  2. Paradigm Paradigm listened to the additional information from Hyperslice and focused her attention in the direction of the approaching second sun. It appeared that time for stealth had passed and they were about to meet the Anointer. "Alright, I am headed in the direction of this second sun." The Naram stated over the comm. With that, she then flew up into the air, casting aside her robe and cloak as her long black cape billowed behind her. Reaching a point higher than any of the buildings in Derendis, she spotted Cavalier lifting into the air as well and flew up alongside the Star Knight as they both started off towards the approaching glow of sunlight and flame, and the army following behind it.
  3. GM As Crimson Tiger and Tsunami remained in place, not quite ready to make their presence known, the gang leader shifted his dark eyes towards Jessica. Before Jessica could even move over to try to play up to the gang leader, he leveled his hand which was still surrounded by the aura of dark energy at her. "Who the *$%& are you?" He asked, his tone cold and deadly. "And how did you get here?" The other gang members gathered on the loft near the leader were still tense after the sudden attempt to attack him, but remained quiet as they watched the scene play out in front of them. Down on the lower level, other gang members were now looking up at the scene on the loft as well, the party atmosphere in the warehouse coming to something of a halt for the moment.
  4. GM With Traveller recovered from the initial electrical shock she had received and now protected by Moon-Moth's spell, Seresk set her back down and she went over to examine the access panel Moon-Moth had already opened. As Moon-Moth had indicated, the circuitry inside was highly advanced and intricately designed. Whomever had designed it had made it neigh impossible to shut off the forcefield without also disabling the thrusters designed to slow the vessel down once it was entering a planet’s atmosphere. Based on Traveller's calculations, they were already far too close to Kimbel now. If she disable those thrusters, there was no way to guarantee that the defense forces and Praetorians could destroy the vessel completely enough to prevent a major disaster when it hit the planet. Of course, there was one other problem. The boosters were nearly about to activate, which meant they were nearing the planet’s atmosphere. Things were about to get rather hot where they were standing if they remained there when reentry began.
  5. Tsunami Being friends with Kat Shade, Giang was rather accustomed to the sensation of being teleported, so she was perfectly relaxed as Mark transported them nearly halfway around the world in an instant. Looking out at the development below, she gave a small nod as Mark offered more advice. She then smiled as he mentioned the nullifiers in place to prevent unwanted guests from just teleporting into the capital. "Likely a wise precaution, all things considered." She stated before turning back towards Mark. "Thank you for the assistance Mark. I hope it will not be another five years before we have reason to see each other again." The Asian young woman then made her way out of the observation platform and over towards the tram to take her down into the development, where she will be able to get on a maglev to the capital.
  6. GM "Of course, I can get you access." Commander E'tten replied as he led Quill out of the hanger and into other parts of the station. The pair passed several other Lor and other species, all in Lor military uniforms as they made their way down the station’s busy corridors. Eventually the commander brought Quill up to the station’s command center. It was a large, three story tall room with multiple levels of monitoring stations and other duty stations. One wall was almost entirely clear plexi-steel, providing a direct visual view of the wormhole and the dozens of spacecraft making their way in and out. Several small holoscreens were displayed on the plexi-steel wall, providing close up visuals of certain ships, other nearby stations and even a couple of the wormhole itself. There were more than a dozen Lor personnel present when they arrived, all busy with the countless tasks that were involved with monitoring the wormhole and the starship traffic making use of it. A few glanced over at the pair, but said nothing as Quill was with the commander. Commander E'tten led Quill off to a small room off the command center, a large window providing a view of the command center beyond. There was a good sized table with six chairs spaced around it, along with a computer station. "I can access the data for you here." He replied. "Would you like some refreshment?"
  7. GM Sareen gave Starshot a skeptical look. "Given all the strange creatures we have encountered thus far, you really want to get into that water?" She asked. "You're more likely to end up somethings dinner than sneak up on anything." Emorda shook his head at the discussion of approaching from the water. "Demons from far sky not next to shore of black water, they build their strong huts well away. Surrounded by burning sand. Demons from far sky likely to spot anything on black water that come near their strong huts." "That sounds like more desert." Laark replied. "Could make it much more difficult to approach, at least during the day."
