  1. GM Athru was quite a few moments after Starshot described why he had returned. Then the Ul-Mor responded though the link. Athru has heard tales of the others from the sea of stars. The others have attacked other Ul-Mor clans, taken Ul-Mor away from the sea of sands. The Ul-Mor was quite for a few more moments before continuing, enslaved by these others the taken Ul-Mor must be. Taken away from the One Who Is Many. None who are One should be taken so. Ul-Mor wish to help Star the Shot in his battles with the others. How can Athru and those with which he is One help?

Synapse By the time Synapse was satisfied that the aircraft was safely settled on firm ground and released her telekinetic hold over it, sweat was dripping down the side of her face. Dropping back into one of the empty seats in the cockpit, the Englishwoman took a deep breath as once again fatigue settled over her. While she had been working on her telekinetic abilities in the recent years, she had rarely pushed them to this extreme. "Well, the more accurate description would be that the co-pilot was one of the Sleeper's dormant agents, unaware of the mental conditioning placed within his subconscious until it was triggered and took over. Likely something happened that triggered the activation, as I have never seen anything to suggest the Sleeper could exert his influence over his dormant agents unless in physical contact with them, but I suppose it might be possible." She commented, adding to what Replica had stated about the situation. "But whatever the case, you are right, we have to assume they know we were on our way to them. We can only hope they do expect us to be dead now."
  3. GM Soreen gave a nod in response to Starshot's instructions as she moved into the pilot's seat and prepared to be ready to take off if needed. Laark slung his commandeered blaster rifle across his back and had his pistol on one hip as he hefted his large club over a shoulder and followed Starshot down the ship’s ramp and back into the heat of the desert. The pair had not made it far across the hot sands when over a dozen Ul-Mor approached them astride their Loopers. The Ul-Mor formed a small semi-circle a short distance away clutching their weapons tightly, but not making any other threatening actions. As Starshot moved forward and indicated his forehead, he spotted another group of Ul-Mor approaching on Loopers. In the lead of these new arrivals he was fairly certain he recognized Athru in the lead. The new group stopped among some of the other Ul-Mor, and Athru climbed down off his Looper, leaving his weapons with another Ul-Mor and moved across the hot sands toward Starshot. Once in front of Starshot, the Ul-Mor reached up with one tentacle to the space hunter’s temple and once again initiated the telepathic link. Despite having gotten somewhat accustomed to it while traveling with the Ul-Mor, that familiarity had started to fade somewhat in the past few days after leaving the Ul-Mor. Athru is pleased to see Star the Shot again, for we are One. The Ul-Mor relayed in greeting through the telepathic link and Starshot was certain he could sense a happiness to the Ul-Mor’s tone. Star the Shot and sky companions have returned in their Skyship Xeno?
  4. Okay, Veronica is going to start across one of the chains, trying to move at full speed (so +5 DC for the balance check). She gets a 30 on her acrobatics check, so is just fine and makes it a little over halfway across the chain toward the island to the right.
  5. Veronica Veronica could understand Micah's frustration with some of the expectations people were having regarding what he could, or could not do. But then part of the issues went away as the faculty member supervising them clarified what they needed to do to secure the flags before they could transport them to the cave, and provided a soft reminder that they were on the clock, so to speak. So the teenage Danger decided it was likely time to start acting, rather than just talking, at least for some of them. With that she started toward the chain that led over toward the island floating a little over a hundred feet to their right. "Okay, we need to start moving, I will take this flag!" She called out, sprinting over to the chain and then started running up the top of it. The heavy object did not move at all despite the sudden addition of her weight and the teenager found her balance easily enough and continued up the chain at the same speed which she had on the flat ground…
  6. GM[ The voice of the faculty member up in the control booth came over the intercom once more. "While trying to use Micah's wind is not a bad plan, I am afraid I might not have been as clear as I should have. To secure the flags, you need to have four different members of your group capture them at more or less the same time. Over the years there have been all sorts of powered individuals here, telekinetics, speedsters, and more that could all have captured all the flags on their own at once. Not a very good scenario if it is that easy to overcome, so we programed around that solution long ago." The instructor paused a moment, then added, "but in any event, time is starting to tick away, so I would suggest not delaying too much longer."
