  1. Predator Predator studied the maps on her display and furrowed her brows as she calculated possible trajectories of approach. None of them were ideal. She glanced at Echohead and gave him a small nod. “Duly noted. You’re in luck, the tower we need to reach is more isolated from the surrounding buildings. We’ll need an alternate avenue of approach. The helmeted figure scanned the surroundings for possible strategic options. Predator coughed in slight embarrassment. “I’m… I’m afraid driving… is not one of my strongest skills.” She waved dismissively. “Mind you, I am educated in the basic principles and the working fundamentals. I am capable of driving, but I’m afraid I would not be participating in any extracurricular racing or such.” “There.” She pointed a mechanical finger at her suggestion. An ambulance, sitting forgotten near the emergency room entrance. “If you can drive, I can attempt to ready the scanners before we arrive. That way we will not have to stay in the open as long.”
  2. Blackstaff The goblins and redcaps were proving to be as irritating as they were unpleasant. Blackstaff was barely keeping himself from being assaulted as it was. Some of the others had managed to incapacitate multiple creatures already, and yet they just seemed to keep swarming. The wizard was getting fed up with the little buggers. The air all across the street dropped several degrees and crackled. The taste of wet winter carried on a subtle breeze as the Blackstaff waved his black staff in a single, slow circle. Frost flaked from it as he did, leaving a floated trail in the air as the moisture in the air increased. Energy gathered around him as he uttered a chant under his breath. And as the staff completed its circle, the ring of frost flared and Blackstaff exclaimed the final words of the spell. “Infrignia fortuzaria!” Heat was sucked out of the air in a flash of brilliant blue-white. Ice coated nearly everything in a fine layer around the across the battlefield. But within the area, thick plates of ice trapped those unlucky enough to be caught by the magic.
  3. Paper “My vote is for Story of Ricky first.” Leon grinned as grabbed a chip from one of the bowls one of Bernadette’s dupes had just set down. “Neko will back me on this.” He wags the chip at Berni in mock anger. “And I know Charlie keeps suggesting Jumper only because he knows how much I hate it.” Leon overly exaggeratedly eats the chip. He’d dodged the last couple training sessions Charlie had set up. Making excuses to hide what he’d really been doing, but he made sure he had made time for this night. A chime sounded letting them know someone was at the gate. A quick glance at one of the security monitors Charlie smartly distributed around the mansion showed two young ladies waiting patiently as the gate slid open. Leon grinned like the canary that got caught by the cat. He put on a bad Dracula voice and smiled at Berni. “The guests have arrived, blah.” Leon chuckled and wandered off to greet Neko and Vik at the front door.
  4. Predator Predator caught the hint of something in the air as it filtered through the suit. Warnings sprang up on her screens even as it tried to tug gently at her thoughts, but the hero quickly shook off the effects. A fraction of a second later air hissed from the environmental seals and the armor’s internal environment became a separate entity from the outside. It wasn’t the best option, but it was all she had at the moment. She reflexively started to move but her mind was faster and she kept herself still. With a conscious effort she even stopped to tail from fidgeting. If she was being observed, whoever was watching had no way to be sure whether the gas had taken effect or not. If she remained still, she may be able to catch anyone waiting at the end of this ride off guard. All she could do was wait. “Cynthia, move the repair of the environmental filtering system to the ‘Top Priority’ list.” “Yes ma’am.”
