ooc Through the Mirrored Glass and Back Again (OOC)

Okay, Veronica gets a 27 on her concentration check. A 24 on her survival roll. A 23 on her stealth check. And finally a 17 for her Will save. -
GM "What is this bioship of which you speak?" Vannox asked, turning back slight to look at the towering Andromedan as they ran down one of the passages away from the breach to the arena. The sound of alarms could now be heard echoing in the stone hallways, a likely sign that someone would be seeking to recapture them. "We would be willing to provide you transport off this cursed world if you wish." The Boran then offered. Up toward the front, the other Boran with the energy weapon stopped at an intersection and looked back with what appeared to be a skeptical expression on his face. He then spoke in a language that Giirok did not understand. However, Vannox did not reply in the same language, instead speaking in Galstandard. "The Andromedan was a prisoner, just as I was, I would not leave him on this world to be possibly recaptured and forced to be entertainment for the cursed Khanate dogs again. He is a mighty warrior, I would expect Prince Dovox might be interested in trying to recruit him to his cause."

Veronica "Well, I am sure you will get a chance to see Egypt and many other places you want to go someday." Veronica replied with a reassuring smile. "I do not know when I might make another trip there, but if I do while at Claremont, maybe we could try to see if you could come along as well?" The teenage Danger then went quite for a moment, glancing casually around them to make sure there was no one too close or that seemed to be paying any particular attention to what they were discussing. Satisfied that there was none listening in on them, Veronica focused back on Abby. "But what I really was wanting to talk to you about was the Modrossus you wear on your necklace."

GM Soreen gave a small shrug. "Your call I guess. It would be easy enough to fly back over to the caves we found him in. Should not take much more than an hour or so round trip." "It would be helpful to not have to keep watch over him." Laark chimed in. "Although, he is not nearly as difficult to deal with now as he is no longer trying to escape any chance he gets. The larger concern now is primarily he might wander off and get lost, or worse, wonder away and run into some of the pirates when we are closer to them and needing to be stealthy."

Veronica Danger Veronica breathed a slight sight of relief when they finally managed to get clear of the various drone defenses. After getting buffeted about for a bit, she was glad they had some space. The teen had been in bustling crowds such as that before but it was still far from an enjoyable experience. But most importantly, it was delaying them from getting to their destination. Taking advantage of the space they had for the moment, Veronica took out some of her small curios and undid the prior offensive spell and began working on a new one. "Well, if there is no clear way around them, we will just have to go over." She said to her two friends as she finished the spell, a faint glow of green magic forming around her as she slipped a small silver bracelet with a new collection of charms attached. Reaching out, she touched both Masque and the Arcana on the shoulder, the faint green glow surrounding them briefly as well. The teenage Danger then started forward, but instead of walking across the ground, her steps took her up into the air. After reaching a height higher than the drones, Veronica leveled out and just continued to walk at that height. -
Tsunami "No, from what I have been told there are no living Atlanteans in the Lost World, only ancient ruins evidencing they once had a presence here." Tsunami replied, moving away from the wall. "The Lost World is something of an collection of anachronisms. Dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals are plentiful and freely roam the wilderness. There are a number of humans, from primitive tribesmen to a Roman city as well as an Incan city." "I have friends here that can help us return to our world. The main challenge will be to find our way to them. Depending on where we are, we could be a few days from where they might be, or only a few hours."

Paradigm Amara listened to the discussion on the bridge about how best to approach their investigation of the singularity. The news that there was some additional energy signatures on the abandoned Lor station was not encouraging, but given the readings that had triggered the station’s alarms, was also not completely surprising. "See if we can access the station's databanks." The young Naram told Sitara. She then took one of the offered muffins from the silvery basket generated by Queenie's ring. "Thank you Queenie." She stated as she looked over at the Terran. "And while I am confident in our ability to investigate this singularity, there is good reason for caution. As I understand, Professor Quill spent three years trapped inside that singularity during a prior investigation by Lor scientists."

