  1. Okay, wasn’t expecting 3 reply’s that quickly. ? I’m flattered. What the heck, I’ll three shouldn’t be any harder then two. (He says having not done this here before) The idea of 3 high school heroes coming to the aid of a college aged hero is kinda funny to me since I’m pretty sure the kids would have more combat experience then the older one. I’ll try to get the thread up tonight.
  2. Paper/Leon - 4 Party Rocking - 4 Blackstaff/Christopher - 3 Big Trouble in Little Jadetown - 3 Chimera/Jennifer - 8 Back Alley Brawl - 3 Breaking the Bastion - 3 Freestyle! - 2 GM - 6 (for Chimera) Back Alley Brawl - 6
  3. So I was thinking of trying to GM a bit. The idea is an evening encounter/fight. Possible near Freedom University. Since it’s my first try I was thinking may one or two peeps, with one of my own (Chimera) as an npc. Any takers? I’m also open to tips and words of warning.
  4. Jennifer tried to think for a moment. ”Who knew you were working on this? Has anyone suspicious or threatening approached you lately?” She tapped her chin thoughtfully as she asked, she hoped helpfully. ”Is there any way you could prove the work was yours? Anything in the design or programming?” Jennifer hadn’t even noticed she was feeling less nervous yet as she focused on the problem at hand.
  5. “What did I tell you!” Leon had to yell a little to be heard, but he was grinning like a kid in a candy store as the music hammered him and his friend. “Isn’t this awesome! Now this is a ‘Good Friday’!” A leather looking jacket/hoodie combo hung open revealing a Justice t-shirt. His usual jeans and sneakers completed the outfit. Leon put an arm around Luke’s shoulder to be heard a little better. “Elizabeth would love this.” He said absentmindedly with a chuckle. “Let’s find some trouble.” He patted his friend on the back and scanned the crowd for potential targets as he nodded along with the music. After all, parties like this had plenty of rich brats, which meant there would be plenty of dealers. Lightening their wallets always made these parties even more fun.
  6. Christopher ran along side Adrianna. When a pair of harpies grabbed onto the chair and lifted her towards the rooftop he smirked and chuckled. ”Showing off again.” But as she rose higher Christopher say the nightmare leap from the roofs and he picked up his pace. Ahead of him he spotted the creation being threatened by a coupe of guards... or was it the other way around? Either way, trouble was about to start. Blackstaff reached into his coat for the blasting rod he used to focus his magic and shook his wrist, feeling the light weight of the shield bracelet against his skin. The tiny metal shields woven into its design warmed as he poured even the slightest bit of his will into.
  7. Doktor'd! Paper Okay, really should have included these skill at creation but I wasn’t thinking. So I’d like to use a few points to add skills. 5PP to add 20 skill ranks Adding Gather Information 7 (+10) Knowledge, Pop Culture 6 (+9) Knowledge, Streetwise 7 (+10)
  8. “There it is.” Christopher informs Adrianna, pointing up in its direction. “It’s stationary right now, and there’s something else there.” He adds curiously. Also, noting mentally that it happened to head in the direction the ground had moved off in. “We should probably catch up with it.”
  9. Jennifer flinches at Thomas’ accusation. He was only saying out loud what she was thinking herself. “I, ah..” She stammers sheepishly, rubbing her arm nervously. She looks down and away. ”You’re... right. I should have.” Jennifer gathers herself up and looks back up at the man. She wasn’t sure if the color in her cheeks was more embarrassment or more anger. “But to be fair, if it was a villain then they might not have gotten here in time anyway, or worse, they could have been hurt.” She counters as she waves a hand at the campus security.
  10. Christopher chuckles and smiles. ”Not much, but I am willing to to travel as needed.” *** Christopher looked at Adrianna. ”He is my client, and it would be unprofessional of me to abandon him before he’s safely away. Will you be okay? I could call you an ride.” He offers, even as he digs a card out of his pocket and holds it out to her.
  11. At her elevator pitch for for the creature she named the Carnifex, and the mention of several rather ‘interesting’ names Christopher raised a curious eyebrow but didn’t interrupt. ”I feel we will have a very interesting conversation one of these days.” When she askes, Christopher smiles. “Not a spell per se.” He closes his eyes and takes a breath. When he exhales, he opens his eyes again the magically in tune Adriana might spot a brief shine in his eyes and maybe a brief shimmer at the center of his forehead as the mage opens his mind’s eye to perceive the magic of the world. Casting his gaze up towards the rooftops, he scans around for the telltale magic of such a powerful creature.
  12. Jennifer had the idea it could be would a sizable amount as Thomas yelled. She couldn’t blame him. Her face was serious as she thought. When he suddenly stopped yelling and seemed to actually look at her she got a little nervous and tried to smile innocently, she immediately thought better of this and tried to switch to more casual neutral expression. ”I’m a student and I, ah.” She glanced over at the security woman and pointed. “I’m a witness.”
  13. “You know professor, someday maybe we can sit down and talk again. Under more favorable conditions of course. I’m sure I could learn lot.” Christopher stood and waited for Heir before the three headed back towards the Red Summer. At the boat Alaynah seemed to assess the two of them. He looked over at the girl and merely raised an eyebrow as he gave her a friendly smile and nodded to her.
