Ah, thanks, though the result is still the same.

GM The Sri Haldin, the Star Knight that had addressed the assembly following Sri Koor's speech, began naming off pairs or trios of Squires, assigning them to work with a particular Star Knight, who would step forward and then led his or her new Squires off for their first assignment. The assembly had shrunk by about two dozen squires when Sri Halden made the next announcement. "Squires Kath'lana and B'ka." He looked out over the crowd toward the two named squires. "You are to join Sri Darvo for the next stage of your training." Sri Darvo stepped forward in the courtyard, a Wynn humanoid male in red armor stepped forward and awaited his two assigned Squires to join him.

Squire Kath'lana As Sri Koor spoke to the assembled Squires, Kath'lana had listened closely to the elder Star Knight, feeling a sense of pride at his compliments that include both her and her fellow Squires. At the mention of the next stages of their training being out in the field, the F’terrix felt a sense of excitement come over her. After spending several cycles on Citadel, it would be good to be back out among the stars, seeing other worlds. And, of course there was the thrill of working alongside more senior Star Knights complete her training by carrying out the very types of missions that she would be expected to perform once she was a full member of the Order. Immediately joining in with the recitation of the oath, she then remained in place as she awaited her new assignment.

GM Nearby, the other Battlebrother was still frozen in place, but struggling against the effect with as much effort as he could muster. Just as his companion went down and he felt a bit of the attack, Malcom managed to regain control over his body, taking a reassuring step forward just to be sure he was actually able to move again. He then quickly locked his gaze on the British super-heroine who had paralyzed him and had just all but put Jack out of the fight. Running forward a few steps, he leapt over at Synapse swinging a wild swing at her head. "You witch!" He yelled as he made his attack. But Synapse was not caught off guard this time, and managed to duck down under the wild swing, taking another few steps backward as Malcom landed on the ground near where she had just been.

Malcom manages to shake off the paralyze with a 30. He will leap over to attack Synapse as well, but misses with a 12. Mess is up!

Synapse Synapse took a few steps back after managing to withstand Jack's powerful attack, her side aching slightly from the bit of the concussive force that had managed to get through her forcefield. As Foreshadow arrived to try to distract the Battlebrother, she scowled slightly as she focused on the blond haired super-criminal. "You will have to wait in line love." She commented as Foreshadow made his statements about making things painful for the Battlebrother. "As I am not feeling as inclined to be gentle as I was with his friend. I plan to leave him with a splitting migraine that lasts weeks!" And with that, she unleashed another mental blast at Jack, who was appearing a bit out of sorts at Foreshadow’s words, causing him to be caught off-guard from the powerful mental attack that assaulted his brain. "AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" He cried out, clutching his head as he collapsed down onto the pavement only to lie there moaning in pain.

Okay, Synapse will switch to her Mind Blast and hit Jack with it. That is a DC 25 Will save, he is at -5 thanks to the demoralize. He only gets a 13 so he is Staggered and Dazed.

He only gets a 20 on his toughness save, so is bruised and dazed. I will remove the daze (+1 HP to Jessica). SFX is up!

GM "Yes, we do have spaceships and they can travel much faster than the speed of light." Paradigm replied to Rev with a small smile at the teen’s exuberance. "You can see quite a few from here," she commented, gesturing out toward the transparent wall where Rev did see a number of spacecraft of various shapes and sizes flying around outside, several more distant ones moving around what appeared to be a slowly spinning vortex of cosmic flotsam and light bent at unnatural angles. "That is a wormhole." Paradigm stated. "It connects to others across this sector, including one in your solar system and allows for travel far faster than the speed of light between those points. I imagine you will be traveling through it on your return trip to your world." "While I cannot allow you pilot one of our spacecraft, if you like, when your friend and some of the other Praetorians return to watch over Lawrence we can get you spacesuit and I can accompany you out there for a bit."

GM Out at the mouth of the bay where the comet had landed, the steam continued to rise up into the air as the massive dark form continued to move. Then, the form strode forward from the stream, wading through the now chaotic waters. As it emerged, it was revealed to be enormous robotic form over a hundred feet in length and with six towering legs that allowed it to move through the deep water with ease. Like some gigantic predatory creature, the mechanical form started forward slowly, stalking through the waters toward the heart of the city. From where they stood, the four Praetorians could see the few civilians that had gathered outside to see what was going on turn to flee once more, seeking whatever shelter they could find. Even some of the soldiers that were gathered along the shoreline seemed uncertain in the face of what was advancing toward them. The displayed image of Justica Sarin appeared to be able to hear Traveller's words, as he paused a moment and then spoke once more. "The Praetorians, it is an honor to meet warriors of such renown." He gave a slight bow before speaking once more. "In any event, it would be wise to hurry up with the message, assuming they have not already received it. We would not want any common soldier’s nerves to trigger an unavoidable disaster."

