He fails the save with a 17, I am going to treat all the time shades as minions, so, that will take him out! That brings up Rux, who will teleport over near Gamma and attack, hitting with a 24, so DC 25 toughness save @Supercape Then Rux teleports away. Timeout will unleash the power he stunted last time again. Using Extra effort for +2 to the Transform. He gets a 22 on his attack roll, which will hit the remaining Praetorians still communionized (plus any other communion drones in the area). Not going to bother with the DC 22 save for the drones, will just say the majority are turned back to their original state: Dragonid: 8 Moon-Moth: 23 Kharg: 24 Spectra: 20 Seresk: 12 Well, almost all of them. This brings up another time shade, Sullek will move over to attack Sever, missing with a 13 @Kaede Kimura this brings up Blue Bolt, who is on round two of her jury-rigging a way to get at the robed bad guy (while all hell is breaking lose around her)

Mutli-Girl fails the save with a 15. According to UP, you have to fail by 10 or more to not take any hostile action (unless attacked). But, it does make Calm a bit nerfed compared to others, so I will role play with it some and have her attitude changing to indifferent have her stop attacking for the moment.

NPC/Lynn Lynn seemed more than willing to remain more in the background (so to speak) once the introductions were done and Jack and Alden began talking about being new to Freedom City. She walked along the opposite side of Jack from Alden, following along with their conversation. But when Jack mentioned missing home sometimes, the blonde girl seemed to stiffen as she looked away from the two for a moment. As the trio came to one of the galleries, she had focused back ahead of them. Inside, the trio found a small crowd inside a large open room from which there were a few doors leading to side rooms. The faint sound of music could be heard over the various conversations of the various groups spaced throughout the room. A number of paintings were displayed on the walls of the room, and up along the back wall of the room was a large table set up with various platters of food. When Alden mentioned he would be attending Claremont Academy in the fall, Lynn turned to focus on him, for a moment seeming as if she were considering something. "I will be attending Claremont in the fall as well."

They are minions as well, so he would just take a bruise (that is how I have always read the minion rules is the worst result for a failure is only when an heroic character attacks the minion).

So, with Justicar Vor'an clearing his daze, it is Moon-Moth's turn! @Exaccus

GM The tall thin alien did not hesitate at Galvanic's proposal, looking over at one of the frightened bridge crew. "Divert some auxiliary power to internal comms." Once that was completed, Waymaker toggled a switch on a panel next to him. "Prince Dovox has been defeated. All forces are to immediately cease hostilities with the Praetorians and Terrans and surrender." Waymaker deactivated the comms again and then took a step forward to lay down his staff in front of Galvanic. Standing back upright, he took several steps back from his staff.

Forgot to add, giving everyone a HP for this latest set back/complication. Current HPs are: Gamma Buzz 5 HP Timeout 4 HP Blue Bolt 3 HP Golden Star 4 HP Spaceman 3 HP Torpedo Lass II back to 5 HP Sever 4 HP As we are moving towards the end, don't be hesitant to spend them.
-
GM Torpedo Lass and Sevrer moved back toward the center of the park where most of the Claremont teens have been gathering as Blue Bolt came up with a possible plan to deal with the architect of the situation the teens found themselves in. That architect, the dark robed figure turned slightly away from Spaceman as it raised its arms out to its side, and as it did so, nearly two dozen figures appeared around it. Some were recognizable to the Claremont teens, it was the various members of the Crime League, Black Star, Devil Ray, Dr. Simian, Dr. Stratos, Hiroshima Shadow, the Maesto, Medea, Orion the Hunter and Wildcard. However, each of the villains seemed to be slightly faded in color, being almost greyish in tint. There were at least a dozen other figures that were clearly various aliens. Some appeared to be reptilian, another was some sort of four armed humanoid insect, two were humanoids with various amounts of cybernetics, along with various other humanoids. As with the members of the Crime League, these aliens appeared slightly faded in color, having a similar greyish tint. Almost as soon as these new threats materialized, one of them leapt into action, the four armed insectoid suddenly became a blur of movement as it rushed forward toward Timeout, covering the distance in the blink of an eye. But as it closed, Torpedo Lass fired a phosphorescent sphere that hit the alien. However, it managed to take the hit and keep on coming. But just as it close on Lawrence, there was a WOOSH of air and Paradigm had moved in front of the blond teen. CRACK The alien delivered a supersonic punch, much like Velocity, that struck the Praetorian leader squarely. But she appeared unfazed by the attack and the alien speed past, covering hundreds of feet as it looped around the park. Then a yellow blur streaked after it, as the teenage Velocity sped after the alien, launching a supersonic punch of her own at it. CRACK However, the alien was able to duck underneath the attack as the two sped along side by side.

