Predator Cynthia was already loading the building’s schematics, a path to the indicated room drawing along it in a bright blue line. She regarded Echohead. “It should be safe to split up in here, briefly. Do you want to check the computer or the clothes? We can meet back up here afterwards and check the morgue together.” -

Predator Predator caught the captain as he collapsed. She believed him when he said the pilots were okay, but he was most assuredly not. It was obvious the mission had been compromised. But, to what extent? That would have to wait, she needed to help the officer. She easily hopped back into the plane and carefully laid him down. A quick glance around and she found the first-aid kit. It was basic but it would do. A quick search of the man also netted her his own standard issued bandage kit. She knew better than to just yank the shard out. It didn’t seem to have passed through completely. Opening her helmet and disengaging the filters she sniffed the area. The lack of foul smells gave her hope that the wound had miraculously avoided the intestines. She should have time. “I apologize sir, this may hurt.” She offered the man solemnly, then opened a small bottle of antiseptic. Quickly she attempted to clean the wound some, before using several bandages to cover it around the debris. Scooping the captain up she exited the plane. “Cynthia. Put me in contact with the control tower.” “Yes ma’am.” There was a short pause from the computer as Predator began to run as fast as she dared with her passenger. “Connected.” Cynthia spoke again. “Control! This is military flight Foxtrot, Kilo, Delta, Niner. Plane is down. Pilots alive but incapacitated, still onboard. I have one serious wounded, coming to you. Please ready emergency personnel and/or redirect to nearest emergency services.”

Paper The door never stood a chance. Sue burst through them like an unstoppable battering ram. It had served its purpose to focus attention on him while Like snuck in from above. From atop the paper-predator Paper took in the scene. It was like something out of a B-movie. Behind a desk at the center a man sat. A man he recognized as Alice’s older brother. But the way he was dressed raised even more questions. Aaron knew who he was before he could say anything himself. Wordlessly, he hopped down off the construct. Reaching up he pulled off the white paper face mask and regarded him. He figured Like was here too, but didn’t know where. Leo. Needed to keep him focused on him. “How did you know?” He asked as he reached out with his senses again. He’d been wrong, Aaron seemed to be alone but the money was still there.

Predator Predator watched as the alien soldier dropped their weapon and backed away. She relaxed he own stance and nodded in acknowledgment as she took a step back to show acceptance of the ‘cease-fire’. The armored hero moved to rejoin the others, noting the sentiment was shared by the rest of the alien force. “Well, it would seem that sensibility has been reached.” Predator came to stand beside Fleur. She regarded the leader, Sovereign. “What will you do with him?” The question obviously directed at Paradigm and Star Khan. “I would assume your own claim for justice supersedes our own.” The polished helmet looks up at the taller heroes.

Predator Predator nodded as the nurse mentioned the body having been moved to the morgue. She shook her head though as the woman blamed herself. “You had no way to know. Just focus on keeping these people safe until we can clear the area and you can be extracted.” “His records might hold a clue. If it mentions where he was found it would prove a sensible starting point. Any biometrics or evidence found on him.” Predator regards the nurse. “The apparel he arrived in, do you know if it was already disposed of or was it processed as possible evidence for the police?” -
Blackstaff Blackstaff watched the quartet as they stopped to consider the heroes. Suddenly, goblins sprang from hiding, and he swore. Not just goblins, but redcaps as well. Goblins were bothersome, but the redcaps could be just murderous… at best. They could push their less hostile cousins to more violence. He chanced a glance at the shorter man in the red shirt. Well, his sentiment seemed to be in the right. He slowly turned his head to scan his flanks and back. Almost two dozen that he could count. “You shouldn’t be up here.” The wizard addressed the goblins and caps, knowing better than to try correcting their demand. They meant what they said. “Leave now, and I promise none will follow.” Blackstaff tried to sound authoritative, and totally not worried. They were smaller, but if they swarmed…

Predator Steam quickly rose around the armored figure as it stood in the center of a small crater of dirt and rocks. All the snow within a meter had already melted and the circle was slowly growing. Snow drifting on the wind evaporated soundlessly under the waves of heat radiating from the exposed cooling coils of the Predator armor. A multitude of tiny ventilation systems thought the suit whirled less and less at nature helped speed the cooling process. “Captain! Are you okay? How are the pilots?” She asked.” Predator stood still as a statue for long moments as Jean ran through the quickest diagnostic scans she could. Numerous servos would need replacing once she got home. She couldn’t be sure the extent of damage to the thrusters without taking them apart. Several primary circuits were burnt out, but the backups were holding. On her screen, the last temperature gauge dipped below the red. With a mechanical whine the cooling coils withdrew again and their hatch closed securely. The suit finally began to move again. Predator approached the plane’s hatch and opened it.

