GM Seresk looked back down at Zhu and gave a smile again. "As always, you are welcome, although I am not certain much of what we have dealt with since the Communion War could be something that would have threatened your world. There are many formidable beings there that help to keep it safe." When she talked about waking up again after such a long time, the Praetorian gave a slight shrug. "When we first were awoken, we had little time to mourn or contemplate all we had lost, and were simply able to throw ourselves into battle. Later, we each found our means of coming to terms with our situation. For some, that mean leaving our ranks, though some have since returned. Others of us have remained, seeking solace in our work and the reassuring presence of our fellow Praetorians. We have of course added new members, including Galvanic, who was with us when we came to help you on the plaza." Seresk had led Zhu to a large double door, which slide open as they approached. Beyond was a huge chamber with a high ceiling that clearly had to be the hanger. More than a hundred meters from where they were, Zhu could see there was not opposite wall, the darkness of space visible beyond through some sort of clear forcefield. Although there was clearly room for a number of vessels in the hanger, there only was one present at the moment. Over a hundred feet long, it possessed a general teardrop shape and had a sleek, smooth silver hull. A small ramp led down from the larger end of the teardrop, which appeared to be the rear of the vessel. "This is the Kavaca." Seresk stated, as he started over toward the ramp. "One of the vessels we use to move among the stars, for those of us that cannot on their on anyway." The ramp led up into a large elliptically shaped room with a high ceiling that appeared to be a cargo area. Along the walls on either side of the cargo area were several smaller rooms that appeared to be holding cells. Seresk led Zhu forward up to stairs the led up to a narrow walkway that was slightly raised off the main floor of the cargo area and formed a small arch at the front of the cargo area. There were five circular doors along the curved wall at the front end of the cargo area accessible from the raised area, two on either side of the arch and one in the center. It was through this center door that Seresk led Zhu, taking them through another small room (also elliptical in shape) passing two doors, one to either side of the room and instead taking a door on the opposite end. This brought them into a good sized semi-circular room. This one was filled with a variety of advanced looking equipment, some of which pulsed with energy. Toward the opposite end of the room was what appeared to be some sort of workstation, with a number of holographic displays. On either side of the workstation, along a wall that slightly curved into the semi-circular room, was a door. One of these doors was open, and the sounds of someone working could be heard beyond. "Sitara." Seresk called out as he led Zhu towards the open door and toward the bridge. "Sorry for the interruption, but we have a young Terran guest that wishes to speak with you about protocols for the station’s holonet."

Tsunami Giang listened as Monsoon explained what she knew about the Crocodile Kingdom. In truth the Asian young woman was a bit concerned that a grudge might exist between Murjana's new family and the current rulers of Dakana, hoping that the statement that they were loyal to the "true monarch" of Dakana could be taken at face value. But the other things Monsoon had reveled gave Giang a brief pause. She had not actually considered that she might have other half-siblings as a result of her mother’s new marriage. She should have suspected that would be the case, but had in truth not given it much thought. She was suddenly pulled from these thoughts when she realized they had been stopped at the light rail station, Monsoon apparently starting to get upset with the automated clerks about letting through. "It is not a problem." She stated quickly, hoping to taper Monsoon's irritation some. "I have a visa." She added, quickly removing the passport she had been provided for the trip.

Okay, Jessica is up and she is no longer grappled as the guy that had her is now unconscious.

GM As Crimson Tiger quickly clears away several of the Dark Fist members around her and Jessica, the gang's leader focuses his attention back on the Thai heroine. Rushing forward, he launched powerful punch that came far quicker than Crimson had anticipated, the man's dark glowing fist striking her squarely in the chest. But Crimson's years of Muay Thai training had taught her how to clinch to take a blow, and she did so now instinctively. The force behind Ye Quan’s strike still stung, but Crimson Tiger remained on her feet and focused. She also felt a cold numb feeling wash over her, one that seemed to be trying to sap her strength, but she managed to shake off that feeling as well and it quickly passed. The two gang members fighting Tsunami continued to try to hit her, but she is easily able to bat side their attacks as she shifts around them, trying to keep her eye on what is going on up on the loft and down below. Several other gang members come rushing up the stairs to the loft area and try to take in the situation. Down below, the gang members that were trying to get to their heavier weapons are clearly confused to find them completely inaccessible now.