Tsunami After stopping to change trams in the capital, Giang had had an opportunity to change into a white dress with light and dark green flora patterns. For the remainder of the trip with Monsoon, the Asian young woman had done her best to remain sitting calm and collected. When they arrived at the estate of Murjana and her current husband, the Asian young woman had been a bit surprised to find that two of the members of the royal family were already present, in particular the two that were the entire reason for her presence. As she and Monsoon were shown into the hall where the reception for the two young royals was taking place, Giang allowed herself to slip back into some of the formal etiquette with which she had been raised in Vietnam. When they came up to the royal twins, both wearing the costumes of their station and the Emir, Giang gave a deep bow. "Your highness, please forgive the intrusion, Monsoon and I had come here on a personal mater and had meant to interrupt this ceremony." As Prince Kamau offered to provide her a ride back to the capital and the palace once she was done Giang gave another small bow. "I would be greatly honored, so long as to do so does not keep either of you from anything more pressing before our schedule meeting time."

GM "Understood, we will continue monitoring you." Commander E'tten responded. The two Lor fighters stopped their advance, using maneuvering thrusters to maintain their position a short distance from the wormhole, but still further than Quill was advancing. The Lor-Van wormhole seemed to almost pulse with anticipation as Quill approached, the surges of energy from within the anomaly rising and falling, but not noticeable different from the general patterns he had seen in the limited data he had been able to review. The anomaly was putting off a considerable amount of energy, in a variety of wave lengths. As he hooved in place, a large transport ship emerged from within the anomaly, a cascade of energy escaping with it. But everything otherwise appeared to be relatively normal, the vessel moved away from the wormhole, moving to where it would be scanned by Lor custom's vessels before being allowed to proceed to its final destination.

GM Soreen glanced over at Starshot as he made his comments. "Well, I certainly could do without the possibility of being forever stranded here, but I suppose it is a nice enough place to visit, so long as you are not right in the middle of all the danger." "But then how would we have had the opportunity to become a member of the Ul-Mor tribe? And to spend time with the Kurabanda?" Laark asked from where he was cleaning his weapons. "I am very thankful to both of those groups for the help they have provided, and are providing. But really, the Ul-Mor only gave us help on the condition we became part of the tribe, which meant having to face that Quickdeath thing. Which again, I could have done without.} Soreen replied. Laark simply shrugged his shoulders and went back to his task. Once again the night passed uneventfully and soon the sun was rising once more and the group was soon up, having a quick breakfast and then gathering their things and starting off once more to get as much time on the move as they could before the worst heat of the day. They continued on through the desert for hours, as the morning grew ever hotter and the sun continued to rise high into the sky. Once again they made a stop at mid-day, again finding some shaded area, taking a break and double checking supplies. Then, it was on the move once more. They had to avoid a couple of those sand creatures that had attacked Starshot and his crew shortly after they had first set off from their crash site, but that was far preferable to risking injuries once again, particularly as they were drawing close to the pirates' outpost. By mid-afternoon, they were moving through a small ravine when Emorda signaled a halt. Looking out at the nearby end of the ravine, he looked over to Starshot. "Sky Demon's huts are not far now." He stated.
-
GM While the group rested and rehydrated, Emorda paid close attention to Starshot's instructions on the use of his thermal pellets. The Kurabanda was quick to learn and it was soon clear he understood how to work them should the need arise. After about an hour's rest, the group was on the move again, back out onto the hot sand under the sun's intense glare. Onward they trudged, over the sands, avoiding the occasional lurking danger, but otherwise keeping within sight of the coastline of the lake. As the day started to approach its close, they stopped at the first rocky ground they could find, seeking the protection from anything that might lurk beneath the sands. Camp was set up and watch rotations established before everyone settled down for a meal and then a relaxing rest under the cool night air.
-
GM The initial entry into the desert reveled little in the way of hidden dangers, but after the first couple of hours, Starshot spotted one of the lurking massive sandworms lying in wait ahead of them, requiring a detour around it. Emorda was walking a short distance behind Starshot as they went over the burning sands. The Kurabanda looked out over the sands ahead as he considered Starshot’s question. "We should reach Demons' huts in two moon rises." He replied. The group continued their march through the desert, stopping midday in the shade of a rocky outcropping that provided them both a break from the blazing sun and protection from the creatures that lurked beneath the sands.