  8. I would probably say no to Cabot, sort of the whole point with him is that no one knows he is an immortal. While yes other immortals might be able to figure it out enough to suspect he is, it just seems his actually joining is an admission that he is, and brings him under possibly closer scrutiny of others, particularly heroes that are immortal. That is probably not something he wants.
  9. So, wanted to update this some. Ari and I have submitted our Star Squires: Squire B'ka and Squire Kath'lana. If anyone else had some interest in making a Star Knight/Star Squire, not at all too late to get involved.
  10. Player Name Thevshi Character Name: Sri Kath'lana Power Level: 10 [12] (203/220 PP) Trade-Offs: -1 Atk/+1 Damage Unspent Power Points: 17 In Brief: Felinoid Star Knight. Alternate Identity: Kath’lana Identity: Public Birthplace: F'terrix Prime Residence: The Citadel of the Star Knights Occupation: Star Knight Affiliations: Star Knights Family: Deceased Description Age: 24 (DOB: 2/18/1999 (Terran Calendar)) Apparent Age: 24 (for a F'terrix) Gender: Female Ethnicity: F'terrix Height: 5' 8" Weight: 150 lbs Eyes: Green Fur: Light brown, with black streaks along the back and legs. Like all F'terrix, Kath'lana is a feline humanoid, covered in light brown catlike fur with black streaks along her back and legs. Her bright green eyes are also catlike, as are her ears. Like all F'terrix, Kath'lana does not have a tail. Kath’lana’s Star Knight armor is emerald green, similar to her eyes. Power Descriptions: Kath'lana's Star Knight armor possess similar abilities to other Star Knights, channeling the power of the Star Stone to protect her and provide her with energy weapons, flight and space travel and translating the universe's vast spectrum of means to communicate. The energy beams and energy claws that her armor forms are bright green in color. History: While Kath'lana was born on F'terrix Prime, she was still very young when her family moved to colony world along the boarders of Lor Space. It was there that she grew up, living a quiet and rather peaceful life. But then the Communion came. While Kath'lana was among those able to escape the world not everyone on the world was so lucky, including her family. She became one of the multitude of refugees that were displaced by the war with the Communion. At only 16, she was still rather young for a F’terrix, but she refused to allow the situation to define her. When the group of refugees she was with encountered those that tried to prey on those in such desperate conditions, Kath’lana was among those that stood up to fight against them. After the war with the Communion ended, Kath’lana ended up among those settling on Coalition Victory Station, but it was not long before she came to the attention of the Star Knights and was selected by Mentor as a candidate for membership in the Order to help refill the ranks after the losses during the war. So Kath'lana was taken to the Citadel, where she began her training to become a Star Knight. After completing the initial training at Citadel, Kath'lana was assigned to an active duty Star Knight for active duty and to complete her time as a squire. The young F'terrix performed her duties admirably, and has since been promoted to full Star Knight stauts. Personality & Motivation: Kath'lana is a rather aggressive individual, as might be expected from a being that comes from a race that evolved from predators. But that aggressive nature has been tempered some by her training on Citadel, and she is learning to take a more measure approach to things. While she has seen and experienced terrible things since the Communion attacked her world, Kath'lana still believes in the good of others. While there were those that tried to take advantage of her and other refuges, there were many more that provided what help and assistance they could. She has dedicated herself to the Order, so that she may have the power to help those in need like she once was, and to protect those that cannot protect themselves. Powers & Tactics: When required to fight, Kath'lana typically begins by moving along the perimeter, relying on her energy beams to attack while getting a feel for her opponents. If an opening presents itself, she will close to use her energy claws for a quick attack, then back off once more to look for another opening. Complications: Hunter's Instinct Her predator instincts can conflict with her responsibilities to protect others, this can cause her to press combat when another course of action might be more appropriate. Distractible True to her feline nature, when Kath'lana is not in combat, new and interesting things can distract her from her task on hand. 11. Yeah, I think I am summarizing the thoughts Tiff and Durf have stated? Also, the name is one Tiff came up with
  12. Well, I think there is pretty good agreement that the White Lion(ess) trials should be more than just a trial by combat. I like the idea that it involves a number of challenges, which can include some combat. I also like Tiff's idea that the current holder of the White Lion(ess) title is not necessarily the head of state, so M'balla can still be the nominal king (but ruling alongside a council of elected representatives from all the tribes, not as a authoritarian monarch) while someone else can hold the title. On another subject, how do people feel about the capital being: N'Gome ya Watu (Stronghold of the People)?
