  1. GM Seresk stopped as Zhu did, looking over towards the room she asked about. "That is our memorial hall." The reptilian replied, a solemn expression coming to his face. Leading Zhu over through the entrance to the room, they came into a dimly lit room. On either side of the room were dozens of holograms representing costumed beings of all shapes and sizes, arranged in rows. There were many humanoids with all manner of skin tones, feline humanoids, reptilian humanoids, even insectoids. At the far end of the room, opposite the door were a dozen life sized stone statutes. In the center of these was a male figure with a powerful physique that closely resembled Paradigm, both in his facial features and the pattern of the costume he depicted as wearing. "Over two thousand, I believe you Terrans refer to it as 'years,' ago, some of us were the protectors of an ancient stellar empire known as the Delaztri Empire. When a powerful enemy attacked the empire, it took the combined might of our entire order to stop them. These holograms are in memory of those that perished in that conflict, including Paradigm's brother." Seresk stated, focusing his gaze on the statue of the male in a similar costume at the far end of the room. "Daar Val-Ren was among our most powerful members and served as one of our Imperators. When those of us that survived were awoken from suspended animation some three years ago to face our ancient enemy once more, our first action was to elect Paradigm as our Imperatrix."
  2. GM "Hundreds, if not thousands, of starships travel the wormhole network every galactic standard day. I am aware of no more than a dozen ships that have been lost, and perhaps three times as many that have ended up somewhere other than where they intended over three cycles. I believe most that use the network view it as no more of a risk than other means of traveling through space, particularly over the great distances the network connects." Commander E’tten replied, although he appeared rather neutral on the subject. "As for having a chance to study the wormhole up close," he then continued, "I can certainly get clearance for you to have an opportunity to examine the Lo-Van wormhole up close, and even to enter it should you wish."
  3. Paradigm Daedalus got up to leave to make the transmission back to Earth and then go visit the locations where the robed figured had been, promising Zhu he would be sure to see her again before she left and provide an authgraph. Paradigm then regarded the two Terran teenagers and their various requests. "Unfortunately there are few vessels that rely upon any sort of fuel source I am afraid." Paradigm replied in response to Rev’s request for some fuel. "But there may be something similar we can locate. And while we do not have 'sneakers,' I believe we can provide some form of footwear." She then added. At Zhu’s requests, she had a briefly puzzled look, "selfie?" She stated at first, before a look of realization came to her, "ah yes, I recall Queenie mentioning it was some form of visual recording of oneself in different locations and with different individuals. Yes, you may take a few if you so wish." She then stated. After Zhu (and Rev if she wanted) had taken a few selfies and been provided an autograph, Paradigm led the two teens and Lawrence out of the room they had been in and back into the command center proper. "The best person to answer your technical questions would be Traveller. Seresk, can you see our young friend to the hanger? I believe Traveller is working on the Kavaca." "Of course Paradigm." The large reptilian Praetorian replied before looking down at Zhu. "This way please." He started, leading her toward one of the exits from the command center. Paradigm then looked back to Rev and Lawrence. "Now, let us see about finding you some footwear and perhaps some form of 'fuel.'" Seresk led Zhu out of the command center and through a main corridor of the headquarters. The large Praetorian explaining to Zhu that they were going to see one of the more technically adept members of the Praetorians, who was currently conducting some maintenance on one of the spacecraft used by the Praetorians. As the two walked down the corridor, Zhu noticed the passed a room that appeared to be filled with holograms of various alien looking individuals.
  4. Yeah, not something I ever really got around to thinking about. We could come up with something, or Blarghy you could do something like "Puigo thinks about the question some, and not having a clear gauge of how long he had been trapped in his disabled spacecraft, provided the last date he knew for certain, when he and the other Praetorians went into battle against the Communion."
  5. Jack only gets a 21 on his will save, so the Taunt works!
  6. GM As before, Phalen did not respond to Starshot, turning slightly away from the space hunter. Although he had become more comfortable with the group, not trying to fight them or escape all the time, he was till withdrawn and non-responsive. A short while later, Emorda and the other Kurabanda returned, dragging the carcasses of some animals they had killed. Starting a fire, they proceeded to clean and skin the kills, as well as cut of the best meat which some of them smoked while the others were preparing the skins. Laark and Soreen had gathered a number of long, sturdy branches that could be used to create a frame, stacking them off to one side. Looking over at where the Kurabanda were working, Soreen seemed lost in thought for a moment before she said, "another possible thought…if we find a suitable place near the camp, perhaps we could start a fire that gives off a lot of smoke, draw some of them out and into an ambush?"
  7. Unfortunately, he manages to maintain the grapple.
  8. I'd say drop the Accurate so you don't have to have the Uncontrolled. You will just need to teleport down to somewhere you are familiar with on the surface.