  5. Paper Leon quickly put his hands up in a placating gesture. “Sorry. I didn’t mean anything.” He tried to apologize, dropping his hands as the other girls spoke up. “They’re right.” He added somberly. “Everyone has off days sometimes. I’ve had my own share of bad days and stupid calls.” Leon admitted. “Hell, my first year at Claremont, I nearly blew myself up zapping a half busted Omega drone with power lines. My man can verify that, he was there.” He thumbed over at Nightscale. “A hero isn’t measured by how many times they’re knocked down, but how many times they get back up.” Leon paraphrased an old comic book movie speech. “You’re on your feet, so you got this.” He smiled and offered he fist for bumping. “If you still need some space, we’ll understand and we’ll be here when you’re ready.” He didn’t want to push Vik, he understood the need for personal space sometimes. He glanced over at Stormcrow trying to interrogate Visor. He noticed the other guy had vanished. Whatever, he didn’t know him, if he didn’t want to stick around it was no loss. Just then, his phone rang. He dug it out of his pocket and looked at the screen. He gave a little sigh and stepped away from the others to answer. “Little busy, make it quick.”
  6. If Echohead is willing to drive, Predator can work on the scanners.
  7. That was why I asked. I should add some kind of immunity for gas attacks.
  8. Okay, so technically, the suit has life support so I was thinking that after making her save the armor reacts by sealing itself from the outside ‘threat’?
  9. Fort save: 23
  10. Blackstaff Blackstaff dismissed the small details for the moment but filed them away for later as he pulled off and down the road. He focused on traffic, but found himself glancing into the mirrors more frequently than needed. Resisting the urge to look back every time he spotted that grin. He did his best to look calm for his passenger. The duo (plus dreams) arrived back at his office without any problems and the wizard was glad for it. He helped Dreamer out of the car and into the office. “Sorry, the office is closed, you are welcome to wait or leave a mes-“ Lark looked up from a textbook and stopped mid-sentence. It was obvious from her tone and cadence that it was a practiced announcement. She’s obviously surprised by her boss’s return as she started to stand. “What happened? Is something wrong?” She looked at Alice and cocked an eyebrow at her boss. Christopher gave a small shrug. “Found a damsel.” Said as he locked the door behind them, then place an open palm on it. “Potestas in domum suam.” He whispered and fade blue-green light outlined the door and windows. If she looked closer, Alice could probably make out the glow coming from tiny ribbons of arcane script.
  11. Predator Predator contemplated taking the stairs instead. But ultimately, they were already aware of her intrusion and she had no reason to suspect any overwhelming threat. In the end, she stepped into the elevator and pressed the button labeled ‘Research’. The armored figured stood statue still as she waited. The only betraying movement was the end of her tail, which flipped from side to side in irritation.
  12. Blackstaff is going to target the largest grouping of gobs and caps he can with a snare. It doesn’t have selective, so he’ll have to make sure heroes are in the target area (villains are okay to catch ) It’s a Snare 10 with general burst so he can go up to a 50’ radius. Ref save DC 20
  13. Paper Leon glanced in Vik’s direction as the girl started to walk. “Hey, just where do you think you’re runnin’ off to?” He chuckled. “If I gotta stick around, so do you. That’s what it means to be a Young G.” Leon reached out and ruffled her hair. Sure, she was only about 4 inches shorter than him, but it wasn’t going to stop him from messing with her curly hair like a little sister. “The more us there are, the less likely those two will start with the PDAs.” He thumbed over at Stormcrow and Multi-Girl. “Besides, Stormy’s paying for lunch. Aren’t you?” Leon smirked.
  14. Paper Leon tilted his head and scratched his chin. “Yaaa, guess we were a little reckless back then. To be fair though, we were still cool af.” He smirked and looked at the helmet on the table. “Wait a minute, you-“ He shook a finger at Aaron as he recognized the costume. “You were that armored guy that hit the bank.” Leon laughed at the irony. Luke was still lurking and it was obvious Aaron figured he was around, but didn’t know where the dragon was. “Good. Let’s keep it that way.” He thought. “You think we hit up your sister to try to get to you?” He said as tried to stop laughing, doing the whole wiping his eyes bit. “Man, you ain’t all that.” He taunted. “We really did bump into her by accident.” He snickered. “We had no idea who you were. Then, you go and out yourself to us, that’s just priceless.” He laughs again hoping that if he can draw Aaron’s anger, the villain would leave himself wide open to Luke. “Guessing Alice doesn’t know. I mean, I don’t really have any room to judge. Both my brother and sister are career criminals. Hell, I use to be too.”