Blackstaff Blackstaff chuckled at Dreamer’s comment. “A kind offer, but I’ll decline.” He gave her a kind smile. “I’ve had a few close calls with kights of the courts, recently. The fae can be rather touchy sometimes.” He joked as the two arrived at his car, an old 4-door from the 90’s. While mostly blue, the front hood was white and one rear door was primer gray. Both hubcaps on one side were missing and the two on the other side didn’t match. He opened the door for Dreamer, offer help if she wanted it. His eyes though, kept scanning for their attacker. Climbing into the driver’s seat he dug out the keys, but then hesitated. His eyes fell on the little clock set into the dashboard. “That, can’t be right.” He half mumbled. Had his magic messed with the clock? Or had… He glanced at Dreamer unsurely, then shook his head. There was no possible way they had really gone back two hours without him noticing that much magical influence… right. He ignored the doubt as he started the car, intent on getting Dreamer to safety.

Seraphim - WIP Power Level: 10, Built 8 (150PP) Unspent Power Points: 35 Trade-Offs: None In Brief: Light-wielding Claremont student with some healing Catchphrase: Theme: Alternate Identity: Sarah Francine Thatcher (Secret) Birthplace: Freedom City, NJ Residence: Claremont Academy Base of Operations: Claremont Academy Occupation: Student Affiliations: Family: Mother, Father, Brother x2, Sister x2 Description: Age: 16 (DoB: May 2nd 2008) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’ 4” Weight: Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dirty Blonde Description: Sarah is not much of an athlete having spent more studying. Her blonde hair falls to the middle of her back and she usually keeps it secured with a hair pin. Her wardrobe consists on mostly blouses and pants, with the occasional skirt. But, she tends to only wear a little bit of jewelry. History: Sarah’s family only recently moved to Freedom City for the start of the new school year. Her mother and father both having accepted new jobs at local schools. Her mother as an elementary teacher and her father as an highschool assistant principle. Sarah and her parents accepted an invitation for Sarah to attend Claremont. Although her parents don’t know about her recently acquired powers or Claremont’s true nature, they only know the school’s precieved reputation as a well known private school. In truth, Sarah had had a strange encounter several months prior. She had been helping with a school ran park cleanup event when a man stumbled through her class. Sarah had met the man’s eyes and a spark seemed to leap from his eyes to hers, unseen by anyone else. The man stumbled off and her fellow students eventually wrote him off. Several minutes later, while picking up some trash the man reappeared, surprising her. Sarah was scared, but the man attempted to calm her. Something about him radianted reassurance and she stopped to listen as he spoke. He asked a simple harmless sounding question: “Do you see the light?” At frist, she didn’t understand, but before she could answer she say it. An aura of light surrounded the man and she could feel it’s warmth. Sarah nodded and the man seemed to sigh in relief. He relief turned to regret though and he apologized. Before Sarah could question him she felt it as the light brightened. The light fell over her and it’s warmth filled her. When the light cleared the man had vanished. Personality & Motivation: Sarah is a bright and cheerful sort, always willing to help those in need. Studious and determined, she hopes to eventually enter the medical field in some manner. Powers & Tactics: Seraphim’s powers are light-based. Blasts of light work as ranged attacks and walls of light as protection. Manifesting an aura of light she can allow herself to fly. She believes though, that her greatest power is her ability to heal wounds. Tactically speaking though, she simple has no real experience. Power Descriptions: Her powers all manifest as white light. Beams of light for her blasts and walls of light constructed of hexagon shaped plates. An obvious white aura surrounds her as she uses her powers, it’s brightness reflecting the amount of energy she is using. Blackstaff Blackstaff skidded to a stop as he came out of the alleyway and onto the street between warehouses. Almost as if on que two others arrived. It was a little confusing at first, he’d admit later, the wizard wasn’t sure who was who. But, it quickly became apparent that the two that just arrived weren’t with the quartet running up the street. And, had they mentioned something about goblins? That’s just what he wanted to deal with today. What could have brought goblins surfaceways? The short, barrel-chested man in a bright red tee brought his fists together with obvious strength. But the young woman’s familiarity with one of the four was telling. She was familiar with at least one of them and he’d have to watch her for any reactions he might need to worry about. Hopefully if it was three on four they could finish this with less trouble. He did find himself wishing he had had Lark come with him. Too late now, he sighed and shook out his shield bracelet. It already had a dim glow as he walked up to stand beside the other two heroes. “Stand down and drop anything that isn’t yours.” Blackstaff leveled the blackened wood staff at the quartet.