Hmm, how does he roll the exact same thing? Anyway, you trap him again and have the grenade separated from him when it goes off.

Okay, Syl, some more comments. For Combat, you might be over spending a bit (in terms of buying base attack and defense), particularly as you are still not meeting caps with attack and your toughness is still way to under capped. Need to thing on how you want to meet the caps. Also, you need to adjust you present things. For example, it should read: Combat 12 + 18 = 30 PP Right now, you do not need to spit melee and ranged attack bonuses, as they are the same. Defense should read: Defense: +11 (+9 base +2 Dodge Focus) +4 flat-footed. For saving throws, you need to do the same thing, break out the cost and give a total. For you powers, is there a reason you are keeping the Dazzle outside your array? It is eating up a lot of points and could benefit from being part of the array. Also, you do not need to list the DCs for your powers, just have them in the DC Block. You need to fix your Array listing. It should look like this. Illusion 10 (All Senses; Flaw: Phantasms; Feat: Progression 5 (Area: 250’); 2 Alternate Powers) (37 PP) Sedation is not a feat you can apply to Illusion, as that power does not render someone unconscious, it can be applied to Stun however. As for the Stun alternate power, you have 35 PP in the array, you can make it Ranged and still be rank 10. So those are the general thoughts. For your Dazzle and Stun, you can either apply some Accuracy to one or the other (especially if you have both in the Array) so you can get your attack to +10 with each. But what you really need to do is get your toughness higher than +1. As a PL 10, you can have no lower than +5 toughness (assuming a full trade off to defense), so you need to make some adjustment.

GM "Alright then, let me get things arranged." Commander E'tten replied as he got up from his seat and led Quill back out of the small room they had been using. A short while later, Quill was flying back through the cold darkness of space, following along with two Lor starfighters as they flew past some of the transport ships exiting the wormhole. The large vessels seemed rather slow moving, ones Quill likely estimated would take quite some time to travel great distances by more conventional methods. "Can you read us Dr. Quill?" Asked Commander E'tten, who had remained in the command center of the main defense station where he and members of his crew were monitoring Quill.

Tsunami Giang took a seat on the tram near Monsoon. Despite having been in the United States for over five years now, she still sat with perfect posture. While she noticed the looks she and Monsoon were getting from the locals, she only took the most cursory looks at some of the local fashion before focusing on nothing in particular in front of her. When Monsoon asked her question, Giang looked up at the other woman. "I did bring something to wear for my meeting with the royal family. I expect it would be best to change into it before we to Murjana's estate." She replied.

GM Once the Kurabanda were done preparing the hides and smoking some of the meat, they and Laark took some of the longest branches he and Soreen had collected, connecting several hides to them to make a sort of litter. This allowed them to store the additional hides, the smoked meat and other items they might need (such as leaves and smaller branches for a possible fire) in a more effective means of transporting it all. It was dark before they were done with the preparations for the day, so the group set up camp a short distance from the water's edge. Watches were established, but the night passed uneventfully. The next morning all the supplies were gathered up and the group started off once more. It was only a few hours after sunrise that they reached the edge of the desert, moving out of the shade of the towering Bachanda trees and back out onto the hot sands. Now Starshot once again took a bit more of the lead, having to use his helmet's sensors to watch for any of the creatures that made their homes underneath the sands, waiting for a victim to pass over them.

Well, Kinan Khan is of course Star Khan She has heard a bit about the Justicars, enforcers of Star Khan's will and authority, though she had heard their numbers had been somewhat depleted during the Incursion. She has never heard of this particular Justicar.

Paradigm Paradigm regarded Rev as she mentioned how uneasy the knowledge about Collapse made her feel. "I would say always try to remember to cherish every moment you have with your friends and loved ones and make the most of them all, but old habits are hard to break and you often fail to remember that any moment may be the last you see someone you care about." There was a hint of sadness in her voice as she spoke. "I am sure your fear over the possibilities regarding Collapse will fade some." She then gave a small smile at the teen’s little lie. "That would seem rather uncharacteristic of your friend." She replied. "But in any event, I am sure Seresk and Traveller can keep her out of trouble. After all, do you not have an obligation to remain watchful over your young charge?" She asked, pointing over toward Lawrence, who had drifted off to sleep on a sofa like seat.