Ye Quan moves forward to attack Crimson Tiger, hitting with a 30! That is a DC 30 toughness save and a DC 25 Fort save! The two gang members fighting Tsunami try to hit but miss thanks to her defensive fighting.
-
Tsunami While Crimson Tiger quickly put down the two gang members that had been fighting her and the two that had been attacking Jessica, Tsunami was still engaged a short distance away with the two that had moved toward her. However the Asian young woman was not overly concerned about these two, as she gracefully moved around them, blocking attacks and moving out of the way. She was much more concerned about the four gang members that had stepped out into the open on the main floor below, drawing pistols that they aimed up toward the loft area. Stepping away from one of the gang members attacking her, Tsunami turned slightly as she swept one hand out in front of her, quickly releasing four twisting coils of water that arched down at the four gang members below. The blasts of water each struck their intended targets, knocking the four gang members off their feet and sending them flying backward to where they landed on the ground unconscious. Tsunami turned back to face her two attackers, her guard back in place to continue to ward off any further attacks.

Okay, Tsunami will use Defensive Attack (-5 atk/+5 defense) and then use her Cone of Water attack to blast four gang members on the lower level who had moved out and drawn pistols they pointed up at the loft area. She Takes 10 to hit them and all four go down.
-
Yep, as mentioned in chat, that hits and they cannot make those saves. Go ahead and post IC.

Okay, that brings up Round Two 24 Crimson Tiger (unharmed, 3 HP) 19 Tsunami (unharmed, 3 HP) 17 Ye Quan (bruised) 16 Gang Member (multiple) 9 Jessica (grappled, pinned, unharmed, 3 HP) 8 SFX (unharmed, 2 HP) Crimson is up. In case it is not clear from my posts Thunder, Mali currently has two gang members in melee with her, and there are two others within 5 feet of her, one who grappled Jessica and the other who tried to grapple Jessica.

GM Spectra moved just inside the courtyard of the tower, where she could still keep an eye on things nearby and began providing a translation for Queenie. Trapped inside the silvery force construct, the Zultasian lowered his weapon, letting go of it with his left hand. That hand reached down to his belt, where he removed an object that looked very much like some sort of grenade. Holding it up, he looked out at Queenie and Spectra as he stated in Gal Standard, <"I will die for my Khan."> With that, he armed the grenade and dropped it down at his feet inside the silvery force construct…

Blaze, I sent you a message in chat, but as I have thought about it more, your area effect would not reach the loft area anyway, as it would be stopped by the floor of the loft area (which is the ceiling to you) as your area effect does not have indirect or anything that would allow it to ignore the intervening structure. So, you could drop the effect around you (leaving yourself unaffected) and only effect those on the ground floor.

GM Seresk gave a small nod when Zhu indicated she should probably wait before going into the memorial hall. Turning away from the room, the towering Praetorian continued to lead the teenager through the Praetorian headquarters. "Yes, I was present at that terrible battle." He responded to her question. "As was Paradigm, Elite, Magnetar, Traveller and several others you have not had an opportunity to meet. About two dozen of us manage to survive to see the Communion defeated, at least for a time. We were not even able to return to Delaz Prime before we were intercepted by a powerful artificial intelligence known as the Curator. Weakened as we were from our battle, the Curator’s drones managed to capture us and we were placed in suspended animation." "When the Communion returned a little over three years ago, the Curator, now somewhat changed from what it had been, revived us to help turn back the tide of the Communion's advance. Although the empire we once had defended had long ago disappeared into history, we could not sit by and allow the destruction of others that needed our protection, so we once again went out into battle." He gave Zhu a small smile. "But the Communion has again been defeated, hopefully for certain this time. And while there are still many challenges facing this sector of the galaxy, we continue to offer our aid and protection to those that request it."

Paradigm Between Paradigm and Elite, they had managed to find a pair of boots that managed to fit Rev and come up with some sort of petrochemical. Paradigm had then led Rev and Lawrence to another section of the Praetorian headquarters. The Praetorian headquarters' lounge was located along an outer edge of the facility. The space covered three levels of the headquarters in a tiered design that consisted of various platforms and seating areas stretched over the three levels. The outer wall of the lounge curved upward from the lower level towards the upper level, and was several large sections of plasti-steel, providing a view of the nearby nebula as well as the wormhole which connected the otherwise remote CoVic station to other parts of the quadrant. Even at this distance, a steady flow of space traffic could be seen entering and exiting the wormhole. Lawrence was greatly impressed with the sights, as the group found a table to sit at on one of the levels of the lounge. He moved over near the railing to look out towards the nebula and the nearby wormhole. Paradigm gave Rev as small smile as the teen again thanked her. "You are again most welcome Rev." She stated simply. At Rev’s additional question her expression become more serious. "At any given time there are any number of things the entire universe should likely be concerned about, but for the most part, only an almost incalculable fraction of all the beings that exist ever know about any one of them. For most, even if they had some inkling of any of those dangers, there are far more immediate and tangible issues facing them that are daunting enough without living in fear over something they have little hope of influencing in the least." "The potential threat of Collapse is dire to be sure, one I will take very seriously. But at the moment, there is no clear path that would afford me an opportunity to try to do anything about it. I possess no immediate means of travelling to the future or the past, let alone to the same in other timelines. And even if I could, what limited knowledge I have on such matters suggests that such an endeavor can be complicated by the limitations on what one can do to alter the flow of time. I do not presume to know that I know better how to handle the situation with Lawrence and this Collapse than those that have more experience with it." "Should the need arise, I will provide any assistance I can, but until such time, there are hundreds of worlds that at times look to my fellow Praetorians and I for assistance and protection. I cannot overlook that responsibility for something I have no immediate means of influencing."