  7. Get the plane to Moscow? No way. Get it down safely (just below where we are), yes.

Synapse It was easy enough for Synapse to remove the threat the co-pilot represented. While he was easily dealt with, he had already done more than enough harm to the plane and put them in a very dangerous situation. While Replica was trying to do what she could to level the plane out, it was quickly clear that there was little that could be done as the fuel was all gone. Closing her eyes a moment, Synapse took a deep breath as she focused another one of her abilities, pushing her telekinesis further than she normally used it. Opening her eyes once more, Synapse reached out to the everything around her with her telekinesis, as red psychic energy spread over the aircraft. As soon as she had the plane and everyone aboard in her grasp, Synapse started to pull against the plane’s momentum, trying to bring it to a halt…
  9. A pretty bad roll, she only gets a 15 on Kn: Arcana.
  10. GM As the flyer started away from the pirate outpost, Laark activated the detonator for the explosives they had rigged in the power core. For a moment it seemed as if little had happened, then there was a distant sound of a large explosion and the flyer's sensors picked up the core's explosion. It did not take long for Starshot to get the feel of the flyer's controls, and soon the vessel was cruising over the desert sands. Starshot made sure to keep it low to the ground, just in case the pirates had some sort of long range sensors. It was not too long before they were flying along the edge of the forest, staying out over the desert as they went. In the cargo area, the Kurabanda looked out the side view ports at their forest home with amazement and wonder. It was not long after that they had come to the plain of blade grass, the flyer soaring high above. Even at their rather low altitude, Starshot could make out several of the paths formed by the larger creatures with the most unusual "rollers" on their tusks that smashed their way through the blade grass as they fed. "Much nice to see that grass up here rather than back down in it." Soreen commented as they passed over the plains, reaching the edge of the desert once more and the last place they had seen the Ul-Mor clan they had befriended. All said, it had taken just a little over an hour for them to follow the general path that had taken them some four or five days to walk. But now came the more difficult portion of their trip, finding the Ul-Mor. Starshot started off in the direction they had last seen the clan heading, zooming over the dangerous sands that they had spent several days traversing following the crash landing. A short ways out, they began moving in a zig-zag pattern, covering larger areas of desert as they headed in the general direction the Ul-Mor had been traveling. After about another two hours, the sensors picked up a larger collection of life signs, and Starshot headed in that direction. Soon enough they crested a large sand dune and saw an encampment of Ul-Mor set up around an oasis.
  11. So, Synapse is going to use Extra Effort to power stunt the following off her main array: Move Object 16 (Extras: Area; Flaws: Range 0) This will give her enough strength to lift a 747 as a light load (with 50 tons of lifting to spare). I have been planning a edit which was going to rework her array anyway to fold her telekenetics into the array, as I figure she has been working on it over the past few years and has gained in power with it.
  12. Hold on, I would think there would be at least a few combat rounds before we would crash (plans don't drop that fast),a s Synapse can try something to avoid the crash, or at least mitigate it.
  13. Veronica Veronica had listened as Nicole provided a bit more information about the situation, reveling what it was that she needed them to do. Turned out it was not exactly their skill in magic or analytical abilities she needed to help her with her problem, she needed them to go into her suit and provide a fix. Of course, it sounded like it was not just going to be a stroll in the park, even if only half of what the older girl was bragging about turned out to be true. But, regardless of that, the teenager Danger had agreed to help, and she was not about to back out of that now. Besides, how often did one get the chance to go inside a powerful magical suit and study it from the inside? It was certainly interesting how the suit was a combination of both technology and magic. Reaching up, Veronica picked up the helmet on the table. "Okay, lets go." It was only moments later that everything went white and they then found themselves in the strange world inside the suit, greeted by a man who seemed to be quite a home there. As the man changed his appearance with but a thought, Veronica began scanning him and the area around them. When the man introduced himself, she assumed, given the last name, he had some relation to Nicole, but did not comment on that at the moment. Instead, she gave him a faint smile, taking on a faint bit of formality as she played along with him for now. "So very nice to meet you Mr. Whitfield. I am Veronica Danger."

