  1. Tsunami Tsunami was a bit disappointed when she had missed the Hornet with her initial attack, but she did not comment further, nor rise to the bait about his comment about her identity. The Asian young woman did not know what Hornet might, or might not, know about her, but there had been a number of Dr. Sin's lieutenants looking for her when she had initially fled her father, perhaps he had been one of them. Instead she focused back on Hornet a she brought both hands back up in front of her, sending a twisting coil of water flying at the crime boss. But once again the armored opponent proved too agile to be an easy target and dodged away from the blast of water. But Tsunami was patient, as the jet of water shot off through the warehouse, twisting around to start back towards Hornet…
  2. Veronica Danger Veronica had been moving slowly forward with the other students, making sure everyone had been able to get through security before picking up her pace slightly. Thus she was a little ways behind when the alarms started sounding off in the facility. This caused the teenage Danger to jog forward, catching up with the front of the group as they were talking about the Horologium, which Pan apparently recognized as being from his dimension. Vegas seemed a bit out of sorts as the confusion and uncertainty of the situation seemed to mount. While Veronica could understand his immediate reaction, which was to order the group to seek shelter, she also realized he did not fully appreciate the resources he had at his disposal. Luckily she did, and there was something she could do about it. "Actually Mr. Vegas, I am the senior member of the Danger family present at the facility at this time." She stated in an even tone. "We can be far more useful helping than hiding in a safe room." "Astrid, Micha," she continued, looking over to the two teens, "how about you two head over to the security detachment and see if they have any information about what is going on. If they don’t then maybe head up topside to take a look." Veronica than glanced over toward Àjàṣorò, She asked a bit more diplomatically. She then glanced back to the rest of the group. "Pan, Nicole, can you two figure out what is going on with this thing?" She asked, then finally she looked to Corinne. "Your choice Corinne, stay with us or head to a safe room with the other staff." The teenage Danger then looked back to Vegas. “I want everything else into containment and all support staff to safe areas.”

  4. Veronica Veronica gave a small grin as Kam lightly teased her about her admittedly simple plans. As he turned back to Elizabeth to officially revel his identity to her, the teenage Danger stayed quite, focusing on the busy Cairo traffic as she made her way along the highway and to the bridge that would carry them across the Nile. Prudence turned to look out the window beside her so as not to intrude on the conversation either. Of course Veronica and Janus had known the true identity of Kam and his sister from the start, having known them for years after visits to Dakana to visit cousins living there. At Kam's request the Danger cousins had not revealed this familiarity. Soon the Land Rover was crossing over the bridge, the waters of the famous Nile flowing beneath them, dotted with a number of small craft making their way along those waters, including at least one tour boat taking passengers down the Nile to view the ancient wonders that stretched along the banks of the great river. The pyramids of Giza now towered over the highway, despite still being some distance further west, rising up above the sands that stretched out beyond them.
  5. Well, seeing as there is lots of water nearby, she will pull some to her and activate her flight and fly up above the gas. Then she will shoot her regular water blast at Hornet, but misses with a 17.
  6. GM Just as Starshot called to ask Soreen's status, he heard the familiar hum of the Xeno's power core going back online. Just as it did, more of the internal lighting flickered on, brightly illuminating the interior of the cargo bay where Starshot and Laark currently were. "Got power back on and am starting to run diagnostics on the sensors." Came Soreen's response. "We should be good to go in a few minutes." She added. "But even without the sensors, just based on the scans you performed as we crashed, driving the ATV will be much further than flying directly toward the pirates. There are all sorts of terrain hazards it will have to deal with or go around, not the least of which is the large lake in the center of the forest between here and the mountains."
  7. Veronica "Take care Nicole." Veronica responded as the older girl excused herself from the group at Zenith's arrival and subsequent transformation back to Corinne. Fairly early on in the year the teenage Danger had noted Nicole’s general dislike for Zenith. When Judy and Ashely reappeared, Veronica stayed quite, though she was not completely sure what to expect from the sisters. Given her somewhat recent talk with Judy over lunch about some of the meanings of the Labrys, Veronica was slightly optimistic, a view that proved justified as Judy apologized for her initial reaction to Tyler, an apology that was quickly excepted. When Tyler looked back at her, the teenager Danger gave a small smile in return. "Well, we can try to speed up the tour so you are free to get up to the common rooms to join the gaming."

