  1. I like the fluff Blarghy! So, couple of very minor things for the crunch: Stats, I think they should only cost 38 pp, not 40, as your Str 8 gives you 2 PP back (you counted it as a positive not a negative). So, I believe you actually have 2 unspent PP! Never mind, realize this was accounting for Shrinking. For Combat, looks good, might want to note that if you use all your extra limbs for grappling, you can add your 3 ranks in the power for grapple checks. Feats: Also looks good, might want to not that the Additional Limbs power gives you Improved Grapple feat for free (assuming you do not choose to apply all the extra limbs to improve your grapple score as mentioned above) Powers: They look good, I guess the one question I have is why do you have the Strike as Mighty? That seems like it is wasting 2 power points (1 for the extra rank and one for the feat that eliminates that extra rank). Why not just leave it as some trained martial arts strike (it is still a melee attack) and use those 2 power points for something else?
  2. Leviathan's Lair The depths of Great Bay, Freedom City, New Jersey Saturday February 10, 2018 Up on the surface of the waves of Great Bay, the winds still whipped the cold that had gripped the East Coast across the water toward Freedom City. But deep beneath the waves’ surface, the waters were not much colder than they normally were. Along the rocky floor of Great Bay, nestled amongst the kelp and seaweed beds that rouse up dozens of feet, lay the undersea lair that Dr. Tristan Delacroix had created to be his lair as Leviathan. It was there that the good doctor was currently located. After encountering the Deep One Aquaria (also known as the superhero Sea Devil) a few months ago, a number of different things had seemed to come up and prevent him from showing the Deep One his headquarters. But finally they had been able to find a day that fit both their schedules, so now Aquaira and her roommate Jessie White would soon be arriving.
  3. The ships go out as the need to, usually taking Praetorians to missions. They probably go on some patrols as well.
  4. Cool Blarghy, I took a glance at your character and things looked good, but did not make a detailed look. Only thing is the Praetorian ships have already been portrayed in terms of their size. The Devotion is big, but not a massive ship. It is actually based on a design starship design I got off DriveThruRPG. The deck plan has at least three decks, so it is big enough for a small sized crew (Vahn's old character had been a member of the crew during the battle with the Communion 2000 years ago). It's plans also have small hanger that could hold your fighter, so we could add that to the plan. The Kavaca is a much smaller ship, bigger than your fighter but only one deck and only a small cargo area. It is small enough that it really does not need any crew other that the Praetorians using it as a mission. I did add personnel to the HQ though, so we could think about who they might be an why they work for the Praetorians.
  5. The OOC for this thread, continuing things from Superpowered Babysitters Wanted.
  6. GM Both Rev and SFX barely hesitated before they moved into action, even as they felt the speed that Lawrence had provided start to fade. Luckily, they were close enough that they were still able to reach the portal before it vanished. The two teenagers vanished just as Lawrence and the simulacrum had previously. Within moments of Rev and SFX entering the portal it collapsed and the dance studio was empty once more. There was nothing that indicated anyone had ever been present, let alone was there any clue of where they might have gone.
  7. Unknown Wednesday February 14, 2018 (hopefully) When Rev and SFX entered the portal, they immediately felt as if they were being pulled forward at incredible speed, yet at the same time felt as if they were going nowhere. All around bright light flashed by, creating a sort of tunnel around them. Just a little ways ahead of them were the simulacrums who were still holding on to Lawrence. However, some sort of distortion appeared around the three, appearing to be centered on Lawrence. "You will be taken to the master." Said the simulacrum that looked like Robert. "It is inevitable."
  8. GM The two teenagers rushed back out of the room and up the stairs. SFX's botnet had located Lawrence and the two simulacrums up in the dance studio. It only too moments for the two to rush to that location. As they arrived the simulacrums had pulled Lawrence out of a closet in the room hidden behind a mirror. Lawrence was struggling as he said, "when my mother finds you two she is SO going to kick your butts!" Just then a hole seemed to form the air near the two and Lawrence went quiet as he stared at the rift with a very worried look. And suddenly all three were pulled into the rift, disappearing from site. The hole started to fluctuate, as if it were about to close…..
  9. Round Four 27 Lawrence (unharmed) 21 Rev (unharmed, 4 HP) 19 Not!Megan (bruised 2) 15 Not!Robert (unharmed) 14 SFX (unharmed, 3 HP) Okay, back to Rev Cape!