Synapse Synapse gave a very unlady like curse as she saw the scene in the cockpit, angry with herself for not taking the precaution to scan anyone on the plane to ensure they were not compromised by the Sleeper. But it was not far too late to lament on poor decisions, she needed to salvage what she could from the situation. "Stop the dumping of the fuel!" She called out to Replica, pointing toward a control on the panel as she focused her gaze on the co-pilot and a blast of red psychic energy flashed from her mind to attack the co-pilot's. He would eventually wake up with a terrible headache, but she did not have time to be overly gentle in stopping him.
  15. Okay, Synapse will then hit the co-pilot with a rank 10 Mental Blast, which is a DC 25 Will save if you want to roll.
  16. Tsunami Giang listened as Murk went on to discuss the second rule of the Codex. "So, the same underlying principle as the first rule, only directed that the potential actions of third parties that are unlikely to know of or appreciate the principle." She replied as she considered the rule and the implications of following it. "I also do not support the notion of capital punishment, but also have not taken the position that it is my place to impose my will on those jurisdictions that choose to continue to apply it to crimes, save for those instances where a jurisdiction would apply such punishment in a summary fashion without true opportunity for due process." The young Asian woman replied. "A somewhat hypocritical position, but one I feel I can make from a moral stand point." "But to more directly answer your question, it does present something of a moral quandary in terms of not wanting to defy the laws of a country or other jurisdiction that while not ones I would support personally are still justly administered. It does seem to have the effect of placing an immortal above the laws of mortals, if only in one limited exception. But again the underlying principle is a compelling, if complicated one. I believe in this particular case I could abide by this rule."
  17. Veronica Veronica had just been speaking with an older couple who then moved away when Elizabeth and Kam managed to reach her. When her friends offered their complements to her speech, the teenage Danger gave a beeming smile. "Thanks, I was a bit nervous at first, but then just settled into things." As Elizabeth commented on the excitement of finding the King's burial chamber and Kam mentioned the significance of the find, Veronica gave a small nod. "Finding the burial chamber with so many artifacts was exhilarating. I thought my mom was going to hyperventilate and faint. It certainly was a discovery for the family archives." The teenage Danger then gave another smile as Kam asked about her providing he and Elizabeth with a personalized tour of the artifacts. "Well, I really only have to be around so people can ask questions, but they certainly can do that as we go through the exhibit. In total honesty, I have not actually seen any of the artifacts since they were boxed up for shipment to the Cairo and Imhotep museums shortly after we found them. But I have looked at photos of some since, and things should come back to me on the others no problem." With that she gestured towards the now open doors to the exhibit halls for her and her friends to start the tour.
  18. GM The trio quickly set to work gathering everything of potential value from the pirate base while the Kurabanda continued to guard the captured pirates and kept an eye on Phalen, who one of the Kurabanda had kept an eye on during the attack and the brought up to the base once everything was secure. Soon enough they had it all stored aboard the atmospheric flyer, taking up about half the cargo space of the vector-thrust vehicle, which was about the size of a mid-sized bus. Then Laark and Starshot took some of the detonate explosive they had found and rigged it to the main regulation couplings of the base power core. Destroying those would quickly lead to a core overload which should destroy much of the base. Once all that work was done, they loaded all the pirates, Phalen and the Kurabanda into the flyer and Starshot took the pilots seat.
