Megan Starting to eat once their food arrived, Megan listed as Lulu revealed some of what she had learned on the subject of sex through her uses of her powers growing up. Certainly not how Megan would have wanted the teen to have learned such things, but with some of the things teens (and younger) could find on the internet these days, it was not exactly unique. When the teen posed the question to the older woman, Megan gave a small smile. "Well, perhaps in a roundabout way. Nothing about my abilities gave my insight into what others were thinking or the like. But, let's just say they provided me with more free time to devote to spending time with boys."

Veronica Veronica gave a small smile and a nod at Kam's statements about Anubis' role. "Actually, both are true. As far back as the First Dynasty Anubis was depicted as the guardian of tombs and cemeteries. But he was also the guide of the dead and the 'guardian of the scales,' which means he had a role in the 'weighing of the heart' to determine if a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead." She looked back at the statue inside the case. "So, this was likely included to both serve as a guardian for the pharaoh's tomb and to play a part in guiding his soul to the realm of the dead to be judged." Once Elizabeth and Kam were ready, Veronica led them further into the exhibit, talking about the next sets of artifacts that were on display.

Ari, I don't think the ballista fired, they got destroyed by the glowing guy.

We have a bit of a continuity issue in the thread. Synapse was not changing or finishing the demolition of the plane until North and the others left (as they needed to hike away to set up their camp away from the "crash" site, so they are not found when the wreckage is found).
-
Synapse The work Replica was doing with the tips of the wings was only the beginning of what Synapse had in mind. Once Replica was done with the wing tips, Synapse set her to removing specific parts of the plane’s fuselage and battering it before scattering it about the area behind the plane where Synapse had destroyed dozens of other trees. Once Dr. North and the pilot had left with the co-pilot, Synapse went into the still complete section of the fuselage to change out of her costume and into some of the civilian clothes she had brought with her. "You can call me Dee." She said to Replica once she had changed. "We just need to finish our disassembly of parts of the plane and trashing the interior." She stated, directing Replica with what she needed her to do as Dee began working on prepping what was left of the fuel and the emergency oxygen tanks to be detonated and cause exploasive damage to the wreckage and start some fires. Once they had finished prepping the plane to appear as if it had actually crashed and gathered what equipment they were going to take with them, Synapse prepared to use her telekinesis to start the fires.

Veronica "Well, I think we should be glad there is less voom for the moment." Veronica replied to Elizabeth after she shook "Arthur's" hand. "I imagine we will get more than enough of that before this trip is done." Stepping back as the image of Arthur continued to talk, Veroncia glanced over to Hurang. "I am not so sure he is part of the problem. He seems more part of what is binding the magic in the suit together." Looking out through the doorway Arthur had formed, she studied the scene for a moment as she continued. "The magic of the suit stretches out all around us, patterned much like circuitry in a computer." She glanced back at her fellow students as the simulation in front of them seemed to point them in the direction they needed to go. "Well, shall we?" -
Synapse As both Dr. North and Replica mentioned that causing an explosion to help fake a crash was beyond their skill sets, Synapse gave a small grin. "Then you just need to spend a bit of time hanging out with a former Kali cultist/anarchist from another dimension then." A more serious expression came over her face as she added, "but in any event, I can certainly make this look like a crash. But it won’t simply be causing an explosion after we leave, as that will make the scene look anything like a normal crash. We need to have debris scattered over a wide area. So, it will be a bit of work." The Englishwoman took a look at Dr. North. "You and the pilot should get going before we get to work. You should keep the co-pilot sedated as well for at least a few days, just to be sure no information gets back to the Sleeper." As Dr. North and the pilot gathered together survival gear and supplies for them to find a place to lay low for a few weeks, Synapse put on a cold weather parka and set aside some clothes to change into after the Doctor and the others were gone. In the meantime, she went outside with Replica and looked over the area around where the plane had set down. "The thing with plane crashes, fire damage usually only occurs once any sections containing fuel and perhaps a few other systems come to rest. The plane is more likely going to suffer impact damage, with large sections becoming shredded due to the mass and velocity at play. The fuel fires will mainly be located in isolated parts of the wreckage." "Unfortunately for us, we likely do not have enough fuel to accurate simulate such a fire, nor do we have access to sufficient amounts of anything else to create a fire hot enough to simulate burning air craft fuel. But in fact, we should not try to simulate a large fire, as any authorities that investigate are sure to discovery all the fuel that was dumped by the co-pilot. So we only need some small fires and to start some in what little fuel might remain." "The first thing we need to do is break apart sections of the plain, and spread the debris over a wide area, as well as creating the damage one would expect to the ground and trees the plane would have crashed through. So, if you could start by tearing off the ends of each wing and then taking those back about one hundred and fifty meters and using them to break apart trees out at either end of the plane’s wingspan for about thirty meters. Let any parts of the wing that break off lie where they fall, eventually we will break them apart further and scatter those parts throughout the area. I will use my telekinesis to start breaking trees in the center that would have hit the main fuselage."