  10. GM Lawrence had been about to say something as Rev put him back down inside the house, but she was then gone. Rev returned to the home theater finding it much more chaotic than when she had left, several of the seats gone and the plaster on the wall cracked and damaged. The Megan look alike climbed back to her feet after being slammed between SFX's wall and the room’s, and though a bit worse for wear, but not out of the fight yet. "We will take Lawrence to the master." She said, before disappearing from view. The Robert look alike also vanished, leaving the two teenagers alone in the room.
  11. Okay, I will remove Not!Megan's daze (HP to SFX), she will stand up and teleport away, followed by Not!Robert. SFX is up Blaze!
  12. Round Three 27 Lawrence (unharmed) 21 Rev (unharmed, 4 HP) 19 Not!Megan (bruised 2, dazed) 15 Not!Robert (unharmed) 14 SFX (unharmed, 2 HP) Okay, will move forward to Rev again Cape!
  13. Okay, they both make saves, getting a 10 and 19, so Not!Megan fails, but Not!Robert makes it. Not!Megan only gets a 16, so is again dazed and gets another bruise. Not!Robert gets a 21 and since he made his reflex save, he is just fine.
  14. Not quite what happened. Was a paralyze effect. Anyway, SFX is up!
  15. GM Rev started off with Lawrence in hand, moving much faster than she normally did on foot, though still not near as fast as she could fly. She sped past the fake Megan she had previously downed and out the door of the room. She easily made her way back up to the first floor and was even able to continue on through the front door and outside. As she ran onto turnaround out in front of the mansion, she found that the night sky was filled with a glowing energy that seemed to form a dome over the mansion and much of the surrounding grounds. "Stop!" Lawrence called out as they exited. When Rev complied he pulled himself free from her grip and looked up at the sky. "This is bad." He stated. "That is some sort of time distortion. I…am not sure what will happen if we try to pass through it." Down in the home theater, the figure that looked like Megan climbed back to her feet and turned her focus to SFX. "Lawrence is a danger to timelines, it would be best if he came with us." Aiming her hand at SFX as the Robert look alike had, the figure fired a similar blue beam that struck SFX. The teenager felt a tingling sensation wash over her body. It felt as if her body the energy was trying to seize up her entire body, but she managed to resist the effect, and the sensation soon past. Suddenly the figure that looked like Robert appeared outside of the wall SFX had made. He also raised his hand to fire a similar beam at SFX, but this time she managed to dodge aside.
  16. Okay, Not!Megan gets back to her feet and tries to attack SFX. Hitting with a 18. That is a DC 20 Will save for SFX! Not!Robert appears outside the wall as well, also attacking SFX. Somehow missing with a 12.
  17. GM "Transmission received Doctor Quill. Stand by." Came reply from the fighter in front of Quill. Several long minutes seemed to pass before the pilot contacted Quill again. "Doctor Quill, you are requested to accompany us back to central command for additional debriefing." Once Quill had acknowledge his agreement to the request, the lead fighter used its maneuvering thrusters to spin back around a hundred and eighty degrees and started flying towards the largest of the space stations positions near the wormhole. The other two fighters flew into positions generally on either side of Quill. As they went, the space traffic nearby continued on what appeared to be business as usually, ships moving into and out of the wormhole, with those arriving being passing near Lor vehicles and some appearing to be boarded, possibly for inspection. As they drew near the largest of the space stations, Quill could more clearly see that it was heavily armed. The fighters took him to a landing bay along the outer ring of the station, after passing through the forcefield keeping out the vacuum beyond. Waiting inside the large landing bay was a small group of Lor. Quill recognized that the one standing in front of the others was a higher ranking officer, while the others appeared to be security troops. They were armed, but their weapons were holstered. "Greetings, I am Commander E'tten of the Lor Star Navy." The lead figure stated as Quill landed nearby. "I wanted to confirm that you identified yourself as Doctor Quentin Quill? As record fragments indicate that Doctor Quill disappeared while investigating a Quantum Dark Zone singularity three cycles ago."
  18. Okay, Round Two 27 Lawrence (unharmed) 21 Rev (unharmed, 4 HP) 19 Not!Megan (bruised) 15 Not!Robert (unharmed) 14 SFX (unharmed, 2 HP) There is not really anything Lawrence can do right now that would be worth a GM post at this point, so Rev is up!
  19. GM Officer Dressa had been contacting her headquarters as Barrier had asked when Traveller spoke addressed her once more. The squat Signaian looked up at Traveller as she replied. "If you are certain Praetorian. She seemed sincere in her apology and this seems to primarily be a result of some youthful exuberance. I would not want you to be lacking a necessary member of your team should the need arise." The officer then turned to the more immediate request. "Of course, we can return to the station and access the necessary information."