  9. GM Ye Quan was knocked backward by Crimson Tiger's powerful knee attack, but managed to stay on his feet as he came to a halt. A bit of blood smeared his face from his nose, but he shook his head and refocused, looking at the Asian heroine. Yelling something in Cantonese, he gestured with one hand before bringing up another that was still glowing with the dark aura that had surrounded it before. Another blast of dark energy shot forth, aimed at Crimson Tiger. But the Asian heroine was much more agile than the gang member that had fallen victim to such an attack a short while earlier and she easily dodged to one side. Then two gang members rushed at her, each launching a series of kicks and strikes, but Crimson Tiger easily dodged or blocked each of them. Another two gang members rushed at Tsunami, making similar attacks, that led to similar results. As Jessica was taking in all that had just unfolded, another two gang members came rushing up behind her, each trying to grab one of her arms. She managed to pull her left arm away from the first, but as she was focused on that one, the other managed to grab ahold of her right arm. Down on the lower level, the gang member SFX was facing had started to scowl and seemed like he might have been about to strike her, but suddenly he looked away as several people were shouting in Cantonese. Other gang members were running about, some heading towards the stairs up to the loft area, others starting towards some of the weapons that SFX had detected along the sides of the room. The gang member in front of her ran around her, moving towards one of the racks holding an assault rifle.
  10. Ye Quan will shake off the daze (another HP to Crimson), he will then try to blast Crimson Tiger, missing with a 15 Several of the gang members up on the loft leap into action, two attacking Crimson, they both miss badly. Another two attack Tsunami, getting a bit better with a 20 and 23, the second would have hit, but for her Defensive attack bonus. Two others rush over to try to grab Jessica, getting a 15 and 23, the second being good enough to hit. He gets a 22 on his grapple check. It will be Jessica’s turn, after I get a grapple check.
  11. Tusnami As Crimson Tiger leapt into action, Tsunami prepared to follow after her friend. The first thing the Asian young woman did was form a protective sheen of water that appeared to flow over her entire body. She then focused her attention on one of the gang members who was standing near a table upon which a submachine gun was lying. Leaping down from the rafters, Tsunami aimed a flying kick at the gang member, her foot connecting squarely with his upper chest with tremendous force. The force of the attack sent the man flying back and downward, where he slammed into some chairs, knocking them over, before coming to a halt to lay there unconscious. Tsunami was able to push off at the moment of impact, gracefully flipping backward to land in a high back stance, one hand out in front of her while the other was extended behind her. She was facing several of the other gang members to one side of where the leader had been, putting herself between them, Crimson Tiger and the unusual red skinned young woman.
  12. Tsunami will activate her forcefield and the drop down as well, targeting one of the gang members. She will Power Attack (-4/+4) and defensive attack (-3/+3) and can still Take 10 to hit him. The gang member cannot pass that toughness save (DC 26), so he is out. She will use her Acrobatics (Skill Mastery) to land on her feet.
  13. GM The Lor commander looked at the radiation spikes Quill had identified in the data and listened to the scientist’s explanation of the Quantum Dark Zone. "I am afraid I am not familiar with this 'quantum dark zone,' other than what you have said about it and the limited information we still have regrading the investigation conducted by you and Chief Scientist Solak. Any further data the chief scientist had appears to have been lost with Lo-Van." He then looked back at the data for a moment before continuing, "but I agree that these wormholes are not 'normal.' Whatever the Communion was planning with them, I do not expect it was anything good, given how it created these and its general pattern of treatment of the worlds it seized during the war. But whatever their true nature, they are here and individuals are willing to take the risk of traveling through them, given they have proven safe a majority of the time."
  14. He gets a 20 the first time, I will reroll (+1 HP to Crimson) getting a 21, that stinks, bruised and dazed. He still manages to land on his feet out of the knockback.
  15. Jander, overall thing look pretty clean with the mechanics. I just see a couple of small things. For his Strength, you should list the Enhanced Strength as well (like this: Strength: 24/34 (+7/+14) I also am not sure about that flaw on your Comprehend. How do you see that working? You mention "new languages," does that mean if he gets exposed to a language he always remembers it and does not need the one scene exposure again? The thing to remember for limitations is they should apply at least 50% of the time, I am not sure this limitation does that.