Tsunami Giang gave a small nod at Murk's response to her inquiry about why immortals could not walk openly in the world. "Yes, as much as fear is a natural survival mechanism, in humanity, it has a part in much of the evil that has been done throughout history." The young Asian woman then turned her attention to the large tome that had been brought out and placed before her. Running one hand over the red leather cover softly, she gently opened the cover and looked at the first page inside. She only took a few moments with the code which had just been discussed with her, deciding to move back toward the last page of signatures, finding a cloth book mark attached to the binding marking that page. Taking the ink quill, she then signed her name on the next available line.

GM That you shall always have Star the Shot, for we are One. Athru replied to Starshot's mention of friendship. The Ul-Mor then disengaged his tentacle from the space hunter's temple and turned back toward the other gathered Ul-Mor and began speaking to them in their unusual language. As the Ul-Mor conversed, Soreen had exited the flyer along with Emorda. At Starshot's question about xenosociology, she shook her head. "I only know how to fix things, not the intricacies of alien species and their customs." Laark shook his head as well. "I am afraid I will be of little help there as well. I might be able to make some observations about these Edestrekai, but they might not be very different than those you can make as well." "Kurabanda will help Starshot as well." Emorda stated as he moved over as well. "We should let my father know of our victory and the danger posed by other Sky Devils. Our tribe has heard the stories of other tribes that have suffered much more from the Sky Devils." Soreen was looking over at the Ul-Mor as she commented. "A pity they can only use their telepathy by touching the subject, but still might be the only thing we will have to convince any of these Edestrekai they have been duped."

Well, if it makes things somewhat easier, Tsunami could, as she is Claremont alumna. (assuming someone figures out Forever Boy is at Claremont).

Well, it would depend on how confident he was that Dr. Sin was out of the picture (at least for awhile). If he was unsure Dr. Sin was truly removed from the scene, he would likely stay loyalist. If he believed Sin was gone for awhile, he would be more likely to make a power grab, either to just expand his role within Sin's organization, or to free himself and his organization from Dr. Sin altogether (which was what he was working toward with developing his superpowered children).

GM Sri Darvo gave the two squires a few moments to get their bearings once they had reached orbit, to readjust to the lack of gravity as well as take any last glances toward the world which had been their home for some time. The experienced Star Knight knew that in time travelling into orbit and departing Citadel or any other world would soon become second nature for the pair. But he also recognized that many of the current Star Knights, himself included, could do well to remember to appreciate the wonders that tended to become too commonplace. "Alright squires, here is the telemetry for our first destination." He finally stated over the comm. systems, transmitting the navigational data to each Squires’ armor. "Stay close and do not stray off track." With that, he oriented himself in the direction the armor’s guidance system indicated and initiated his faster-than-light thrusters, causing the stars around him to blur into lines of light as he quickly exited Citadel's star system.

Squire Kath'lana Kath'lana had remained quite during the exchange between Sri Darvo and B'ka, though she listened intently to the Star Knight’s responses. When Sri Darvo took to the sky, the young F'terrix followed quickly after, leaving a trail of green energy in her wake as she easily kept pace with the Star Knight. It took only a few minute before the trio had exited Citadel's atmosphere, entering the weightlessness of the vast expanse of space. Kath'lana took a moment to glance down at the shining surface of the Citadel, her home for the last several years. Her training up to this point had included only a few trips into space, as part of learning the armor’s systems and the basics of space navigation. Looking back out toward the dark void, the F'terrix once again marveled at the vast emptiness that stretched between worlds and planetary systems. This great void was to become her secondary home, as she completed her training and eventually became a Star Knight.

GM Elite listened at Traveller quickly ran down the situation they and the Kembelians were facing. If she seemed surprised or alarmed by anything said, it did not show on her face. When Traveller finished, Elite gave a small nod. "Well, that fits with what has been going on here. Less than half an hour ago a Khanate cruiser arrived through the wormhole, wanting to speak with the Coalition Counsel on behalf of the Khan. The emissary from the Khan is currently in the assembly hall with the counsel, and has declared the Khan’s intention to reclaim all the former Khanate worlds that have broken away since the Incursion." "Meanwhile, some Khanate affiliated bounty hunters began a firefight in the Spinal Core with the Voidrunners, while hacking into the system station security uses to control the security drones, shutting them all down. The bounty hunters are currently lose, while something is happening out at the Tower of the Sacred Assembly on the Main Plaza, apparently an attack by Khanate forces, if the High Prophet of the Assembly is to be believed." "But I will notify the Lor Navy and other local Coalition forces to get as much aid dispatched your way as possible. But if the Khanate is already making good with its threat to reclaim lost worlds by attacking Kembel, it is a good bet that other free worlds are under attack right now as well."