  20. GM "Of course Praetorians, I imagined you would want to see the damaged equipment." The security chief stated as he stood to lead the three out of the conference room. It was a short walk back through part of the facility and up to another of the landing bays, where they all boarded a smaller atmospheric flyer. The trip took them over more of the bleak, half lava covered portions of the planet. A short while later, the surface dropped out from beneath them and they were looking over a massive depression in which three large structures were built in a small circle toward the center of the depression. "This is the Emord Crater, the location of particularly rich veins of minerals that has been divided between the Regulas Corporation and the Tandeer and Sooran Corporations," Officer Lo-rid stated, pointing to one of the three buildings in the center of the depression in turn. The security officer guided the flyer toward the Regulas Corp's building, calling in for landing clearance as he did. Soon they had landed in a small hanger that just fit the flyer and walking through the corridors of the building. In contrast to the corporation's main headquarters on the planet, this facility was clearly primarily for mining operations. The halls were smaller and more cramped, a bit of a smoky haze in the air, likely a combination of the planet’s atmosphere and the mining operations themselves. Workers were moving about at a much quicker and more purposeful pace. Officer Lo-rid led the Praetorians toward a central turbolift, offering them face masks connected to a small purification cylinder if they wished for them. He took one, but merely clipped it to his uniform, not yet putting it over his mouth and nose.
  21. GM Quill had been to Lor-Van prior to joining the mission in the Ardor Belt and it certainly had been a sight to see, covered with vast cities and possessing immense science facilities. So when he decided to go where he had last known Solak to be, Lor-Van was the intended destination. As space unfolded back around him, Quill had a brief moment of panic that he had somehow been pulled back into the Quantum Dark Zone's event horizon. Instead of appearing near the Institute of Complex Hyperdimensional Physics, Quill had appeared in deep space, looking directly at a slowly spinning vortex of cosmic flotsam and light bending at unnatural angles. But as the initial panic faded and he backed away briefly, he realized he was looking at a wormhole. Even as that realization had come and he began to taken in more of his surrounding, Quill realized the space around the wormhole was anything but empty. Large space craft, many looking like some sort of large transport craft, were moving into and out of the wormhole in what appeared to be almost controlled like traffic patterns. A number of large Lor naval vessels were nearby, seemingly watching over the flow of space traffic. A bit further out from the wormhole, were a number of large artificial satellites, which also appeared to be of Lor manufacture. Just as he was focusing on those, Quill realized a trio of small Lor starfighters had pulled up near him, forming a small ring around him and with one hovering directly in front of him.
  22. GM "I will fight for the Kurabanda." Laark said with no hesitation. Soreen on the other hand gave a small sigh, but replied, "You know I am not really one to run toward a fight. But if there is anywhere here that we will find parts to fix the Xeno, it will be with the pirates. And I rather doubt they will give us any if we just ask. So, yeah, I'm in." Auramanda gave a small nod, then rose to his feet, his gaze sweeping over the gathered Kurabanda as he yelled out something in their native language. A thunderous cheer rose up from the gathered Kurabanda in response. Auramanda then looked to Starshot as he spoke again in crude Gal Standard, "you come, have great feast to honor your aid."
  23. GM Luckily the home theater was in the basement, so there was much less chance of causing too much unintended collateral damage. Rev aimed her mini-twister at the thing that looked like Megan, which almost dodged aside, but was still caught in the effect and sent flying back into one of the side walls of the room. Hitting the wall hard, the…whatever it was, fell to the ground, looking dazed. Meanwhile the thing that looked like Robert continued to walk forward, raising one hand which he pointed toward Rev. A blue beam shot from his hand, which Rev just managed to dodge. The beam struck the wall beneath the screen, but did not cause any apparent physical damage.
  24. Okay, Not!Megan will make a Reflex check to lessen the effect, she gets a 28!, so that actually cuts the power rank in half for the effect (so the roll is 22 to trip). She makes an Acrobatics check against the Trip, but only gets an 18, so she still is tripped! (just not as much knockback either). She will be slammed into a wall requiring a toughness save (DC 20) and she gets a 12, so bruised and dazed! She will miss her turn due to the daze. Not!Robert will attack Rev, but he misses with a 18 So, SFX is up!
  25. Well, that is going to hit, but we have house ruled that combined attacks do not let you get past Impervious.