  13. I don't see why being highly advanced means Dakana has to be more Western in organization and style. Not sure its a good look to take the setting's highly advanced African nation and make it more Western.
  14. Well, not sure we want to change the history of White Lions being the kings/queens by saying they just happen to be in charge currently. I think the country having different clans is more likely than it being distinct political parties. Otherwise we are pretty much making the country more Western in organization and style if we strip away more traditional elements.
  15. Okay, Crimson and Tsunami saw the scene with the gang leader blasting one of his men, and of course Jessica did as well. SFX is currently being held up by a lecherous gang member and did not see what happened up in the loft area, though, she might realize something happened soon. So, give me an idea of how each of you plan to react to all this, and that will dictate if we go to initiative now or not.
  16. GM Crimson Tiger and Tsunami moved along the periphery of the crowd for a bit, taking in the scene. Like SFX, they did not see any sign of anyone that was there against their will. As Crimson studied the gang members she was able to see, she could see that unlike many criminals, they appeared to know how to fight without their guns. Of course, they still were not in her or Tsunami's league in that respect. The pair continued moving in the shadows, climbing up into the rafters to get a better view of the gathered crowd. As Jessica reached out to her guide's mind with her powers, she felt them take root. His demeanor shifted, ever so slightly, as a bit of a scowl came to his face. "Yeah, he no longer deserves to lead us." The man whispered to himself as he looked at Jessica and then started leading her through the crowd once more. He led Jessica over to a flight of stairs that led up to the loft area above the main floor. Meanwhile, the disguised SFX was moving through the crowd, as she did, she surprisingly spotted someone she knew across the way. Over near a set of stairs heading up to the loft area she saw the young woman that had come to her parents store a little over a week ago. But before she could move over toward Jessica, one of the gang members blocked her way. The man had a lecherous grin on his face as he began to say something to her in Cantonese. Crimson Tiger and Tsunami had managed to get to some of the rafters that allowed them a view of much of the area where the min-rave was taking place, including the loft area. For the most part, the gang members gathered up there seemed little different than those in other parts of the warehouse, with one exception. Toward the center of the loft, located near the edge overlooking the area below, there was a group of gang members with some young women gathered. Several of these gang members carried themselves much more confidently than the average ones, Crimson had a sense they were better fighters. But it was the gang member seated at the center that truly drew her attention. The young Asian was taller than average, with lean muscle and scars along the left side of his face that looked like the result of skidding on pavement at high speed. He carried himself with something of an air of arrogance and from what Crimson Tiger could sense, it likely was not without reason, as she felt he might actually be close to on par with either her or Tsunami. And there was something else about him that Crimson could not quite place. As Jessica's guide led her up to the loft area, she could feel his hatred building inside him. There were more gang members and girls gathered up here, but still Jessica did not see any sign of Hannah. Then they came to a small group in the center of the loft area. There were several very tough looking gang members there, a few girls and one Asian young man in his early twenties seated in a chair around which all the others were gathered. This gang member was taller than average, and was casting a cold gaze over everything going on around him, an expression heightened by the scars on the left side of his face. As they approached, Jessica's guide pushed himself away from her as he yelled over the music. "Ye Quan!" He yelled, before switching to Cantonese. As he yelled, he reached for his pistol. He managed to get it out and was staring to aim when the scared young man rose quickly to his feet and raised one hand, around which a dark aura of energy formed. A black bolt of energy leapt from the man's hand, striking Jessica's guide in his chest and blasting him off his feet. He landed a short distance away, his body limp, though whether he was just unconscious or dead, Jessica could not immediately tell.