  16. Not sure you need 20 ranks.
  17. Squire Kath'lana Kath'lana had awoken an hour before the sunrise, taking a trip toward one of the outer biomes a few miles from the inner circle of the Citadel. This biome was a warm heavily vegetated jungle, rather similar to F'terrix Prime. Once she had arrived, the young F'terrix had disengaged her armor and spent some time prowling through the jungle, re-acclimating herself to the environment, its sounds and smells. Today would mark the beginning of her final path towards completing her training and eventually becoming a full Star Knight. While Kath'lana was excited to begin this journey, she did not want to forget her past. Stalking through the trees like her ancient ancestors once did was one such reminder. When the first rays of sunlight were just starting to pierce through the jungle canopy, a soft chime sounded on a bracelet on Kath'lana’s wrist. The F'terrix stopped on the branch she was on, looking down at the device. Glancing back in the general direction of the center of Citadel, she let out a small sigh and leapt off the breach. "Armor ACTIVATE!" As Kath'lana flew through the air, gravity starting to pull her toward the ground, green tinted armor of a Star Knight quickly folded around her, encasing her completely before she had dropped more than ten feet. Once the armor was on, she was no longer falling, instead, she quickly rose back up into the air, soon rising above the jungle canopy completely. Turning toward the distant towers that rose up above all else nearby, she then flew toward them, a trail of green following in her wake. A short while late Squire Kath'lana was making her way through the halls of one of the living sections of one of massive towers in the inner ring, nodding politely to other students as she passed in response to their smiles and well wishes. She heard the sound of her fellow squire banging on her door before she even rounded the corner. "I am here B'ka." She stated as she came around the corner, moving over towards the towering youth. She was still in her armor, though had the helmet retracted.
  18. Citadel Lor Timemark 1792.4 [March 4, 2018 (Terran Calendar)] The planet Citadel was perhaps among the most unique in the known galaxy. The world had long ago been terraformed so that is contained dozens of different biomes and even atmospheres, many sealed off from one another to prevent contamination. All of this was possible thanks to Mentor and incredibly advanced technology that made the division possible. The various biomes and atmospheres allowed for the incredible variety that made up the membership of the Star Knights, providing barracks and recreational atmospheres as well as training grounds for the Knights and its potential members. On the largest continent of the planet stood a massive fortress consisting of a ring of a dozen towering spires. Each spire was the width of several city blocks of a major Terran city and rose up well over a mile in height. From this inner ring, dozens of smaller buildings, each no more than ten stories high, extended outward like spokes for several miles. These reached out to connect to some of the major atmosphere sectors of the most unusual planet. This was the central headquarters of the Order of the Star Knights, the interstellar guardians of freedom and justice. Within those walls were the vast processors which contained Mentor, the enigmatic cybernetic computer network that contained the knowledge and experiences of thousands of individuals. There were also training facilities, living quarters and various administrative and support offices for the Order. As the sun rose in the sky over the headquarters of the Star Knights, many members of the Order and its recruits were just beginning their day. For the group of recruits that were recently officially given the title of Star Squire, today would mark the first day they would be leaving Citadel to continue their training working alongside current Knights, undertaking the sorts of missions they would one day be expected to carry out on their own.
  19. Well, I am going to leave SFX out of the initiative at the moment, neither she nor many of the gang members not on the loft are going to be able to be immediately reactive to what is going on. She likely will be part of the initiative next round.
  20. Tsunami Giang listened as Monsoon talked about Murjana. "I fully expected I would have little to fear from Dr. Sini's followers here. I doubt Headmistress Summers would have asked me to make this trip if there was much chance of that." "As for my mother…I had no preconceived notion of how she would be. If I were to find someone that did not immediately see me as a weapon or tool to be used for their own gain, I would view that a marked improvement." The young Asian woman then looked back at Mark as he spoke up. "I am not immediately pressed for time. This arrival was timed so I would have plenty of time to make it to the capital for my meeting."
  21. GM "Kurabanda gather hides then." Emorda replied before looking over at the other Kurabanda and speaking to them in their language. The Kurbanda then all headed off into the forest, drawing their bows. With the Kurabanda off to hunt, Starshot was left with his crewmembers to continue discussing possible tactics. "Well, we won't know quite what we are up against until we can get to where we can at least look at the camp with macrobinoculars." Soreen replied. "But the odds were never really going to be in our favor we just have to take things as they come. Again, it is our only shot at getting what we need to get off this planet." Laark nodded as Starshot discussed a possible tactic with some of the grenades they had obtained from the pirate raiding party. "I have brought these along for just such possibility." He replied with a nod. Phalen remained off to one side, quietly mumbling to himself.
  22. Round One 24 Crimson Tiger (unharmed, 1 HP) 19 Tsunami (unharmed, 3 HP) 17 Ye Quan (unharmed) 16 Gang Member (multiple) 9 Jessica (unharmed, 3 HP) Crimson Tiger has initiative.
  23. Well, either way, it is not enough. So, I believe we need initiative, as he is going to try to grab your wrist, unless you are going to allow him to.
  24. I corrected that and dropped a point of Will save in Saving Throws to get to 150.
  25. Thanks Durf. I fixed the Defense (which should be +8 total) and the incorrect listing of Protection. I think I forgot to included that third rank of Comprehend, which accounts for the missing two device points, so that has been added. Also fixed the notation that it is Super-Senses 4 and changed the Low-Light vision in the armor to extended on the Low-Light Vision she has naturally from her alien traits. And yes, her melee attack is currently undercapped. She is PL 9 with her blast and defensively, which is where she should be.