  15. Paper Paper watched Visor and Legion fall under Multi-girl’s attack. He swung his paper bow over the street quickly before letting it fall apart when he was sure all threats were neutralized. He stepped up as the others all seemed to congregate back in the center of the scene. Leon gave Multi-girl a nod and a grin. “A lot more fun than light-gun tag.” The new guy in fancy armor gave them the old ‘you did good’ speech, like most adults that underestimated them just because they were young. Something was a little off about the man on top of that. He glanced at his roommate and chuckled. “These guys? Ya, there’s Side-o-Beef.” Paper thumbs over at Bighorn. “Angry McScreams-a-lot.” He motioned in Mindfire’s direction. “Not Multi-Girl.” He nods towards Legion and Visor. “And Cyclops…” Paper paused and shook his head. “Na, that’s a stupid name. Shades? Ray-Ban? We’ll workshop it.” He smirked and shrugged. “Wait, wasn’t there another one? Oh ya, the other guy that went down way easy. We’ll just call him Basic Bitch.” Paper waved in Sureshot’s direction. Paper nodded in agreement with Nightscale when the other Guardian suggested moving somewhere else. “As long as we can snag something to drink while we’re at it, I’m thirsty now.”
  16. Predator Predator was thankful the nurse was present to help with Echohead’s panic attack. She herself was not very helpful in terms of social anxieties or mental stress. She had never been accused of being infallible in those departments. She had her own issues, she had just gotten better at suppressing them over the years. As the nurse helped her comrade, Predator quickly set about repairing the weapon. The armored hero gave the nurse an approving nod when she looked at her inquisitively. Echohead’s immediate reversal made her feel a little better, but she wanted to give him a chance to calm and refocus so she took her time with the weapon. “Our next stop should be the broadcast tower.” Predator said as she worked. “Once we attune it, we should be able to triangulate the area where this truly started. From there, we will have to rely on the handheld units to hunt down the source of the outbreak.” She was able to correct the bend in the barrel using her own blaster on a precise setting to realign it properly. She proceeded to inspect and secure the internal components that had come loose on impact before finally reassembling the pistol and holding it out to Echohead. Predator nodded to the nurse again. “Please remain safe, we will do everything in our power to bring this to an end.” Jean hoped she sounded as sure about that as she was trying to project.
  17. Predator Predator peered into the room as the door opened. Her sensor reveal nothing as yet. As he noted both the stairs and elevator. Carefully she started across the snowy threshold when the keypad beside the door sparked again. She didn’t even have a chance to glance back at it before a red tinge covered the room and a recording announced her arrival to most likely everyone in the camp. She cursed her sloppy haste, but what was done, was done. When no active defenses revealed themselves, the armored hero slipped up to the elevator. She purposely pressed the call button, pausing to see if it was already at her level or if it had to be called up.

  19. @Fox Math again *shakes fist* Okay, added 1 rank to Diplomacy. That should bring it up to a proper 60.
  20. Craft , Mechanical: 28 Sorry for the delay. ><
  21. Crap, sorry I've been distracted lately. I'll use the HP to double the dodge bonus and just avoid the hit if that's cool.
  22. @Nerdzul I think coup-de-grace is a valid option. Go ahead and post IC. @Avenger Assembled SD is up next. She still has the monstrosity grappled, its staggered and dazed but still struggling, if barely.
  23. @Fox Math, my greatest enemy Okay, fixed total for Abilities. Fixed Grapple bonus. Removed skill ranks to reduce PP for skills by one (removed Gather Information 2 ranks and reduce Medicine 2 ranks). Fixed Skills formatting. Removed Improved Initiative feat to reduce PP by one. That should adjust for the proper total PP now. Removed Affects Insubstantial from Dazzle Removed Ranged from Blast (I probably had it there originally for mathing. :p)
