Paper Leon settled in as Neko made herself comfortable. “Everything is better with a cat.” He chuckled and glanced in Berni’s direction. “See, that’s why you just ignore his number when he calls. Then you don’t get dragged into extra training.” He teased jokingly, knowing full well he had been skipping out on several training sessions Charlie had arranged. His chuckle tapering off at the end as the red-head mentioned her band keeping her busy. He coughed and cleared his throat. “Well, it’s got my vote.” Leon added when Bernadette prompted.

Okay, how well known is Synth? I don’t think Jean would recognize her on sight, especially in her ‘true form’. I don’t know if they would be listed in the general files Jean would have access to at Freedom Tower.

Paper Leon honestly wasn’t sure if he should be insulted or not. He wasn’t ashamed of his past. He had done what he needed to to survive. He and his siblings. Two or thee years ago, he might have actually given Aaron’s offer some weight. Now though… He had friends. A team he was actually proud to be apart of Again, a year or so ago and that might have weighed the other way, but not now. And then there was hi as girlfriend. She was a little firecracker herself. Not afraid to push back as hard as she was pushed, but she was a good girl... but not too good. He grinned to himself. “Twenty grand? Or some favors? Hmph.” Leon’s stance shifted to an indifferent slouch as he crossed his arms. “And all we gotta do is let you and yours slide? Maybe play snitch on your rivals?” It was a low hill he was standing on he had to admit. Had’t he let his brother and sister off without so much as a token ‘no, stop.’ He tilted his head to look at the projection of Luke. “What do you think? Are we that cheap?”

Predator Predator didn’t move at first. She was torn of two minds. On one hand, she was sure she could take the woman down before she could but up suitable resistance. But on the hand, her curiosity drove her to finally step forward and follow the scientist. This was simply to gather more evidence and determine. Her own overwhelming need to know and understand was, of course, not a part of the equation. She made a token effort to hide her curiosity with a few probing questions. “So ‘the end is nigh’ and your only thought was to hasten it for profit?” She asked with her practiced indifference.

Blackstaff The flying girl had intervened on his behalf, sending one of the goblins with a bloody headpiece sailing down the lane. All around the street goblins were scattered in degrees of incapacity. The two redcaps that had managed to remain unharmed smartly decided it best to retreat. ‘Blade?’ Blackstaff wondered and eyed the villains quickly. The villain in white laid bleeding as her teammate came to her defense. The magician girl seemed ready to fight if needed, good for her. He was going to regret having to fight someone with obvious integrity if it came to it. The shorter barrel man though did not seem troubled at all. They leapt in to attack the two, with gusto. He glanced at the other two villains. The larger man and the armored one. Both a threat. “Eenie, Meenie..” The tip of the blackened wood staff wavered between the two for a moment. “Miny… Hey Moe!” Blackstaff managed a brief Curly impersonation as the staff snapped to Steel Shade. “Teras Coleemia!” A column of asphalt sprang up from the street with surprising speed and force. It was aimed squarely for the armored villain.

Paper Leon smiled and gave Neko a little shrug. “That’s because most traded scary for gory, and now they confuse the two.” He gave a little chuckle as he sat down on the couch. He’d happily watched it more than once with her. If asked he’d honestly agree that it was a good movie and he could see why she enjoyed it. “Fantasia is a good movie, yes.” He agreed as Neko made herself comfortable in his lap. His hand instinctively starts to stroke her hair. Leon looked up as Muirne and Luke showed up. “Hey you two.” He gave the couple a little salute wave. “You’re just on time. No one’s pick the first movie yet. I say we make the rookie picks first.” He grins and looks over at Vik. “No pressure.”

Predator The armored helmet tilted in Echohead’s direction, the front sliding up like a visor. She gave the human agent a grin. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” She chuckles. “I do miss my railguns.” She says with complete seriousness, and somehow Echohead knows she isn’t joking about it. Vague ideas (or are they memories?) of schematics for shoulder-mounted mini-railguns flicker across Echohead’s thoughts for a moment. If he had the time and parts it would be child’s play… even with these things humans call fingers. Predator turns her attention to the horde of Dennis’ and the plates across the ‘back of the hands’ on her gauntlets snap down into place and begin glowing faintly. Echohead recognizes the Knuckle Dusters being activated from some unspoken pompt. More details flicker through his thoughts, ideas of charged energy cells releasing focused shockwaves. Something that he's sure his pistol could do with just a few tweaks. A face, an older man of doberman descent, grins fatherly-like with a mouth of sharp canines... Robert The name carries a pain of loss… And then the memory is gone, leaving a strong mantra to 'Finish the mission'. Predator leaps up on top of the ambulance to give herself a small advantage while she can. “Cynthia, adjust KDs for civilian targets.” “Yes, ma’am. Charged force emitters adjusted for use against threat level zero targets.” Rangefinders count down as she watches the masses. A line is crossed and the armored hero strikes out, her fist punching the air in front of her. A wave of charged force explodes from an invisible point mere centimeters in front of her fist. The cone of force slamming into the on rushing Dennis’. Meanwhile the copy in Echohead's mind keeps pointing out ways the scanners could be improved. Range amplifiers... targeting sequencers... if only there was time and resources. -