Tsunami Tsunami listened as the Scarab described the security measures of the building. Unfortunately it was not out over the water, which might have provided her an easier means of entry. When the other heroine asked if anyone had a plan, the Asian young woman gave a small shrug. "I am afraid that while I can be stealthy, I am not particularly skilled at disarming security systems. At the very least I should be able to get into the compound and up onto the roof while avoiding detection. Once there I could perhaps see what might be observed through a skylight, and depending on what is there, decide if a more direct course of action is needed."

GM Almost as soon as the Shadow clone facing Red Lynx dodged the teen's attack it made a counter attack, trying to catch the Dakanan royal before he could recover from the missed attack. Lunging forward, the clone swung its glowing fist at the prince, but Red Lynx easily dodged aside, flipping over to one side, trying to circle around the clone. The other Shadow clone dropped the field of darkness, seeming to realize its opponents were no longer hindered by it. Just as everything went back to normal, it leapt toward Masque, similarly trying to strike her with a fist shrouded in dark energy. But the teenager was far too nimble a target, easily dodging the attack. Further up the hallway, the other Masque continued to hear screaming and confusion further into the north wing of the museum. A few well-dressed guests came running around one of the corners, clearly fleeing from something…

Okay, the Shadows near Red Lynx and one of the Masques will each focus on one of the teens. The first attacks Red Lynx, and misses with a 13. The other goes after Masque, and misses with a 17. That brings back up the two Masques! @Fox

Veronica passes the Reflex save with a 19. She gets a 24 for her Toughness save, so is fine. -
Tsunami "I have experienced this form of transportation before, although the prior times were under very different circumstances." Tsunami replied as she walked up toward one of the walls, studying the carvings on it a moment. "These writings are Atlantean." She stated, tracing her fingers over some of the carvings before looking back toward Dust Devil. "I believe we have been transported to an alternate dimension generally known as the 'Lost World.' My previous visits were made by traveling to specific locations in our world where the barriers between this world and ours are weak, allowing travel between the two. This is the first time I have been pulled here like this." She looked back around the empty room. "If someone, or something, is behind this, I do not know why."

Okay, with Thul Sorcerer #3 down that means: ROUND FOUR 27 Veronica (unharmed, 3 HP) 7 Thule Sorc #1 (unharmed) 16 Red Lynx (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Shadow-in-Shadows (4, all unharmed) 4 Masque (unharmed, 4 HP) 4 Masque Duplicate (unharmed) Veronica will move out of the darkness to touch Masque’s arm and allow her to see through the darkness as well. She will then sprint down the hallway back toward the exhibit. With Thul Sorcerer #1 out of sight, that brings back up Red Lynx. @angrydurf

Veronica "I can help with that." Came Veronica's voice from the darkness. The teenage Danger then appeared out of the darkness, moving without any sign that the darkness had hampered her. Reaching out, she touched Masque's arm and suddenly the other teen could see through the darkness as well, spotting Red Lynx and two of the SHADOW clones inside. One was in melee with Red Lynx, the other was off to one side. "I will make my way back toward the exhibit to help your other self." Veronica stated, before she began sprinting down the hallway back toward the exhibit. Years of the regular physical activity that had come with her travels had made the teen quite a sprinter and she easily crossed the hallway back to where Masque had been fighting some of the SHADOW operatives earlier and then out of sight as she turned a corner.

Tsunami Even as she felt the disorientation of reality warping around her, Tsunami had shifted into a defensive martial arts stance, summoning a thin sheet of water that flowed around her body as well. Once her senses returned to normal and she was satisfied there were no immediate threats, the Asian young woman shifted out of her defensive stance, but still kept the watery forcefield around herself. "Are you aright?" She asked Dust Devil, scanning the room for any other clues about where they might be, and why.

