  1. Nightscale 2 a small problem 1 crowd control 1 Animist 1 Pizza Party 1
  2. 23 Initiative for Luke, who has dark vision.
  3. Diego was late, although he would have loved to say that it was by choice, one must be fashionably late after all, the truth was that he felt a little on edge. Not that he was ever gonna admit it of course, but this was his first time getting a pizza with his classmates, or actually having classmates, like ever... In fact, it was his actual first time having friends that were not his twin brothers and even while far from something unwanted, he definitely had yet to grow accustomed to it. In fact, he had actually arrived before everyone else, but instead of going inside, he had just parked his motorcycle in a back alley nearby and waited for everyone else to arrive. He had allowed his senses meld with Pizano's Pizzaria, his mind sinking into the building, so that he could become aware of anyone that arrived and have a 'taste' of delicious pizza while he waited, at least in spirit, while his real self kept shifting the balance on his feet from a back alley nearby. Forza Diego... (Come on Diego) It was only when everyone got there that he gathered the courage to waltz inside, he let the engine of his bike roar a little, like if he had just arrived and walked in with a confident pace, clad in a pair of ruined blue jeans, sneakers, leather jacket and t-shirt. He chuckled as he got the tail end of the conversation between his classmates conversation. "Definitely not gonna explore any of those Gook..." He grinned. "And not for the mutant crocodiles... You know..." One day he had decided he was gonna teach his goblin roommate about double entendres... With time though, right now it was funny enough as it was. "What's up people?" OOC - I thought that having Diego join in would work better than Luke if it's fine for you.
  4. Luke was all smiles when meeting his friends, he playfully chatted with everyone, gave his girlfriend one of his trademarked bear (dragon?) hugs as soon as she joined the group and winced very visibly when Muirne mentioned Chaz's training regime. Admittedly, the young dragon didn't really mind, he did enjoy pushing himself after all, but it certainly did complicate his already crowded schedule. He did consider Eira offer of a job, still, while he had definitely appreciated the Christmas adventure together and still was committed to take his job as 'Christmas dragon' seriously, well as seriously as a role named like that could be taken at least, he was still on the fence about profiting of his heroics, so he just answered with a pretty uncommitted, but still friendly "Thanks..." The young dragon had joined the rest of the team when he noticed what seemed like an aggression, although it seemed like Vik had everything under control. He clenched his fists and did his best to look threatening, although the angry expression only lasted until the young man realized what was going on and was quickly replaced by a smirk, soon after he could not stop himself from bursting into laughter. "Really man?" He did notice the tension in raising in Murines' voice though, which prompted him to close the distance between them, offering her his arm and an 'hey...'
  5. If Nightscale can find a group of villain clumped enough that he can hit with his breath of fire and turn them into gold with this: Goldfire - Transform 10 (Anything into one result [Anything into Gold]. Extra: General Area [Type: General; Shape: Cone; Size: 180 ft with area 1] Feats: Progression 1 [Area], Flaws: Distracting, Range[Touch] Drawbacks: Full Power) - Save DC 20 Reflexes to half DC 20/15 Fort not to be transformed into gold Even if maybe he need to fly on top of the group so that he can aim his cone down, he will do that. If friends and foes are too mixed up to do that he will just attempt to claw Purple Haze again, if he can he will use the move action to startle as well (I am not sure if you can startle a cloud of gas though hehe). The intimidate roll isn't that great though with a: 4+17 = 21 He will also all out attack to get +2 to hit and -2 to defense until his next turn as his chance to hit isn't great. To hit is: 30! Wow. which means that the +2 wasn't needed, but well. Damage DC is DC 27 or 32 if a crit can affect a mist.
  6. While Luke didn't exactly mind some company when navigating the sewers, at least the chatter did manage to distract him from the overwhelming stench, he certainly did not seem to enjoy the way the conversation was going. He was there on a mission after all and that did not entail dealing with sewer politics, his little 'bro was sick, his people were sick. "I don't care where it belongs..." He growled. "That thing is hurting m-... people." "All that matters is that it stops spewing freakin' poison." He remarked, growling again to show his fangs threateningly. In truth, he wasn't even sure if the egg was the source of the problem, but if it was, there was no way he was gonna let it sit there, especially in the end of someone whose intention were certainly unclear. "You both can make a damn omelette out of it if you like after it's gone..." He was about to punctuate the urgency of the matter by exhaling a small jet of flames, but he stopped in his tracks. What the hell was that? His muscles tensed as Luke assumed a fighting stance, clenching his fists and trying to peer into the darkness with his dragon eyes for the source of the movement.
  7. Diego shifted the balance on his feet as the world changed around him. "Cool toy." He smirked. Must have been holograms or something, although it felt like they did pack a punch. Super-science of some kind... Save the hostages. Got it. The young man pretended to look unimpressed, while in truth he was studying the scene, the 'show-off' side of his brain having won the battle against the 'you don't tell me what to do' one. Unlike perhaps some of his classmates, the young man had already been through training for a similar situation (although perhaps not exactly on the heroic side) and while he certainly wasn't going to credit his parents' training for that he at least already was confident about having his priorities in order. "Hostages first, people..." He muttered, although the tone of his voice was perhaps barely enough to be heard only by the students that were in his close proximity. He clenched his fists as he sent fragments of his mind flying into the air, they landed within the weapons held by the band of goons infusing them with life. For a moment, he wondered if the simulated environment was going to be realistic enough for his powers to actually work, but the doubt was quickly dispelled when the rifles began to come alive and try to yank themselves free from the grasp of their owners, triggers refusing to fire. He smirked as all, but one were successful in floating away in the air, as far as he could push them from being in danger. "No playing with guns... Sorry..." He smirked.