Tsunami Giang stood quietly off to one side as Monsoon said goodbye to her husband and son, giving a slight bow to Mark once more as he excused himself and teleported away once more with her infant cousin. She then focused back on Monsoon as she explained where Murjana lived with her husband. At least it sounded like the estate was near enough to the capital so as not to cause to significant a delay for Giang to make it to her meeting at the palace. "I understand." She replied as Monsoon explained how those among the Crocodile Kingdom preferred to be addressed, walking alongside the other young woman as they continued down toward the settlement where they would be able to get transportation toward the capital. Not one to pry into the matters of others, particularly someone she hardly knew, Giang chose not to begin asking questions of her aunt, allowing Monsoon to talk about what she chose.

Well, you cannot make a move action when performing a full action.

We can certainly have SFX jump in at the tail end of the initiative order (ie now) and get a HP for that. So go ahead with what she plans to do).
-
For Wisdom of Kings, that would a -1 Drawback (not Quirk) and that probably is fine in that respect. For the Magic Awareness, it is part of our house rules. We have combined Awareness/Detect super-senses with the base cost being based on the frequency of the descriptor they sense, with Magic being Very Common for 3 PP base cost. We provide an awareness/detect super-sense with the range extra for free (assuming it is not for a sense that already is ranged).

So Syl, there are some issues here, some of which I believe Ari or others may have mentioned in chat. I will sort of go in reverse order. Powers: As I mentioned in chat, you need to list the costs for each power after the power, you also need to clearly indicate any extras, flaws and feats. You also don’t list the DC in the power write up, but down in the DC Block. For example, Mind Control would be: Mind Control 10 (Feats: Mental Link) [21 PP] Also, you are being very cost ineffective with your build, eating up far too many of your PP that you really need for other things (see below on attack and defense caps). You most likely should have the Dazzle and Mind Control in an array with the Illusion and Stun power (seeing as that is a huge array given the cost of Illusion). This will free up a lot of points. Feats: Nothing wrong here, though you should list them alphabetically, makes it easier for GMs looking at your sheet to find things. Combat Caps: This is the biggest problem with the character. Right now she does not meet any combat caps. I know she is a pacifist, but she still needs some Base Attack Bonus and probably at least some accuracy or something on her Dazzle and Stun attacks, otherwise she will hardly ever hit anyone with them (not even low PL minions). But she REALLY needs to improve her Defense and Toughness to meet PL 10 caps for those. Right now, defensively she is PL 1, which means even low PL minions have a decent chance of knocking her out, let alone a PL 10 supervillain. You need to increase her defense to at least +10, or maybe higher if you want to do a trade-off and make her harder to hit vs toughness. At the very least, if you were to do a full trade-off, you need at least +5 toughness. This could be from some form of protection or a forcefield, or even just some sort of protection in her costume.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KD!!

And I knew there was one other thing I missed. Magical Awareness costs 3 PP, so adding extended to that makes the super sense cost 4.