  9. Right know, you, Flux, Galvanic and Queenie are on the Lor research station. Paradigm, Moon-Moth, Hazmat and Barrier are still on the Devotion.
  10. Veronica "A valid concern." Prudence replied as Liz mentioned the possibility of SHADOW sending in some undercover agents to infiltrate the dig. "Since the incident at the museum, we have increased the security at the dig site here in Egypt. All of those working on the digs in the area have been vetted, by Danger International and the Egyptian museums co-sponsoring the digs." She added at Kam's questions. "The extra security has mainly been to keep an eye on things and make sure no one has been messing around with the staff as Liz suggested. Still, would not hurt to keep an eye out, just in case." Veronica added as she pulled onto a freeway that would take them to a bridge across the Nile and over closer to the Giza pyramids on their way south. "But if the Thule Society and SHADOW do show up, I would prefer they just get everyone else clear so we can deal with them." "As for my plan, right now it is pretty simple." She replied to Kam's other question with a small grim. “Get back down in the burial chambers and start taking a closer look at the area to see if we spot something I was unable to see before. Like you suggested before, I have a suspicion that if we find what the mask is intended to open, the Thule Society will show up soon enough."

Synapse The dark haired woman smiled slightly at Lulu’s mental message. <Very considerate of you love, but the only threat I pose to our hosts is attracting some embarrassing attention from the tabloids.> She replied mentally. As Lulu introduced herself, the older woman shook her offered hand. "A pleasure to meet you Lulu, I am Dee Farrington." Dee replied with the same English accent as her mental communication. "So you are here with the Harrows? I admit I have only met Megan a few times, but Robert and I have known each other all our lives. Distant cousins on his mother’s side or something like that."
  12. Tsunami Tsunami was still crouched down in the shadows of a stack of crates when Mr. Murk's mental message came to her. Although unexpected, she was disciplined enough not to start or otherwise give away her position, simply listening to the message the unusual founder of the Codex Immortus sent to her and Comrade Frost. The news was troubling, to be sure, but there was little she could do with it at the moment, half the world away from Freedom City. Perhaps Sin was up to something, but for the moment, she had more pressing concerns. The Hornet’s patience with Frost had run out, and he shouted out a demand as he had his men raise their weapons. Figuring the time for stealth had passed, the Asian young woman stood up in the shadows, taking half a step forward as a sheen of water rippled over her costume, providing her increased protection. Bringing both hands up in a smooth motion, she swept them to her sides, quick bursts of water erupting from them as she did. The watery jets flashed through the warehouse, twisting around obstacles as they quickly covered the distance between her and her targets. In a moment, all of the Hornet's men aiming weapons at Frost had been struck, knocked off their feet and to the ground unconscious. Only the green armored villain himself had managed to avoid the burst of water that had been aimed at him. Tsunami then took a few more steps forward, as she spoke aloud, <"it was unwise to presume Comrade Frost came here alone.:> She stated in Mandarin.

  14. Veronica gets a 19 on her roll to resist the disarm attempt. And a 25 for her Notice check.
  15. Paradigm Amara was about to direct Moon-Moth and Hyperslice to follow after the Spectrum Knights when she heard Hyperslice's comment to Traveller. The Naram glanced back towards the Kavaka, her enhanced vision allowing her a better view of what Sitara was interacting with. Before she could comment on the sight of a U.F.O., Sitara patched unit 777 through to her over the comms. Holding up one hand, toward Moon-Moth and Hyperslice, the Naram stated, "hold off pursuit for a moment, I think we might have a way to covertly follow them to see if we can locate the local headquarters." Activating her comms, the Naram then replied in Delaztri, <"greetings U.F.O. 777, I am Amara Val-Ren, also known as Paradigm. I must admit it has been some time since I have seen a U.F.O., but I am very pleased to see you. We could very well use your assistance. We need a covert reconnaissance of the destination of the armored foes that just fled from the engagement with us. We are hoping to locate their base of operations in order to capture as many of them as possible and halt their operations on this world.">

GM Hyperslice's first attack started to send the yellow armored Spectrum Knight flying backward, but she had barely started to move when the serpentine Praetorian was behind the Spectrum Knight, delivering another powerful blow that changed the direction of Spectrum Knight's momentum. Several more blows shifted the direction of momentum several more times, before the final tail slap sent the Spectrum Knight crashing down to the ground below where the armored figure created a small impact crater. With the red armored Spectrum Knight bound by Moon Moth's snare, that left only two remaining Spectrum Knights to face the three Praetorians, who thus far had not even been bothered by anything the Spectrum Knights had thrown at them. Realizing their predicament, the two remaining Spectrum Knights projected tendrils of colored energy to snatch up their bound or fallen comrades. The pair then started to fly away at high speed, the tendrils of energy trailing behind them.
  17. Okay, Tsunami will use her Cone of Water to catch Hornet and as many of his men in the blast as possible. It is selective, so she can avoid hitting Frost and everything else that she does not want to hit. Only got a 16 on the attack roll, so unless she gets the benefit of catching them flat footed, she might miss some.