  17. Yeah, he fails, only getting a 13.

  19. Tsunami It had been some time since Tsunami had seen Mark, but he seemed very much the same as those prior times. "Yes, I believe I am." She replied when he asked her if she was ready to go. When he mentioned the local time at her destination, the Asian young woman nodded. "I had checked the time difference, but that does sound like a very good idea," she replied in response to his suggestion. "It will provide a bit of time to prepare and I can change into a more appropriate outfit for the meeting." She added, indicating the small garment bag she was carrying along with her small suitcase. "So, whenever you are ready."
  20. Tsunami Giang Trang made her way onto the campus of UC San Diego, a small suitcase in tow. The Asian young woman was dressed in a pair of jeans with a red windbreaker with the Del Mar lifeguard on it. Normally Giang’s spring break would involve increase hours as a lifeguard on Del Mar Beach, but this year Callie Summers, the current headmistress of Claremont Academy had requested her assistance in meeting with a pair of future Claremont students. And so, Giang was traveling to Dakana. She had mixed feelings about the trip. While she was happy to help out Headmistress Summers, there was also the fact that her birth mother was last known to be living in Dakana, married to a Dakanan nobleman. Ever since Giang had first learned her true mother’s identity, she had chosen not to investigate any further. She knew her mother was the oldest daughter of the villain Typhoon, and given that her birth father had placed her in seclusion in Vietnam to be trained to be a weapon in his plans against Dr. Sin, she was not overly optimistic on what meeting her mother might revel. So she had been content to continue her life as it was and look no further into her past. But now it was very likely she would encounter her mother, but that was something she would just have to face when the time came. "Good morning Mark." Giang said as she approached Marc Lucas.
  21. GM "I mean, he's not my real uncle," Lawrence corrected, "I just have gotten used to calling him that, as I have known him since I was little.”" Now that Zhu felt free to take in some of her surroundings saw the wide variety of aliens that seemed to habit the space station. The area they were in consisted of wide open plazas that ran between spaced out buildings. Paradigm explained that this section of the station, referred to as the Main Plaza, was just a portion of the central habited section of the station and that there were multiple other sections. She explained that the Main Plaza consisted of many embassies from various worlds, corporate offices and other similar buildings. Out beyond the high ceiling, there was the colorful gas clouds of a nearby nebula, which glittered and shown against a dark backdrop filled with stars. It was a short while later that the group arrived at the Praetorian's headquarters. Located along one edge of the Main Plaza, it was part of the outer wall of the level. A plaza with several fountains sat out in front of the headquarters. A small crowd of various beings were gathered there, cheering as they saw Paradigm and the other Praetorians arrive with Zhu, Lawrence and Lexa. As the group made their way into the entry way of the Praetorian headquarters, the familiar figure of Daedalus was there waiting. "You contacted me Paradigm?" He began before glancing at who was accompanying the Naram. "Lawrence? What in the world are you doing here?"
  22. Add Apparent Age: 22 DONE BY AA
  23. Paradigm "No, not my dad, just my mom, she's Velocity." Lawrence replied as Zhu asked about what he had just said and started to freak out. The teen year old looked a bit concerned that Zhu was working herself up so much about things and added to Lexa's reassuring comments. "I am sure both my parents will totally understand Zhu. You two followed after me, even though you had no idea where it might take you. I am certain they will be glad you were here." "I have never met your mother," Paradigm then replied, "but I have heard of her from other Freedom League members I have met." She then looked over to Zhu and Lexa. "And if it could help, I would be happy to, I believe the phrase is, 'put in a good word' for both of you." Paradigm then activated her comm. once again, "Elite, we are returning to headquarters with the three young Terrans, could you please contact Daedalus and have him meet us there." "Uncle Daedalus is here?" Lawrence asked after hearing Paradigm’s transmission. "The Freedom League has begun rotating members here on CoVic station from time-to-time." Paradigm replied. "Daedalus happens to be the current member residing here."
  24. I am not sure we hold to that Ari, Myrmidon's backstory was pretty tied to Overshadow being active. Besides, if Dr. Sin is part of the Codus, he knows Overshadow is still around. But Overshadow likely would not be overly interested I would guess.