Okay, time to dial up tension a bit as we move towards executing Blue Bolt's plan: The robed figure is summoning time simulacrums of the Crime League and the Deadly Dozen (alien supervillains the Praetorians have fought in the past). The Crime League will mainly engage with the Freedom League. Round Five 39 Procyus (unharmed) 38 Velocity (unharmed) 32 Gamma Buzz 4 HP (injured, bruised, dislocated leg, prone) 30 Moon-Moth Drone (unharmed) 25 Insect Drones (several in area around park) 24 Rux (unharmed) 24 Timeout 3 HP (unharmed) 21 Sullek (unharmed) 21 Blue Bolt 2 HP (unharmed) 21 Rot 4 HP (unharmed) 20 Varlis (unharmed) 20 X’madi (unharmed) 20 Sai’x (unharmed) 20 Golden Star 3 HP (injured, bruised, fatigued) 20 Spaceman 2 HP (injured, bruised) 18 Zadvian (unharmed) 17 Paradigm (unharmed) 17 Torpedo Lass II 5 HP (unharmed) 15 Drones (many: 5 are within 30’ of Timeout/TL2/Sever; 26 are within 250’ of Timeout/TL2/Sever); other groups further out in area ) 14 Cor (unharmed) 13 Needle Fighters (many) 13 Large Alien Drones (6 (2 currently near Gamma Buzz)) 13 Santir (unharmed) 12 Adiri (unharmed) 10 Sever 3 HP (injured, bruised, prone) 7 Amikai (unharmed) 5 Pheydyn (unharmed) Procyus moves to attack Timeout, and TL2 hits him, but he gets a 27 on his toughness save, so is fine. Paradigm will Interpose as he continues at Timeout. Procyus gets a 30 on his attack roll, a Critical Hit!, which means he just gets past her Impervious. She tanks the DC 30 toughness save with a 34 Teen Velocity will follow after and attack the speedster, missing with a 17 That brings up Gamma Buzz! @Supercape

Multi-Girl Maestro's sonic attack slammed into Bernadette like a sledgehammer, causing her to take half a step backward as she felt the pressure of the attack pounding on her eardrums. But then the feeling passed as she withstood the attack, mostly none the worse for wear. "Askin' politely does not give one a pass fer commitin' crimes." The redhead stated as she refocused on Maestro. Then she and her duplicates went back into action, again attacking Maestor and the punk rockers that he had brough along to back him up. But Bernadette seemed a bit thrown off by the sonic attack, as Maestro was able to easily step back and avoid her punch. However, his backup did not fare as well. Just as they were starting to clear their heads and look to get back to their feet, they suddenly found themselves facing with multiple redheads, delivering punches or kicks. In short order, three of the punk rockers had been knocked unconscious, with only one managing to withstand a punch.

@Avenger Assembled Are you able to get to the saves soon? Want to keep moving (I can make them if you don't have time)

Multi-Girl As Charlie pulled up on the Stormchaser, Bernadette was quick to hop off the back, landing nimbly on the wrecked pavement. Suddenly there were two identical redheads standing next to each other. The original then continued moving, running a short distance away to where there were several bystanders gathered. "Pleaser, get ta safety. This lot can be dangerous." The costumed Irish teen stated as she pointed off down a side street away from where the super powered battle was starting to escalate. Meanwhile, the duplicate also rushed forward, moving over towards once of the biker gang members, Born Loser. As the villain stood back up after doing something to some nearby civilians to heal himself, the duplicate took a swing at him. However, Born Loser was quick to react, ducking under the punch before taking a step back and fully standing back up.

Okay, Multi-Girl will move off the bike and use her standard action to summon her duplicate. She will then continue to move over to the nearest group of civilians and suggest they get to safety. Duplicate gets a 25 for her initiative.