Veronica Veronica had not been able to give a shout of warning before the sandstorm and heat was upon them, and the large Golem like figured appeared and attacked Ouroboros, who already seemed weakened some by the bright sunlight and heat in this part of the suit. Almost immediately after, the teenage Danger saw the magical energies of some other threat coming through the sandstorm. Even as the clawed hands tried to grab ahold of her, Veronica moved away, using her spell to walk up higher into the air and at least temporarily away from the hands. Pulling out some more of her small curious, she began working on a new spell that might hopefully help her and the others with the intense heat. "Whatever these are, if you two can keep them busy I can try to get the helmet to the Self." She called out as she finished her spell.

  20. Veronica Veronica gave a small smile as Vegas introduced himself more formally, making particular mention of being pleased to meet her. "Thank you Mr. Vegas, glad to finally have a chance to make it out here." She replied with a nod. Even though Veronica had some idea of what to expect as the elevator descended, and had seen a number of incredible sights around the world (and even a few out in space), she still grinned with excitement and wonder at the scene that greeted her and her fellow students as the elevator came into the atrium. As her fellow students took in some of the wondrous sights before them, the teenage Danger again smiled, glad to see the excitement and interest of her fellow students. As Astrid nudged her slight, Veronica turned back to look at the other girl with a grin. "Well, there have been quite of few of us scouring the world and beyond for over a century. You should hear some of my Uncle Ace’s stories." As the group reached the two security personnel, Veronica gave a small smile as she stepped up to one of the officers. "I have my own pass, thanks." She stated as she pulled out her Danger International ID badge and hung it around her neck. "Veronica Danger." The security guard paused a brief moment, looking at the teenager before giving a small nod. "Thank you Ms. Danger."
  21. Well, first off it was not a Platform Flight. It was Super Movement: Air Walking 2 (Extra: Area; Feat: Selective) for 7 PP of her array. So, Ouroboros cannot be “knocked off” the platform. Also, not sure how anything got to attack her when she was not surprised and beat the initiative of everything else (and gain, there is no platform to be pulled off, she is just walking on air). She will add a new spell to her array, Immunity: Heat (Extra: Area; Feat: Selective) for another 3 PP to help everyone out. And, as I assume these things are magic in nature, Veronica’s Super Sense punches right through their concealment (partial or not) thanks to Counters Concealment.
  22. Hey Dok! Sorry I did not respond earlier, I was travelling to Eastern Washington for a deposition and then was at the depo. Look forward to your Claremont character (I have a Danger there currently). As for Dok A, I can certainly help with the Space stuff, as we have done quite a bit to develop the space setting. Currently there is a wormhole out near Pluto that connects to a wormhole network throughout our sector. The Freedom League maintains an observation satellite out near that wormhole. Another thing to consider is Coalition Victory Station (CoVic Station) which is next to another wormhole in the network. It is somewhat like a Babylon 5 location, where a variety of space faring governments have a presence and participate in a coalition that grew out of an alliance to fight back an invasion a few years ago (which is also when the wormhole network was created). There is an alien superteam located on CoVic station, the Praetorians and the Freedom League has been sending a member to spend time on the station on a rotating basis. As for before Dok leaves Earth, Velocity is still around and active with the Freedom League, though she was not involved in the Archeville storyline, so has no personal stake in that, but certainly would have heard about it from various people.

Veronica Prudence climbed into another of the Land Rover's back seat across from Liz, a slightly worried look on her face as she watched Veronica make a few adjustments behind the wheel of the vehicle before starting it up. The teenage Danger nodded in agreement with Kam as he mentioned that they could be certain that they were not the only ones interested in what the mask would unlock. "Yeah, I do not doubt the Thule Society has given up on this. The section of the necropolis we will be at is still closed off from the public, so there should be no tourists about, which will help with spotting anyone that does not belong around the dig." Veronica stated as she pulled away from the tarmac, headed for the main road that would lead them towards down town Cairo. "As for what to watch for in the pyramid, well, I think Kam is right that we are operating well outside the normal realm of things. If we uncover some new section to the tomb that we were unable to locate before, we will have to be ready for anything." As Veronica guided the vehicle through the busy traffic around the airport, the road curved slightly to the southwest as it dropped down ahead. Out in front of the Land Rover was a view of down town Cairo, the Nile River, and beyond, the Pyramids of Giza.

  25. Veronica Veronica had already been moving toward the entrance to the building when Micah had created an area free from the sand. "Yes, great work Micah." The teenage Danger replied in agreement to Nicole’s comments. When Nicole pulled up beside her to ask her question, Veronica gave a slight nod and a shrug. "Well, I know about some of the things studied here. Members of my family tends to travel far and wide, on this world and others, often encountering all manner of unusual artifacts, devices and technology. I have not been more fully involved with things at Danger International long enough to be fully up to date on what they have here, but have learned about some. There are even a few things that have been here close to a century."