And I promise, no jokes about how much room there is. -
Predator Predator’s helmet turned to look in the direction of the cylinders as the scientist indicated them. Her computer systems recording everything. She turned her attention back to the woman, letting her speak as she watched, noting her nervousness. “I used the door.” She stated matter-of-factly, continuing in that same, seemingly indifferent tone. “Your security systems are underwhelming in comparison to your genetics work.” The helmet cocked slightly in an inquisitive gesture. “You have to realize if you hadn’t made your initial contact with me via Dr North, I wouldn’t have had any reason to come here. Most likely no one would have come before it was too late.” She waving gesture with a gauntlet. “You presented a unique and intriguing mystery, one I could not abide going uninvestigated.” “Now, I feel I must ask: Why? What is it you hope to accomplish?”

Predator In the back of the ambulance Predator did her best to focus on the scanners. It wasn’t easy with the vehicle seemingly bouncing around like what a pinball must feel like inside its cabinet. She couldn’t hold it against Echohead. It was her understanding that something like an ambulance drove differently from a typical car. Also, there were other outstanding obstacles to consider. All things considered, as long as they made it to the tower in one piece it was acceptable. Echohead announced their arrival as the vehicle came to a stop and she tried to reassure him. “Excellent work.” She glanced out the windows in the back doors. “Hmm.” The armored hero sounded undisturbed by the looming hoard. “The scanners should be ready to attune. If you need to copy my skills again, now is the time.” She collected them up and handed them to Echohead. “I will cover you.” The mechanical fingers on her gauntlets retracted and the barrels set in the palms opened, a dim glow rising from inside them. -

Paper The paper motorcycle collapsed even before it came to a full stop, letting Paper kinda slid along it as it swarmed and reshaped again. The paper welding hero was now riding atop his signature paper dino, Sue the T-Rex. He managed a glance over the scene just before Purple Haze obfuscated most of the ‘battlefield’. He groaned in annoyance. “Really? Coulda gone a lot longer before laying eyes on you two.” He glared in the direction he saw Crimson Mist before her brother had transformed and blocked line of sight on anyone inside his mist. Paper’s attention snapped in the direction of Ghule’s call, and Sue reacted with a silent sneer. He knew from their past encounter that he couldn’t do anything to touch either of them in mist form. He couldn’t see anything through the mist and he wasn’t about to rush in blindly. Guess it was plan ‘B’ then, try to piss off the baddies until they make a mistake. “Think you need to stop transforming Hazey boy, you’re losing brain cells. I was the one that hit on your little sister.” His glare swept over the mist with general annoyance. “Gotta say, dodged a bullet with that little psycho brat, didn’t I? I’m a firm believer of not swapping spit with crazy.”

Paper Leon beamed as Neko kissed his cheek. He noticed his girlfriend slipping him the soda case to carry, and didn’t resist. “Midnight? Cool, try to get you home before you turn into a pumpkin.” He chuckled and gave Vik a smile and a nod before Neko to his arm and they headed towards the others. “Yeah, but I don’t think they’re buying it as a horror.” He chuckled and whispered back. “Might have to wait till bad-action-movie-night. There’s always Wild Zero. I just got it on blu-ray.” Leon grinned knowingly. He looked up as Pol rounded the corner to greet the girls. “And you don’t even have to worry about sharing.” He teased her.

Predator The doors slid open and Predator’s eyes scanned the room displayed on her screens. Her AI was already highlighting and marking predefined important equipment it could identify. Her attention falls on the woman and a small window in the corner of her screen is already cycling through images as Cynthia tries to ID the woman, starting with WEST personal lists before moving on to other data banks. Predator remains silent and motionless for a moment longer before the metallic clad tail flips in agitation. “Or?” She challenges in an indifferent tone, but doesn’t move yet.

Predator Predator looked down at the unconscious leader of the attack and nodded. With a silent command the Predator armor returned to z-space with only the faintest sound of air rushing into the now empty space. “While not an actual member rod the League myself, I can not speak for them. But, personally I can offer my services if you should need them in the future.” She offered Star Kahn her hand, then offered it to Paradigm. “Hopefully next time we meet, it will be under more peaceful terms.” She glanced over at the two younger heroes. “Although it seems the younger ones seem to have no objections to such rowdiness.” She chuckled.