  14. No problem. ?
  15. “Tea would nice.” Christopher nodded and gave her a friendly smile as he looked back at Adriana. “It’s your creation, I guess I’ll follow your lead.” He spares a glance in the direction of the retreating group, then back at her. “It seems to have a mind if it’s own, I mean, more so than the others.” He motions to the other dream creations that surround her. He gave her an inquisitive look. “Do you know which way it went? I mean, can you track it?”
  16. Jennifer wasn’t sure how she felt. She hoped she wouldn’t be grouped in with Freestyle. She glanced over at the man at the computer, Thomas Kent, if she was guessing right. ”Someone broke in and set off explosions, just to copied files?” She tries to sound incredulous. “That doesn’t sound very thief-y. Maybe there was a fight?” She glanced back at the security woman. ”At least I was helpful in letting them know something happened.” She thought positively, taking some comfort in that little bit. “If I hadn’t gotten into that fight, no one would have even probably noticed.” ”Besides, this is a college campus not MarsTech or ASTRO Labs. What could someone want from here?.”
  17. Jennifer tries to look properly ashamed, which isn’t all that hard for her at the moment. “I, ah, wanted to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. Also, if it had been one of the good guys I was kinda thinking it be cool to meet a real hero.” “Cause I’m certainly not shaping up to be one.” She thought to herself bitterly. Jennifer looks down at the floor for a moment, then looks back up at the security women and clears her throat. “It was a dark skinned women in a grey bodysuit. She had rollerblades and a visor, so I didn’t get a good look at her face. It kinda looked like she skated right down the wall.” She hesitates for moment before asking nervously. “So... did anyone see what happened?”
  18. I really wish I had a space hero. The Raiders one sounds fun.
  19. I’d be happy to bring Paper in if you’d like.
  20. Christopher watched Carnifax jump away and wondered if he should go after it, but decided against it. He bowed his head in return to the young lady and hurried after Adriana. He took a moment to watch the group start off again then turned back to his friend. He gave her a friendly smile. “We really need to stop meeting like this.” He joked. “I hope you didn’t mind me not yelling your real name out in the street.” He glances up at the roof Carnifax leapt to. “Is it safe to let that one run off? It seemed different then your other creations.”
  21. Jennifer watches the man, guessing he was one of the names on the door plate. She debates speaking for a moment then steps forward. ”I saw someone climb in through the window.” She says trying to sound a little frightened. “I came in to get a better look... but I hid in the bathroom when I heard an explosion.” Jennifer waved back towards the stairs. “I came out when I heard people coming up.”
  22. Blackstaff watched the professor’s demeanor change as if, well... if one would pardon the pun, as if he was shedding a skin. As his client began to weave his tale, Blackstaff found himself drawn in. He had never dug into the stories of these ancient races and so many conflicting rumors rendered anything he heard unreliable at best. He was fascinated by something so near as a firsthand accounting. There was a silence that hung in the air around the table when Advay finished. Blackstaff stared at the serpent, his gaze shifted to Dreamer for a moment then back at the professor. He leaned back in his chair and steepled his fingers in thought before he spoke. ”You are still my client.” He started. “At least until I can get you out of the city. I don’t normally appreciate being deceived, but in your case I think it can be understood. I will still vouch for you that what happened was a horrible accident and petition to clear you of blame.” He leaned forward and rested he forearms on the table, fingers lanced. “After that, you’re free to do as you please. I’ve never promoted revenge and I’m no hitman. But the finding and recovery of what’s been lost is within my chosen fields. If I can help without causing undue harm, my office is open.” He pauses to make sure Advay understands. His tone and posture softens a bit as he adds. ”You’re a man out of time and without a home. The world has change and I hope you can find peace one day.” He hesitates before asking. ”What of the other sites? Were there any other survivors?”
  23. 11 . . ...That would be a no... Not worth re-rolling I think.
  24. Christopher was just as startled by the appearance of the nightmarish Cernifex as others. Perhaps he needed to help the young lady sooner, rather then later. The group responded as expected, drawing weapons and the such. Christopher moved around them towards Dreamer’s side. Gathering his will as he did so when the the lady with them stepped forward to plead with Dreamer. He was both impressed with her courage and touched be her sadness. He was always a sucker for a damsel in distress. Standing equal distance from both women to form a triangle Christopher addresses Dreamer. “Heir.” He called to her, purposefully using the fake name she had given him last time they met. “There’s no need for this. No harm was done.” Christopher tries to sound calm even though his gaze flickers to Carnifex nervously every so often as he speaks. “Meeting rudeness with violence will solve nothing. Besides, it’s not them you’re frightening the most right now.” Christopher motioned around at the fearful crowds of citizens trying to give them as much room as possible, parents trying to hurry children to safety and many others just plain running in fear.
  25. “I-“ Jennifer started before someone brushed past her and the security personal. She saw the opening though and took advantage of it, following them up unhindered. She hung back only far enough to not get in the way as she watched the unfolding scene upstairs.