Bayview Heights Freedom City, New Jersey Thursday May 22, 2024. 5:35 PM Bernadette O'Connell stood at the entrance to the large living room/family room in Young Guardians' mansion headquarters. The far wall of the room was dominated by a massive flat screen TV, with several built-in cabinets around it for various game systems and other electronics. A pair of the redhead’s duplicates had just finished placing another large sofa into the room to add more seating beyond the already large sectional that was there. The Irish teen had organized a movie night for the members of the Young Guardians, and also invited her roommate Neko (who was also Leon's girlfriend). The last several months had been rather busy for all the members of the Young Guardians, but especially for Bernadette. She was nearing the end of her last year at Claremont Academy, with tests and final papers and the like. But if that, and time crime fighting and training with her fellow Guardians, was not enough, there was also her band’s increasing popularity. Since coming back from a show in Tokyo, they had started performing at clubs up and down the East Coast, in addition to ones around Freedom City. They had also put out their first album, and Bernadette had appeared on the cover of Seventeen for a story about the band, in addition to making other media appearances. So, the redhead took every opportunity like this to spend time with her friends and teammates, to allow them to get to know each other a bit better outside the stress of battling supervillains or training. Those that lived at the mansion, or spent a good bit of time there, had come to learn Bernadette could be rather domestic, with her or her duplicates regularly taking the time to clean up around the mansion when she was there, and she was a decent cook. From a relatively young age the Irish teen had begun to help her mother around the house, cleaning up after her father and two older brothers. Glancing one more time around the room, Bernadette gave a small smile. "That should be plenty o' places ta sit." She said aloud, something that was unnecessary, given the mental link she shared with her duplicates. A couple of other duplicates were in the kitchen, getting drinks and snacks ready. She had left it to Charlie to order pizzas for later.

Timeout "I'm fine." Lynn responded, though both Daniel and Sam could tell she was not fully telling the truth. She took a step back from the game and looked back over toward the pair. "Don't worry about me. I am fine to just watch a bit if you two want to keep playing." Over by the Ace Combat game, Lawrence stayed quiet as Mizuki focused on the dog fight she was in. When it ended and she mentioned the other pilot was a pilot in real life the blond teen nodded. "Well, that should take a bit of the sting out I would think. Must feel good to have gotten so close." When she started talking about summer plans and started to get a bit at a loss for words, Lawrence took one of her hands in his, holding it gently as he gave her a warm smile. "That sounds like a great opportunity that you are more than qualified for." He said. "As for me, overall, my family's plans have been a bit upended." He glanced briefly over in the direction of where Lynn was standing with Daniel and Sam. "I think my mom is planning to be in town all summer to make sure she is okay and settling in." The blond teen turned back to regard Mizuki with his bright blue eyes. "As for me, I have nothing in particular planned. My father has to go back to England for a few things over the summer, and I was thinking of going along at least once. But…I can easily pop back across the pond whenever I want to." He stated with a slight grin. "You got something in mind?"

Okay, Mutli-Girl and her duplicates will stay on as many enemies as they can (continuing to use the selective AOE on Maestro and as many of the band as she can catch in her 60' radius (she will shift the center of it to catch the max number)). She rolls a 16, probably won't hit Maestro. But should hit the band members, as they are now prone, so she would get +4 to hit them (making the roll a 20), unless any have Prone Fighting.

Multi-Girl Bernadette was about to make a comment in response to Charlie when Vic commented about flirting on their own time. "Spoil sport." The redhead said to Vic with a slight grin as she and her duplicate moved toward their respective opponents. The duplicate that went after Charlie regarded her options slightly as he took a step back with his staff ready. She knew he was far too good with the staff (so much for no weapons) that any prolonged fight would favor him. Her best bet was to get in close fast and get ahold of him and rely in on her much greater strength. Deciding on her course of action, the redhead rushed forward, diving at Charlie to try to tackle him. Meanwhile, the original Bernadette circled slightly around Vic as she moved carefully closer. While she had been in a couple fights and some training alongside Vic, she still did not know her ability as well as Charlie and some of the others. So, the Irish teen decided to see what she could gage about her opponent. Stepping in, she launched a round house kick at the side of Vic's head, but did not put everything into the attack, instead preparing to dodge aside should Vic block or avoid the attack and counter….

