hiding, waiting to strike. This had been how it has surprised her just before she shifted. It had come out of nowhere, latching on to her seconds before they both dropped out of that world and fell into the void between worlds as she had decided to call it. What it didn’t count on was that this time it was the prey, and a Predator was the one on the hunt for it.

"Maybe its Smaug." He chuckled as they continued. The hammering beat of the crashing growing a little louder with each step they took... Which turned out not to be that many once the 'ground' seemed to fall out from under them. Leon felt himself start to fall even before his brain registered what was happening. Instinctively, he tried to slow himself as he slid along the tumbling coins, but a surge of coins took his balance and his ankle rolled on him. With a snarl hit bit back the yelp of pain, even as he grunted upon landing shoulder first on the rough, solid flow of coins. He tumbled and rolled, trying to limit any further injuries until he finally came to a stop battered, bruised and half covered in coins.

I'll go with Acrobatics. Tempted to use Skill mastery but can't let Luke show him up in style. Acrobatics: 11... really... a nat 1... You know what I'll take it. This should be funny.

Leon Leon chuckled at Luke's reaction. "I'm kidding." He let the paper wings collapse. "Those are too uncomfortable. Feels more like being dragged through the air." The paper swirled, some of it collecting into his hand the rest forming a small, flat disc that he stepped on to. "Okay, he's got you beat in the style department." Leon chuckled. The disc lifted him up, following after Luke as his roommate's louder voice carried better across the wind. ------ Leon was quick to point out the library, calling it out over the wind as he maneuvered around the dragon. He was grinning up until Coach Armstrong called out to them. "How does he yell that loudly?" He exaggerated a grimace, then sighed dramatically. He chuckled and yelled over at Luke. "Looks like we're busted. We should probably ground ourselves before he decides to ground us permanently." Leon smirked and turned back to the others. "Alright newbs, looks like the were walking the rest of this tour. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of chances to stretch your wings and practice in the future." As he landed, Leon stepped off the paper disc and dissolved into paper that swarmed up to collect on the clipboard he was still carrying. "Sup, Coach?" He smiled up at Coach Armstrong innocently. "Like my associate said, we were just giving the new kids a quick tour before taking them to the dorms." Leon said in his most professional tone, but the grin on his face didn't help his case.

@Avenger AssembledI edited the first paragraph of her History to give a little more clarity about her world. I also just went ahead and change the name of the city to Freedom for less confusion. If you want more I can try to expand it a little more, but I do plan on making a Guidebook page for Anthro-Earth later if she's approved.

Leon Leon saw the officer getting ready to draw his weapon. He was tensed, ready to react at the drop of a hat when Hero’s wall erupted out of the ground. He was genuinely surprised and looked back and forth front one end of it, around to the other. He glanced over as both Hero and Dr Macedon suggested they retreat. He hadn’t been lying, he did want to start a fight if he could help it. He back at Naomi. ”They’re right.” he said begrudgingly. ”We should get outta here. Think you can talk her down enough to go?” He asked the girl quietly, nodding towards her fiery friend. He really hope she could talk Wilona into retreating.

Looking into Worlds, I think Ani-Earth is a little ‘toon-ish for Predator. Maybe a world off-shoot from it, closer to main FC. I know the pic is a little chibi-ish but is was the best pic of her I had.

The duo moved on from the chest of lost things. It seemed to take an massive effort to protect the book he clutched to his chest. It wasn’t easy maneuvering through the water with one hand, but Leon managed. With Luke’s help he clambered up on to the ledge of the new chamber. “I hear ya, I’d kill for a flashlight or even an old timey torch.” Leon panted, taking a moment to gather himself. Straightening up, he felt around and put a hand on his friend’s shoulder when he found it. As they moved along in the darkness he could feel the other boy flinch. “You okay?” He asked Leon heard the distinctive clinking of the coins and smirked into the darkness. “Great, now if we could just get outta here. Wherever ‘here’ is.” He chuckled, but it was tinged with weariness. It was obvious the ex-thief was pushing himself to keep up. It’s was proving to be a long and testing night. “I swear, if someone pops out and says ‘Gotcha’ I’m gonna let you punch them right in the face.”

I didn’t realize that was a thing.

Oh my god, how did I miss that. Fixed.

Haven’t settled on a title for it, but once Predator is approved (one down, one to go) I was going to post an intro thread. I’m gonna ask @RocketLord if he’d be willing to bring in Rocket to give her an intro to the Atom Academy. There will probably be a little bit of combat to start as she won’t be arriving alone. I was planning on midday, Downtown so if a few others want to meet the armored hero to be, I’ll let you know when it starts.

Leon managed a weak smile and nodded as his friend offered some comfort. He looked away and quickly wiped his face and did his best to compose himself as Luke reflected on the soccer ball. ”If you want, we can go back and teach those guys a lesson.” He offered with a chuckle. Leon gripped the book tightly and clutched it to his chest almost reflexively. He still hadn’t noticed his arm was paper again and completely undisguised. He gave Luke a slight nod. “This is the only thing outta there I care about.” He said with some finality. He regarded the shard in his roomies hands and nodded again. It seemed to radiate a feeling if importance he couldn’t pin down. “Ya, better hold on to that. Could be important.”

Reflex save for big guy: 25 Sorry, buggy has a decent Ref. With Neko’s success with the illusion I’m saying the bug guy and glowy eyes are stunned, and lose their turn. Shark guy is still hanging in Artificer’s power, unwilling to struggle considering the height. The red-haired man comes out of the office to see what all noise is about. @Kaede Kimura Star is up.

GM The bug guy shuts his eyes and looks away in time at the glare of Nightscale’s eyes, luckily avoiding the effect of the dragon’s power. Both he and the man with the glowing eyes manage to stand their ground against Neko’s intimidating illusion, though they seemed hesitant to act. Hanging in the air the shark man stares down at the ground many stories below and decides not to struggle against the energy bonds holding him. He does shoot Artificer a hate filled glare and snarls at him. ”You’ll regret this you little fish.” Inside the office the red-haired man gets aggravated at the noise from the main room. He yanks the door open and steps half out. ”What the hell is going on out here?” He yells angrily as he looks around. Spotting Paper and wolf-Owain by the window and Artificer floating outside his irritation is readable on his face as he barks orders. ”Don’t just stand there, get them!”