  19. Veronica As Veronica was talking with Lulu she saw Pan wave to her from across the room. Smiling, the teenage Danger returned the wave. It was then that the door to the auditorium slammed open, causing Veronica to tense slightly to see it was Monica, a fellow member of Green Team. Still, I wish people would stop slamming the doors open. At this rate, they will have to replace half the doors in the school before the start of next semester. she thought to herself as she turned back to Lulu. But before her conversation with Lulu could get very far, Adam came striding over to compliment the Southern teen, all but ignoring Veronica's presence. Recognizing what seemed to be going on, Veronica took the opportunity to excuse herself and moved away from the pair, making her way further into the room.
  20. Do you want us to move into combat actions/initiative now?
  21. Veronica Danger "The incident report will have to wait Prudence, the incident is not quite over yet!" Veronica shouted to her personal assistant as she focused on the situation. The DR was not destroyed, which was likely for the best currently, however Facsimile was still suffering from the power he had copied from the gateway. Shutting down the constructions of mystical energy she had made, the teenage Danger began focusing on gathering a few of the small pieces of jewelry she wore on her wrists and around her neck, working to create something she could use to temporarily shutdown Facsimile’s powers and hopefully allow him to snap back to his normal self. It took a few moments, but soon Veronica had her spell together, and she slipped the small silver bracelet with the selected charms around one wrist as she focused back on Facsimile. Taking a deep breath, she gestured toward the other teenager with her hands, as they once again glowed with mystical energy, this time surrounding Facsimile as she attempted to shut off his powers.
  22. Megan Megan gave a small nod of understanding as Lynn mentioned needing to build up a bit of courage before heading out to the dance floor. She took a sip of her own drink as she watched her friend, wanting to make sure that Lynn was not trying to find a way to avoid dancing altogether. The blonde's fear was quickly proven unfounded, as Lynn then downed her drink and announced she was ready to head out to the floor. Megan took a long drink herself, before setting down the half-finished drink. "That’s the spirit!" She replied as they booth stood up. Wrapping one arm around Lynn's, Megan started the pair towards the dance floor, weaving their way through the crowd. Soon enough they had found a way out to the middle of the floor, Megan releasing Lynn's arm as she faced her friend and quickly found the rhythm of the current dance song playing.
  23. GM "Well, at the very least it will be easier to search for the Ul-Mor with the flyer and grav bike than hoping to happen on them again just by stumbling through the desert." Soreen said with a slight smirk. "As for clearing this place out, it should not take too long to get what we can use from the base and aboard the flyer." "It may help to slow down any investigation by other pirates if we use some of the explosives to detonate this facility’s power core once we depart." Laark added. "They may assume it was some sort of accident, or at the very least take a little longer to figure out what may have happened." Neither he nor Soreen had any objection to moving their operations to the forests of the Kurabanda while starting to try to find the Ul-Mor.

Synapse Synapse jolted awake when the plane veered to one side following a loud explosion. "Bloody hell!" She exclaimed as she got up off the floor and managed to get to her feet, however unsteadily. "Well the wing being on fire is not quite as much of a problem as losing one of the engines. As long as it is still working we should be able to land, though we certainly do not want to delay any landing." She stated as she started toward the cockpit. Once there she was going to try to learn from the pilots what the situation was with both engines and ensure they were calling in an emergency landing to the nearest airport (if they were not doing so already).
  25. GM As Veronica finished, there was a round of applause from the gathered crowd, as Wright moved back over toward the podium, clapping as well. "Thank you Ms. Danger for the wonderful recounting of you and your family’s role in making this astounding discovery possible. It is a very special treat to hear of such a discovery first hand from one who was there to experience it." The curator then turned back toward the crowd as he continued. "And now ladies and gentlemen, you will all have the opportunity to see many of the wonderful artifacts uncovered with Sanakht's pyramid." With that he gestured towards the doors behind him and Veronica which had been closed during the presentation. A pair of docents were present to open the doors, reveling the first of several exhibition spaces in which the exhibit was being housed. "Please enjoy this very special exhibit, and Ms. Danger will be remaining for the rest of the evening to answer questions as well."