GM With a course of action decided, the Praetorians all gather around Moon-Moth as he prepared to a new spell. As the protective field dropped, the electricity filling the air started arching toward the four Praetorians, Cavalier and Traveller feeling their hair starting to stand on end. But before the deadly current could fully strike them, they were teleported away from the "comet." A moment later, the four Praetorians reappeared in the cantina where Traveller had been waiting for the other three but a short while earlier. It was now deserted, everyone having headed towards shelters or possibly even a spacecraft to get them off Kembel. Once they had managed to reorient themselves, the Praetorians quickly made their way back outside, finding the streets equally deserted. Looking up at the sky, they could see a giant fireball appear, the "comet" was entering the atmosphere. The fireball sped across the sky, but did seem to be slowing. As it continued to drop in altitude, it seemed to be heading towards the ocean which lay beyond the large bay that lay to the eastern edge of the city in which they were standing. Moving quickly over towards the edge of the bay, the Praetorians arrived just as the large object could be seen dropping at a much slower velocity than it had been, aiming out towards the shallow waters near the bay. The object set down into the water, a huge geyser of steam shooting up into the sky as some of the surrounding water was vaporized by the intense heat caused by reentry. The waters of the bay became momentarily violent, great waves crashing on the shore caused the by impact. But considering what it could have been had the boosters not slowed the objects descent, it was nothing to complain about. Out where the impact had taken place, they could still see steam rising into the air, but there appeared to be some dark shape moving within it. Then, suddenly, holodisplays and other communications devices across the city were activated, as a transmission overrode their normal programing. The projection showed a tall figured dressed in teal, navy and similar power armor similar to that worn by Star Khan, although unlike Star Khan, the figure wore a helmet with a full facemask and a wide black visor that covered his eyes. A teal and navy hood covered part of the figure's head, going down to cover the shoulder plates as well. A small, white Khanate starburst was located at the center of the figure’s chest plate. "Citizens of Kembel I am Justicar Sarin. In the name of the great Kinan Khan, I reclaim this world as part of the Stellar Khanate. Surrender now and you will be welcomed back with open arms and all will be forgiven. Refuse, and you shall reap destruction!"

Tiff, just a couple of things. I am only counting 48 PP spent on stats. +6 Fort save seems a bit low, perhaps use the 2 unspent points you listed for stats? With you dropping the Impervious, her Knockback is only -4. I am only counting 69 ranks of skills. For Feats, I am only counting 22 ranks (and you need to list Dodge Focus 4 to get that). Also need to list what sense is used for Uncanny Dodge.- 7 replies

GM Both Kath'lana and B'ka soon arrived at one of the many courtyards within the inner ring of the fortress headquarters of the Star Knights. Several dozen other squires were already gathered, starting to form into their all too familiar positions within the formation that was part of their morning ritual. Before B'ka could make his way over toward his position in formation near Kath'lana, one of the Star Knights overseeing the assembly stopped him. "One moment Squire B'ka." The reptilian Star Knight stated. "Armor deployment authorized." The Star Knight stated, allowing for B'ka to don his armor before taking his place in the ranks. Once the two were in their places, they were required to wait several more microcycles as the remaining squires made their way into the courtyard and took their places. Finally, all were gathered together, as a Star Knight called the formation to attention. A figure dressed in a white robe appeared on a balcony overlooking the courtyard. It was an older Lor with white hair that was quickly recognized as A'lan Koor, one of the greatest Star Knights in generations and a member of the Inner Circle, the senior most Star Knights that assisted Mentor in overseeing the administration of the Order. "Good morning Squires." Koor stated greeting as he looked out over the gathered beings from across the galaxy. "May I congratulate each of you in all you have accomplished thus far in your training. Know that myself and all the other members of the Inner Circle are proud of how far each of you has come." "In times past you would be entering the final stages of your training here on Citadel, and within a cycle or two be ready to take on the full mantle of a Star Knight. But the challenges facing the Galaxy have changed, as have the needs of the Order. As such, starting today, you will be organized into small groups and assigned to an active Star Knight for continued training off world. As part of this training you will rotate from the field back to Citadel, to be reassigned to other Star Knights for further off world training. Know this, you will be facing the sorts of threats and challenges that you will be expected to overcome upon reaching full knighthood." "While the dangers you will be facing are great, trust in yourselves, your training and your fellow members of the Order and you will overcome them. You will be representatives of the Order, and your actions will reflect directly upon us all. We trust that you will carry yourselves as you have been taught to do so." "Always remember the oath," Koor stated, beginning a chant that was quickly be joined be the assembled Squires and Star Knights. "Sword and shield, Star Stone's light, shining beacon in our fight, for justice, honor, truth and right, evil beware – the true Star Knight!" "Best speed and may the stars shine upon you all. I look forward to seeing each upon your return." Koor finished giving the assembled Squires a small smile before making his way back inside the fortress. A Star Knight moved forward from where she had been standing on the balcony to address the squires. "Squires, you will now be provided your assignments."

Squire Kath'lana Kath'lana did her best to just ignore the large dent in the door to her quarters, trusting that the maintenance robots that oversaw much of the operations on Citadel would have it repaired by the time she was able to head back to her quarters. Instead, she focused on the towering form of B'ka before starting off down the hallway toward the assembly courtyard. "I honestly do not know." She replied in response to his questions about who would be handling their training that day. "But I am certain we will find out soon enough." The F'terrix squire nodded at several fellow squires as she and B'Ka joined a growing crowd that was moving towards one of the nearby courtyards. Those gathered around them represented the most advanced among the Squires that had been recruited since the end of the Communion War, the first of the new batch of recruits that were filling the strained ranks of the Order.