  8. Nightscale 4 A small problem 2 Crowd Control 1 Gold is good 1 Animist 2 Boys Move in First Floor 1 Orange team in black mirror 1
  9. Great, thanks and the outcome is a 21 if I got things right I used the rank of the power, but I am not at home and I can't check if there is something else to add in case of move object.
  10. Well, Animist is going to move so that he gets as many bad guys as possible within his snare, turning the local environment (and their non-device gear, dunno, getting shoeslaces tied, shirts on the eyes, stuff like that) hostile to them. Snare 8 (Extras: General Area [Burst 80 ft], Selective, Feats: Indirect 2, Reversible, Progression 1, Flaws: Range [Touch]) Save DC is 18 Reflex to Half and again Reflex 18 or 14 if the first is successful to avoid the snare. .' Edit: I just read that the thugs are armed with guns, can he try to snatch them with this instead: 27 to hit? Move Object 12 (Extra: Area [Targeted Burst 80 ft], Selective, Feats: Accurate 2, Progression 1 Precise 1, Flaw: Range [Touch], Duration [Concentration])
  11. 19 Ouch, but could be worse...
  12. Posted IC, I hope it's fine. Animist is going to try to animate the train and use it to prevent people from getting hurt. This can be represented both by his animate object power, or perhaps with his move object power that he can use at strength 65 by concentrating, both powers have feedback so if whoever has caused this damages the train I imagine they would end up hurting him as well.
  13. While he would not admit it out loud, Diego enjoyed visiting libraries, those places had so many stories to tell and himself, well he loved stories. Now he had pretended to look disinterested, apparently focusing his attention on his phone and keeping his headphones on during the whole visit, but in truth his consciousness was submerged among the walls of the building, and the endless rows of books letting the atmosphere sink in. in fact he was so distracted that he had bumped against one of the columns as the group was walking outside, a fact that he had done his best to try and excuse as 'not paying attention'. They were just going back to Claremont when all hell broke loose. "Ma che c-" (What the-?) Diego gasped as he saw the scene unfolding in front of his eyes, he gritted his teeth and ignored his instinct that kept pushing him to leave the scene as fast as possible. A hero would not do that, in training or otherwise. Instead, he focused on the most immediate source of danger, sending his consciousness to inhabit the train, giving the wounded monorail a life of its own, pushing it to fight its own momentum and protect as many people as he could, be them passengers or passersbys. He winced in pain as sensed the damage inflicted on the vehicle, but he soldiered through as best as he could.
  14. Admittedly Bedlam was a bit far from his usual territory, but then again, the young dragon had decided that it was worth it, apparently there was a new batch of cursed gold on the loose, after the one that he had found in Freedom's city docks, this was suspicious to say the least. Now it could be a coincidence, but given the kinda of world they lived in, it was much more likely the product of some ancient conspiracy or a deranged supervillain. Plus... while he would not admit it out loudly, the dragon side of him found gold strangely fascinating to look at, even if there was no chance in the world that he was gonna get to keep it after this was all over. He chuckled at the sight of the insignia. "Oh ok..." Somehow he doubted that it was just a matter of faulty wiring and not actually the desired effect. Whatever. He could feel that there was gold inside and plenty of it, at least he hadn't left his territory unguarded (well... not that it was exactly abandoned given the concentration of heroes in the area) for nothing. He studied the building for a few moment, before deciding to circle around it to examine the lay of the land, of course he could just waltz in from the main door, but it didn't hurt to search for alternatives first...
  15. omw... Luke texted back when he saw the message in the group chat. Admittedly he wasn't exactly that far to begin with (although somehow he still had managed not the be first to arrive), given his current gig working at the mall as a greeter. He was on a break right now and he had complemented his uniform, that normally consisted only consisted in a pair of red board-shorts, adding a blue athletic t-shirt with the store logo and a pair sneakers. Now acting as eye candy to get customers in at the mall wasn't exactly the way he had envisioned his career, but it did pay the bills and the store manager didn't mind too much his criminal record, his not exactly stellar education curriculum and the occasional absences due to super-hero stuff getting in the way of his day-to-day life. Now his room-mate teasing was another matter of course, but whatever, besides it was not like Luke didn't have any ammunition to tease back Leon for his own career choices anyway. It only took a minute or two of a light jog through the crowded halls of the malls to get to the new attraction, in truth, his inner child was kind curious about how it was gonna turn out, plus, the young man thought that it was neat that Angelic was working on it, superheroes making people life better that didn't involve punching bad guys was a plus in his books. "Hey..." He saluted Ghule with a wide smile. "Looks like I am not the last one this time..." He gave her a self-conscious chuckle, as his inability to be punctual by then was much likely well known to the whole team. "How is it hangin'?" "Eira... Long time no see..." He grinned as he waved at Angelic.