GM Before Waymaker could respond to Galvanic after her sudden appearance on the bridge, the Tempestian’s communicator activated and Paradigm’s voice came over the device. Waymaker looked at the small hologram and the back to Galvanic. "With Dovox defeated, I surrender this vessel and will order the end to all hostilities by its crew. I cannot guarantee any of the renegade Kanate forces that had come to join us will agree to do so."

Paradigm Amara looked at Michael a moment before giving him a small smile. "When I first joined the Praetorians over two thousand years ago, I had my brother and the legends of other Naram champions that had proceeded us to follow and aspire to. But since awaking in this century, I have had to learn to forge my own path, for myself and the Praetorians." She then placed one hand on his shoulder. "You did well. I have no doubt that if you continue to follow the example of those on the Freedom League and your instructors at Claremont, you will be able to get to where you wish to be. But if you ever truly feel you are in need of my perspective, the League and your Headmistress know how to contact me on CoVic Station." She said, giving him a small smile as he excused himself to go over to speak with Carmen. Star Khan gave Miachael a small nod and smile as well, before turning to regard Predator as she came over to the pair and Fleur. "You once again fought well friend Predator." He said in greeting before he looked down to regard the unconscious Sovereign as well. "I am sure the League will be able work out jurisdiction issues over Dovox with the Republic and Coalition worlds." Paradigm replied before glancing at Kinarr. "And I am sure the Stellar Khanate would also wish to assert charges against him as well." "This one has a lengthy history of criminal activity against the Republic and since the Incursion all the Coalition worlds. And the Khanate as well." The young Star Khan stated in agreement. "But in the meantime…" Paradigm then stated as she raised her left arm and activated her communicator. "Traveller, Galvanic, Moon-Moth. Dovox and his forces have been defeated here. What is the situation on the cruiser?"

Multi-Girl The tall armored figure looked over to Nighscale, apparently unfazed by the massive dragon. "I am Kinarr Khan. With the recent death of my father, I am the new Star Khan and ruler of the Stellar Khanate." The grey skinned alien responded in heavily accented English. Now that Nighscale, Multi-Girl and Stormcrow were able to focus on Star Khan, he appeared not that much older than they were, perhaps in his early-twenties. Although, what that meant in terms of his actual age for his alien race was other question. "Well, thank you fer keepin' them from continuin' ta hit me while I was down." Bernadette said with a small smile as she looked up at the tall alien. “I am glad to have arrive when I did, and I can see why they sought to keep you from returning to the battle." He replied, giving her a charming smile and glancing around a moment where several of Bernadette's duplicates were starting to see to the injured AEGIS agents in the various vehicles. He then turned back to Stormcrow, giving a small nod as Stormcrow indicated he need to question the leader of the supervillains. "Perhaps another time. As everything appears well in hand, I should be taking my leave. Still likely more heroic deeds to be done." With that, he took off into the sky and started flying off towards the north and downtown Freedom City. Visor slowly returned to consciousness after Stormcrow bound him and disengaged the visor he was wearing (it appeared to be a rather complex device, so there were good odds it was the source of his powers). Focusing on Stormcrow after a few moments, the villain gave him a slight smile. "Nice try hero. I will wait until I have a chance to speak with a lawyer before I say anything." In the distance, the sound of approaching sirens grew louder….

@RocketLord Will give you a +2 bonus for the circumstances. But that still isn't going to shift his attitude very much.

Multi-Girl Bernadette scowled slightly as Maestro blew her off and returned to trying to destroy the building. Looking at the four punk rockers that had turned to regard her, she gave them a small smirk. Then the redhead ran forward, heading between the punk rockers and Maestro. Then suddenly, there were over a dozen redheads running spreading out in all directions. Most swarmed round the four punk rockers, launching punches and kicks at them. While the first four attacks missed, four others were right behind the first duplicates, landing punches or kicks that sent all of the punks flying backward to land on the ground and dazed. Meanwhile, the original and one of the duplicates broke off towards Maestro. While one managed to land a solid hit on the supervillain, it was not nearly as effective as the attacks had been against the punk rockers. "Just because yer told ta bugger off, dosen' give you the right ta start tearin' the place up." The redhead stated, although she still could not hear herself.