Predator Predator had easily ducked the Boran’s swing. They were slow and sloppy. He really should have chosen a lighter weapon. Weight and power meant nothing if you couldn’t land the blow. Her gauntlet fist lashed out under servo enhanced speed, but the aim was her own. As if to prove her mental assessment, the alien stumbled back and collapsed under the power of the blow. She quickly dismissed her would-be attacker and focused on the officer that had the mind to re-engage with her. Power laced through servos and Predator set herself to receive the attacker.

Predator Predator nodded to the nurse. “We are here to attempt to identify the source of the outbreak. And potentially discover a way to halt it.” She regarded Echohead and nodded again. “Agreed.” Predator turned her attention to the nurse again. “Your best bet is to remain here behind secured barriers until a proper evacuation plan can be made.” The armored helmet tilted to one side and she opened a channel to Agent Shine. “Agent Shine, we have uninfected in the hospital. Possible 25 individuals.” The helmet looked back at the nurse. “I will transmit the phone contact for the nurse in charge. She can provide further details. We will continue as planned.” Once she had the nurse’s contact info, she conveyed it on. That done, Predator questioned the nurse. “We believe patient zero may be present within the building. Given the timeline that was reported we would venture to guess the body may still be somewhere in the ER.” -
Blackstaff The wizard glanced around for a moment. Something wasn’t sitting right with him, but he could put a finger on it just yet. He spared the fading cat a look before it vanished completely. Obviously it knew his name, since it had to be one of Dreamer’s constructs…right. He looked at Andrianna and tried to give her a reassuring smile. “No need to thank me, damsels in distress are a weakness of mine.” He chuckled wryly. “Besides, I wouldn’t say we’re completely in the clear just yet. We should keep moving.” Blackstaff didn’t want to know if the thing attacked them would appear in the middle of a busy street. He glanced around again, looking for something he recognized, something to use as a landmark, before starting off in what he hoped was the direction back to his car. Then, he could get her back to his office and its wards.

Gotta, makes perfect sense. Dex check: 17 Toughness check: 17 Ha, that’s a little funny. So that’s a bruise for her, and everyone in the plane. But at least they’re all alive.

Predator All signs of the soldier vanished from her sensors. The sound of the explosion barely audible, most of the sound ripped away by the wind. Predator hung off the nose and glanced ahead. Numbers flashed across her screens, range, elevation and speed flickering with every fraction of a second. The plane’s trajectory being recalculated with each change. “Warning. Impact imminent.” The digital voice was matter-of-fact. “Thank you, Cynthia.” Predator held on to the nose of the aircraft as she positioned herself. “Cynthia divert everything you can to the thrusters.” “Yes, ma’am.” She watches her screens for several long moments. Several warnings flickered across them. The numbers ticked down, finally hitting some range she had decided on and the Predator armor’s thrusters kicked on. Mechanical fingers dug into the fuselage of the nose, metal denting and straining under the force. Gauges climbed and digital needles spiked. New warning called for attention. “Thrusters at 132.58% optimal usage. Servo efficiency at 67.78%. Heat dissipation 63.99% safety standards. Exceeding safety limits. Shutdown in-“ “Disengage safety limits. Authorization: Joshua-0010-Zeta.” Predator grunted as servos strained. “Safety limit disengaged.” “Shut down all redundant and non-emergency systems. Divert all power to the power servos and thrusters. Ready emergency core ventilation as soon as we hit the ground.” Behind her helmet, Jean closed her eyes and readied herself for the impact. It was going to more than the suit’s shock absorption systems could handle, and she was going to feel this one. But, if she could set the plane with minimal harm to the occupants it would be worth it.