Well, I would likely say #3, though Tsunami is very reluctant to go back to Hong Kong. I would also note that Dr. Sin being arrested would not necessarily mean a power vacuum in Hong Kong, as Tsunami's father and half-siblings operate their portion of Dr. Sin's empire there, so they would still be very much in place even in Dr. Sin is arrested.

GM Athru listened as Starshot gave the vague outline of his plan. The Ul-Mor will aid Star the Shot and his companions in dealing with the sky-villains. While others from this world may not be Ul-Mor, they are still part of the One and leave the Ul-Mor in peace, existing in their own areas the Ul-Mor similarly avoid. Ul-Mor not good at scouting outside the sea of sands, so unsure we could be of aid in Star the Shot's investigation of the sky villains. We could begin preparations to move to where the sky-villains are. Athru and those with whom he is One may need to call a gathering of elders to secure passage through portions of the sea of sands controlled by other clans. The Ul-Mor went quite once more and then added. Is there anything else Star the Shot needs of Athru and those with whom he is One at this time?

Megan "Ah," Megan replied with an understanding nod as Lulu began describing some of the other students she was not completely sure about. "Well, for the girl you are unsure of, she may just be putting up a front to mask her own insecurities, so might be worth giving her the benefit of the doubt for now. But, it could be that she just is what she appears to be." "As for the one who's gender you are uncertain about, I can imagine it can be somewhat confusing, but they are a person as well, so just treat them as you would anyone else, and the rest of it should not really matter." The blonde replied as she then gave a small smile as Lulu mentioned one boy in particular. "Well, I chased my share of pretty boys and jocks in my day," she replied. "They were not always worth the trouble. So finding someone that is cute and has more depth to them is certainly worth more than just pure looks."

Veronica Veronica smiled at Elizabeth's enthusiasm for a guided tour and gave a nod at both her and Kam's comments that they were confident that she would be able to provide much more information than the standard tour. "Thanks, I will try to add as much as I can as we go." She replied as they came into the first room. There waiting for them right near the entrance was a glass case in the middle of the entryway, in which sat a wooden pedestal just about four feet long and slightly over a foot wide. While the pedestal and the engravings on the side were surely interesting, it was the stature that rested on top that drew immediate attention. The statute was that of a black jackal, positioned in in a recumbent stance, its belly lying on the pedestal, its front legs stretched out in front of it, while its hind legs were positioned on either side of its body. The interior of the tall ears of the jackel, as well as its eyes and other parts were golden in color. "Well, of course they would have this at the start." Veronica replied with a slight grin. "We found this statute of Anubis right as we entered the antechamber to the King’s burial chamber." She stated, walking up near the glass case and looking inside. "I will say it gave us a bit of a start to suddenly see this in the dark shadowy light created by our chem lights after making our way through several empty chambers and traps. But once we saw it, we knew we had found something special." "The statue, like the pedestal it is on, is actually carved wood, only it has been covered with a black resin. The ears, collar and scarf are gilded gold, as are the eyebrow and cosmetic line, while the eyes themselves are calcite and obsidian." She explained to her friends, as well as a few others that happened to be nearby looking at the case as well.

Synapse gets a 29 on her Int check!

So, what type of roll might you want? Craft: Chemical? Using Disable Device in reverse to create a bomb? Kn: Technology or Physical Science?
-
Synapse "No, contacting the authorities is likely a mistake." Synapse stated, sitting back upright as she forced herself to carry on. "The Sleeper tends to find ways to place his unwitting agents in all levels of government and other critical infrastructure agencies. It is a safe bet that he has such agents in most, if not all, the governments in Europe, but at the very least those closest to Russian. Contacting the Finnish authorities just increases the chance he will learn we survived and are still coming for him." "No, if we are going to play dead and destroy the plane, then Dr. North needs to take the two pilots and find some place to lie low for the moment. The two of us," Synapse motioned to Replica in addition to herself, "need to find our own way to Moscow."

Tsunami Giang listened as Murk commented on her observations regarding the issues surrounding the Codus' second rule. "I suppose there is the question of why immortals cannot walk openly in the world. While it becomes more understandable in centuries past, in the modern world there are a number of individuals possessing of great power that are part of society. It would reason that given the presence of such individuals, the world as a whole would not be greatly surprised to learn there are those who are immortal." She paused a moment and then gave a small smile. "But perhaps that is a discussion for another time. As to the Codus’ third rule, given as it is the requirement I had to agree to before you allowed me to enter the club, I have no hesitation to make the promise on a more indefinite basis."