GM The warping of space around the pair of heroes lasted only a few moments, briefly disorienting the pair before that faded as well. When their senses returned to normal it was immediately apparent they were no longer in the San Diego outdoor mall. Instead of the damaged jewelry store, they were in a dark chamber with stone walls, floor and ceiling. But the clearest sign that they were no longer in San Diego was the fact that it was sunlight shining in through the opening in one of the walls. One of the walls of the room had another opening, a doorway that lead into a hallway that was shrouded in darkness only a short distance in. The light that shown in from the reveled some carvings on parts of the walls. The air in the chamber was warm and muggy.

Paradigm Amara listened to Professor Quill's response to her initial question as well as the points or question raised by her fellow Praetorians and the Terran's response to those. There was far more uncertainty regarding the singularity than the Naram liked. "Hazmat, hold our position for now." She stated, wanting to stop a safe enough distance away to see if there was any more they might lean from observing before trying to investigate closer and face the risks that would be inherent with that. She looked back at the Terran scientist before asking, "Professor, you were able to survive inside the singularity. Where you unable to learn anything more concreate about it during that time?" As Moon-Moth studied the sensor readings coming across the display in front of him, he noticed something unusual. The abandoned Lor station was running on only partial power, just enough to power sensors and communication, but no life support or other major systems. However, the Devotion was picking up a massive quantum signal from with the station that did not appear to be any sort of Lor technology.

@Fox Masque is up. You might want to be sure to read the last bit in the IC on what she is hearing from the exhibit.

GM The Thule sorcerer was unable to void Red Lynx's attack and the curved club connected solidly with his head. The force of the blow caused him to jerk his head forward and he immediately went limp and crumpled to the floor unconscious. However, the Dakanan prince did not have time to revel in his victory, as one of the Shadow clones moved back to engage him. Although Red Lynx saw the attack coming and spun to defend himself, the clone’s attack managed to connect with Red Lynx’s chest and he felt a discharge of chilling energy from the blow. Nearby, the other Shadow clone moved toward Veronica, launching a kick at the teenage Danger. But Veronica was able to step away from the attack just in time and the clone’s foot was unable to connect as it stepped back half a step to reorient itself after the failed attack. Down the hallway, Liz could hear some sounds of scuffling coming from the darkness that had descended over her friends. But then she heard several screams and cries of panic coming from the direction of the Egyptian exhibit….

The sorcerer only gets a 10, so he his out. Okay, one of the shadow-in-shadow will attack Red Lynx, this time hitting with a 25, that is a DC 22 toughness save for Red Lynx. @angrydurf The other attack Veronica, but only has his normal strength as he is the one keeping the darkness up, and misses anyway.

Synapse Synapse gave a small grin as Replica talked about stealing a car. "Oh, I certainly know how to hotwire a car. But stealing one is a pretty bad idea. The last thing we want is any bulletin out on the car when we go try to cross the boarder." "No, I believe I can likely convince someone to give us a car." The Englishwoman looked about the part of town they were in. "Now it is just a matter of finding one we want and then finding the owner."

Tsunami Tsunami shook her head slightly at Dust Devil’s last question. "Yes, I am local, but I am afraid I do not know where they could have gotten ahold of such a weapon. Superpowered criminals are somewhat rare here, and it is equally unusual for common criminals to get ahold of super-tech. There are a few tech companies in the area that might be capable of producing such weapons, but I have not heard that any are actively pursuing such technology." She looked back down at the weapon for a moment before adding, "they apparently only had the one super-tech weapon, which suggest they either happened upon the one in some manner, or that it was the only one they were provide the opportunity to obtain. Though that could be because it was all that was offered to the, or it was all they could afford." As Tsunami spoke with Dust Devil, she began to feel a sensation that she had felt a few time before, a slightly feeling of disorientation as the area around her began to blur. "Get clear!" She tried to shout to Dust Devil, pointing away from her, but it was already too late, as the store and everything around the pair began to warp and shift…

Also, probably should mention, there is Thule Sorc #3, who has recovered from being stun and is starting to get to his feet.
